  • Bianca Belair On WWE Women’s IC And US Titles: We Want These Opportunities Because We Can Sell Tickets

Bianca Belair comments on WWE introducing new secondary championships for its women’s division.

Bianca Belair recently appeared on the Battleground Podcast. During her appearance, she was asked about the introduction of the WWE Women’s United States Championship on WWE Friday Night SmackDown and the equivalent WWE Intercontinental Championship for WWE Monday Night Raw.

Seth Rollins Speaks On Becky Lynch’s Upcoming Role In ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Speaking to Battle, Bianca Belair praised the depth of the women’s roster in WWE and the positive impact the introduction of the championships has had on the morale of the locker room as new opportunities and avenues for television time have opened up to the women of WWE.

“I see it affecting the women’s division in such a positive way,” she began. “Right now, our roster is the best it’s ever been. It’s the most stacked it’s ever been. People say, ‘What do women need to do to get more opportunities?’ We don’t need to do anything, we just need more opportunities because every time we step in, we step up and we show out when we get those opportunities. So adding these two new titles, it gives so much more room and opportunity for women to showcase themselves, and that’s all we want to do.

“We don’t want these opportunities just because we’re women,” she continued. “We don’t want these spots just because we’re women. We want them because we can sell tickets, we want them because we can put the numbers, and we want them because we can put on these five-star matches, and this is what these women are doing. It’s really giving opportunities too for women who may be new to the scene, and they’re trying to get themselves out there.”

Bianca Belair also hinted at maybe wanting to add those new championships to her own resume one day. For now, she’s just happy to see the entire division shining.

“I think that it’s amazing,” she said. “I’ve been able to accomplish a lot in a very short amount of time, and I’ve been able to hold a lot of titles. Those two new titles, they’re very shiny and pretty, and those women that are holding those titles are amazing women. So, anyone that could take those titles from those women that hold those titles right now, that’s a huge accomplishment. But yeah, our roster’s just so stacked, so we’re getting more opportunities because we’re showing up, and we’re showing out.”

Belair’s confidence and determination have already made her a fan favorite in WWE, and many are eager to see her compete for these titles. With her impressive track record in the ring and her undeniable star power, it’s clear that Belair would be a formidable challenger for any champion.

  • Bianca Belair & Naomi Retain WWE Women’s Tag Titles Against NXT Team

It seems that the fourth time was not the charm for Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend as their efforts to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships fell short once more on “WWE NXT.” On this occasion, Jackson and Legend challenged Bianca Belair and Naomi.

At one point, Jackson and Legend appeared to be on the verge of victory as they laid out Naomi with a neckbreaker-facebuster combination. Before Legend could gain a pinfall on Naomi, however, Belair jumped back in the ring to break it up. In the title match’s closing moments, Belair assisted in sending Legend through the ropes and to the outside. Meanwhile, Naomi reversed a fall from Jackson for a two-count fall of her own. With Legend still on the floor, Naomi and Belair then delivered a double KOD on Jackson to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

With this win, Belair and Naomi are now 2-0 in their televised tag title defenses. Last month, Naomi stepped up to be Belair’s tag partner, as her former co-champion Jade Cargill remains out of action following a backstage attack she suffered in November. In their first outing together, Naomi and Belair defeated Nia Jax and Candice LeRae on “WWE SmackDown.”

Their tag title match against Jackson and Legend came about two weeks ago when the Meta-Four stablemates bested Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) in a number one contenders match on “NXT.” Jackson and Legend have had three previous opportunities to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, tracing back to July 2024.

In a thrilling match on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Bianca Belair and Naomi successfully defended their Women’s Tag Team Titles against a formidable NXT team.

The match was fast-paced and action-packed from the start, with both teams showcasing their incredible athleticism and teamwork. Bianca Belair’s raw power and Naomi’s agility proved to be a winning combination as they were able to outsmart their opponents and retain their titles.

