The former quarterback turned broadcaster has become known for his playful antics on the sidelines during the post-game trophy presentation, but this year’s stunt may just be his last.

And if that’s the case, his Lombardi Trophy move could go down in history as his final moment of fun and frivolity on the biggest stage in football.

Fans and fellow broadcasters alike have come to love Bradshaw’s infectious energy and good-natured humor, and his Lombardi Trophy move has become a beloved tradition in its own right. Whether he’s twirling the trophy like a baton or pretending to drop it, Bradshaw never fails to bring a smile to viewers’ faces.

  • Federal investigators eyeing Terry Rozier’s play in 2023 game

MIAMI — Unusual betting patterns surrounding the play of then-Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier in a game nearly two years ago are now under investigation by federal prosecutors, part of the same probe that led to the lifetime ban of Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter, the NBA confirmed Thursday.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the investigation, noting that Rozier, who played for the Hornets at that time and now plays for the Miami Heat, has neither been charged with a crime nor has he been accused of wrongdoing.

The NBA said it looked into the matter at the time and did not find that any league rules were broken.

“In March 2023, the NBA was alerted to unusual betting activity related to Terry Rozier’s performance in a game between Charlotte and New Orleans,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement, first released to The Wall Street Journal and then to other outlets. “The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules. We are now aware of an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York related to this matter and have been cooperating with that investigation.”

The U.S. Attorney’s office did not immediately comment. The Heat referred to the NBA statement when asked for comment.

“We are aware of the NBA’s 2023 investigation which determined there was absolutely no wrongdoing by Mr. Rozier and we are confident that the on-going government investigation will arrive at the exact same conclusion,” Rozier’s attorney Jim Trusty said.

The game involving Rozier that is in question was played March 23, 2023, a matchup between the Hornets and the New Orleans Pelicans. Rozier played the first 9 minutes, 36 seconds of that game — and not only did not return that night, citing a foot issue, but did not play again that season.

Charlotte had eight games remaining and was not in playoff contention, so it did not seem particularly unusual that Rozier was shut down for the season’s final games.

In that March 23 game, Rozier finished with five points, four rebounds and two assists in that opening period — a productive quarter, but well below his usual total output for a full game.

Posts still online from March 23, 2023, show some bettors were furious with sportsbooks that evening when it became evident that Rozier was not going to return to the game after the first quarter, with many turning to social media to say that something “shady” had gone on regarding the prop bets involving his stats for that night.

One frustrated bettor posted an image of a ticket for a three-leg parlay where a $65 wager would have returned $401.95. The bettor played over 6.5 goals in the Tampa Bay-Ottawa NHL game and over 8.5 rebounds for Julius Randle, both of which hit. But the ticket didn’t cash because Rozier finished well below his prop bet of 32.5 combined points, assists and rebounds. The bettor picked Rozier to exceed those numbers.

Some sportsbooks offered Rozier prop bets — his totals for that night were generally set around 21.5 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds — on March 23, then took them down hours before the start of the Charlotte-New Orleans game. It was not clear why that happened, and some bettors wondered aloud why that unusual move had taken place. Rozier was not listed on the team’s injury report going into the game.

The 30-year-old Rozier is in the third year of a four-year, $96.3 million contract.

Porter’s ban came after a similar investigation into his performance and “prop bets” — wagers where bettors can choose whether a player will reach a certain statistical standard or not during a game. Last April, the NBA banned Porter for life after a league probe found he disclosed confidential information to sports bettors and wagered on games, even betting on his team to lose.

The Porter investigation started once the league learned from “licensed sports betting operators and an organization that monitors legal betting markets” about unusual gambling patterns surrounding Porter’s performance in a game on March 20, 2024, against Sacramento. The league determined that Porter gave a bettor information about his own health status prior that game and said that another individual — known to be an NBA bettor — placed an $80,000 bet that Porter would not hit the numbers set for him in parlays through an online sports book. That bet would have won $1.1 million.

