The Weeknd’s ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Is No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart
The Weeknd lands his fifth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the debut of Hurry Up Tomorrow atop the tally (dated Feb. 15). The set earned 490,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 6, according to Luminate. That marks the largest week for any album since Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department debuted at No. 1 on the May 4, 2024-dated chart with 2.61 million. Hurry Up Tomorrow logs the biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album since Travis Scott’s Utopia debuted at No. 1 on the Aug. 12, 2023, chart with 496,000.

The Weeknd previously topped the chart with After Hours (2020), My Dear Melancholy (2018), Starboy (2016) and Beauty Behind the Madness (2015).
Also in the latest top 10, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess surges 14-6 following her best new artist win at the Grammy Awards (Feb. 2), while Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft (10-5) also climbs in the wake of Grammy exposure.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Feb. 15, 2025-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Feb. 11. Of Hurry Up Tomorrow’s 490,500 first-week equivalent album units, album sales comprise 359,000 (it debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 130,500 (equaling 171.5 million on-demand official streams of the songs on the streaming edition of the album; it debuts at No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums) and TEA units comprise 1,000.
Hurry Up Tomorrow’s launch of 490,500 units marks The Weeknd’s biggest week by units earned (since the chart began measuring in units in December 2014). The set’s sales of 359,000 claim The Weeknd’s largest sales week ever.
The set was released as a nine-song standard album, widely available through digital download retailers. It was alternatively available as an 11-song edition across all of its physical formats (CD, vinyl and cassette) and a 22-track digital download and streaming edition. It was also available in two further digital download editions, both exclusively sold via The Weeknd’s HurryUpTomorrow.Club site. Each sold for $4.99, boasted alternative cover art and had the 22 tracks available on the deluxe digital/streaming edition, but each had at least one additional track. One included “Closing Night,” with Swedish House Mafia. The other included “Runaway” and “Society,” which were also included on all of the physical formats, but not any of the other digital or streaming editions.
In total, the album generated 183,000 in digital album sales; 99,000 in CD sales; 77,000 in vinyl sales (The Weeknd’s best week on vinyl) and 1,000 in cassette sales.
Hurry Up Tomorrow’s first-week sales were aided by its availability across eight vinyl variants (including a signed edition), eight CD variants (including multiple signed editions), a cassette tape, and nine deluxe boxed sets containing a branded piece of clothing and a CD.
The album was preceded by the Billboard Hot 100-charting songs “Timeless” (with Playboi Carti, No. 3 peak last October) and “Sao Paulo” (with Anitta, No. 77 last November).
Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos falls 1-2 on the Billboard 200 with 94,000 equivalent album units earned (down 20%). SZA’s chart-topping SOS slips 2-3 with 82,000 (down 6%), Kendrick Lamar’s GNX dips 3-4 with 65,000 (though up 9%) and Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft jumps 10-5 with 53,000 (up 47%).
Eilish was the first performer on the Feb. 2 Grammy Awards broadcast (on CBS), singing the album’s “Birds of a Feather.” Also on the show: The Weeknd performed (singing his new album’s “Cry for Me” and “Timeless,” with Playboi Carti), while SZA presented the best pop duo/group performance, and Lamar won two on-air trophies (for record of the year, and song of the year, both for “Not Like Us”).
Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess surges 14-6 with a 56% gain — to 49,000 equivalent album units earned. The album vaults up the tally following Roan’s win for best new artist at the Grammys, along with her performance of the album’s “Pink Pony Club” on the show (and her buzzy acceptance speech which generated headlines).
Sabrina Carpenter’s former No. 1 Short n’ Sweet gaind 20% (up to 48,000 equivalent album units) but is pushed down a spot to No. 7. On the Grammy Awards, Carpenter won the best pop vocal album award, while also performing a medley of the album’s “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” (She also won best pop solo performance for “Espresso,” but that category was presented before the television broadcast began.)
Morgan Wallen’s chart-topping One Thing at a Time drops 5-8 on the Billboard 200, despite an 11% gain (to 45,000 equivalent album units). Taylor Swift’s former No. 1 The Tortured Poets Department ascends 11-9 with 38,000 equivalent album units (up 8%) — also likely basking in some glow from the Grammy Awards, where the album and its “Fortnight” single were up for six awards (though did not win). Swift was a visible presence throughout the ceremony, cheering on winners and performers, and presented the best country album trophy to Beyoncé (for Cowboy Carter).
Rounding out the latest top 10 on the Billboard 200 is Gracie Abrams’ The Secret of Us, falling 8-10 with 36,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%).
Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published.

