  • HBK Superkicks Kevin Owens, Ted DiBiase, Alundra Blayze & More WWE Legends At SNME

With a retro event like WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, it was expected that we’d have some legends in the house for the night.

Previously advertised were already Jesse “The Body” Ventura, who joined the commentary booth for the Intercontinental Championship match between Bron Breakker and Sheamus, as well as Shawn Michaels moderating the contract signing between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. That segment ended with “The Heartbreak Kid” nailing Owens with a little Sweet Chin Music to follow a superkick from The American Nightmare that saved HBK from a package piledriver Owens was about to execute.

But also in attendance were a few other surprises, first off with Alundra Blayze, who was sporting the old WWF Women’s Championship title belt (and you’ll notice she’s also sitting next to comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias)

“The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry was also in attendance to watch the action

A little later, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Dory Funk Jr., and Hacksaw Jim Duggan were shown fired up at ringside, too:

The Brainbusters Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard were shown following Jacob Fatu’s dismantling of Braun Strowman.

Hulk Hogan, who had previously been in the promotional material, does not seem to be making any appearance.

The announced attendance in San Antonio, TX for Saturday Night’s Main Event was 16,406.

Bonus News Snippet: Speaking of appearances, Fightful Select is reporting that Ilja Dragunov has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center this week. As of this writing, there’s no word on whether he’s training or simply being evaluated. Be sure to check back for more info on that whenever something more is clarified.

In a shocking turn of events at Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, also known as the Heartbreak Kid, delivered a series of devastating superkicks to some of the biggest names in wrestling history.

First up was Kevin Owens, who was caught off guard by HBK’s lightning-fast footwork and sent crashing to the mat. Next, the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase found himself on the receiving end of a picture-perfect superkick that left him seeing stars.

But HBK wasn’t done yet. He then turned his attention to Alundra Blayze, delivering a superkick that sent the WWE Hall of Famer reeling. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier, HBK unleashed his signature move on none other than WWE legend Mick Foley, leaving fans in disbelief.

The crowd at Saturday Night’s Main Event erupted in cheers as HBK stood tall in the ring, proving once again why he is considered one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time. Will anyone be able to stop the Heartbreak Kid’s reign of superkicks? Only time will tell.

  • Ted DiBiase Explains Why Million Dollar Title Was “A Real Pain In The A**” To Travel With

Ted DiBiase has shared his thoughts on the iconic Million Dollar title.

WWE Hall of Famer and ex-wrestler Ted DiBiase has opened up on his thoughts on the Million Dollar championship. Popular for his unique gimmick back in his time and the iconic championship belt, DiBiase claims it was a real “pain in the a**” to travel with.

Speaking on his podcast, Everybody’s Got a Pod, DiBiase discussed the challenges of traveling with the belt.

“It was a real pain in the ass. I mean — and again, they took a Halliburton briefcase and gutted it, put foam padding in it, and basically made it look like a ring box. And the belt fit right down — when it was folded, it fit right in that Halliburton briefcase. And I had to take that thing everywhere I went.

I remember one night, I think we were in Boston. And we went somewhere after the show and had a few drinks and everything. I don’t know what got into me about, ‘Oh my gosh, where’s the belt? Where’s the belt?’ You know, we went back to whoever I rode over there with when it wasn’t there. And you know, come to find out, I put it in the referee’s trunk.”

The veteran further explained the troubles he faced with customs when crossing borders.

I was always afraid I was gonna [lose it.] I had to carry that thing with me anytime we went across the border. And we’d go back and forth to Canada a little bit, but anywhere we went where I was going through customs, I had to show them something that [had] it’s estimated value. And that’s what it was, 40 grand.”

Ted DiBiase Shares Why The Million Dollar Title Was So Valuable

In the same podcast, DiBiase opened up further on why the championship is so valuable. While the belt had almost 700 fake diamonds embedded in it, it also had real diamonds.

“All the stones in the belt, they’re not all diamonds. Most of those stones in the face of the belt, they’re what you call cubic zirconium. When I heard that, I asked my wife, ‘What the hell is that?’ And she goes, ‘That means they’re almost a diamond but not quite.’ I don’t know how you can be almost and not — anyway. So each one of those stones, I guess, was worth about 50 bucks. There were 700 of them in the face of the belt.