Despite the NXT team’s best efforts, they were unable to overcome the dominant duo of Belair and Naomi. The champions proved once again why they are a force to be reckoned with in the women’s tag team division.

Fans were on the edge of their seats throughout the match, cheering on their favorite team and marveling at the incredible skill on display. In the end, it was Belair and Naomi who stood tall, celebrating their hard-fought victory and proving that they are truly deserving of their title reign.

Congratulations to Bianca Belair and Naomi on their impressive win! It will be exciting to see who will step up next to challenge them for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

  • PlayStation says it’s “evolving” its Plus subscription service to include only PS5 titles: “PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit”

PlayStation is planning to phase PS4 titles out of its Plus subscription service by 2026.

Currently, Plus offers all members free downloads to a monthly selection of PS4 and PS5 games, though PlayStation notes in its February PlayStation Plus announcement (it’s getting Payday 3, High on Life and Pac-Man World Re-Pac) that “many” subscribers are both playing on PS5 and redeeming games for the newer console.

In a recent announcement, PlayStation revealed that it will be “evolving” its Plus subscription service to focus exclusively on PS5 titles. This means that PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit for subscribers.

This move comes as Sony continues to push the boundaries of gaming with its next-generation console. By offering only PS5 titles as part of the Plus subscription, PlayStation is aiming to provide a more tailored and high-quality gaming experience for its users.

While this change may disappoint some players who still enjoy playing PS4 games, it signals a shift towards fully embracing the capabilities of the PS5 and delivering cutting-edge gaming content to its subscribers.

Stay tuned for more updates on PlayStation’s evolving Plus subscription service and the exciting new titles that will be included in the lineup.

  • Targeting hat-trick of titles, Aryna Sabalenka falls short to an inspired Madison Keys at Australian Open |

Targeting hat-trick of titles, Aryna Sabalenka falls short to an inspired Madison Keys at Australian Open

TimesofIndia.com in Melbourne: Professional sport is decided by moments. By sudden change in momentum. By luck. By one wicket. By one boundary. By one jab. By one point. The margins between win and loss, joy and sorrow, could well be just that. Years and years of hard work could well be decided by these small facets. How you play that one delivery coming at you at 150 kmph. How well you land that 150 kmph in the first place. How, if at all, you duck that right hook. How you play that forehand when down match point. Or, conversely, play the big points – such as a match point – when you’ve got lots at stake. Madison Keys and Aryna Sabalenka had plenty at stake when they took court in front of tens of thousands of people at the Rod Laver Arena on Saturday. A $3.5 million prize cheque. 2000 ranking points. Opportunity to lift the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup. Accolades.

Sabalenka had done these things before already, though. Twice (in 2023 and 2024). She was going for a three-peat at Melbourne Park. No one had won three in a row here since Martina Hingis in 1999. She had had a largely uneventful run to the title match. Except for the tricky second set, under stiff conditions, against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarter-final, things had gone smoothly and as per plan.
Keys, meanwhile, had ticked none of those boxes. Her last run to a major final was eight years ago – the longest gap between first two women’s singles Grand Slam finals. She had not been in the top 10 for two years. And her run to the final was laden with high-profile wins – against World No. 10 Danielle Collins, World No. 6 Elena Rybakina, World No. 28 Elena Svitolina and World No. 2 Iga Swiatek. Against Swiatek, Keys was required to save a match point.

On Saturday, Keys started and ended well. She broke Sabalenka in the very first game and to complete the full circle, did that once again in what was the eventual 38th game of the two-hour contest. In the moments that mattered, the miniscule bits in the grand scheme of things, Keys was braver and hit bigger shots against Sabalenka, considered one of the biggest and boldest hitters in women’s tennis.
In the seventh game of the decisive third set, Keys served at 30-30. The crowd was aware of the magnitude of the point as the intensity and decibel level went up. If it went Sabalenka’s way, she would have a break point to create a match-changing lead. Instead, Keys served wide to the forehand and punched a winner on the return to the other side of the court. Next point, a mirror image of it with a backhand winner.

