  • Leeds United in talks to sign £15m striker compared to Jean-Philippe Mateta and he wants to join

TBR Football understand Leeds United have now opened talks with Southampton over a deal to sign Cameron Archer.

Daniel Farke currently has the Whites sitting at the top of the Championship – although the German could use some added firepower in attack with Sheffield United and Burnley in hot pursuit.

Joel Piroe boasts a respectable record of ten goals in 29 Championship appearances so far this season, but Mateo Joseph only has two goals in 28 games, so Leeds could do with someone to push the Dutchman.

Now, sources have informed TBR Football that Leeds United are in talks with Southampton over a deal to sign Cameron Archer.

Leeds United in talks to sign Cameron Archer from Southampton

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been told that Leeds are currently holding talks with Southampton over a deal for the man born in Walsall.

Archer – who Southampton signed from Aston Villa in a £15m deal back in August – has only made ten Premier League starts out of a possible 23 this season, scoring twice, and the Saints are ready to let him depart.

We understand Southampton would allow the 23-year-old to leave on loan, but will insist on an obligation for Leeds to buy him permanently if they achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Sources have also told TBR Football that Sunderland are ready to make a bid for Archer as well, although Leeds – who face a fight to keep Pascal Struijk from Tottenham and Wolves – are in pole position.

The Whites are also believed to have shown an interest in Middlesbrough No.9 Emmanuel Latte Lath, but their attention is now solely on the Southampton No.19 – who is understood to be keen on a move to Elland Road.

Cameron Archer has been compared to Jean-Philippe Mateta

Archer boasts a strong record in the Championship, having previously scored 18 goals in 40 appearances for Middlesbrough and Preston.

Despite his struggles for a consistent starting role this season, the England U21 international is still doing plenty right in terms of underlying numbers, with data site FBref comparing him to Jean-Philippe Mateta and Rasmus Hojlund, two strong Premier League strikers.

Leeds United are reportedly in talks to sign a £15m striker who has been compared to Jean-Philippe Mateta, and it seems like he is eager to make the move to Elland Road.

The 24-year-old forward has been turning heads with his performances in his current club, and Leeds are keen to bring him in to bolster their attacking options.

Comparisons to Crystal Palace’s Mateta have been made due to their similar playing styles and goal-scoring abilities, and it seems like Leeds are looking to replicate the success that Mateta has had in the Premier League.

Reports suggest that the striker is excited about the prospect of joining Leeds United and playing under Marcelo Bielsa, and negotiations are said to be progressing well.

With Leeds looking to secure their place in the Premier League for another season, the addition of this talented striker could be just what they need to push them up the table.

Fans will be eagerly awaiting confirmation of the signing, and if all goes well, they could soon be seeing this exciting new talent in action at Elland Road.

  • Kalen DeBoer talks Ryan Williams’ ‘taking next steps as a leader’

MOBILE, Ala. — Standing approximately 14 miles from Saraland High School, Kalen DeBoer couldn’t help but show gratitude when talking about a former Spartan.

On Jan. 24, 2024, Saraland five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams re-committed to Alabama after initially reopening his recruitment following Nick Saban’s retirement. Fast forward 12 months, and the 17-year-old has risen into a household name among college football fans.

“A year ago this time, we were pretty excited about the commitment, and that’s what it was, that he had made to come play football at Alabama,” DeBoer said Tuesday at the Senior Bowl. “And you got into the summer, and you’re like, ‘Wow, this is fun working with him.’ And then we saw what he can do in the season.”

Williams’ freshman season was one to remember. The five-star receiver totaled 48 catches for 865 yards and eight touchdowns through the air, adding two scores on the ground. One of the defining moments of his season came in Week 5 against No. 2 Georgia, when he hauled in a jump ball and took it 75 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, helping propel Alabama to an electric 41-34 victory. After his impressive debut season, he was named both a Freshman All-American and First-Team All-SEC.

Williams has not only become a fan favorite but also a well-liked presence in the locker room. DeBoer said he’s been impressed with the young receiver’s growth as a leader.

