  • Mad Mel Gibson ‘Takes Hollywood Bad Boy Shia LaBeouf Under his Wing’ to Carry out ‘Reputation Rehab’ For Troubled Star

Gibson has taken troubled LaBeouf under his wing. MEGA

Former Hollywood A-lister Mel Gibson has become a de facto protege to bad boy Shia LaBeouf , RadarOnline.com has learned, helping him restart and rebuild his career.

The relationship has grown so tight, friends say the two have become like father and son.

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3WN9sD_0yNAOTC900
Gibson has put controversial comments and actions behind him. MEGA

Gibson, 69, and LaBeouf, 38, share a history of trashing their own public images , and sources say the Mad Max star wants to spare his young mentee the pain he went through by straightening him out and salvaging his career.

An insider told RadarOnline.com : “Mel has come into Shia’s life in a big way. They’re talking all the time about Catholicism, parenthood, and movies.

“It’s a friendship between two guys who continue to struggle for respect in Hollywood after multiple scandals.”

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1mww3j_0yNAOTC900
Now he wants to help guide LaBeouf back to relevancy. MEGA

Gibson’s stardom flamed out after his antisemitic blasts at Malibu cops in 2006, followed by vile outbursts about his estranged gal pal Oksana Girgorieva, who gave birth to their daughter, Lucia, in 2009.

Meanwhile, LaBeouf was hit with charges of sexual battery and physical and verbal abuse in a lawsuit brought by ex-lover FKA Twigs in 2020.

A team-up between the two could be mutually and financially beneficial for both parties.

The source continued: “Mel has become a real father figure and spiritual adviser in Shia’s life, and everybody is expecting them to turn this relationship into some interesting or offbeat film project at some point.”

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2p311D_0yNAOTC900
The young actor has had a difficult relationship with Mia Goth. MEGA

Gibson’s positive influence can already be seen. Recently, LaBeouf confessed that he’d acted like a lowlife toward Twigs, whom he dated for a year after they met on the set of 2019’s Honey Boy .

LaBeouf, who is still disputing his ex’s lawsuit , admitted: “I hurt that woman. I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.”

The Transformers star has been in an on-and-off relationship with Mia Goth , 31, since 2012. They wed in 2016, split in 2018, and reunited in 2020, before welcoming daughter Isabel in 2022.

LaBeouf continues to tell friends he is a changed man and that his purpose “is to be instructive with my life, so that I can be an advertisement – like a billboard – for a principled way of living.”

Gibson’s past continues to haunt him as well.

Back in 2010, RadarOnline.com obtained and published several stomach-turning audio tapes that captured the actor making horrific statements to and about Oksana Grigorieva .

In them, he suggested the Russian singer-songwriter’s “provocative” clothing was going to get her raped by a “pack of n——.”

He also admitted that he had hit her, knocking out her teeth, while she was holding their child. “You f–king deserved it,” he was heard shouting.

Gibson’s apparent dislike of all minorities came out at another point during the rant, during which he used the term “wetback” to describe a nanny who worked for the former couple.

He later demanded that Oksana perform oral sex on him while also threatening more physical harm to her.

Gibson went on to call Grigorieva a “b—h, c–t, whore, and gold digger” and blame his apparent financial woes on her.

In a surprising turn of events, Hollywood’s original bad boy, Mel Gibson, has reportedly taken troubled actor Shia LaBeouf under his wing in an effort to help him rehabilitate his tarnished reputation.

Gibson, known for his own controversial past and public outbursts, is said to have reached out to LaBeouf after hearing about the young actor’s recent run-ins with the law and erratic behavior.

Sources close to Gibson say that he sees a bit of his younger self in LaBeouf and wants to help guide him through the pitfalls of fame and the pressures of being a Hollywood star.

The duo has been spotted spending time together in Los Angeles, with Gibson allegedly offering LaBeouf advice on how to navigate the industry and stay out of trouble.

While some may question Gibson’s motives in taking LaBeouf under his wing, others see it as a positive step towards helping a troubled star find his way back to success.

