The Brazilian influencer employed a tattoo studio who said they hired a private hospital with all the equipment, staff and drugs necessary to help give him the massive inking.

Ricardo told his 218,000 Instagram followers in a message shortly before the tragedy: “I’m about to undergo a surgical procedure and will only be back here after 4pm.”

A police investigation was ongoing today as officials look into the tragedy.

He died on Monday in the coastal town of Itapema in Brazil’s southern Santa Catarina state.

The owner of the tattoo studio which was going to ink Ricardo said: “What happened was that, at the beginning of the sedation and intubation, he went into cardiac arrest.

“That occurred before they even started tattooing him.

“He was quickly checked and a cardiologist was called in to try to revive him, unfortunately without success.”

A message posted on Ricardo’s Instagram yesterday said: “It is with great regret that we inform you about the death of Ricardo Godoi yesterday at midday.

“At this painful moment, we show solidarity with his friends and family, wishing them strength and comfort to overcome this unbearable loss.

“Let Ricardo’s memory be remembered with affection and respect by those who had the privilege of knowing him.”

Another touching tribute read: “Today we say goodbye to Ricardo Godoi, an incredible person who left his mark on the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

“His joy, generosity and light will remain present in our memories and in every story he helped to build. May he rest in peace.”

The influencer had built up a successful business selling luxury sports cars including Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

The tattoo studio hired by Ricardo said in a full statement: “Ricardo was going to have a full back tattoo done with us under general anaesthetic, sedation and intubation.

“To do this, we hired a private hospital with all the staff, equipment and anaesthetic drugs necessary for the safety of the procedure.

“We also hired a doctor with a specialism in anaesthesiology and experience in intubation, whose documentation was approved by the hospital.

“Blood tests were requested beforehand, which showed no explicit risk in carrying out the procedure. Ricardo signed the consent form regarding the risk of the procedure.”

The hospital where he died has been named locally as Dia Revitalite Hospital.

Speaking ahead of his funeral friend Eduardo Razuk said: “I spoke to him in the morning. Unbelievable, none of us expected that.

“He’s already in my prayers, Godoi was certainly an enlightened person.”

Another said: “An incredible person. He treated people so well, always with enthusiasm. Rest in peace. You helped a lot of people fulfil their dreams.”

While speaking on WWE Tattooed, Kevin Owens explained that he didn’t want to get his first tattoo until he knew he could make a living wrestling, as it would hinder other job opportunities.

“I was pretty young when I decided I wanted tattoos, but I didn’t wanna get any tattoos before I knew for a fact that I was gonna make a living as a wrestler. Because at the time, back when I was young, There was this thing, right? Like, ‘oh, you can’t get tattoos all over you. It’s going to hinder your chances to get some jobs,’ this and that.”

Kevin Owens, known for his fearless in-ring persona and hard-hitting wrestling style, didn’t always have his trademark tattoos. In fact, Owens didn’t get his first tattoo until he knew he would make a living wrestling.

Growing up as a fan of professional wrestling, Owens (whose real name is Kevin Steen) always dreamed of making it in the industry. However, it wasn’t until he signed his first contract with Ring of Honor in 2007 that he decided to get his first tattoo.

Owens wanted his tattoo to symbolize his dedication and commitment to his wrestling career. He chose to get a tattoo of his children’s names on his left arm, a constant reminder of why he works so hard and sacrifices so much for his passion.

Since then, Owens has added several more tattoos to his collection, each one representing a different aspect of his life and career. From his love of wrestling to his family and personal beliefs, Owens’ tattoos tell a story of his journey to becoming one of the top stars in the industry.

So next time you see Kevin Owens in the ring, take a moment to appreciate the tattoos that represent his dedication and determination to succeed in the world of professional wrestling.

  • Kevin Owens On the Origin Of His Corresponding Tattoo With Steve Corino

Kevin Owens and Steve Corino have corresponding tattoos, and Owens talked about them in a recent WWE video. Corino and Owens have long been friends, and Owens spoke about his “LIVE” ink on the latest WWE Tattooed.

“I got this tattoo that says ‘LIVE,’” Owens said (per Fightful). “Because the E is backward, some people say ‘EVIL’ A lot of people get this one, and they ask me first if it’s okay, and I’m always happy to say, ‘Yeah, sure, go ahead.’ This one resonates with a lot of people. I got this tattoo at the same time as Steve Corino. He has the same one as well, and it’s the name of our faction in Ring of Honor.”

Owens continued, “He’s my mentor. He brought me to Japan for the first time. We wrestled each other in 2004. He came to Ring of Honor where I was working full time and immediately as soon as he showed up, I’m like, he’s got to be with me. My last match in Ring of Honor was against him. Couldn’t have been against anybody else. Now he works at the Performance Center. We don’t talk as much as we wish just because of life. We don’t see each other as much as we wish because of life. But there’s absolutely a lifelong bond for sure.”

Kevin Owens, also known as Kevin Steen in his pre-WWE days, recently sat down for an interview where he revealed the origin of his corresponding tattoo with fellow wrestler Steve Corino.

In the interview, Owens explained that he and Corino got matching tattoos to symbolize their friendship and bond as wrestling brothers. The tattoo features a design that represents their shared love for the sport and their mutual respect for each other as competitors.

Owens went on to say that the tattoo holds special significance for him, as it serves as a reminder of the many battles he and Corino have fought together in the ring and the enduring friendship that has developed between them over the years.

Fans of Owens and Corino will no doubt appreciate the story behind this unique tattoo and the deep connection it represents between these two talented wrestlers.