“I know that he’s got much higher goals than what he accomplished this year, and that’s individually and as a team. I’m really excited about him taking the next steps as a leader now,” DeBoer added. “He’s gonna take care of his business and do what he needs to do, and we’re gonna be there to help him refine the things that are gonna make him the best of the best. But he’s a team player through and through. We saw that all season long.”

Alabama brings back its top two receivers from 2024, Williams and Germie Bernard, who are set to play prominent roles in an offense with a new quarterback in 2025. DeBoer said he appreciates the leadership from his two experienced pass catchers.

“[Williams] and Germ kind of coming back as the leaders of the receiving corps, I’m excited about what they bring from a mindset,” DeBoer said. “When your best players are your best people and highest-character guys, it’s exciting what it can become. We have that at the receiving corps, we’ve added some guys too with the early enrollees and the newcomers. I really like the way that group’s gonna come along under their guidance and leadership.”

Alabama’s A-Day spring game is set for April 12. The Crimson Tide opens the 2025 season on Aug. 30 at Florida State.

Kalen DeBoer, the head coach of the University of Washington football team, recently spoke about quarterback Ryan Williams’ growth as a leader on and off the field. DeBoer praised Williams for his dedication to improving his leadership skills and taking the necessary steps to become a more vocal and influential presence in the team.

In a press conference, DeBoer highlighted Williams’ commitment to his teammates and his willingness to put in the work to lead by example. “Ryan has really stepped up this offseason in terms of taking on a leadership role,” DeBoer said. “He’s been working hard in the weight room, studying film, and pushing his teammates to do the same.”

DeBoer also noted that Williams has been actively communicating with his teammates and coaches, providing feedback and guidance to help the team improve. “Ryan is not afraid to speak up and hold his teammates accountable,” DeBoer added. “He’s really taken ownership of his role as a leader and is setting a great example for the rest of the team.”

As the team prepares for the upcoming season, DeBoer is confident that Williams will continue to grow and develop as a leader both on and off the field. “I’m excited to see Ryan continue to take the next steps in his leadership journey,” DeBoer said. “He has all the qualities of a great leader, and I have no doubt that he will continue to inspire and motivate his teammates to reach their full potential.”

With Williams leading the way, the University of Washington football team is poised for a successful season ahead. Stay tuned for more updates on Williams’ progress as a leader and the team’s journey to victory.

  • Anson Williams Talks About Friendship with Happy Days’ Ron Howard, Henry Winkler

Anson Williams learned how to be part of a team thanks to Happy Days — on set and on the softball field.

On the Jan. 30 episode of 9021OMG, Williams, who played Potsie Weber on Happy Days, reflected on his friendships with his costars Henry Winkler, who played Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli, and Ron Howard, who played Richie Cunningham, and how creator Garry Marshall helped forge their connection.

“We have been close friends for decades,” Williams, 75, said, noting that Winkler, Howard and Don Most (who played Ralph Malph) are “literally a text away.”

“It’s just been a wonderful friendship. And just to have that kind of friendship that many years? It’s pretty unique,” he said. “But that has a lot to do with Garry Marshall, our mentor.”

Marshall, who died in 2016 at age 81, “really cared about us,” Williams said, “not just as a showrunner, but as young people because we didn’t know much.” He encouraged all of them to learn as much as possible on set by shadowing directors and writers and treating the set like “school,” and Williams said he thinks that’s why they’re all “still involved” in entertainment.

“Early on, Garry, he sat us down. I’ll never forget it,” Williams remembered. “He said, ‘You guys are gonna be famous. You don’t deserve it. But you’re gonna be famous. There’s gonna be a light on you. Your responsibility is, you take the light and put it on someone that does deserve it.’ ”

The “other thing” that Williams remembered as the best part of his experience on Happy Days was the show’s softball team. Marshall was a “sports fanatic” and had the idea for it. Williams remembered that all his castmates, except Winkler, 79, were ex-athletes, but Howard, 70, and his brother Clint taught him to pitch and he “ended up being really, really good.”

The team toured the country, played in major stadiums before games and “hardly ever lost.” They also ended up playing on USO tours. Marshall told them, “I put it together because you always have the back of your teammate. I think it’s gonna come back to the set. I think it’s gonna stop a lot of evil.” And it did.

Post-Happy Days, Williams became a director and has helmed episodes of Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Lizzie McGuire and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. He told hosts Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling that fans still call him Potsie when they see him.