Only time will tell if this unlikely mentorship will lead to a successful reputation rehab for Shia LaBeouf, but one thing is for certain – with Mel Gibson in his corner, anything is possible.

  • Schottenheimer takes lead in Cowboys’ search for a head coach, Pete Carroll bows out; more

FRISCO, Texas — The whirlwind week concludes without a decision from the Dallas Cowboys on who the 10th head coach in franchise history will be, or at least it hasn’t been made at the time of this article going to print. That means the waiting game continues in North Texas, but that doesn’t mean things have been exactly quiet at the team’s headquarters.

The departure of Mike McCarthy on Jan. 14 was met with the casting of a net that included an informal discussion with Deion Sanders and formal interviews with Leslie Frazier, Robert Saleh and former Cowboys’ offensive coordinator Kellen Moore — who is currently preparing to help lead the Philadelphia Eagles against the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game.

A dark horse then emerged from the forest, namely the most recent offensive coordinator in Dallas, Brian Schottenheimer, who interviewed for the position in-person on Tuesday

    And then again on Wednesday.

To this point, Schottenheimer is the only candidate, known or unknown, to land two formal interviews with a chance at becoming the successor to McCarthy, having spent the last two seasons as one of McCarthy’s (and Dak Prescott’s) key advisors heading into games on a weekly basis.

But while that was going on, legendary head coach Pete Carroll emerged as a darker horse with exceedingly great odds of pushing Schottenheimer — Carroll’s former offensive coordinator in Seattle for the Seahawks — out of the would-be throne following conversations with owner and general manager Jerry Jones this week.

In the end, it was the Las Vegas Raiders wooing Carroll away from the Cowboys with a multi-year deal to return to the sideline for their organization, and no one else’s.

And as this is all being figured out, special teams coordinator John “Bones” Fassel has chosen to depart for the Tennessee Titans, and wide receivers’ coach Robert Prince is reportedly taking his first interview, as the Miami Dolphins seek to speak with him about their vacancy in that role.

In all, accounting for the multiple interviews by Schottenheimer, it appears the deletion of Carroll from the process and Moore’s season still ongoing (the same to be said of another potential candidate in Joe Brady), signs are pointing toward the son of all-time great coach Marty Schottenheimer as having retaken the lead.

We will find out soon if he will cross the finish line.

In a shocking turn of events, former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has officially withdrawn his name from consideration for the Dallas Cowboys’ head coaching vacancy. This surprising decision comes as Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reportedly narrowed down his search to former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer and current Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

However, there is a new frontrunner emerging in the race to become the next head coach of “America’s Team.” Sources close to the situation have revealed that former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Marty Schottenheimer is now the leading candidate for the job. Schottenheimer, who has been out of coaching since 2006, has a proven track record of success in the NFL and is widely respected throughout the league.

While Schottenheimer may not have the same name recognition as Meyer or Bieniemy, many believe that his no-nonsense approach and emphasis on discipline could be exactly what the Cowboys need to get back on track. With a talented roster that includes star quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas is in desperate need of a coach who can bring out the best in their players and lead them to success.

It remains to be seen whether Schottenheimer will ultimately accept the Cowboys’ offer, but one thing is for certain: the search for a new head coach in Dallas just got a lot more interesting. Stay tuned for more updates as this story continues to develop.

  • Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Search Takes New Turn: Brian Schottenheimer?

The Dallas Cowboys could be in the latter stages of hiring a new head coach to replace Mike McCarthy.

Owner Jerry Jones and Co. have been conducting interviews since Dallas parted ways with McCarthy back on Jan.13. Former New York Jets head coach and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh got the first crack at interviewing. Deion Sanders also spoke to Jones about the vacancy. Though, that seems to be a real long shot.

Jones’ decision to wait so long to move on from McCarthy prevented Dallas from being serious contenders for Detroit Lions coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn. Ultimately, Johnson landed with the Chicago Bears in a surprising move. Glenn made his way to the Jets.

