The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Jazz in Utah on Saturday night. As the team faced the music in their first matchup of a new four-game Western road trip, the Sixers saw one of their own reach another personal career milestone.
Paul George rose for a three in the third quarter, and as it hit the bottom of the net, becoming the 2,291 of his career, George had made history as he overtook the ninth spot on the NBA’s all-time list of three-pointers made.

George tied Vince Carter, 2290, earlier in the night for the tenth most made threes in NBA history. With this shot, George would take sole possession of that spot, beginning the hunt for the eighth spot in NBA history, where former Sixer Kyle Korver currently sits with 2450.
George is still finding his footing in Philadelphia this season, at least offensively. He’s overcome a rash of early-season injuries, both to himself and his teammates, and has been a star defensively, but the offense, including his shooting, remains a work in progress.
Between the Sixers’ game in Charlotte, when he passed Jason Terry to become 10th on the all-time list, George had only made one three per game, which led to the crawl between accomplishments that was only eight made threes in distance.
The Philadelphia 76ers’ star forward Paul George made history last night as he climbed to the 9th spot on the all-time list of made three-pointers in NBA history. With his sharpshooting skills and deadly accuracy from beyond the arc, George has cemented himself as one of the greatest shooters in the league.
Surpassing legends like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, George’s milestone is a testament to his hard work and dedication to improving his game. His ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots from long range has been a game-changer for the Sixers, and has helped propel them to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
Fans and analysts alike are in awe of George’s shooting prowess, and are excited to see him continue to climb the ranks of the all-time three-point leaders. With his sights set on breaking into the top 5, there’s no telling how high George can rise in the record books.
Congratulations to Paul George on this incredible achievement, and here’s to many more threes to come! #TrustTheProcess #PaulGeorge #Sixers #NBAHistory