Ron Howard during a softball game with the ‘Happy Days’ cast in the 1970s.

Williams said that when Happy Days became a hit after its premiere in 1974, it was Howard who told him “Anson, you gotta earn your name … How do you think I feel? I have two: Opie and Richie,” referencing his The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days character names. “You’ve got one. Shut up.”

“We have to earn our names. Take this and do something bigger with it,” Williams said. Still, Williams joked, “Ron had won the Oscar, and they’re calling him Richie.”

Williams stayed with Happy Days throughout its run until 1984.

Anson Williams, known for his role as Potsie Weber on the iconic TV show Happy Days, recently opened up about his close friendship with his former co-stars Ron Howard and Henry Winkler.

In a candid interview, Williams shared that the bond he shares with Howard and Winkler has remained strong over the years, even after the show ended in 1984. He described Howard as “the ultimate big brother” and credited him with being a mentor and guiding force in his life.

Williams also spoke highly of Winkler, who played the lovable greaser Fonzie on the show. He praised Winkler for his talent, work ethic, and kindness, saying that he is “a true friend in every sense of the word.”

The trio’s friendship has stood the test of time, with Williams noting that they still keep in touch and support each other in their personal and professional endeavors. He emphasized the importance of having strong friendships in the entertainment industry, where relationships can be fleeting and superficial.

As fans of Happy Days, it’s heartwarming to hear about the enduring friendship between Anson Williams, Ron Howard, and Henry Winkler. Their bond is a testament to the power of genuine connections and the lasting impact of shared experiences.

Man City open talks for €60m former Barcelona midfielder, club have 40% sell-on clause

Man City open talks for €60m former Barcelona midfielder, club have 40% sell-on clause

FC Barcelona could find themselves in a situation where they can benefit financially in a big way before the transfer window closes through a deal involving one of their former players.

Mika Marmol, currently at UD Las Palmas, is attracting interest from AS Roma as well as Sevilla, with Barça retaining 50% of his rights.

Now, another former La Masia talent, Nico Gonzalez, playing at FC Porto is the subject of transfer speculation.

    Man City want Nico Gonzalez

According to Fabrizio Romano, Premier League champions Manchester City have opened talks to sign Nico Gonzalez from Porto – a deal which would bring significant revenue for Barcelona.

Pep Guardiola’s side have made a formal approach for the Spanish talent and are in talks with the Portuguese giants as they seek to add a new midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Nico has a release clause worth €60 million in his contract with Porto, while Barcelona hold a 40% future sell-on clause.

As per the update from Romano, Porto are unwilling to let the ex-La Masia talent leave and will only consider his departure for a significantly high fee.

In that scenario, the Blaugrana will stand to benefit greatly as they would be entitled to 40% of the transfer fee that Manchester City pay to Porto for Nico.

Should the deal go ahead swiftly, it might also open the doors for Barcelona to sign Marcus Rashford, whose pursuit has hit a standstill owing to the lack of salary space.

Manchester City is reportedly in talks to sign former Barcelona midfielder, Thiago Alcantara, for a fee of €60 million. The Spanish international, who currently plays for Bayern Munich, is said to be interested in a move to the Premier League.

One interesting aspect of the potential transfer is that Barcelona have a 40% sell-on clause in place for Thiago, meaning they will receive a significant portion of any future transfer fee if he is sold by City.

Thiago, known for his technical ability and vision on the field, would be a valuable addition to City’s midfield as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Should the deal go ahead swiftly, it might also open the doors for Barcelona to sign Marcus Rashford, whose pursuit has hit a standstill owing to the lack of salary space.

Manchester City have reportedly opened talks with former Barcelona midfielder, who is currently playing for another club. The Premier League champions are said to be willing to pay €60m for the talented midfielder, who has impressed with his performances in recent years.

It is understood that City are keen to bring the player to the Etihad Stadium as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The club are said to be in negotiations with the player’s current club, with a deal potentially close to being agreed.

One interesting aspect of the deal is that Barcelona have a 40% sell-on clause in the midfielder’s contract, meaning they would be entitled to a significant portion of any future transfer fee. This could complicate negotiations between the two clubs, but City are said to be confident of reaching an agreement.