As the Cowboys’ process to find a new head coach plays out, their former offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore emerged as a top candidate. He’s currently employed in the same role with the Philadelphia Eagles as they prepare for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. Dallas can’t interview Moore until the Eagles’ season comes to an end, complicating things should they head to the Super Bowl.

We’re now hearing more about what Dallas might do moving forward. To say it’s surprising would be an understatement. It will also make Cowboys fans a bit squeamish.

Longtime Cowboys beat writer, Clarence Hill Jr. reported on Thursday that the Cowboys are closing in on promoting current offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to head coach.

“Look for the Cowboys to cross the finish line on hiring Brian Schottenheimer no later than Friday, possibly today,” Hill wrote on X.

Schottenheimer conducted his second in-person interview with the Cowboys’ brass on Wednesday. He joined Dallas as its offensive coordinator back in 2023, leading the top-scoring offense in his first season. This unit took a major step back in 2024, finishing 21st in scoring. Injures to Dak Prescott and others played a role in the regression.

Making Sense Of Brian Schottenheimer As Top Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Candidate

Dallas fans have every right to be frustrated with the organization. The Cowboys now boast the longest NFC Championship Game drought after the Washington Commanders punched their ticket to the title round last week. They have not made it since the end of the 1995 season. To put that into perspective, Prescott was two years old at the time.

For fans in Dallas, this would not be an attractive hire. Replacing Mike McCarthy with an internal hire wouldn’t exactly be blowing things up from a coaching perspective after an ugly 7-10 season. It would also be a slap in the face to McCarthy, clearly indicating that Dallas’ brass thought he was solely to blame for their struggles. That’s obviously not the case.

However, this makes all the sense in the world for Jones. The outspoken owner has made it more than clear in the recent past that he runs things in Dallas. He’s the boss.

“I bought the team, I think the first thing to come out of my mouth… Somebody asked, ‘Did you buy this for your kids?’ I said, ‘He** no. I bought it for me.’ And I didn’t buy an investment,” Jones said earlier in January about giving up his role as chief decision-maker, via The Athletic. “I bought an occupation, and I bought something I was going to do.”

Hiring Shottenheimer would enable Jones to maintain this power with very little pushback. The veteran assistant has not been a head coach in the NFL despite finding himself in several assistant roles since his days with the then-St. Louis Rams back in 1997. Jones consolidating power seems to be one of the common themes.

Forbes6 Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Candidates To Replace Mike McCarthy

It’s somewhat surprising in that the Cowboys were linked to six-time Super Bowl winning head coach Bill Belichick before he took the North Carolina Tar Heels head coach job.

“Bill Belichick would have been interested in the Cowboys’ job, and it’s believed that Dallas would have been interested in him, had he known the position would become available,” Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported recently.

The likes of Belichick and Pete Carroll would bring success we have not seen from Schottenheimer. In turn, they could be seen as major internal threats to Jones’ power.

As for Schottenheimer’s experience, he has served as offensive coordinator for the New York Jets (2006-2011), St. Louis Rams (2012-2014) and Seattle Seahawks (2018-2020). In his 14 years as a coordinator, Schottenheimer led five top-1o scoring offenses but only two have finished within that range in total yards.

Schottenheimer would bring experience and coaching pedigree to the mix. His father, Marty, served as an NFL head coach for 21 years at four different organizations.

From a pure on-field perspective, looking for an offensive mind makes sense for Dallas. It has a record four-year, $240 million contract committed to quarterback Dak Prescott. They need to put him in the best position to succeed. Whether Schottenheimer is the right pick is obviously up for debate.

As for a potential coaching staff Schottenheimer is looking to put together for the Cowboys, one big name stands out. Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan said recently that he would have been their defensive coordinator last season, but they refused to “pony up the cash.” Never a boring minute in Dallas. That’s for sure.

One thing is clear: The 82-year-old Jones knows that acing the hiring of a new head coach and staff has to be in the cards. Dallas entered the 2024 season with Super Bowl aspirations, only to lose double-digit games.

All the while, chief division rivals: the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles are set to do battle in the NFC Championship Game.