The specifics of the bets that triggered the probe into the Hornets-Pelicans game are unknown.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

In a shocking turn of events, federal investigators are reportedly looking into Terry Rozier’s performance in a game that took place in 2023. The Charlotte Hornets guard has been under scrutiny for his play during this particular game, with allegations of potential foul play and match-fixing being raised.

Fans and analysts alike are stunned by these accusations, as Rozier has been a key player for the Hornets and has shown great skill and sportsmanship throughout his career. However, with investigators now involved, it remains to be seen what the outcome of their inquiry will be.

As more details emerge, the basketball world is watching closely to see how this situation unfolds and what implications it may have for Rozier and the Hornets. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Terry Rozier gambling investigation: Feds probing NBA veteran over 2023 game, link to Jontay Porter ring

Miami Heat point guard Terry Rozier is under federal investigation as part of a wider government probe into a sports gambling ring, according to The Wall Street Journal. The investigation is centered around a game between the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans on March 23, 2023 that included unusual betting activity surrounding prop bets against Rozier’s statistics. Authorities believe some of the people involved in the Jontay Porter betting scandal may have had inside information that compelled them to bet against Rozier.

In that game nearly two years ago, Rozier played only nine minutes and 34 seconds. He finished with five points, four rebounds and two assists. He was not listed on the injury report before the game, but he did not play again for the Hornets during the 2022-23 season afterward. When he left the game, the Hornets called him doubtful to return with right foot discomfort. He was listed with that injury for the remainder of the season.

Rozier has not been charged with a crime or accused of wrongdoing. The NBA was made aware of the situation at the time, but found no violations.

“In March 2023, the NBA was alerted to unusual betting activity related to Terry Rozier’s performance in a game between Charlotte and New Orleans,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said. “The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules. We are now aware of an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York related to this matter and have been cooperating with that investigation.”

Rozier, who was traded to the Heat last January and has played 41 games for Miami this season, has thus far declined to comment.

U.S. Integrity, a private organization that monitors the betting world for improprieties, noticed unusual betting patterns before the game and informed sports books and the NBA. Some sports books chose to take Rozier’s props down afterward. At least one bettor claimed publicly to have had inside information which led to him betting on Rozier to finish with fewer than 6.5 assists in the game.

Porter was banned from the NBA for life last year for his involvement in a gambling scandal, and he has since plead guilty to wire fraud conspiracy. Though both he and Rozier played in the NBA, their circumstances are quite different. Porter was a two-way player without a long-term contract. Rozier is in the middle of a $96 million contract. Sportsbooks have stopped offering prop bets on low-minute players like Porter in the wake of his scandal, but Rozier is a longtime NBA starter, so that change would not apply to him.

In addition to Rozier, the government investigation is reportedly also exploring this gambling ring’s activities related to college basketball and potential point-shaving. Six total men have been charged in the Porter scandal, with four, including Porter, already pleading guilty.

The recent news of NBA veteran Terry Rozier being investigated by federal authorities over a game in 2023 has sent shockwaves through the basketball world. The investigation is said to be related to possible gambling activities surrounding the game, raising questions about the integrity of the league.

Rozier, who currently plays for the Charlotte Hornets, has been a key player in the NBA for several years. However, this investigation puts his career and reputation at risk, as the league takes a firm stance against any form of gambling that could compromise the fairness of the game.

In addition to Rozier’s case, the investigation has also been linked to former NBA player Jontay Porter, who is suspected of being involved in a gambling ring that may have influenced the outcome of games. This connection adds another layer of intrigue to the investigation and raises concerns about the extent of corruption within the league.

As the investigation unfolds, fans and players alike are left wondering about the implications for the future of the NBA and the measures that will be taken to ensure the integrity of the game. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Terry Rozier under federal investigation over suspicious gambling activity

Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier is being investigated by federal authorities after he checked out of a game early in 2023 following a big rush of money on “under” prop bets against the New Orleans Pelicans when he was with the Charlotte Hornets.

The Wall Street Journal broke the story that the feds are looking into Rozier as part of a sprawling probe that led to an indictment of Jontay Porter last year. Porter was an end-of-the-bench player just trying to stay in the league, and he received a lifetime ban from the NBA for allegedly working with gamblers to manipulate his gambling odds. Porter pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and is awaiting sentencing.