Fast forward four games, it was 5-5 and 30-30, the sun had set over the Melbourne skyline and the twilight had made way for a clear and cool night. Keys bounced the ball to serve and the nerves, if any, were not quite visible for either player. They were dialled in, as you need to in professional sport from start to finish. One miscalculation, one mishit, any passivity and it could be curtains. Keys, though, was in the zone. She got down low to a deep return and diverted the ball into the corner for a winner. Next point, same direction for a similar outcome and she had pushed the envelope in Sabalenka’s side.
The Belarusian, who had started the match poorly, especially on serve, had regained control. But, as already mentioned, we were in small margins territory now. “Squeaky bum time,” as legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson referred to it. Four points separated Keys from the title. Sabalenka started by sending her forehand long on a mishit. Make that three. On the second, Keys romped to a little kick serve for a backhand winner. Two more to get. Sabalenka erred on the forehand a point later and it was Championship point. The World No. 1 saved one. Could she prolong the edge-of-the-seat encounter, everyone wondered. Many neutrals in the Rod Laver Arena hoped. Instead, Keys went inside out on the forehand once and then again, the first one came back but the second one didn’t. ‘Maddy’ had done it!

Keys was the 2025 Australian Open champion. Her first-ever Grand Slam title, 16 years after turning pro. The 30-year-old became the fourth oldest first-time Grand Slam winner. When the rankings are updated on Monday, she would match her career-best World No. 7 ranking.
The contrast in emotions was visible across the net. Keys erupted with smiles, joy, and sheer disbelief. She made her way to her team and exchanged hugs with everyone, including husband and coach Bjorn Fratangelo, whom she married only eight weeks ago.
For Sabalenka, meanwhile, it was bewilderment – at the outcome, the tennis she displayed and most problematically, she acknowledged, with her humility of the situation. The racket bore the brunt of that. She bumbled to her box and coaches, with whom she shares a great relationship filled with laughter and banter, as she made her way to the net for the customary handshake – or hug in this case. The 27-year-old then smacked her racket on the ground and walked off to the locker room.
“There definitely was a bit of frustration because I was so close to achieve [achieving] something crazy. When you’re out there, you’re fighting, but it seems like everything [was] going not the way you really want [it] to go. I just needed to throw those negative emotions at the end just so I could give a speech, not stand there being disrespectful. I was just trying to let it go and be a good person, be respectful,” she said in the post-match media interaction with a laugh. “I was stand [standing] there and just was like, ‘Okay, c’mon, you’ve been in her position. She deserves that. She was [a] better player than you.’ Just, you know, it was tough,” added Sabalenka.
During the first set and start of the second, Sabalenka would look at her box repeatedly, mumble something, and continue. Things were not going her way and Keys deserved most of the credit for that. If the serve was faltering, it was because it had come under the pump from the word go. The American, who had won the Australian Open warm-up event in Adelaide, had come out quickly off the blocks and was sending deep groundstrokes to counter Sabalenka’s game of dominating proceedings with her sheer power. The Belarusian, who has three major titles on hard courts, looked clueless.
She later said, at this point in her career, it was “trophy or nothing”.
“Nobody remembers the finalist, you know? Nobody puts, like, next to the winner [the] finalist’s name,” she said with a smile. “I mean, at this point, yeah, I go for titles. But, of course, I have to be proud of myself with the finals, three finals in the row. That’s something crazy. I hope that next year I’ll come back as a better player, and I’ll hold Daphne one more time,” she stated.

In a thrilling semi-final match at the Australian Open, Aryna Sabalenka’s quest for a hat-trick of titles came to an end as she fell short to an inspired Madison Keys. The Belarusian powerhouse had been in scintillating form throughout the tournament, but Keys proved to be a tough opponent, showcasing her own skill and determination on the court.