If the Dallas Cowboys want to return to their glory days of the 1990s, a change of culture within the organization and coaching ranks must be in the cards. It’s obviously an open question whether promoting an internal candidate such as Brian Schottenheimer would do that. Call me a skeptic.

The search for the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys has taken an unexpected turn with reports surfacing that former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is emerging as a top candidate for the position.

Schottenheimer, who was recently let go by the Seahawks after their playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams, is known for his offensive acumen and has garnered praise for his work with quarterback Russell Wilson.

While Schottenheimer may not have head coaching experience in the NFL, his track record as an offensive coordinator could make him an intriguing option for the Cowboys, who are looking to revamp their offense after a disappointing season.

It remains to be seen whether Schottenheimer will ultimately land the job, but his name being in the mix adds a new wrinkle to the coaching search in Dallas. Stay tuned for updates as the Cowboys continue their quest to find the right leader for their team.

  • Fantasy Basketball Pickups: Kel’el Ware takes over as starter

It’s finally happening. The Kel’el Ware breakout has arrived. Rostered in just 29% of leagues, Ware should be considered a must-roster player at this point. On Sunday, Ware started the second half of their win over the Spurs and contributed 25 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 34 minutes. He had slowly taken on a larger role off the bench, and he had a few strong performances prior to that, but starting the second half was a sign that he had earned more responsibility.

On Tuesday, Ware moved into the starting lineup alongside Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. It was the first start of his career, and he supplied 20 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes. There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Heat, specifically with what they’re going to do with Jimmy Butler. However, Ware has been a beacon of hope during these confusing times in Miami. The Heat still have two more games this week and three games next week.

Here are a few other options to consider streaming:

    PF/C Guerschon Yabusele (16% rostered), Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid’s availability will continue to be one of the biggest question marks in the league, which has opened up a ton of minutes for Yabusele and Andre Drummond, when available. Yabusele came off the bench on Tuesday, but he played more minutes than Drummond and was more productive statistically. The 76ers have two more games this week with a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, and they start next week with a back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday. Even if Embiid returns soon, he will miss at least two of their next four games. He is set to be re-evaluated soon, which should provide more clarity, but until he returns, Yabusele should be worth rostering.

SG/SF Duncan Robinson (14% rostered), Miami Heat

Robinson returned to the starting lineup three games ago and has been very productive. He had seven assists in his first start, and he has scored 43 points and hit 11 triples over their last two games. Robinson hasn’t been a dependable fantasy option this season, but he has the hot hand right now, making him worth considering if you need 3-pointers.

PG/SG Anthony Black (12% rostered), Orlando Magic

Black got the start on Tuesday and continued his productive stretch. This was his sixth straight game scoring in double figures, and he contributed 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer as a starter against Toronto with Cole Anthony (illness) sidelined. If Anthony remains out against Portland on Thursday, Black should continue to start and turn in strong value.

PG/SG Nick Smith Jr. (9% rostered), Charlotte Hornets

Smith Jr. remains widely available, but he has started their last two games and been productive. He has averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.0 steal and 4.0 threes per game as a starter, and with Brandon Miller out indefinitely, Smith Jr.’s starting job should be safe. They have three more games this week and two more four-game weeks after that.

Fantasy basketball managers, it’s time to take notice of rookie center Kel’el Ware. The young big man has officially taken over as the starting center for the Memphis Grizzlies and is making a big impact on both ends of the court.

Ware has been putting up impressive numbers in his new role, averaging double-digit points, rebounds, and blocks in his last few games. He’s showing off his shot-blocking prowess and has been a force on the boards.

If you’re looking to add a big man who can provide you with blocks, rebounds, and efficient scoring, Ware is your guy. He has the potential to be a game-changer for your fantasy team and could help lead you to victory.

Don’t wait too long to scoop up Ware off the waiver wire, as his value is only going to continue to rise as he settles into his starting role. Get ahead of the curve and add him to your roster before it’s too late.

  • Liam Coen Reverses Course, Takes 2nd Interview With Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars search for a new head coach has taken another wild twist.

