  • Thomas Rhett’s Parenting Advice to Teddy Swims Revealed

“I don’t know how nervous I’m going to be yet, I guess until we get to that moment,” the singer admitted. “Hopefully there’s no mess-ups. I just try to stay out of my own way and stay out of my head about it.”

No matter what happens on Grammy night, Teddy has another exciting milestone on the horizon: the arrival of his first baby with pregnant girlfriend Raiche Wright, due in June. And the father-to-be has already gotten parenting tips from his “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Woman” collaborator Thomas Rhett, who shares four daughters with wife Lauren Akins.

“[Thomas] said, ‘Look, there are times where these kids, they know when you’re not fully, fully, 100% present and focused on them,’” Teddy recalled. “He said, ‘You just got to make sure, no matter what, put your phone down. Just be fully present with them, because you won’t get those moments again.’”

Thomas Rhett, country music superstar and father of three, recently shared some parenting advice with rising singer Teddy Swims. In an exclusive interview, Rhett opened up about the joys and challenges of fatherhood, and offered some words of wisdom to his friend and fellow musician.

One piece of advice that Rhett shared with Teddy Swims was the importance of being present and engaged with your children. He emphasized the value of quality time spent with kids, and how even small moments can make a big impact on their lives.

Rhett also stressed the importance of setting boundaries and being consistent with discipline. He explained that children thrive on structure and routine, and that clear expectations can help them feel safe and secure.

Another key piece of advice that Rhett offered was to prioritize self-care as a parent. He emphasized the importance of taking care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally in order to be the best parent you can be.

Overall, Thomas Rhett’s parenting advice to Teddy Swims highlighted the importance of love, patience, and communication in raising happy and healthy children. It’s clear that Rhett’s experience as a father has given him valuable insights that he is more than willing to share with others.

    Who’s Playing

    N. Dak. State Bison @ St. Thomas Tommies

Current Records: N. Dak. State 16-6, St. Thomas 17-6

    How To Watch

    What to Know

    N. Dak. State and St. Thomas are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. Both will face off in a Summit battle at 4:00 p.m. ET on Sunday at Schoenecker Arena. Coming off a loss in a game the Bison were expected to win, they now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

    N. Dak. State is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering S. Dak. State just ended the team’s five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 72-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackrabbits.

    N. Dak. State struggled to work together and finished the game with only eight assists. That’s the fewest assists they’ve posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas didn’t have too much trouble with Oral Roberts on Wednesday as they won 86-71. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tommies.

    N. Dak. State’s defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for St. Thomas, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Keep an eye on the arc in Sunday’s contest: N. Dak. State has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 12 threes per game. However, it’s not like St. Thomas struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 10.7. Given these competing strengths, it’ll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

While only St. Thomas took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. Looking forward, St. Thomas is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 1.5 points. This contest will be their eighth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 4-3 against the spread).

    Odds

St. Thomas is a slight 1.5-point favorite against N. Dak. State, according to the latest college basketball odds.

The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as a 1.5-point spread, and stayed right there.

    The over/under is 155.5 points.

  • Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff defends Isaiah Stewart’s ejection after he drilled Thomas Bryant in loss to Pacers

Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart was ejected on Wednesday night after he took out Indiana Pacers big man Thomas Bryant with a hard forearm randomly in the first half.

Midway through the second quarter of the 133-119 loss in Indianapolis, Stewart looked like he was going to try and box Bryant out after a shot when he suddenly hit him hard out of nowhere in the chest and neck area. The shot sent the 6-foot-10 center crashing back down to the court as others worked to get the rebound.

Almost immediately, officials threw Stewart out of the game and he took off for the locker room. Bryant got up and briefly tried to go after Stewart, but he was held back before he could really get anywhere.

“I have to be better at not letting those words allow me to affect the team. I know my squad could have used me out there tonight.”

It’s unclear what kind of talk Stewart was referring to or what was said specifically. If anything was said, though, it had to have been earlier in the game. Stewart and Bryant weren’t close enough to be jawing right before Stewart drilled him.

Regardless, the apparent commentary was enough for Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff to forcefully defend Stewart’s actions.

“There’s things that happen on the basketball court that you have to deal with. Then there are certain things that are said to you that are no longer about basketball,” Bickerstaff said. “When it crosses that line like it did tonight, you should be able to stand up for yourself. … There was things said tonight that absolutely crossed the line, past basketball to man-on-man stuff. And if someone says something like that to you that crosses the line, you should have every single right to do what you need to do to defend yourself.”

The Pacers led nearly the entire way on Wednesday night while grabbing the 14-point win. Pascal Siakam led the way with 37 points and six rebounds, and Tyrese Haliburton finished with 30 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. The Pacers have now won 10 of their last 12 and sit at 26-20 on the season.

Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 32 points and nine assists, and Tobias Harris finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Stewart had a point and an assist in eight minutes when he was ejected. The 23-year-old is averaging 5.5 points and six rebounds per game this season, his fifth with the Pistons.

While a clear shot like the one Stewart took will get a player ejected every time, it’s not often that you see a head coach defending those actions. But he’s not backing down, whether it’s with Stewart or bigger picture.

“It is absolutely my responsibility to defend our guys when we feel like things aren’t balanced, and I will never, never stop doing that,” Bickerstaff said. “Again, our guys will earn the respect of this league, but it’s my responsibility to defend them. Whatever is happening out on the floor, whether it’s opponents, whether it’s referees, it doesn’t matter to me. My job is that, and I will always do that.”

Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff defends Isaiah Stewart’s ejection after he drilled Thomas Bryant in loss to Pacers

Detroit Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff is standing by rookie center Isaiah Stewart after he was ejected for a hard foul on Indiana Pacers forward Thomas Bryant during a recent game.

Stewart, known for his physical style of play, caught Bryant with a forearm to the face as he drove to the basket. The referees immediately called a flagrant foul 2, resulting in Stewart being ejected from the game.

Despite the ejection, Bickerstaff believes Stewart’s intentions were not malicious and that he was simply trying to make a play on defense.

“Isaiah is a young player who plays with a lot of energy and intensity. He was just trying to make a play on the ball and unfortunately things got a bit out of hand,” Bickerstaff said in a post-game press conference.

Bickerstaff went on to say that he supports Stewart and his aggressive style of play, but understands the need for him to be more cautious in situations like this.

“We don’t want to see anyone get hurt on the court, so it’s important for Isaiah to be mindful of his actions and make sure he’s playing within the rules of the game,” Bickerstaff added.

Stewart has since apologized for the incident and expressed regret for his actions. The Pistons ultimately fell to the Pacers in a close game, but Stewart’s ejection remains a topic of discussion in the basketball world.

As the Pistons move forward, Bickerstaff will continue to work with Stewart on improving his technique and decision-making on the court to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

  • Otto Addo visits Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku amid rumors of dressing room breakdown in Black Stars

Otto Addo meets Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku Otto Addo meets Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku

Black Stars coach Otto Addo has visited Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku, strengthening his connection with key players ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March.

His visits come amid speculation about unrest in the Black Stars camp, though no concrete issues have been confirmed.

Addo, who will lead the new Black Stars technical team, is focused on reviving the team after a disappointing 2024, which saw Ghana fail to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Determined to get the squad back on track, the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach has intensified his efforts, engaging with key players, including Djiku and Partey.

The two players were previously rumored to have been involved in a dressing room dispute, which allegedly led to their absence from Ghana’s last two AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger. However, Addo’s recent visits suggest a move toward strengthening team unity.

He met Djiku in Turkey, sharing a moment with the defender before heading to England to meet deputy captain Partey. During his visit, Addo also had discussions with Partey’s manager at Arsenal, Mikel Arteta.

Recently, rumors have been swirling about a possible breakdown in the Black Stars dressing room. To address these concerns, Ghana’s assistant coach, Otto Addo, paid visits to key players Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku.

Addo’s visits were seen as a way to check in on the players and ensure that team morale remains high ahead of upcoming matches. Both Partey and Djiku are important members of the national team, and their form and attitude will be crucial to Ghana’s success in future competitions.

While the exact nature of the rumored dressing room issues remains unclear, Addo’s proactive approach to addressing the situation is a positive sign that the coaching staff is taking steps to maintain unity within the team.

Fans will be hoping that these visits will help to quash any tensions and that the Black Stars can focus on their upcoming matches with unity and determination.

  • Thomas Massie and Mike Lee advocate for US to dump NATO

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Sen. Mike Lee are advocating for the U.S. to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organiation (NATO).

“If you could snap your fingers and get us out of NATO today, would you?” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, asked in a post on X.

    “Yes,” Massie replied.

The House lawmaker has previously called the alliance — which includes the U.S. and scads of other nations — a “Cold War relic.”

“I would withdraw us from NATO,” Massie said, the Washington Post reported in 2022. “It’s a Cold War relic. Our involvement should have ceased when the [Berlin] wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed.”

Lee has been critical of the NATO alliance, describing it as a “great deal for Europe,” but a “raw deal for America.”

The senator has called for the U.S. to consider departing NATO, and has in some cases explicitly endorsed the prospect of a U.S. withdrawal.

“NATO members must pay up now,” Lee asserted in a tweet. “If they don’t—and maybe even if they do—the U.S. should seriously consider leaving NATO,” he continued. “We won the Cold War,” the senator noted. “A long time ago, in fact.”