City fans will be excited at the prospect of adding such a talented player to their squad, and will be hoping that a deal can be completed in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing transfer story.

  • Mets in talks with Padres about Dylan Cease trade

The Mets showed they don’t like long-term deals for pitchers when they didn’t pursue Max Fried or Corbin Burnes, but they’ve been trying for Padres rental ace Dylan Cease (and presumably would also consider rotation mate Michael King).

The Cubs also are involved. But while their prospect list is ranked higher, with highly regarded 3B prospect Matt Shaw understandably off limits in rental deals, the Padres may prefer the Mets’ list, including Brandon Sproat, Jett Williams and Luisangel Acuña.

The Padres will listen on just about all (except Manny Machado or Fernando Tatis Jr.), so that likely does include King, also free after 2025.

If the Padres trade either starter, they will consider Nick Pivetta or Jack Flaherty.

Flaherty is a surprise in his continuing availability since he’s only 29, has no qualifying offer attached, was 13-7 with a 3.18 ERA in 2024 and had big postseason starts against the Mets and Yankees.

Pivetta, despite the QO, has interest from 10 teams, including the Jays, who’re focusing on pitching (while also trying to extend superstar Vladimir Guerrero). Flaherty’s former Tigers team is interested in him, while the Giants may sign more pitching.

Max Scherzer told the Jays he’d happily consider them if they look like a pennant contender following their 74-win campaign, and after they signed Anthony Santander, Scherzer was good to his word, agreeing at $15.5M for 2025.

The Mets offered old favorite Mark Canha a non-guaranteed deal. It’s been a slow market for position players over 32, but Canha, a versatile guy with power who’s posted an above-average OPS-plus seven years running, could help many.

J.D. Martinez, a big influence in the Mets’ winning clubhouse, is aiming to play in 2025.

The Mets are interested in a reunion with Mark Canha.

The Mets haven’t yet strongly pursued Jose Iglesias, who belongs in Queens. OMG, does he ever!

According to sources, the New York Mets are currently in talks with the San Diego Padres about a potential trade involving pitcher Dylan Cease. The 25-year-old right-hander has shown promise in his young career, with a fastball that can reach the upper 90s and a solid repertoire of off-speed pitches.

The Mets, who are looking to bolster their pitching staff for a playoff push, see Cease as a potential valuable addition to their rotation. Meanwhile, the Padres are looking to add depth to their lineup and may be interested in some of the Mets’ prospects in return.

While nothing is set in stone yet, this potential trade could shake up both teams’ rosters and provide a boost for each team as they look to make a push for the postseason. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • “I Haven’t Had a Record Touch Me like That in So Long”: Jelly Roll Talks “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” Worship, and Being “Hurt by the Church”

Faith has played a central role in Jelly Roll’s rise to country music stardom. His industry debut, Whitsitt Chapel, delved into themes of spirituality, sin, and redemption. So it makes sense that the Antioch, Tennessee-raised artist (born Jason DeFord) would choose Brandon Lake for his latest collaboration. Lake is currently tearing up the contemporary Christian charts with “Hard Fought Hallelujah.” And when Jelly Roll heard the song, it stirred up something within him that he knew he had to lean into.

Jelly Roll Gets Candid About His Struggles With the Church

Part of Jelly Roll’s appeal lies in his steadfast commitment to honesty, especially when it comes to his past. He doesn’t gloss over his past battles with incarceration and substance abuse. In a recent conversation with collaborator Brandon Lake, the “Need a Favor” singer revealed that his walk with God hasn’t always been a straight line.

“I carry my faith with me, but I’m also struggling, and very honest and open about that,” he said. “I’ve been so bitter and hurt by the church and their dogma that I created my own.”

However, Jelly also firmly believes that “music meets us where we are.” That’s what “Hard Fought Hallelujah” did for him, and what he hopes to do by teaming up with Lake.

“I haven’t had a record touch me like that in so long,” Jelly told Lake. “It’s been years since I worshipped the way that I worshipped to that song.”