And I think — I’ve already told this to a lot of people. But if you looked on the back of the belt, where nobody ever saw the back of the belt. But at the back of the belt at the top on the back was — there were three little [things] and I said, ‘What are those?’ They told me, they said, ‘Ted, those are real diamonds.’ ‘Why? Nobody’s gonna see them.’ ‘Well, if anybody ever asks you are the diamonds in the belt real, you could say yes and you won’t be lying.’”

Inactive from WWE for some time, DiBiase was last involved in an NXT storyline between Cameron Grimes and LA Knight. He also appeared backstage at Raw is XXX.

Wrestling legend Ted DiBiase recently sat down for an interview and revealed why his famous Million Dollar Championship title was more of a burden than a blessing during his time in the WWE.

According to DiBiase, the elaborate and heavy title belt, which was adorned with diamonds and gold, was not only a status symbol but also a real pain in the you-know-what to travel with. He explained that the sheer weight of the belt made it difficult to lug around from city to city, especially when flying or driving long distances.

“It was a beautiful title, don’t get me wrong, but it was a real pain in the ass to travel with,” DiBiase admitted. “I had to be careful not to lose it or damage it, and it was incredibly heavy to carry around all the time.”

Despite the challenges of traveling with the Million Dollar Championship, DiBiase fondly remembers his time as the “Million Dollar Man” and the impact the title had on his wrestling career. He even joked that he had to hire a personal assistant just to help him transport the title from one location to another.

In the end, DiBiase’s Million Dollar Championship may have been a headache to travel with, but it will always hold a special place in wrestling history as one of the most iconic and extravagant title belts of all time.

  • Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick says will work with regulators

Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick: Bullish on the M&A cycle in 2025

Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick said Thursday that his bank will be working with U.S. regulators to examine whether it can deepen its involvement in cryptocurrency markets.

Pick was asked about his views on digital currencies under the pro-crypto Trump administration. On Tuesday, the acting head of the Securities and Exchange Commission launched an effort to develop a regulatory framework for the nascent asset class.

“For us, the equation is really around whether we, as a highly regulated financial institution, can act as transactors,” Pick told CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“We’ll be working with Treasury and the other regulators to figure out how we can offer that in a safe way,” Pick said.

Morgan Stanley, a juggernaut in the wealth management industry, has been repeatedly ahead of its peers when it comes to crypto. It was the first major U.S. bank to offer bitcoin funds to its rich clients in 2021, and last year it took the lead on offering bitcoin exchange-traded funds. That’s because the firm’s financial advisors were getting questions from clients about bitcoin exposure, sources told CNBC at the time.

But under the Biden administration, banks were prohibited from getting deep into the asset class; their trading desks dabbled in bitcoin derivatives but couldn’t own the “physical” bitcoin. It’s a point that Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon reiterated this week.

“At the moment, from a regulatory perspective, we can’t own” bitcoin, Solomon told CNBC’s Sorkin. “If the world changes, we can have a discussion about it,” he said.

    ‘Escape velocity’

When it comes to bitcoin, the original cryptocurrency that traces its origin to the 2008 financial crisis, its staying power through volatile trading and industry scandals over the years may prove critical, according to Morgan Stanley’s Pick. One bitcoin now trades for more than $100,000.

“The broader question is whether some of this has come of age, whether it’s hit escape velocity,” Pick said. “You know, time is the friend [of crypto]; the longer it trades, perception becomes reality.”

Earlier this week, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan also signaled a willingness to embrace crypto if regulators allowed it, saying it would be another form of retail payments for customers of the second-biggest U.S. bank by assets.

“If the rules come in and make it a real thing that you can actually do business with, you’ll find that the banking system will come in hard,” Moynihan said. “We have hundreds of patents on blockchain already, we know how to enter the field.”

In a recent statement, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick announced that the company is committed to working closely with regulators to ensure compliance and transparency in the financial industry. Pick emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies to uphold the integrity of the markets and protect investor interests.

Pick stated, “At Morgan Stanley, we take our regulatory obligations very seriously. We will continue to collaborate with regulators to address any concerns and maintain the highest standards of conduct in our business practices.”

The CEO’s remarks come at a time when regulatory scrutiny in the financial sector is increasing, with a focus on issues such as market manipulation, insider trading, and cybersecurity. By proactively engaging with regulators, Morgan Stanley aims to demonstrate its commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.

