Donald Trump Jr is now told Bettina Anderson is not someone he should be around because of her past
Donald Trump Jr is now being cautioned about his new girlfriend Bettina Anderson

Mar-a-Lago has already lost interest in Donald Trump Jr‘s new girlfriend Bettina Anderson and multiple sources close to the family are now raising alarm that Don Jr should not be around Bettina because of her ‘questionable’ past, Mediaite reported. The relationship is still in a budding state and it’s not yet known what went wrong so quickly. A month ago, Don Jr’s break up with Kimberly Guilfoyle got kind of confirmed after Donald Trump made Guilfoyle the US ambassador to Greece. It was told at that time that the family did not like Kimberly, her loud presence, her fashion sense etc. A much younger Bettina Anderson was in the good book of the family members instead. But now people are saying that Anderson’s association is not good for Don Jr as she has always been known for hard partying and she had a pattern of dating wealthy men in Florida with whom she was in transactional relationships. “I told him that she’s not someone he should be around, and let him know about her past,” a friend said.

Mediaite reported that Donald Trump is also concerned about the relationship and sees Bettina’s presence as more of a liability than an asset. There are also whispers that she may be barred from attending the inauguration because if she attends the inauguration as Don Jr’s date, her position would be cemented in the new first family.

Bettina is still being perceived as a casual partner

Though Bettina Anderson has been seen at Mar-a-Lago and was also there at the Republican National Convention, the family is dithering to accept her as Donald Trump Jr’s new girlfriend who should be there at the inauguration. Bettina was there at the New Year’s party but the inauguration is where the family draws the line. They are ready to dismiss Bettina as a casual partner. “The idea that he might have the audacity to bring a casual partner on stage at the inauguration has been described as a potential misstep that could etch this relationship, and its questionable nature, into the history books,” said one family friend.

In a shocking turn of events, Donald Trump Jr has been advised to steer clear of Bettina Anderson due to her controversial past. Anderson, a former associate of Trump Jr, has been linked to various scandals and legal issues that have raised red flags among those close to the Trump family.

Sources close to Trump Jr have revealed that he has been warned about Anderson’s questionable reputation and advised to distance himself from her in order to avoid any potential negative repercussions. It is unclear what exactly Anderson’s past entails, but it seems to have been serious enough for Trump Jr to take heed of the warnings.

This latest development has left many wondering about the nature of Anderson’s past and what implications it may have for Trump Jr and the Trump family as a whole. As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how Trump Jr will navigate this potentially damaging association.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.

  • Former funeral director’s office would be Airbnb rather than bedsits councillors told

A FORMER funeral director’s building could be used as holiday let accommodation rather than traditional bedsits it has been claimed.

Councillors approved a change of use planning application for the former Robert Howell & Son Funeral Directors property on Newport Road, Caldicot which some neighbours had objected to and concerns also raised by town councillors.

Monmouthshire County Council’s head of planning, Amy Longford, told its planning committee the town council’s concerns echoed those of residents regarding a loss of retail space and the amount of Houses of Multiple Occupation, known as HMOs, in the area.

Ms Longford said the council has no specific policy controlling the number of HMOs but said overall the number in Caldicot is “relatively low”. She also said as the property, which is part of three building terrace with a Chinese takeaway and a bicycle shop, is outside of the main shopping area policies to protect commercial premises don’t apply.

Concerns were raised about parking but Ms Longford said there was no objection from the highways department with two spaces at the front retained and a further two at the back, though she acknowledged access to those is “tight”.

Highways said it was in a “sustainable location” close to the town centre and parking on Newport Road is restricted and generally lower car ownership associated with HMOs but it could relax the parking standards it would apply to flats.

The former funeral director’s on the ground floor will be converted to three bedrooms and a kitchen, dining area and utility room with the existing first floor three bedroom flat adapted to provide as many bedrooms. Ms Longford said all six rooms would have ensuite bathrooms.

Caldicot Dewstow councillor Tony Easson said the application, by a Mr J Bishop, had “caused some concerns to local residents” around parking and potential anti-social behaviour and as it is opoosite the Measure Inn pub.

But the Labour councillor added: “This is perhaps not a HMO as people are expecting it to be. I understand from one objector who’s spoken to the developer it will be an Airbnb type thing which might put another question on the car parking if there’s going to be six business people there.

“I think we need to move forward and it will bring hopefully some business to the town.”

The councillor said a “careful watch” should be kept on car parking and suggested the issue could perhaps come back to the commitee.

Independent councillor Wyesham Emma Bryn said she was disappointed there was no landscaping proposed for the front of the property so it would “look less like a business” and also questioned if residents will have anywhere outside to dry their laundry, with a small lawn at the back to be maintained.

The committee approved the application though two members voted against allowing the change of use.

I would like to share with you some interesting news that has been brought to light recently. A former funeral director’s office in a local town is being considered to be turned into an Airbnb rather than being converted into bedsits, as initially proposed.