Marvel fans, prepare for launch. The first footage from The Fantastic Four: First Steps has come online, ahead of the official trailer tomorrow.
Before ABC revealed that the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps would premiere on Good Morning America on February 4 — which can conveniently be written as F4, the Fantastic Four’s logo — fans had speculated that the trailer might debut during the upcoming Super Bowl on Feb. 9. It had previously been reported that Disney had bought two ad spots for upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. At this time, it remains unclear which MCU movies will be promoted at the Super Bowl, although Marvel Studios also has Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* coming out this year, with the former set to hit theaters just a few days after the highly-watched football championship game. Marvel Studios and director Matt Shakman have assembled an A-list cast for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, with Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing) set to portray Marvel’s First Family. Their casting was first announced by Marvel Studios on Valentine’s Day.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.

In keeping with the police department’s commitment to be innovative in its mission to enhance Nashville’s safety, Chief John Drake today announced the implementation of an additional overlapping officer work shift effective February 1 to enhance police visibility during peak hours and reduce response time for non-emergency calls.
“The new D-shift, to be staffed by a total of 41 officers, 5 sergeants and 1 lieutenant, will operate 7 days a week between the hours of noon and 10:30 p.m.,” Chief Drake said. “D-shift officers will have the flexibility to provide additional resources to any of our 8 precincts across the county, particularly those that have a higher volume of pending calls.”
Officers comprising the D-shift had been part of precinct-based community engagement teams, which continue to be fully operational, just with fewer personnel. Chief Drake noted that community engagement will always be one of the MNPD’s core pillars.
The new D-shift will provide for 4 overlapping shifts on a daily basis:
- Day Detail (A-shift): 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Evening Detail (B-shift): 3 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Overnight Detail (C-shift): 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Afternoon/Evening Detail (D-shift): noon-10:30 p.m.
The D-shift will be led by Lieutenant Brad Nave. Considering regular days off, vacations, sick leave, in-service training, etc., the D-shift will operate with a minimum staffing of 18 officers plus supervisors. Besides supporting precincts with a high call volume, D shift officers will also assist in securing large crime scenes, respond to demonstrations/protests, and support other precision policing efforts.
Attention all department members,I am pleased to announce that starting tomorrow, we will be implementing a new additional officer work shift to better serve our community. This decision comes in response to the increasing demands and calls for service that our department has been receiving.
The new shift will provide us with more coverage during peak hours and help us maintain a proactive approach to crime prevention. Our goal is to enhance our response times and overall effectiveness in keeping our community safe.
I want to thank all of our officers for their dedication and hard work, and I am confident that this new shift will further strengthen our ability to serve and protect. Please make sure to review the updated schedule and be prepared for the changes that will take effect tomorrow.

The S&P 500 (^GSPC -0.29%) confirmed its presence in a bull market last year and has been roaring higher ever since. The index finished the year with a gain of 23% and has climbed more than 3% so far in 2025. Investors have piled into growth stocks that may benefit from a strengthening economy, favoring companies in game-changing technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing.
And this movement continues as these technologies are in the early days of their growth stories. Today’s $200 billion AI market may top $1 trillion, while quantum computing should soar from about $1 billion to more than $5 billion by the end of the decade, according to Markets and Markets data.
One of the stocks benefiting from this momentum is a leader in two growth markets — e-commerce and cloud computing — and this player also is set to win in the areas of AI and quantum computing as it offers platforms to its cloud customers. I’m talking about Amazon (AMZN -0.24%), a tech giant that’s built a solid earnings track record over time. Let’s check out three reasons to buy this top stock like there’s no tomorrow.