[RELATED: “The Ultimate Cry for Help” Why Jelly Roll’s Favorite Song off ‘Beautifully Broken’ Is the Most Painful]

He continued, “I needed that record when I heard it, but then to double back and be like, ‘Yo, there’s a chance you could work on this record with this guy.’ And I’m like, ‘Whoa, God sends me this record, and not only does He want me to listen to it and worship, He wants me to live with it and learn it.”

“Hard Fought Hallelujah” Drops Feb. 7

Released in November, “Hard Fought Hallelujah” marks Brandon Lake’s sixth No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart. The song’s crossover appeal also gave the Charleston, South Carolina-based pastor his first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

In a recent post to his Instagram stories, Lake shared his excitement for the upcoming Jelly Roll version of “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”

“It’s been so cool. I cannot wait for this to come out,” he said. “I cannot wait for y’all to hear the back story and how we’ve become friends.”

  • “I’m genuinely confused” – Love Island: All Stars’ Curtis Pritchard talks about meeting Danielle

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=29JnLq_0yXKEUIC00

Love Island: All Stars Season 2 Episode 17 was released on January 29, 2025, and introduced two new bombshells to the villa. However, tensions became high when Curtis got a text to spend the night in the hideaway with the new female bombshell, that is, Danielle.

This stirred the pot with Ekin Su who was visibly not happy to let her Love Island partner visit Danielle.

Despite that, Danielle and Curtis spent the night together and talked. The two got to know each other and shared what kind of partners they would like to have on the show. Danielle said that she wants to date someone who is her type even in the outside world.

She says she will not waste time with Curtis until she sees him as the “father” of her child. This struck a happy nerve in Curtis as he claimed that he also is trying to find a “mother” to his children and settle down.

Earlier, before the sleepover, he was questioned by the boys about being with the new bombshell. To this, he replied,

    “I’m genuinely confused.”

Love Island: All Stars Islander Curtis Pritchard is confused about his relationship

In the most recent episode of Love Island: All Stars , Curtis Pritchard spent time with Danielle, a new bombshell who has entered the villa. This sleepover in the hideaway has allegedly confused him and made him question his existing partnership with Ekin Su. He says he wants to settle down and wants someone who is their authentic self.

Ekin Su, while discussing the “confused” issue of Curtis with her friends, said that it doesn’t make sense. She is overthinking the whole deal because she didn’t feel reassured by her partner but instead got a “confused” remark.

This happened before Curtis could go meet Danielle and Ekin Su is not sure why he was confused even before meeting with the new islander.

Later in the episode, Danielle and Curtis sit down to chat while Ekin Su is trying to approach him. However, she was stopped by other islanders . She saw them smiling and having a good time which resulted her in going to a corner and tearing up. Ronnie rushed to her aid and hugged her as she cried .

Elsewhere, Curtis is not aware of what is happening and continues to chat with Danielle. He shares,

“I want somebody to be themself, completely themself, 100% themself. I’ve shut everyone off in this villa because I was ‘closed off.’”

On Love Island: The Morning After , Amy, Indiyah, and Kae discuss Curtis and his relationship with both, Danielle and Ekin Su . Indiyah points out how Curtis earlier thought that his relationship with Ekin was moving too fast but when faced with the same question in front of her partner, he denied it.

Indiyah says that this felt like him hiding his true feelings. Kae soon points out that this is something that has happened before and indeed it has. Curtis was with Amy before in another season and had done the same thing.

In a first look for the next episode, Ekin Su and Curtis are seen having a chat. He says that he will talk to her about it all the next day but Ekin points out that she knows what he’s going to say. She says,

“I know what you’re gonna say. You’re gonna say, ‘Ekin, I’ve really enjoyed spending time with you, but this is all too much for me. I’m really happy getting to know Danielle. Goodbye. That’s what you’re thinking.’”

Love Island: All Stars releases every day on ITV2 and can be streamed online through ITVX.

I’m genuinely confused – Love Island: All Stars’ Curtis Pritchard talks about meeting Danielle

Love Island fans were left scratching their heads after Curtis Pritchard opened up about his recent meeting with Danielle, a mystery woman he had been spotted with at a local cafe.

In an Instagram post, Curtis shared a photo of himself and Danielle smiling together, sparking speculation about their relationship status. However, the former Love Island contestant quickly cleared up any confusion by explaining that Danielle was simply a friend he had met through mutual connections.