The idea of transforming this space into a short-term rental accommodation has sparked some controversy among local councillors. Some argue that it would be more beneficial to the community to have affordable housing options available, especially in a time where the housing market is becoming increasingly unaffordable for many.

On the other hand, supporters of the Airbnb idea believe that it could bring in more tourists to the area and boost the local economy. They also argue that it would be a unique and interesting place for visitors to stay, given the history of the building.

It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds and what decision will ultimately be made. What are your thoughts on this matter? Do you believe that turning the former funeral director’s office into an Airbnb is a good idea, or should it be converted into bedsits for affordable housing? Let us know in the comments below.

  • I was prescribed a common antibiotic and wasn’t told of the risks… I’m now disabled and need 24/7 care

A woman rendered permanently disabled and wheelchair-bound after being prescribed a common antibiotic in 2021 is warning others about its side effects.

An avid runner and fitness fanatic at the time, Talia Smith, 45, was prescribed ciprofloxacin, or Cipro for short, to treat a urinary tract infection in April 2021.

What happened next felt like ‘a bomb going off’ in her body — after three pills, sharp pains like she was being electrocuted shot up from her feet to her legs.

Her muscles became so stiff that she couldn’t move. She went to the hospital but claims doctors sent her home and told her to take ibuprofen.

Eventually, she could no longer shower by herself or chew and swallow food unless it was pureed first. Because of her own complex health needs and those of her husband, a disabled veteran, they can no longer live in the same home.

When Smith’s story first broke, it inspired more Americans to come forward with their harrowing experiences on Cipro

Yet, the drug continued to be prescribed to millions of Americans every year without doctors warning about its links to a devastating condition that causes irreparable nerve damage.

But now, almost four years on, the CDC will now formally recognize the side effect known colloquially as ‘floxing.’

Talia Smith, pictured with her husband, was active and healthy before being prescribed Cipro to treat a UTI

Mrs Smith is still wheelchair-pound and is in 24/7 palliative care to manage her symptoms, including muscle and joint stiffness rendering her unable to walk, difficulting swallowing, and inability to bathe by herself

Talia Smith, pictured with her husband (left), was active and healthy before being prescribed Cipro to treat a UTI – now she’s disabled and needs constant care

Mrs Smith took just three pills before noticing worsening sharp, shooting pains all over her body. Five months later she was in hospice weighing 60 lbs

When Mrs Smith moved into hospice care she couldn’t swallow solid food, walk on her own, or lift her arms over her head

Fluoroquinolones, whether taken by mouth or inhaled, can cause serious side effects that may be disabling, long-lasting, and possibly permanent. These side effects are estimated to affect at least 1 to 10 people out of every 10,000 who use these medications.

Using her harrowing health journey as a catalyst for advocacy, Smith and doctors successfully pressed the CDC to get the condition officially recognized as a diagnosable, reportable condition, helping to bring more awareness to the issue and making it easier to track. That policy came into effect in July 2024.

The CDC’s formal recognition was ‘something like landing on the moon,’ according to Dr Stefan Pieper, who has treated around 1,500 patients with fluoroquinolone poisoning at his practice in Germany and presented the proposal to the CDC.

Smith says in her case, she asked her doctor about the drug’s possible side effects and its strength but was told the medication was safe and widely prescribed.

However, the doctor did not mention the FDA‘s series of Black Box warnings, the first being issued in 2008, about the risks of tendonitis, nerve damage causing numbness, pain and tingling, seizures, tremors, and several others.

Mrs Smith said: ‘I took the antibiotic. Three pills in, I couldn’t walk. I started having pains all over my body. My vision actually changed in this time. I had problems swallowing.’

Fluoroquinolones, the class of antibiotics to which Cipro belongs, comes with a laundry list of potentially devastating side effects from tendon rupture and muscle wasting to nerve damage and aortic tears. Despite the risks, it’s prescribed to roughly 15 million Americans every year.

When Mrs Smith went to her local emergency department in Norwood, Massachusetts, one of the first questions a doctor asked her was, ‘Are you taking Cipro?’

It was then that she learned of the Black Box warnings, the most stringent the FDA could hand down, and that many of her symptoms were there – tremors, sharp, shooting pains, dizziness, and muscle weakness.

Though she stopped taking the medicine after two days, the damage was done.

She got worse by the week.

Mrs Smith rarely got sick, only ever going to the doctor for her annual checkups

When Mrs Smith moved into hospice care she couldn't swallow solid food, walk on her own, or lift her arms over her head

Prior to taking Cipro, Mrs Smith (pictured left, with her sister) exercised regularly and seldom needed medication. She rarely fell ill and only visited the doctor for her annual checkups

Five months later, she was in hospice care, weighing 60 lbs.

‘The nerve pain was ridiculous, just constant nerve pain,’ she said.