Despite a valiant effort from Sabalenka, Keys’ aggressive play and powerful shots ultimately proved too much to handle. The American’s precision and consistency allowed her to control the match and secure a well-deserved victory.

Sabalenka, who had won the previous two Grand Slam titles, will no doubt be disappointed with the outcome, but she can take pride in her impressive performance throughout the tournament. Her fighting spirit and determination have made her a force to be reckoned with on the tennis court, and she will no doubt bounce back stronger in her next competition.

As for Keys, her victory sets up an exciting final showdown at the Australian Open, where she will face off against a formidable opponent. Fans can expect a thrilling match as both players battle it out for the coveted title. Stay tuned for what promises to be an epic conclusion to an already exhilarating tournament.

  • Wednesday Season 2 : New Cast Members, Episode Titles, and What’s Coming Next

If you thought 2024 was the year for Netflix hits, 2025 might just raise the bar even higher. With the much-anticipated return of Squid Game and the final season of Stranger Things, Netflix’s lineup for the coming year is already looking impressive. Among the most eagerly awaited shows is Wednesday Season 2, which recently wrapped filming in Ireland. Fans of the gothic teen series, led by Jenna Ortega as the iconic Wednesday Addams, can expect more dark humor, spooky adventures, and a fresh batch of intriguing characters.

The series, which became Netflix’s most-watched English-language show, has a massive fan base, and expectations are high for the new season. With Jenna Ortega returning as the sharp-witted, deadpan Wednesday, the show promises to build on the charm and eccentricity that made it a breakout hit. But there’s also a lot of fresh talent in the mix, making this season feel like it might take things to a new level.

New Cast Members to Keep an Eye On

While most of the main cast members are back for Season 2, there’s a noticeable absence: Percy Hynes White, who portrayed Xavier, has been replaced after allegations of sexual assault were made against him. The decision was made after a public statement from White, and Jenna Ortega later responded to the situation. With this change, fans are curious to see how the dynamics of the show will evolve.

But it’s not all bad news for fans of fresh faces. The new season introduces several exciting new cast members, each set to add their own unique flavor to the quirky world of Nevermore Academy. Some of these additions include:

    • Liv Spencer (Kaos, Knightfall) as Varicose
    • Neri Zaccardelli as Stassa
    • Andrew Macklin (Doctor Who) as Gregg Mulligan
    • Kerry Shale (Sandman) as Gabe Packard
    • Megan Elle Day as Jennifer Tessbaum in Episodes 3 and 4
    • Derek Miller as Dwayne
    • Clare Gavin, with a role still under wraps

Alongside these exciting newcomers, the season boasts some major stars who are bound to bring their flair to the show. Among them are Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd, Steve Buscemi, Haley Joel Osment, and Joanna Lumley, adding a star-studded touch to the mystery-filled world of Wednesday Addams. Of course, Christopher Lloyd’s return as Uncle Fester is particularly exciting, given his iconic role in The Addams Family films.

Episode Titles That Are Set to Make a Splash

Along with the fresh talent, new details about the upcoming season’s episodes have also been revealed. True to form, the episode titles continue the series’ tradition of playing with the theme of “woe”—a term that perfectly encapsulates the dark humor and eerie atmosphere of the show. Fans can expect the following episode titles for the first four chapters of Season 2:

    1. Here We Woe Again
    2. If These Woes Could Talk
    3. The Devil You Woe
    4. The Great Outwoes

It’s safe to say that Tim Burton, who directed several episodes in the first season, is once again bringing his signature gothic style to the series. Paco Cabezas, known for his work on Umbrella Academy, will also direct some of the upcoming episodes, ensuring that the second season keeps its quirky, atmospheric vibe.

    What’s Next for Wednesday Addams?

So, what can we expect from Wednesday Season 2? With a killer cast, intriguing new faces, and those trademark spooky twists, the new season is sure to keep fans at the edge of their seats. Whether the Addams family will be dealing with more supernatural mysteries, or if Wednesday will be caught in even darker intrigues at Nevermore Academy, one thing is certain: this season will be one for the books.