“I’m genuinely confused by all the speculation surrounding my meeting with Danielle,” Curtis wrote. “She’s just a friend I recently met through some mutual friends. There’s nothing romantic going on between us, so please stop jumping to conclusions.”

Despite Curtis’ clarification, fans couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to the story. Some even speculated that Danielle could be a potential love interest for Curtis on the upcoming season of Love Island: All Stars.

For now, it seems that Curtis and Danielle are just friends, but only time will tell if their relationship will develop into something more. Stay tuned for more updates on this intriguing Love Island mystery.

  • Adam Levine Talks ‘The Voice’ Return Without Blake Shelton (Exclusive)

Adam Levine is excited to make his grand return to The Voice, but knows it’ll feel a little different without his best buddy, Blake Shelton.

Still, that won’t prevent the Maroon 5 frontman from making some jokes at Shelton’s expense.

“The best part about being back with The Voice Family is that I don’t have to deal with Blake Shelton,” Levine, 45, quips while chatting with PEOPLE in this week’s issue about his return to the NBC hit series. “I just don’t like him. So, it’s been great not having to be around him. He’s a bad friend…”

“I’m just kidding,” he clarifies. “Of course, I love Blake. And I had to open with a Blake joke because he’s not on the show anymore, yet they still continue.”

Levine and Shelton, 48, were among the four original coaches when The Voice premiered in 2011. The Maroon 5 frontman remained on the show until 2019 when he left after 16 seasons, and Shelton followed a few years later in May 2023 after 23 seasons. During their tenure on the show together, the two became close friends while also poking fun at one another with playful insults and jokes.

Now, Levine is back for season 27 — and he tells PEOPLE he’s been welcomed into the fold again with open arms.

“It’s really great to be back, because I had plenty of time to not be on the show, and to do my thing, and to not have that define me, for lack of a better way of saying it,” he explains. “It was nice to go and just be with my family, and go tour, and do music, and do what I was originally in my mind intended to do: make music and play music.”

“But it’s so nice because now here I am, and it’s totally enjoyable because I’ve had that time,” he continues. “It was such a whirlwind when it started, that all of a sudden it was eight years in and it was just nice to be able to take a break. So, coming back has been fantastic. The family has embraced me with loving arms… A lot of the same people that are working on the set that I’ve missed, and seeing their faces, and doing the work. And it’s been really fun.”

For the upcoming season, Levine will be joined by fellow coaches Kelsea BalleriniMichael Bublé and John Legend. But, he says, none of them can replace Shelton and the frenemy banter they displayed each week.

“No. No, no, definitely not. There’s no replacing [Shelton],” he says. “The thing that happened with Blake and I, it was so organic, and it was based on our friendship.”

“Because nobody really realizes that we were thrown into this thing that wasn’t a thing yet. Our friendship was based on this not knowing what the hell was happening, and being silly, and stupid with each other,” he explains.

“And that became something that people love to watch. It was very organic, and very unplanned and spontaneous. And all of a sudden we realized people loved watching us talk s— to each other. So, we thought to ourselves, ‘Let’s just do it. And hey, is there such thing as too far?’ And he’s like, ‘No.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, probably not. Let’s just go at it.’ And we just had fun with it.”

As for what he’s bringing into season 27, Levine says he has a renewed idea of his purpose on the show.

“I don’t really see it as a competition anymore, and I know they’re not going to like that, but that’s not what it is. It’s an opportunity for us to share our experiences with the people on the show. And it always has been that,” he shares. “I mean, you definitely get competitive that those juices flow for sure. But I don’t see it as a competition and I don’t think that I can bring anything other than what I have just from life and a career. And I think that’s really valuable for the people on the show that are needing that experience, or that push that help. And that’s what I think we’re there for.”

“I’ve never liked to think of it in terms of a competition, because it’s kind of a ridiculous concept,” he adds. “It’s music, and we’re all supposed to help each other out, and get each other’s backs, and make each other better. So, that’s kind of what it’s really about. The competition, you get lit up by that part of it, especially in the beginning. The blind auditions are very competitive because you really want these really talented singers on the team, and then after that it becomes about something more.”

Season 27 of The Voice premieres Monday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