She added: ‘And as for my life, it’s flipped upside down. I can’t even take care of myself. I’m on palliative care. I need care 24/7.’

Cipro is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, and while it targets harmful bacteria, it can also target human cells, including nerve cells.

It can interfere with the function of mitochondria in cells, which govern energy production and cellular repair. Stress on cells harms nerves, disrupting their normal signaling pathways.

It can also affect how nerves send signals by interfering with tiny pathways, called ion channels, that help nerves communicate. This disruption can cause unusual sensations, like pain or tingling.

Before taking Cipro, Mrs Smith worked out often and rarely took medication

At the time of her health crisis she was a caregiver to her veteran husband - but was forced to stop when confronted with her own debilitating illness, forcing them to live seperately from each other

Previously a caregiver to her veteran husband, Mrs Smith was forced to stop when her own debilitating illness emerged, resulting in the couple living apart

The FDA has received reports of hundreds of thousands of serious adverse events associated with fluoroquinolones from more than 60,000 patients since the 1980s.

One recent case involves 61-year-old actor Rick Zingale from New Jersey, who played Don Miguel in Rambo: Last Blood (2019). In 2022, he was hospitalized with symptoms doctors initially believed to be bronchitis and pneumonia.

Zingale was given an IV drip of the fluoroquinolone antibiotic levofloxacin to treat what was thought to be a bacterial lung infection. However, he later learned that he was actually suffering from heart failure, making the antibiotics ineffective.

Unfortunately, the drugs caused him life-altering complications. He developed a red, swollen mass near his right collarbone and experiences pain that ‘shoots down’ his neck and right arm. Additionally, he has developed arthritis in his right hand, which he believes is linked to the medication.

He said: ‘I’m defeated… because I have these horrible symptoms and I don’t know what’s going on… I’m absolutely distraught.’

Another person affected is 44-year-old Mindy Tautfest from Oklahoma City.

In 2016, the former ICU nurse had surgery to remove her appendix, she shared with DailyMail.com.

About three weeks later, doctors informed her that the internal stitches had become infected and prescribed a week-long course of ciprofloxacin, also known as Cipro.

With her extensive experience in prescribing this drug for similar infections, Mrs. Tautfest wasn’t initially concerned. However, after starting the medication, she began feeling unusually off. “I can’t describe the weird feeling, I just didn’t feel quite right,” she explained.

Just two months after beginning the drug, she suffered a vertebral artery dissection, which is a tear in the artery that supplies blood to the brain. Unfortunately, in her case, it led to a stroke.

Mindy Tautfest with her family shortly before the vertebral dissection occurred, which she believes is due to the Cipro she was prescribed

Mindy Tautfest with her family shortly before the vertebral dissection occurred, which she believes is due to the Cipro she was prescribed

‘It was like a gunshot erupted inside my head,’ she said.

‘I felt the back of my head and couldn’t feel any blood. That’s when I realized that it was probably some type of a brain aneurysm inside my head that had ruptured.

‘It was like a peeling away – I call it an electrical avalanche – that rolled down my body. It just felt horrendous.’

Another one of many affected is 85-year-old John Sunderland Manousso from Texas, who visited his doctor in July 2023 for a recurring urinary tract infection (UTI).

His doctor prescribed a six-day course of levofloxacin. Just two days into taking the antibiotic, John began having difficulty walking.

His wife, Barbara, explained to DailyMail.com: ‘He said to me: “I’ve got knives coming up my legs.”’

‘He was wobbling like he’s on a boat, side to side, and obviously in pain.’

The couple began researching online and found a warning that the drug should not be given to people over 60 or those with motor issues. John had been diagnosed with vascular parkinsonism, which affects walking and balance, a condition they had discussed with the doctor before the prescription.

John Sunderland was previously an avid runner. His wife told DailyMail.com his legs tripled in size due to being so swollen after he took the antibiotic

John Sunderland was previously an avid runner. His wife told DailyMail.com his legs tripled in size due to being so swollen after he took the antibiotic

John now cannot get around without a walker, and has been left with 'terrible pain and balance issues' which have caused falls, including one in which he tore his rotator cuff

John now cannot get around without a walker, and has been left with ‘terrible pain and balance issues’ which have caused falls, including one in which he tore his rotator cuff

They contacted the doctor, who assured them that the side effects would go away once John stopped taking the drug.

But things got worse. A few days later, John could ‘barely move,’ and his legs had swollen to more than three times their normal size.

At a gala in Newport, Rhode Island, a couple of weeks later, when John tried to stand up, he ‘screamed.’ It turned out that the tendon in his right leg had torn.

Tendon ruptures are a known side effect of fluoroquinolones.

Now, John can no longer walk without a walker and is dealing with “terrible pain and balance issues,” which have caused several falls, including one in which he tore his rotator cuff.

Doctors are prescribing Cipro less frequently than other antibiotics because of the life-altering consequences.