Although there’s no official release date yet, it’s clear that Netflix has big plans for Wednesday’s return, and the excitement is only going to grow as we inch closer to the release. Until then, you can start rewatching Season 1, catch up on any of the star-studded additions, and prepare for more spine-chilling fun in the Addams family’s world.

  • Way more game makers are working on PC titles than ever, survey says

Four out of five game developers are currently working on a project for the PC, a sizable increase from 66 percent of developers a year ago. That’s according to Informa’s latest State of the Game Industry survey, which partnered with Omdia to ask over 3,000 game industry professionals about their work in advance of March’s Game Developers Conference.

The 80 percent of developers working on PC projects in this year’s survey is by far the highest mark for any platform dating back to at least 2018, when 60 percent of surveyed developers were working on a PC game. In the years since, the ratio of game developers working on the PC has hovered between 56 and 66 percent before this year’s unexpected jump. The number of game developers saying they were interested in the PC as a platform also increased substantially, from 62 percent last year to 74 percent this year.

While the PC has long been the most popular platform in this survey, the sudden jump in the last year was rather large.

The PC has long been the most popular platform for developers to work on in the annual State of the Game Industry survey, easily outpacing consoles and mobile platforms that generally see active work from anywhere between 12 to 36 percent of developer respondents, depending on the year. In its report, Informa notes this surge as a “passion for PC development explod[ing]” among developers, and mentions that while “PC has consistently been the platform of choice… this year saw its dominance increase even more.”

The increasing popularity of PC gaming among developers is also reflected in the number of individual game releases on Steam, which topped out at a record of 18,974 individual titles for 2024, according to SteamDB. That record number was up over 32 percent from 2023, which was up from just under 16 percent from 2022 (though many Steam games each year were “Limited Games” that failed to meet Valve’s minimum engagement metrics for Badges and Trading Cards).

The number of annual Steam releases also points to increasing interest in the platform.

    The Steam Deck effect?

While it’s hard to pinpoint a single reason for the sudden surge in the popularity of PC game development, Informa speculates that it’s “connected to the rising popularity of Valve’s Steam Deck.” While Valve has only officially acknowledged “multiple millions” in sales for the portable hardware, GameDiscoverCo analyst Simon Carless estimated that between 3 million and 4 million Steam Deck units had been sold by October 2023, up significantly from reports of 1 million Deck shipments in October 2022.

According to a recent survey, the number of game makers developing titles for PC has significantly increased in recent years. This trend is driven by a variety of factors, including the growing popularity of PC gaming, the accessibility of development tools, and the potential for greater creative freedom.

The survey found that a majority of game developers are now focusing on PC titles, with many citing the flexibility and scalability of the platform as key reasons for their choice. Additionally, the survey revealed that PC games are becoming increasingly diverse in terms of genres, styles, and target audiences, reflecting the broad appeal of the platform.

Overall, the findings suggest that the PC gaming market is thriving and attracting a wide range of talented developers. As technology continues to evolve and new opportunities emerge, it’s likely that we’ll see even more innovative and exciting PC games in the future.

In a surprise move, the Houston Texans have amicably parted ways with team president Greg Grissom, the team announced Thursday. The move was made despite the Texans winning a second consecutive AFC South division title in 2024. The Texans have also won playoff games in consecutive years.

“We want to thank Greg for his contributions to the organization,” Texans CEO Cal McNair said in a statement. “Since he became our team president in 2021, Greg helped me implement numerous initiatives to help our organization fearlessly evolve and grow in many ways, which we are thankful for. We wish Greg and his family nothing but the best in the future. We will provide updates regarding the team’s next president in the coming days.”

Specifically, Grissom oversaw the team’s management and direction of business operations. He had been with the franchise for nearly 25 years, including the last four as team president. Grissom said that he feels that “it’s the right time to embrace new challenges opportunities.”