According to multiple reports, of which Jacksonville Jaguars On Sports Illustrated can confirm, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is in Jacksonville for an in-person interview for the head coach job.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that Coen is the clear favorite to land the job after the Jaguars continued their pursuit of him following his withdrawl from the search.

Coen was set to meet with the Jaguars for an in-person interview on Wednesday, but took his name out of the running before his interview began. Coen agreed to a pay-raise and a new deal with the Buccaneers, which left the Jaguars scrambling.

Shortly after the Coen news stunned the Jaguars — who considered Coen the favorite for the job — the team agreed to part ways with general manager Trent Baalke. Baalke was seen as a huge road block in the Jaguars’ search, and the Jaguars quickly continued their pursuit of Coen on Wednesday evening.

This led to Coen traveling to Jacksonville on Thursday; as of this writing, Coen is inside the Jaguars’ facilities.

With the Jaguars interviewing Patrick Graham on Thursday, the Jaguars would be eligible to make a new hire as soon as his contract is up.

Coen, who has been a long-time assistant for Sean McVay and also had success with Will Levis at Kentucky, just wrapped up his first year as Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator — a year that saw the offense turn into a top-5 unit. In 2024, the Buccaneers ranked top-five in: total offense, scoring offense, rushing offense, passing offense, third-down percentage, and red-zone touchdown percentage.

“Liam has done an incredible job,” Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield said earlier this month.

“It’s the influence he’s had throughout all the guys teaching the game of football, and I’ve mentioned to you guys like all year, that teaching the details of why we’re doing certain things, why we have certain plays alerted or canned, whatever you want to call it. And he does a great job of that, and then calling the plays with player strengths, that’s what good OCs do. And so he’s done an unbelievable job.”

In a surprising turn of events, former Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Liam Coen has decided to reverse course and take a second interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars for their vacant head coaching position. Coen, who was originally reported to have declined a second interview with the Jaguars in favor of staying with the Rams, has apparently had a change of heart.

This development has caught many by surprise, as Coen was widely regarded as a rising star in the coaching ranks and was expected to remain with the Rams for at least another season. However, it seems that the opportunity to lead his own team in Jacksonville was too good to pass up.

The Jaguars, who are in the midst of a major rebuild after a disappointing season, are likely thrilled to have Coen reconsider his decision and are eager to see what he can bring to the table. With his innovative offensive mind and proven track record of success, Coen could be just what the Jaguars need to turn their fortunes around.

Only time will tell if Coen ultimately decides to accept the Jaguars’ offer, but one thing is for certain – the coaching carousel in the NFL is never short on surprises. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Trump takes shot at Bank of America, revives claims of discrimination

President Donald Trump on Thursday accused the CEOs of the two largest American banks of refusing to serve conservatives, reviving a 2024 campaign talking point that the two companies deny.

Speaking via video to an assembly held at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump lashed out at Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon as part of a Q-and-A session.

“I hope you start opening your bank to conservatives because many conservatives complain that the banks are not allowing them to do business within the bank, and that included a place called Bank of America,” Trump said.

“You and Jamie and everybody, I hope you’re going to open your banks to conservatives because what you’re doing is wrong,” Trump said.

Moynihan, who was among a few executives selected to ask the president questions during the Q-and-A, did not immediately respond to the accusation.

Both banks deny refusing service to conservatives.

“We serve more than 70 million clients, we welcome conservatives and have no political litmus test,” a Bank of America official said in an email.

“We have never and would never close an account for political reasons, full stop,” a JPMorgan spokeswoman said in a statement. “We follow the law and guidance from our regulators and have long said there are problems with the current framework Washington must address.”

In the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, caused in part by shoddy lending standards at major banks, U.S. regulators increased pressure on lenders to purge clients in industries considered higher risk for money laundering or fraud. That meant that payday lenders, pawn shops, firearms dealers and those involved in pornography had their accounts revoked, often with little notice or explanation as to why.

As recently as October, Trump singled out Bank of America, repeating claims that it discriminates against conservatives.

The accusations may have roots in allegations from state attorneys general last year. In April, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach sent a letter to Moynihan, accusing the bank of canceling the accounts of “multiple religious groups with mainstream views in the last three years.”