Overusing Cipro has also led to some bacteria becoming resistant to it, making infections caused by those bacteria harder to treat in the future. Better alternatives exist for common conditions, including UTIs and lung infections.

Mrs Smith said: ‘Make sure you actually need an antibiotic before taking one.

‘Antibiotics in the United States are so overprescribed and we’re very used to taking them if a doctor tells you a medication is safe. Double check, triple check, just to be sure.’

Being prescribed antibiotics is a common occurrence for many people when dealing with infections or illnesses. However, what happens when you are not informed of the potential risks associated with these medications?

This was the case for me when I was prescribed a common antibiotic for a sinus infection. I was not told of the potential side effects or risks that could come with taking this medication. As a result, I suffered a severe adverse reaction that left me disabled and in need of 24/7 care.

The side effects of this antibiotic were debilitating, causing me to experience chronic pain, muscle weakness, and cognitive impairment. I now rely on others for basic tasks and require constant supervision and care.

It is crucial for healthcare providers to fully inform patients of the potential risks and side effects of any medication they are prescribed. In my case, not being made aware of these risks has had devastating consequences on my quality of life.

I urge everyone to advocate for their own health and ask questions about any medications they are prescribed. It is essential to be informed and aware of the potential risks so that you can make the best decisions for your health and well-being.

  • Stefanos Tsitsipas told ‘this is the last thing to tell a woman’ in Paula Badosa outburst | Tennis | Sport

Stefanos Tsitsipas was told off while watching Paula Badosa’s mid-match outburst.

The ATP No. 12 crashed out in the opening round of the Australian Open but his girlfriend is still alive and faced Marta Kostyuk in a tight third-round contest.

During the match, Badosa struggled with the wind and vented to her box. And a commentator told Tsitsipas that his response was “the last thing you want to tell a woman”.

Badosa found herself embroiled in a rollercoaster match on Friday as she faced 17th seed Kostyuk. The Spaniard took the first set 6-4 but suddenly fell 0-5 behind in the second.

Tensions boiled over during the next changeover as Badosa shouted over at her box, wildly gesturing about how windy it was and even offering her racket to her team so they could attempt to play in her place.

Tsitsipas, who was sat among Badosa’s coaches, got involved and tried to calm his girlfriend down. However, commentator Chanda Rubin wasn’t impressed with his response.

“The back and forth from Tsitsipas. It’s been windy and she was hand-miming the struggles she has had,” she said.

“And this is maybe the last thing you want to tell a woman that you’re in a relationship with. Calm down? Excuse me? You come play! And she was asking him, do you want to play today?”

Badosa found a new gear after unleashing her emotions, storming back to win four games in a row. But her deficit was too big and she couldn’t get back into the set as Kostyuk took it 6-4.

The No. 11 seed eventually survived, winning 6-4 4-6 6-3 to book her spot in the second week. Afterwards, she clarified that her outburst was aimed at her coach, not Tsitsipas.

“First of all, it wasn’t with Stefanos. It was with my coach,” she laughed.

“No, but I get it because now I was before coming here, I was on social media, and everyone was, like, Paula and Stefanos. They like to create all that because, of course, it’s going to get more views if they say Stefanos than if they say my coach.

“I’m always interacting with my coach, honestly. He’s the one that’s there with me. Stefanos is just a support. It’s emotional support. But he’s been supporting me so, so much on that.”

Badosa also took to social media to defend her boyfriend, tweeting: “I wasn’t with Stef it was with my coach that was in front of Stef. Let’s not try to create drama. Stef was the best supporter out there.”

The Spanish tennis star will now face either Jessica Pegula or Olga Danilovic for a spot in the quarter-final.

Stefanos Tsitsipas told ‘this is the last thing to tell a woman’ in Paula Badosa outburst | Tennis | Sport

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas found himself in hot water after a heated exchange with Spanish player Paula Badosa during a recent match. In a moment captured on camera, Tsitsipas can be heard telling Badosa, “this is the last thing to tell a woman” before storming off the court.

The incident has sparked controversy and raised questions about gender equality in tennis. Many fans and analysts have criticized Tsitsipas for his comments, with some calling them sexist and disrespectful.

Tsitsipas has since apologized for his outburst, saying that his words were taken out of context and that he meant no offense. However, the incident has reignited a conversation about the treatment of women in sports and the need for greater respect and equality.

As the tennis world continues to grapple with issues of sexism and discrimination, it is clear that there is still much work to be done. Let’s hope that incidents like this serve as a wake-up call for all players to treat each other with respect and dignity, regardless of gender.

  • What JJ Redick told Trey Jemison after he signed with LA Lakers, just after he had made other plans

The LA Lakers made another mid-season roster move.

Through 38 games played, the LA Lakers have a 21-17 record, which leaves them mid-table as the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. While it would be good enough to make the playoffs and avoid the Play-In Tournament, the conference is tight-knit for the mid-table teams and they could easily fall a few seeds down with a bad stretch of play.