“Over the past four years, I am incredibly proud of of what we accomplished for our fans and our business,” he said in a statement. “I am grateful for my time with the Texans and look forward to what’s next.”

As noted above, the Texans have quickly become of the NFL’s upper-echelon teams. After winning just seven games during Grissom’s first two years as president, the Texans won 22 games over the past two seasons. Houston hosted and won AFC wild-card games both seasons, including a 32-12 win over the Chargers earlier this month.

Expect the Texans to move quickly to find their next president, with the start of free agency less than two months away.

The Houston Texans have announced that they have amicably parted ways with team president, Jamey Rootes, despite the team’s recent success in winning back-to-back AFC South division titles.

Rootes had been with the Texans organization for over 20 years, serving as team president since 2000. During his tenure, the team saw significant growth in both revenue and fan engagement, with Rootes playing a key role in the development of NRG Stadium and the team’s overall business operations.

Despite the success on the field, the Texans have decided to make a change in leadership at the top, citing a desire to take the organization in a new direction. In a statement, Texans CEO Cal McNair thanked Rootes for his years of service and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The search for a new team president is already underway, with the Texans looking to find a candidate who can continue to build on the team’s recent success and help guide them towards even greater achievements in the future.

  • Ohio State wins national championship: Where do Buckeyes’ nine titles rank on all-time college football list?

Trying to figure out who owns the most national championships in college football is not for the weak of heart. The sport has changed considerably since the sport’s inaugural season — 1869 — when Princeton and Rutgers played twice and, conveniently, split those two games.

For decades after that, even as the sport expanded, the definition of “champion” remained uncertain. Many seasons featured a handful of winners, thanks in large part to no definitive ranking. In all, 42 different national polls have been used to select champions throughout the sport’s history, per the NCAA record book. If you look at the 1936 season, when the Associated Press — which would become the preeminent ranking system — arrived on the scene, four different teams were named champion. One outlet dubbed Duke the champion, three named LSU, eight crowned Minnesota and three chose Pittsburgh. Many of those selections were retroactive, too.

The most straightforward way to answer “Who has the most national championships?” is to go by the NCAA-recognized titles at the highest level of collegiate football, and that’s the criteria used below — for the most part. The figures are updated through Ohio State’s 34-23 win over Notre Dame on Monday night.

    10. Minnesota, 6

    Championships: 1934, 1935, 1936, 1940, 1941, 1960

It’s been a while, but the Golden Gophers were a powerhouse in the 1930s and 1940s, with 1941 Heisman Trophy winner Bruce Smith among the stars. Minnesota reached the mountaintop again in 1960, splitting the title with Ole Miss despite losing to Washington in the Rose Bowl.

    9. Oklahoma, 7

    Championships: 1950, 1955, 1956, 1974, 1975, 1985, 2000

Oklahoma’s seven titles came across four different decades, with the program’s first three national championships (all outright) coming under Bud Wilkinson in the 1950s. Then came consecutive titles in 1974 and 1975 under Barry Switzer and another title under Switzer in 1985. Bob Stoops led Oklahoma to its most recent title, in 2000, with a perfect 13-0 record in just his second season in Norman.

    8. Harvard, 8

    Championships: 1875, 1890, 1898, 1899, 1910, 1912, 1913, 1919

Harvard no longer plays at the highest level of college football (FBS). In fact, the Ivy League doesn’t even participate in the FCS playoffs, though that changes next season, but the Crimson used to dominate in the earliest days of the sport. Again, things have changed a lot. Percy Haughton led the Crimson to consecutive 9-0 seasons in 1912 and 1913.

    T-6. Ohio State, 9

    Championships: 1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002, 2014, 2024

The Buckeyes have produced many of the game’s all-time greats, and now, they have tied the sixth-most NCAA-recognized national titles, too. Interestingly, Ohio State won both the first four-team College Football Playoff and the first 12-team College Football Playoff. Woody Hayes led the program to five of its nine championships.