“Amen!” Lee exclaimed in a tweet when responding to someone who had declared, “Let’s leave NATO.”

“Let’s go!” the lawmaker wrote in response to two separate posts suggesting that President Donald Trump should withdraw the U.S. from NATO.

MIKE LEE CONTINUES CALLING FOR ABOLITION OF TSA

Part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024, which was signed by President Joe Biden in late 2023, placed into U.S. law language that declares, “The President shall not suspend, terminate, denounce, or withdraw the United States from the North Atlantic Treaty, done at Washington, DC, April 4, 1949, except by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, provided that two-thirds of the Senators present concur, or pursuant to an Act of Congress.”

In a recent controversial move, Representatives Thomas Massie and Mike Lee have come out in favor of the United States withdrawing from NATO. The lawmakers argue that the alliance is outdated and no longer serves the interests of the American people.

Massie and Lee have long been critical of NATO, questioning the need for the US to be involved in costly overseas military operations. They argue that the US should focus on its own security and not be tied down by commitments to other countries.

The lawmakers’ stance has sparked debate among their colleagues in Congress, with many voicing concerns about the implications of withdrawing from NATO. Critics argue that the alliance has been a key factor in maintaining peace and stability in Europe for decades.

Despite the controversy, Massie and Lee remain steadfast in their belief that the US should cut ties with NATO. They have called for a national conversation on the issue and are pushing for a formal vote in Congress on the matter.

As the debate continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether Massie and Lee’s advocacy for the US to dump NATO will gain traction or be met with opposition. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • UNLV basketball, Dedan Thomas Jr. face Utah State in rematch | UNLV Basketball | Sports

    UNLV game day

    Who: Rebels at Utah State

    When: 7 p.m. Wednesday

Where: Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, Logan, Utah

    TV: FS1

Radio: KWWN (1100 AM, 100.9 FM)

Line: Utah State -10½; total 145

About the Rebels (11-9, 5-4 Mountain West): After back-to-back losses last week, UNLV faces a tough rematch in Logan.

The Rebels’ most recent outing was a 75-73 loss to conference leader New Mexico on Saturday, which was preceded by a 63-61 defeat at the hands of one of the league’s worst teams in Wyoming.

That came after the Rebels had a breakout week by stacking a pair of upsets against Utah State (65-62), which was then ranked No. 22 in the country, and at San Diego State (76-68).

Star point guard Dedan Thomas Jr. missed potentially clutch shots in both of UNLV’s recent losses. A jumper would’ve tied the Cowboys at the buzzer, and a free throw could’ve made the same difference against New Mexico.

Thomas is leading the team with 16.0 points and 4.6 assists per game. Fourth-year coach Kevin Kruger and his players have emphasized that they’re still confident in giving Thomas the ball, no matter what.

“Our trust as a team for him is just up there,” forward Jalen Hill said as he gestured toward the ceiling at Tuesday’s practice. “Seeing how much he grows every day, he’s going to use (the misses to) just make him better.”

About the Aggies (18-2, 8-1): Led by first-year coach Jerrod Calhoun, Utah State sits in second place in the conference.

Guard Ian Martinez is fifth in the Mountain West at 17.0 points per game, and guard Mason Falslev averages 15.4.

The Aggies’ only loss in conference play this season came against the Rebels, and Kruger is expecting a challenge in light of their last meeting. He said the Aggies’ in-game adjustments against UNLV prevented them from ever getting “beat twice” by the same play, and they’ll likely counter even more effectively in their overall game plan.

Kruger also praised the Aggies’ home advantage, calling Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum one of the best gyms in college basketball.

“With the sunken floor and the fans right on top of you, I think it’s an awesome environment,” Kruger said. “So I just expect everything they did here with kind of another gear to it. The crowd really gets them going.”

In a highly anticipated rematch, UNLV basketball will face off against Utah State once again, this time with Dedan Thomas Jr. leading the charge. The last meeting between these two teams came down to the wire, with Utah State narrowly edging out UNLV in a close game.

Dedan Thomas Jr., a standout player for the UNLV Rebels, will be looking to make a statement in this rematch and lead his team to victory. Known for his scoring ability and leadership on the court, Thomas Jr. will be a key player to watch in this game.

Both teams are coming off strong performances in their recent games, setting the stage for an exciting showdown. UNLV will be looking to avenge their previous loss to Utah State and prove that they are a force to be reckoned with in the conference.

Fans can expect a high-energy and competitive game as UNLV basketball takes on Utah State in this much-anticipated rematch. Stay tuned for what is sure to be a thrilling matchup between these two talented teams.