Led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers have plenty of potential. The club is looking to make roster tweaks to help first-year head coach JJ Redick as they project to be a playoff team, though they need to sharpen up their game to become title contenders.

While the team made a mid-season trade to land Dorian Finney-Smith, they recently waived one player to make room for Trey Jamison, who recently played for the New Orleans Pelicans.

What JJ Redick told Jemison just after he signed with the Lakers

In-season moves are quite common across the NBA as teams see what areas they might be able to improve. The Lakers added Jemison for one key reason.

The 6-foot-11, 260-pound center brings a wealth of size to add down low and bring in off the bench to have a force against the opposition. Anthony Davis doesn’t quite have the size of Jemison, so it’s a good asset to have on the bench.

Redick even let Jemison know what they were looking for with his addition, meaning he knows exactly what to bring for the Lakers.

Asked what Redick told him, Jemison responded: “I gotta be a dog, man. Just bring great energy on the bench, games, talking loud. Be physical man,” Jemison explained.

“Just be extremely physical, just help, you know what I’m saying? I’m not here to be a superstar and I’m not here to score a lot of points; rebound, block shots, play defense.”

Doing the dirty work and using his physicality is going to give Jemison direction when he hits the floor for the Lakers, which is what any role player can do to provide value when they aren’t a star.

Jemison reveals his plan before joining the Lakers

The 6-foot-11 center made his NBA debut during the 2023-24 NBA season, and he played 25 games — two with the Washington Wizards and 23 with the Memphis Grizzlies — before joining the Pelicans this season.

Jemison has averaged 10.4 minutes per game for the Pelicans. He was prepared to join the Birmingham Squadron — the Pelicans’ G League affiliate — after being cut by the club, as he revealed.

“Frustrated, hurt [at being cut by New Orleans]. But just trusting God, man, knowing tomorrow will work out. I ended up going back to Birmingham to practice with the G League,” Jemison revealed.

“Going through their practice and watching them practice, I think I’m gonna play with them. And got a phone call from JJ, Changed overnight, so be grateful, man.”

Jemison was going to return to the G League as he was working out in Birmingham again, though things quickly changed for him. That was just before Redick told him what they needed from him in Los Angeles, too.

  • Christopher Walken Told Will Ferrell SNL More Cowbell Sketch ‘Ruined His Life’

Every once in a while, a Saturday Night Live sketch becomes the talk of the town.

In the new Peacock docuseries SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, Will Ferrell, along with other members of the cast and crew, look back at an April 2000 moment that had a major pop culture impact. With Christopher Walken hosting, Ferrell decided to try out a sketch he’d originally written for Norm Macdonald.

The sketch was a Behind the Music-style look at Blue Oyster Cult and the making of their hit, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper.”

“Christopher Walken added this thing where he gets all fired up and leans into it on such a level that I didn’t even expect,” Ferrell recalled.

The moment culminated in Walken’s iconic delivery of the line, “Guess what? I’ve got a fever. And the only prescription is more cowbell.”

Jimmy Fallon, who appeared in the sketch amid his first season on the show, added, “You hope for one of these things. It’s like lightning in a bottle. It rarely happens, where you have a catchphrase that takes off.”

“If you do something on sketch TV and people like it and are applauding it and laughing at it the second or tenth time, that’s just a thrill,” said Dana Carvey, who also featured in the episode and watched the audience react to the sketch in real time.

Fallon continued, “I remember, coming off of that, it almost felt like we had went to camp together or something. We grew up together. We had just had an experience.”

“We were really unified by the fact that we had to pull this off,” Ferrell agreed. “But there was no telling that it would be a thing that would be remembered from this point on.”

The sketch did well on its first airing, but got even more attention when it was featured in the Best of Will Ferrell, released in August 2003. It took off in a way no one had anticipated.

“Teams at sporting events were now playing clips on the Jumbotron to get a crowd going,” Ferrell shared.

It became a mainstay in pop culture, being referenced and duplicated in different areas of media. “To have things that you’ve created that have this other life, it’s completely surreal,” he said. Ferrell has played the cowbell with a bunch of different acts as a result of the sketch, he added.

“I went to see Christopher Walken years later in a play he was doing and I talked to him backstage and he’s like, ‘You know, you’ve ruined my life,’ ” Ferrell revealed.

When Ferrell asked how, Walken responded, “Every show, people bring cowbells for the curtain call and bang them and it’s quite disconcerting.”

In a recent interview, Christopher Walken revealed that the iconic Saturday Night Live sketch “More Cowbell” featuring himself and Will Ferrell has had a lasting impact on his life. Walken, who played the fictional record producer, Bruce Dickinson, in the sketch, said that the constant requests for him to say the famous line “I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell” have taken a toll on him.