The Wall Street Journal points to a March 2023 game when Rozier was a member of the Hornets that immediately raised red flags. Rozier had been one of the Hornets top performers during a hot stretch coming into the game, but subbed out with a foot injury after only nine minutes. The Journal reports that there was a flood of money coming in on the “under” totals for Rozier’s props earlier in the day, which led to some sportsbooks refusing to accept bets on him.

Rozier was traded from the Hornets to the Heat in Jan. of 2024. Rozier has made more than $110 million playing basketball in the NBA.

This the latest investigation into suspicious gambling action — and Rozier is the most high-profile athlete named so far. The feds also investigated Temple men’s basketball after the line for a game against Tulane moved dramatically for no real reason last year.

    The NBA issued this response:

We’ll update this story as it develops.

NBA player Terry Rozier is under federal investigation over suspicious gambling activity. The Charlotte Hornets guard has reportedly been involved in high-stakes betting on games, raising concerns about potential match-fixing.

The investigation is still ongoing, but sources close to the case say that Rozier’s gambling habits have raised red flags with federal authorities. The NBA has also launched its own investigation into the matter and has not ruled out the possibility of taking disciplinary action against Rozier.

This news comes as a shock to many fans and fellow players, as Rozier has always been seen as a dedicated and hardworking athlete. However, if these allegations are proven to be true, it could have serious consequences for his career and reputation.

  • Terry Rozier’s play in March 2023 game with Charlotte being probed by federal investigators

MIAMI (AP) — Unusual betting patterns surrounding the play of then-Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier in a game nearly two years ago are now under investigation by federal prosecutors, part of the same probe that led to the lifetime ban of Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter, the NBA confirmed Thursday.

  • Heat Guard Terry Rozier Flagged in Illegal Sports Betting Scheme

Federal prosecutors have reportedly flagged Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier while investigating an illegal sports betting scheme.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday a gambling ring bet heavily against Rozier in a 2023 game for the Hornets.

Associated Press reporter Tim Reynolds subsequently tweeted Rozier has not been accused of wrongdoing. Neither Rozier nor the Heat had commented as of publication.

The game in question was a 115-96 Hornets loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on March 23, 2023. Rozier totaled five points, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 10 minutes.

An AP summary that night said Rozier left with a sore right foot.

Charlotte traded Rozier to the Heat in January 2024. He averages 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 41 games (21) starts.

The WSJ report said the inquiry is “part of a wider government investigation” that already caught former Raptors big man Jontay Porter. The NBA banned Porter for life in 2024 after he allegedly placed 13 bets on NBA games using another person’s account and leaked information about his health to a sports bettor.

Porter pled guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

  • NBA star Terry Rozier under investigation over claims he took part in illegal gambling scheme

Federal prosecutors are looking into claims that veteran NBA guard Terry Rozier manipulated his performances as part of an illegal gambling scheme.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the inquiry just one part of a larger investigation into alleged match fixing in professional sports. The same probe has already resulted in a guilty plea and lifetime NBA ban for former Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter.

The 30-year-old Rozier has not been charged and it remains unclear if investigators have concluded that he helped gamblers in any way.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place on March 23, 2023, when Rozier was a member of the Charlotte Hornets. The former Louisville star currently plays for the Miami Heat, who declined comment when contacted by DailyMail.com and instead referred to a statement from the NBA.

‘In March 2023, the NBA was alerted to unusual betting activity related to Terry Rozier’s performance in a game between Charlotte and New Orleans,’ NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in the league statement. ‘The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules. We are now aware of an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York related to this matter and have been cooperating with that investigation.’

Rozier’s agent and spokespeople for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Federal prosecutors are looking into claims that veteran NBA guard Terry Rozier manipulated his performances as part of an illegal gambling scheme. He currently plays for the Miami Heat

Earlier this month, federal investigators said  Porter was texting with his alleged co-conspirators during games to hash out details of the gambling scheme that resulted in his lifetime suspension from the league.

Porter pleaded guilty in July to allegations he plotted with gamblers to impact betting outcomes in their favor: ‘I know what I did was wrong, unlawful, and I am deeply sorry.’