As the financial industry continues to evolve, collaboration between firms and regulators will be crucial in ensuring a fair and transparent marketplace for all stakeholders. Morgan Stanley’s pledge to work closely with regulators reflects its dedication to remaining a trusted and responsible player in the financial services sector.

  • ‘Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed Teases Season 4 Filming

It would appear that another Ted Lasso fan favorite is returning for the Apple TV+ show’s long-gestating fourth season.

Nick Mohammed, who went on quite the character arc as AFC Richmond assistant coach Nate Shelley, teased fans of the show as he announced rescheduled dates of his Show Pony comedy tour “for some filming I have not been able to shift for love of money.”

“I cannot say what that filming is. But it will be announced shortly,” he said in part in the X video as his Show Pony character Mr. Swallow.

“In the meantime, I would really appreciate if people just didn’t speculate as to what they think it might be,” Mohammed continued, holding up the hand-painted “BELIEVE” sign from the show. “The last thing I want is for people to be going mad.”

After the third, and presumed final, season of Ted Lasso aired in early 2023, the series’ studio Warner Bros. Television previously picked up the options for three original cast members: Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift.

In addition to series stars and co-creators Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt, co-star Juno Temple was also in negotiations to return as of August.

In October, co-creator Bill Lawrence stopped short of confirming the fourth season to Deadline, leaving that up to Sudeikis, who plays the titular happy-go-lucky soccer coach.

“Jason Sudeikis, is the voice, heart, driving factor behind the show, not only professionally, but on a personal level, that’s the dude whose life gets upended and who would be making the biggest sacrifices,” explained Lawrence. “The only sure bet in Hollywood is that nobody involved with Ted Lasso will ever, ever speak about it until Jason makes his decision of who he wants to talk to and what he wants to tell.”

    Apple TV+

Sudeikis, who co-created Ted Lasso with Lawrence, Hunt and Joe Kelly, had originally conceived the comedy as a three-season story arc and he stuck with the plan despite the series’ enormous success. But he had not shut the door to more Ted Lasso — which is why Season 3 was not labeled as final — contingent on finding the right idea. Much to fans’ delight, more than a year after the Season 3 finale, it looks like that has happened.

Exciting news for all you Ted Lasso fans out there! Nick Mohammed, who plays the lovable Nathan Shelley on the hit show, recently teased some details about the upcoming filming of Season 4.

Mohammed also hinted at some exciting developments in store for his character Nathan in the upcoming season, promising that fans will get to see even more growth and depth from him as the series continues to unfold.

  • ‘Ted Lasso’ Actor Nick Mohammed Hints at Season 4 Filming

While “Ted Lasso” Season 4 hasn’t been officially confirmed, Nick Mohammed, who plays assistant coach Nate Shelley, is driving online chatter about the show’s return.

Mohammed posted a video on X Thursday explaining that some of his show dates for the “Show Pony” tour had to be rescheduled. “I know there’ll be a lot of speculation as to why I moved these dates … I’ll be honest, it is for some filming that I’ve not been able to shift.”

While Mohammed teased that listening to fan guesses is “the last thing I want,” he briefly held up a sign that read “BELIEVE” — an irrefutable reference to Season 3 of “Ted Lasso.” For his role, Mohammed was nominated for two Primetime Emmys for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

Back in August, Variety learned that “Ted Lasso” is heading towards a greenlight, with Warner Bros. Television picking up options on Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift. Jason Sudeikis is also believed to be involved as a possible executive producer, although the studio declined to comment or confirm.

Last January, Warner Bros. Television CEO Channing Dungey teased the possibility of a “Ted Lasso” return to Variety, explaining that, “I wouldn’t put the period on the end of that sentence just yet. There is still a lot of love for ‘Ted Lasso.’ And I think that there still is a lot of enthusiasm on the part of Apple for ‘Ted Lasso.’ Should the opportunity arise, we’d be excited to jump back into making more…. There are always conversations that are ongoing, just nothing that’s official.”

In a recent interview, Mohammed teased fans by saying, “We’re hopeful that we’ll be back soon to start filming season 4.” While he didn’t give any concrete details or confirmations, his words have certainly sparked excitement among the show’s dedicated fanbase.

  • Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence hints at Season 4, calls it a ‘self-reboot’

Good news for fans of the hilarious show Ted Lasso: the series might not be wrapping up as soon as we thought. Bill Lawrence, one of the brains behind the show, has been dropping hints that there could be another season in the works.