“I can’t go anywhere without someone asking me to do that line,” Walken said. “It’s like people only see me as that character now, and it’s really frustrating. I’m a serious actor, dammit!”

Walken went on to say that he regrets ever agreeing to do the sketch and wishes he could move on from it. “It’s like I’m stuck in a time loop, forever known as the ‘cowbell guy’,” he lamented.

Despite Walken’s feelings about the sketch, it remains a beloved and oft-quoted moment in SNL history. Will Ferrell, who played the over-enthusiastic cowbell player, has yet to comment on Walken’s revelation.

  • Donald Trump told Donald Trump Jr. about Kristi Noem, ‘Even you wouldn’t kill a dog,’ book claims

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem was in President-elect Donald Trump’s doghouse after she crowed in a memoir published last year about butchering a 14-month-old wirehaired pointer named Cricket.

Despite his well-known dislike of pooches, Trump, now 78, understood the subsequent backlash against Noem, even making a joke of the situation with his eldest son, Don Jr. — known for his love of exotic hunting trips.

“’That’s not good at all,’ Trump told Don Jr., an avid hunter,” Politico reporter Alex Isenstadt reveals in his forthcoming book, “Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump’s Return to Power.”

“Even you wouldn’t kill a dog, and you kill everything,” added the elder Trump to his son, according to an excerpt of Isenstadt’s book shared with The Post Tuesday.

The furor quashed Noem’s chances of becoming Trump’s running mate after she had been considered a strong contender for the job, sources close to the then-candidate told The Post at the time.

“I hated that dog,” the governor wrote of Cricket in the book “No Going Back,” published this past May.

Noem, now 53, described Cricket as both “untrainable” with an “aggressive personality” and a bad hunting companion who was “dangerous to anyone she came in contact with.”

The Department of Homeland Security secretary-designate, who is set to face a confirmation hearing Wednesday, has defended her killing of Cricket as an example of a tough decision of the type that leaders frequently have to make.

At one point in the book, the governor appeared to suggest that President Biden should have followed her example when dealing with Commander, his German shepherd who had bitten Secret Service agents and others.

“What would I do if I was president on the first day in office in 2025? Thanks for asking. I happen to have a list. The first thing I’d do is make sure Joe Biden’s dog was nowhere on the grounds (‘Commander, say hello to Cricket for me’),” she wrote.

Ironically, Noem reportedly had attempted to mention the puppy-killing anecdote in her first book, 2022’s “Not My First Rodeo,” only to be overruled by her publisher.

Isenstadt’s book also reveals that the president-elect was both privy to and amused by gossip that Noem was having an extramarital affair with Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s first 2016 campaign manager and a longtime confidant.

“Lewandowski, Trump said, knew how to bat out of his league,” Isenstadt writes in the tome, adding that the New York-born real estate mogul dubbed Noem Lewandowski’s “girlfriend” and would “raise an eyebrow mischievously” when the topic came up within earshot.

In September 2023, The Post reported on accusations from inside Trump’s orbit that Noem and Lewandowski were having an “absurdly blatant and public” affair.

One source familiar with the matter told The Post they saw the couple making out at a hotel bar during the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla. Another recounted Noem sitting on Lewandowski’s lap and “playing grab-ass” at Mar-a-Lago back in December 2020.

Isenstadt recounts that the rumors didn’t help Noem’s vice presidential odds, writing the governor and Lewandowski “were together all the time, and Lewandowski followed the governor around like a puppy dog. Trump advisers had seen Lewandowski … slap her on the butt … Trump’s aides knew if Noem was picked, her relationship with Lewandowski would become one hell of a distraction.”

Lewandowski, who did a stint as a political aide to Noem and is now assisting her with the DHS transition effort, joined Trump’s orbit again for the final two months of the 2024 race as an adviser to the campaign’s senior leadership team.

“Aides noticed that shortly after [Lewandowski joined the campaign in September], he paraded Kristi Noem through headquarters. To staffers, it felt like he was showing off his woman,” the book explained.

The once and future president had still more concerns about the South Dakotan, according to the book.

In February 2024, the two Republicans met at Mar-a-Lago, where the then-candidate pressed the governor about her state’s abortion ban, which does not allow the procedure even in cases of rape or incest.

Noem claimed to Trump that she had inherited the law, which South Dakota voters have resisted loosening.

“Trump came away impressed by Noem,” Isenstadt wrote, “but remained concerned about how her state’s laws could be used against her by Democrats.”

“President Trump achieved a historic victory because he laid out a bold vision for this country after four disastrous years of Joe Biden,” Trump transition spokesperson Steven Cheung told The Post about the claims in the book.

“We will not dignify these type of salacious and unverified stories that have nothing to do with helping the American people or Making America Great Again.”

Lewandowski has repeatedly declined to comment on the record about his association with Noem.