Echoing findings in an NBA investigation and allegations in an ongoing prosecution of other individuals, Porter acknowledged he agreed to withdraw early from games so that co-conspirators could win bets on his performance. He did it, he said, ‘to get out from under large gambling debts.’

Porter was scheduled to be sentenced in December, but that has now been pushed back to 2025. He had requested permission to travel abroad and play in Greece, but was denied by a federal judge in July.

Following the arrest of alleged co-conspirator Shane Hennen at the Las Vegas airport earlier this month, federal investigators claim to have in-game text messages between Porter and his alleged accomplices, according to The Athletic.

In a purported exchange from January 22, 2024, Porter tells his alleged co-conspirators: ‘I went back to the locker room to get eye checked on… [I don’t know] if imma play much more… I’m not starting second half.’

Porter then added: ‘But if it’s garbage time I will shoot a million shots.’

On January 26, he told a pair of accomplices he would remove himself from the game with an injury – information investigators say was shared with Hennen.

Federal investigators say NBA exile Jontay Porter was texting with his alleged co-conspirators during games to hash out details of the gambling scheme that resulted in his lifetime ban

Porter allegedly texted Hennen directly on another occasion to go over a plan.

‘Hit unders for the big numbers,’ read the message, published by The Athletic. ‘I told [Co-Conspirator 2] no blocks no steals. I’m going to play first 2-3 minute stint off the bench then when I get subbed out tell them my eye killing me again.’

Hennen allegedly bet $3,700 through a proxy that Porter would fail to get at least five rebounds for the game.

Later, on March 20, Hennen had information that Porter would pull himself from the game again.

Hennen reportedly bet $2,400 on that occasion that Porter would fail to reach an over/under on points.

Porter would play just three minutes in that game, failing to score at all.

NBA star Terry Rozier is currently under investigation over claims that he took part in an illegal gambling scheme. The Boston Celtics point guard has been accused of participating in high-stakes gambling activities that may have violated league rules and regulations.

The allegations against Rozier have sparked a major controversy in the basketball world, with many fans and analysts questioning the integrity of the game. The NBA has launched a thorough investigation into the matter, and Rozier could potentially face severe consequences if found guilty of any wrongdoing.

Although Rozier has not made any public statements regarding the allegations, his reputation and career are now at stake. As the investigation unfolds, the basketball community eagerly awaits the final verdict on this troubling situation. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Brandi Glanville Has Biopsy by Dr. Terry Dubrow for Facial Disfigurement

Brandi Glanville is turning to plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow to find answers about her facial disfigurement.

On Jan. 30, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumna posted on X, saying the Botched star took four biopsies in hopes of discovering the cause of her health woes, which she believes are caused by “parasites.”

“Yes guys @DrDubrow took 4 tiny biopsy’s from my face and neck so we can continue to get better ez pz no pain I was in and out on 30 minutes now we wait,” Glanville wrote.

In December, Dubrow told TMZ that he believes Glanville’s facial issues are not a parasite or from something she ate, but “an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she’s had injected.”

He suggested that Glanville could be dealing with a type of bacterial infection. “There are these two kinds of microorganisms, one’s called a Microbacterium and the other is called a fungus, and they can be very difficult to treat and could take six to 12 months of antibiotics to treat,” he continued.

Dubrow called Glanville’s facial issues a “ticking time bomb” that requires “surgical intervention” soon.

“Every minute the microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage she could suffer worse for it. It could be more difficult to treat and she could form more scars and more nodules,” he concluded.

Glanville responded that she has “zero drama” with the plastic surgeon and expressed her appreciation for any help she can get. “We have been in touch and plan to talk thank you for all the love,” she wrote on X.

“All fillers that were in my face have been dissolved. I have seen all the best doctors at Cedar Sinai and all the doctors they referred me to,” Glanville added.

At the time, Glanville revealed that she spent “over $70,000” trying to find a resolution to the unknown “parasite” that’s caused her facial disfigurement over the past year. However, every treatment she’s tried has only been a temporary fix.

“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” the reality star. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