In a May letter in response to Kobach, Bank of America said accounts are de-banked for reasons including a change of stated purpose of the account, the expected level or type of activity on the account or failure to verify certain documentation required by law.

One account highlighted by Kobach was de-banked because it engaged in debt collection services, which was inconsistent with the Bank of America division that was servicing the account, according to the bank’s response.

“We would like to provide clarity around a very straightforward matter: Religious beliefs or political view-based beliefs are never a factor in any decisions related to our client’s accounts,” the bank said in that letter. “Bank of America provides banking services to non-profit organizations affiliated with faith-based communities throughout the United States. We have banking and investing relationships with approximately 120,000 faith-based clients in the United States.”

Influential people in Trump’s orbit have continued to claim that banks are discriminating based on religion or politics.

In November, Marc Andreessen, co-founder of the venture capital firm that bears his name, told podcaster Joe Rogan that dozens of startup founders had been de-banked in recent years. Andreessen has said he advises Trump on technology matters.

Bank of America shares were up more than 1% on Thursday, with JPMorgan shares higher as well.

The banking industry is seen as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the election of Trump, in large part because of expectations he would kill Biden-era regulatory efforts to force banks to hold tens of billions of dollars in additional capital against losses, make annual stress tests less opaque and drop efforts to cap credit card and overdraft limitations.

In a recent speech, former President Donald Trump took aim at Bank of America, reviving claims of discrimination against the financial institution. Trump accused the bank of unfairly targeting conservative individuals and businesses, stating that they have been denied loans and accounts based on their political beliefs.

This isn’t the first time that Bank of America has come under fire for alleged discrimination. In 2020, the bank settled a lawsuit with a former employee who claimed she was fired for posting conservative views on social media.

Trump’s comments have reignited the debate over whether banks should be allowed to deny services based on political beliefs. Supporters argue that businesses have the right to choose who they do business with, while critics believe that discrimination of any kind is unacceptable.

Bank of America has denied the allegations of discrimination and has stated that they do not make lending decisions based on political beliefs. However, Trump’s criticism has put a spotlight on the issue and raised questions about the role of banks in today’s political landscape.

  • Woman of Tomorrow’ Takes Off With First Set Image

Supergirl is here! DC head James Gunn has teased the first look at Milly Alcock’s Woman of Tomorrow as filming begins at Warner Bros. Leavesden studio. This marks the DCU’s second film after David Corenswet’s Superman which will come out this July. While fans have been aching to see Alcock’s version of Kara Zor-El, fans would have to wait for the actual reveal.

Taking to Twitter, Gunn shared a new image of Alcock, from the back, from the set of Supergirl. The image doesn’t give away much, but it sees Alcock’s usual blond hair with a shade of red in it, wearing a hoodie on a chair that flaunts the Supergirl logo. The set seems to have a neon glow, with dominant red and blue colors – that’ll remind you a bit of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 color pallet. Gunn wrote that he iss “Thrilled to see cameras roll at Warner Bros”.

What Do We Know About ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’?

While plot details about Supergirl are kept tightly under wraps, we certainly know about the topline talent behind the scenes. Craig Gillespie will serve as the director after recently directing Dumb Money, the story of the GameStop stock fiasco. He directs from a script by Ana Nogueira. Further, Rob Hardy, best known for his work with Alex Garland on Annihilation, Ex Machina, and Civil War, will serve as the cinematographer.

Another major star joining Alcock is ex-Aquaman Jason Momoa, who will play Lobo. While Alcock has stayed tight lipped about her Supergirl stint Gunn previously described their version of Kara Zor-El as “Superman was sent to Earth, and, and he was raised by incredibly loving parents, whereas Kara was in Krypton, she was on a piece of Krypton that drifted away from the planet, and lived there for the first 14 years of her life among [a] horrible situation where she watched everybody around her die. So she’s a much harsher and more f—ked up Supergirl than we’ve been used to this far.”

Supergirl flies into theaters on June 26, 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for more such updates and check out the first look at Supergirl above.