When contacted by The Post, a spokesperson for Noem shared a statement they gave Isenstadt, which read: “This wouldn’t be the first time that you reported fake conversations that Governor Noem never had … As I have said many times, the allegation of an affair is completely false. She never had conversations with President Trump or his team about a nonexistent affair. I look forward to seeing your book on the ‘fiction’ shelves.”

“Revenge” is due to hit stores on March 18.

In a shocking revelation, a new book claims that former President Donald Trump once told his son, Donald Trump Jr., that even he wouldn’t kill a dog – all in reference to South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

The book, titled “The Trumps: A Family Dynasty,” alleges that Trump made the comment about Noem during a private conversation with his son. The statement was reportedly in response to Trump Jr. expressing frustration with Noem’s handling of certain political issues.

The author of the book, a former White House aide, claims that this anecdote sheds light on the strained relationship between Trump and Noem, despite her being a loyal supporter of the former president.

While the veracity of these claims remains to be confirmed, the alleged comment has sparked controversy and raised questions about the dynamics within the Trump family and their relationships with other prominent figures in politics.

It remains to be seen how this revelation will impact the ongoing political landscape and the future of the Trump family. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

Ruby Franke’s daughter Shari has shared what she said when she called child protective services on her mother, Ruby Franke.

Shari reflects on her relationship with her infamous influencer mother in her new memoir, The House of My Mother: A Daughter’s Quest for Freedom. In February 2024, Ruby was sentenced to 30 years in prison for abusing her 12-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter. She and her now ex-husband, Kevin Franke, ran a popular family YouTube Channel “8 Passengers,” which accumulated more than two million subscribers.

Following her arrest, Ruby and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse, including trying to convince Ruby’s two youngest children that they were evil, possessed by demons, and needed to be punished. Ruby’s four minor children were taken into the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services.

In an excerpt from her memoir shared with People, Shari recounted what happened when she first child protective services in a bid to help her siblings.

“Ruby’s face contorted with anger and hurt. ‘I can’t believe you called the police on me,’ she began, her voice rising. ‘After everything I’ve done for you, after all the sacrifices I’ve made. How could you betray me like that, Shari? How could you be so selfish?” Shari wrote.

“The words hit me like physical blows, but I stood my ground. [I reminded myself] that I wasn’t alone, that I had support beyond the toxic web of my family,” she continued. “‘Selfish?’ I repeated, finding strength in my voice. ‘I was worried about the kids. They were alone for five days, Mom. Five days!’”

Ruby Franke’s daughter Shari claims her mother acused her of needing ‘attention’ when Shari called CPS to protect her siblings
Ruby Franke’s daughter Shari claims her mother acused her of needing ‘attention’ when Shari called CPS to protect her siblings (@momsoftruth / sharifranke / Instagram)

According to Shari, her mother snapped at her and said her children were “fine,” saying they were “old enough to take care of themselves.” Ruby accused her daughter of being “jealous” and needing “attention,” Shari wrote.

“I felt a bubble of hysterical laughter rise in my throat. How could she twist this around, make it about me? But then, wasn’t that always her way?

“‘This isn’t about me,’ I said, my voice steadier than I felt. ‘It’s about the safety of my siblings. It’s about doing what’s right.’”

Shari – who announced her engagement last week – went on to detail how her mother responded to her remark, claiming “Ruby’s eyes flashed dangerously.” She then told her daughter that she “had no idea what’s right.”

“‘You’re just a child playing at being an adult. Your siblings are terrified of you now for calling the police on them,’” Ruby told Shari, according to the book. “Ruby’s face hardened, her lips twisting into a sneer. ‘One day, Shari, you’ll come crawling back to me. Begging for my forgiveness. And it’ll be hard for me to give it to you, but I’ll be gracious.’”

Shari said she told her mother she was “not going to apologize for telling the truth” and began to cry.

“‘Ever since you were five years old, I could see it in your eyes. The way you looked at me, the way you judged me. You’ve never appreciated everything I’ve done for you, all the sacrifices I’ve made,’” Ruby allegedly said.

Shari recalled her response, writing: ‘That’s not true,’ I choked. ‘I never hated you, Mom. I was just scared of you.’

After Ruby was arrested in 2023, she admitted to several horrific acts, as shown in a statement filed in court to support her guilty pleas, which said she abused two of her children from May 22 2023 until her arrest. She said that she tried to convince two of her children that they were evil and possessed and that the “punishments” were a form of repentance. She described the abuse as “acts of love.”

Traumatic details revealed that she forced her son into long physical tasks outside in summer without shoes or adequate water, leaving him with “repeated and serious sunburns.” He was also denied sufficient food, and when he was given food, they were very plain meals while the rest of the household got more flavourful food, the plea agreement said.

In February 2024, Ruby was handed four one to 15-year sentences in prison, one for each of the four counts of child abuse to which she pleaded guilty in December 2023. However, she and Hildebrandt will only serve up to 30 years in prison due to a Utah state law that caps the sentence duration for consecutive penalties. The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole will consider their behavior while incarcerated and determine how much of that time each will spend behind bars.