1. Cost structure efforts are bearing fruit.
A couple of years ago, rising inflation weighed heavily on Amazon — hurting the company’s costs and limiting its customers’ buying power. But Amazon acted wisely, using that moment as the opportunity to revamp its cost structure. This involved cutting jobs, working to make the fulfillment network as efficient as possible, and other moves.
All this helped the company shift from its first annual loss in a decade to a profit just a year later — in 2023. And today, Amazon’s earnings continue to climb as its cost-structure work bears fruit.
One decision in particular is a major one that could continue to offer Amazon savings. This is the shift to a regional fulfillment model in the U.S. from a national one — the idea is that inventory now is kept closer to the customer. This has helped reduce Amazon’s cost to serve, and by doing this, the company can continue to offer the lowest prices to keep customers coming back.
And Amazon said in its latest earnings call that it’s making moves that “will have meaningful long-term impact” on cost to serve — so more savings could be just ahead.
2. The AI investment already is boosting revenue
Amazon has gone all-in on AI, both in its e-commerce and cloud businesses. In e-commerce, it’s using tools to help gain in efficiency — for example, designing the fastest delivery routes — or helping customers and sellers on its platform. And in Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud business, the company has seen its efforts already lead to revenue growth.
From the start, AWS pledged to become a force in every layer of AI, from the selling of a wide variety of AI chips to customers building a platform from scratch to offering a fully managed service that allows customers to tailor existing large language models to their needs. And AWS also is present in the area of AI apps, for example offering the Amazon Q assistant for software developers. All this has helped AWS reach an annual revenue run rate of $110 billion.
So AI already is proving to be a high-growth business for Amazon.
3. Agentic AI and quantum computing could lead to a new wave of growth
And this brings me to my next point: AI growth may be far from over. AI’s initial phase involved the building out of infrastructure — that’s still going on, and AWS should continue to benefit. At the same time, a new stage of growth is beginning, involving using AI in the real world, often through AI agents.
These agents are software designed to study complex problems, reason, find a solution, and apply it. Amazon has launched Project Amelia, an AI assistant to help sellers on its platform, as one of its initial moves in this area. And AWS offers customers a platform to build their own AI agents, suited to their needs.
As for quantum computing, AWS provides customers with a variety of services, allowing them to strengthen their research and even access hardware from specialists like Rigetti Computing.
AWS already is the world’s biggest cloud services provider — so the audience for its services is there, ready, and waiting for each new launch or innovation. And as these companies pour more investment into using AI and exploring quantum computing, they’re likely to go to AWS, and this movement could supercharge Amazon’s revenue growth and the stock price in the quarters to come.

‘Lazio play like there’s no tomorrow, Casadei has potential’ as 2025 buy

Marco Baroni insists Lazio must play against Real Sociedad ‘as if there’s no tomorrow’ in the Europa League and hints at the negotiations for Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei.
It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday at 20.00 GMT.
The Biancocelesti are still top of the Europa League table after five victories and a draw and can break away tomorrow because Athletic Club, who are also on 16 points, lost 4-1 to Besiktas this evening.
“These are marvellous games against a strong opponent that has a lot of character,” said Baroni in his press conference.
“It is no coincidence that Real Sociedad have the second best defensive record in Europe’s top five leagues, this tells us how difficult it is going to be. We must face it as if there is no tomorrow. We always play to win, that is our DNA, and we need a great Lazio to achieve that.”

“We are a bit short at the back, but I have the utmost faith in my squad,” assured Baroni.
“This is an important step, as it could guarantee us passage into the Round of 16. I want to remind everyone that this season is the start of a renewal process, so the team has to be young and with prospects.
“The Europa League is an extraordinary tournament and we want to be protagonists in every competition. It is an opportunity and we want to leave nothing to chance.”
Nuno Tavares had a remarkable start to life at Lazio, but has slightly lost his intensity recently after injury problems.
“Nuno is fine, he is recovering well and just has to keep that joy of playing. We have faith in the lad, he has a great chance with us and we are here to support him. Pedro and Tijjani Noslin have also recovered and can give us an important contribution starting from tomorrow.”
Lazio are known to be in a bidding war with Torino for Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei, so would he be a suitable January reinforcement for Baroni’s squad?
“I am not going to name names right now. Clearly, I already explained to the director what our aims are, we need to bring in energy and fresh enthusiasm. When talking about players with potential, naturally this is who Lazio needs to look for.
“My focus anyway is on the players I have at my disposal.”