    T-6. USC, 9

    Championships: 1931, 1932, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1978, 2003, 2004

Like Ohio State, USC has produced some of the game’s greatest talents and has nine titles to show for it. The Trojans earned their first two titles in the early 1930s and then went three decades before returning to titletown in the 1960s (twice) and 1970s (three times). After another long wait, Pete Carroll led the Trojans to consecutive titles in 2003 and 2004.

    5. Michigan, 10

    Championships: 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1918, 1923, 1933, 1948, 1997, 2024

Michigan is college football’s all-time winningest program, and its long run of dominance reflects that. The Wolverines went back-to-back-to-back-to-back around the turn of the 20th century and racked up four more titles by 1948. Then it took a while — until 1997, to be exact, behind Lloyd Carr and Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson. Jim Harbaugh’s bunch won it all in 2024 to give Michigan double-digit championships.

    4. Notre Dame, 11

    Championships: 1924, 1929, 1930, 1943, 1946, 1947, 1949, 1966, 1973, 1977, 1988

While the Fighting Irish couldn’t add to their total Monday night against the Buckeyes, they can still claim more championships overall. Knute Rockne led the Irish to their first three titles before Frank Leahy led them to four more in the 1940s. The current drought, though, spans 36 years, the longest in program history. The NCAA recognizes Notre Dame as a 13-time champion, but the Fighting Irish claim just 11 of those championships as the consensus winner, and that is the number CBS Sports research goes with, too.

    3. Princeton, 15

    Championships: 1869, 1870, 1872, 1873, 1878, 1879, 1880, 1885, 1889, 1893, 1896, 1903, 1906, 1911, 1922

Princeton claims 28 titles, but the NCAA recognizes 15, all of which came in the first 54 seasons of the sport existing. The Tigers even won four of the first five national championships, which makes sense given there were only a handful of teams in those days.

    2. Alabama, 16

    Championships: 1925, 1926, 1930, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020

Alabama is known for two dynasties — Nick Saban’s six national championships in the 2000s and Bear Bryant’s six from 1961 to 1979 — but the Crimson Tide also won three titles in the early days of the sport under Wallace Wade.

    1. Yale, 18

    Championships: 1874, 1876, 1877, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1883, 1884, 1886, 1887, 1888, 1891, 1892, 1894, 1900, 1907, 1909, 1927

Sleep on the Ivy League at your own risk. Yale, much like Princeton and Harvard, goes way, way back to the sport’s early years, and the Bulldogs were absolutely dominant then. They won three titles in the 1870s and an incredible eight in the 1880s. Yale celebrates the 100th anniversary of its most recent champion in a few years, but for now, it remains on top.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have secured their ninth national championship in college football history, solidifying their status as one of the most successful programs in the sport. With this latest victory, many fans and analysts are wondering where the Buckeyes’ nine titles rank on the all-time college football list.

Historically, Ohio State’s nine national championships put them in elite company, tying them with Notre Dame for the second most titles in college football history. The only program with more national championships is Alabama, who currently has 18 titles to their name.

Ohio State’s national championships have come in various eras, with their first title coming in 1942 and their most recent in 2014. The Buckeyes have had legendary coaches such as Woody Hayes and Urban Meyer lead them to national championship success, further cementing their place as one of the premier programs in college football.

While Ohio State’s nine national championships are certainly impressive, the debate over where they rank on the all-time list will continue to rage on. Some may argue that the Buckeyes’ success is on par with programs like Notre Dame and USC, while others may believe that Alabama’s dominance in recent years sets them apart as the greatest program in college football history.

Regardless of where Ohio State’s nine titles rank on the all-time list, one thing is for certain: the Buckeyes’ consistent success on the gridiron has solidified their place among college football’s elite programs. Congratulations to Ohio State on their latest national championship victory! #GoBucks #NationalChampions