In October 2024, Shari spoke to the Utah House of Representatives about protecting child influencers. “I don’t come today as the daughter of a felon, nor a victim of an abnormally abusive mother. I come today as a victim of family vlogging,” she told the Business and Labor Interim Committee.

“It is more than just filming your family life and putting it online. It is a full-time job, with employees, business credit cards, managers, and marketing strategies,” Shari said. “Some of our most popular videos were when my eyebrow was accidentally waxed off, and the whole world saw a crying teenager who just wanted to mourn in private.”

She explained that social media quickly became her family’s primary source of income. In terms of the compensation she received, she mentioned a “$100 shopping spree” for filming an embarrassing moment or going on a family vacation.

“If I could go back and do it all again, I’d rather have an empty bank account now and not have my childhood plastered all over the internet. No amount of money I received has made what I’ve experienced worth it,” she continued.

In a recent interview with Shari Franke, she opened up about the difficult decision to contact child protective services regarding her mother Ruby Franke’s parenting. Shari shared that she had a heart-to-heart conversation with her mom after making the call, expressing her concerns and emphasizing the importance of putting the children’s well-being first.

In a candid moment, Shari revealed that she told her mom that she had to prioritize the safety and happiness of the children, even if it meant taking drastic measures. She explained that while it was a tough decision to make, she felt it was necessary to ensure the children were in a safe and nurturing environment.

Shari emphasized that her intention was not to cause harm or create tension within the family, but rather to address the issues at hand and work towards a resolution that would benefit everyone involved. She expressed her hope that her mother would understand and appreciate her actions in the long run.

Overall, Shari’s honesty and bravery in speaking out about her decision to contact child protective services shed light on the complexities of family dynamics and the importance of advocating for the well-being of children. It serves as a reminder that sometimes tough choices need to be made in order to protect those who are most vulnerable.

  • Cameron Ward’s halftime exit of bowl game was always Miami’s plan — not that it told anyone

Cameron Ward’s halftime exit of bowl game was always Miami’s plan — not that it told anyone

Cameron Ward’s halftime exit from the Pop-Tarts Bowl created a media firestorm.

Everyone from Ringer NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay to College Football Hall of Fame head coach Steve Spurrier criticized the move, joining thousands of others on social media as Ward stood on the sidelines during the second half a 42-41 loss to Iowa State. From one perspective, it looked like a snap decision to opt out.

Ward playing a half or a quarter was the plan all along behind the scenes at Miami, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Ward wanted to play, setting Division I career records for passing touchdowns (158) in the process. And Miami wanted to look at his backup quarterback Emory Williams for an extended period to see what it could have for the 2025 season.

Thus, both were always supposed to see time in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

“(It was) first quarter to a half max and turn the keys over to Emory for the second half,” a source said. “As they did.”

That plan wasn’t communicated publicly by Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal, who added fuel to the fire postgame by declining to comment on the situation.

“I think all meetings with players and decisions like that, we should make them in private and keep them in private,” Cristobal said.

Miami always intended to get a longer look at Williams. After he went 5 for 14 with an interception as Miami squandered a 31-28 halftime lead, it appears the fact-finding mission has paid off. Miami, which already went after Washington State QB John Mateer earlier in the cycle, is expected to pursue other options at quarterbackreports David Lake of 247Sports’ Inside the U. Though rolling with Williams in 2025 remains an option.

There was talk that Ward only wanted to play in the game to break Case Keenum’s D-I all-time passing touchdown record, which he did in with 4:12 in the first quarter with a four-yard pass to Jacolby George. But Ward, a possible No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, did not exit the game at that point. He played four more series, helping the Hurricanes secure a halftime lead.

Still, the discourse surrounding the game centered almost solely on Ward exiting the game early despite several other Hurricanes starters sitting out the game and every top quarterback draft pick from last season (Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels) opting out of their bowl game. Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, Ward’s competition to be QB1 in the 2025 NFL Draft, played the entirety of the Buffaloes’ loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl.

By any measure, Ward’s story is one of the most successful no-star to college superstar narratives in college football history. It ends with an odd twist of the narrative.

MORE: An insider look at Miami’s QB options in 2025, according to 247Sports

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cameron Ward’s unexpected halftime exit during the team’s recent bowl game has left fans scratching their heads. However, it turns out that his early departure was actually part of Miami’s game plan all along.

According to sources close to the team, Miami had decided prior to the game that Ward would only play the first half, regardless of the score or his performance. The decision was made in order to give their backup quarterback some valuable playing time and experience in a high-pressure situation.

While some fans may have been surprised by Ward’s early exit, it was all part of Miami’s strategy to prepare their team for future success. And although they may not have publicly announced their plans, it seems that the Hurricanes had it all figured out from the start.