“It’s almost a self-reboot. I think that he [Sudeikis] always had in his head another story he wanted to tell.”

During an interview with The Los Angeles Times in January 2025, Lawrence talked about the show’s original plan to wrap up in three seasons. But, they’re now considering keeping the story going.

About Ted going back to Kansas at the end of the show, Lawrence said:

“Jason [Sudeikis] always envisioned the story as having a beginning, middle, and end.”

But Lawrence let slip that Sudeikis has got “another story” up his sleeve, something that could explore a “different” angle while keeping the core of what makes Ted Lasso so special. With whispers of the main cast signing up for more fun and talk of cameras rolling as early as January 2025, Season 4 looks real.

Channing Dungey, from Warner Bros. TV, is pumped about all the chatter, pointing out that the folks cooking up the show are looking into it. Fans are also trying to guess what might happen next. Some think we’ll catch up with Ted back in Kansas, while others reckon we’ll see AFC Richmond with a fresh face in charge.

    Note: Opinions expressed are subjective.

What could Ted Lasso Season 4 look like?

If we get lucky with a fourth season of Ted Lasso, the storyline is likely to take a big turn from what we’ve seen before. In Season 3, we had some big moments of closure: Ted going back to Kansas to be with his kid, Roy stepping up to be the head coach of AFC Richmond, and Nate making things right and coming back to the team.

Ted Lasso’s writer, Lawrence, hinted that they’re cooking up “a different story,” which probably means we’re going to see these characters in a new light.

Over on Reddit, in the r/TedLasso community, people are throwing around ideas about what Season 4 could be like. One fan, HeavyAd6173, had a thought: a spin-off show about the football club, with Roy, Nate, and Beard leading the charge for another championship.

One of the show’s fans, lpjunior999, had a cool idea about Ted starting over in the U.S. while the team from Richmond tries to cope without him. Some other fans suggested a fun crossover where Roy gets to see what Kansas is all about. It’s great to see everyone throwing out ideas for how the show can keep moving forward while staying true to where it came from.

And good news came out of all this speculation! Warner Bros. is optimistic about the show’s future because they signed on the dotted line with the main cast like Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca, Brett Goldstein, our lovable Roy, and Jeremy Swift, the hilarious Higgins. So, we can expect more of their talent.

Dungey dropped some hints that got everyone buzzing:

“These conversations are exciting, but it’s still early days.”

Could a Ted Lasso Season 4 ‘self-reboot’ work?

Bringing back a show that’s as beloved as Ted Lasso has its challenges, but Bill Lawrence’s way of handling it gives us a good reason to be optimistic. Instead of just picking up where we left off, he’s looking to give the story a fresh twist, so it doesn’t get boring by being the same old thing.

It’s like when you’re playing a game, and you start a new level to keep things interesting. And Bill’s been around the block with this kind of thing before. He worked on Scrubs, and even though some people thought it changed too much near the end, that experience might help him avoid those pitfalls here.

So, a fan on Reddit, G0rkon, pointed out that:

“Scrubs branding was forced on Bill for Season 9. He wanted a new show separate from Scrubs.”

The situation here seems to indicate that Lawrence is keen on keeping Ted Lasso‘s creative heart intact.

Another thing that makes this reboot look like it might do well is the show’s fantastic bunch of actors. With Ted not being around as much, it opens up the chance for other folks like Roy, Rebecca, and Nate to get more screen time and have their stories go deeper. This lets the story grow naturally. Plus, the idea that Ted might pop in now and then keeps things connected to the original.

As someone named UmairWaseem276 pointed out,

“If Ted’s not the main character, why not call it a spinoff?”

If they market it as just a straight-up continuation of Ted Lasso, it could get even more people interested and watching.

Fans have a lot to say about a possible Ted Lasso Season 4

Some Ted Lasso fans think it’s best to keep the good things from the show just as they are so it’s remembered fondly. But others can’t wait to see fresh stories come to life.

Take what Downtown_Antelope711 imagined – it’s funny to think about Roy trying Kansas BBQ for the first time.

And then there’s this other fan, senorbiloba, who’s hoping for:

“More focus on team and staff dynamics.”

If there’s going to be a Season 4 of Ted Lasso, it’s going to need to strike that perfect mix of giving us the old we love and the new we haven’t seen before. It’s a bit of a tightrope walk, but with Jason Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence working together, we’ve got high hopes.
