The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills battle in the final NFL Divisional Round game on Sunday, Jan. 19, at Highmark Stadium to determine who gets the final spot in the AFC Championship Game. Kickoff for Ravens-Bills is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET; the game will be broadcast on CBS.
Beyond NFL spreads and total bets, I’m looking at Ravens vs. Bills anytime touchdown scorers — I have one pick for each team on Sunday night.

Isaiah Likely Anytime TD (+400)
The Ravens and Bills met during the regular season — it was a one-sided contest that saw Ravens RB Derrick Henry shred the Bills for 199 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
While I expect an improved gameplan from the Bills, there’s only so much they can do to contain Henry. That’s why he’s up to -230 to score a touchdown.
This is why I’m not as high on Baltimore’s pass-catchers to score — the Ravens likely won’t need to throw unless they’re in a trailing game script. And when they get to the red-zone, Henry has dominated and carried the ball on 92% of all carries inside the 10-yard line.
The one Ravens pass-catcher I would consider, however, is TE Isaiah Likely at +400. Likely had more targets than Mark Andrews in the Wild Card game and the TE2 may need to be utilized more once again with WR Zay Flowers likely sidelined.
As I mentioned with the Ravens’ rushing attack, this could mean Likely sees the field more in two-TE sets to help establish the run for Henry. Likely played over 80% of snaps in the Wild Card game, and with the Bills playing zone defense at a higher rate than league average, he could see more targets underneath to chew up yards and also be a big target for Lamar Jackson in the end zone.
Amari Cooper Anytime TD (+500)
While Likely has me intrigued, my eyes lit up when I saw Amari Cooper at +500.
The former All-Pro hasn’t been as impactful in Buffalo with only two receiving TDs. Still, he Cooper is a veteran who has the ability to make plays outside against a man-heavy Ravens defense.
Another reason why I expect him to be utilized more? The Ravens’ run defense is no joke. Josh Allen may rush the ball at times to extend drives, but I’m not expecting RB James Cook to be effective in this one.
When these teams played in September, the Bills’ running game was non-existent and totaled 81 yards on 23 carries. The Ravens ranked first during the regular season with only 80.1 rushing yards allowed per game — only Saquon Barkley ran for over 100 yards on them all season.
The value in this game is on Bills pass-catchers, which is why I’m drawn to Cooper in this spot. Even the Steelers managed two touchdowns last week to outside options — WR George Pickens and WR Van Jefferson — so that’s where I expect the Bills to be busy. The Ravens allowed 27 passing TDs this season, with 18 of those to WRs.

And beyond the Lions’ clear-as-day offensive dominance, now and then, we get to see something more nuanced about why teams like the Chicago Bears and Tom Brady (cough, cough) are so interested in the genius coach’s services.
For one, Johnson has managed to make trick plays with Lions offensive linemen catching passes so threatening that the opposing defense is forced to respect them as real threats. On Saturday night, right before an electric one-handed Sam LaPorta touchdown, the Washington Commanders simply had to take extra offensive lineman Dan Skipper seriously as a receiver.
So much so that linebackers Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu double-covered Skipper, giving LaPorta and Jared Goff a clean receiving/throwing lane. Just watch No. 54 and No. 4 run with the Lions’ No. 70 below.
If you wanted more obvious evidence about Johnson’s coaching credentials, you won’t come across a better play than this. Whichever team gets Johnson as its head coach soon will be very lucky.
Ben Johnson, the offensive line coach for the Detroit Lions, has been making waves in the NFL with his innovative coaching techniques. In a recent game against the Green Bay Packers, Johnson’s work with the Lions offensive line was on full display as they were double-covered on a touchdown play.
The Lions offensive line, which has been a weakness in seasons past, has been transformed into a dominant force under Johnson’s guidance. Their strength and cohesion were evident as they pushed back the Packers’ defensive line, creating a wide-open lane for the Lions running back to score a touchdown.
Johnson’s ability to instill confidence and technique in his players has made the Lions offensive line a force to be reckoned with. Opposing teams are now forced to double-cover the Lions offensive line, a testament to the impact that Johnson has had on the team.
With Johnson at the helm, the Lions offensive line has become a force to be reckoned with, and it’s clear that they will continue to be a dominant force in the NFL for seasons to come.

Nate Wiggins was a first-round pick and a big reason why the Baltimore Ravens defense has been one of the NFL’s best over the past seven weeks.
The former Clemson cornerback has been a stud as a rookie and scored his first NFL touchdown, returning a Bailey Zappe interception 26 yards for a touchdown.
In a thrilling matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans, Nate Wiggins made a game-changing play that electrified the crowd and swung the momentum in favor of the Ravens.
With the Texans driving down the field in the second quarter, quarterback Bailey Zappe dropped back to pass. But Wiggins had other plans. The rookie cornerback read Zappe’s eyes perfectly, jumped the route, and intercepted the pass intended for the receiver.
Wiggins wasted no time in showcasing his speed and agility as he weaved through traffic and sprinted 26 yards to the end zone, leaving the Texans’ offense stunned and the Ravens’ fans roaring with excitement.
The interception return for a touchdown not only put the Ravens on the scoreboard but also ignited a fire in the defense that would propel them to a dominant performance for the rest of the game. Wiggins’ play was a testament to his skill, instincts, and playmaking ability, and it solidified his status as a rising star in the league.
As the Ravens celebrated the touchdown and the momentum swung in their favor, one thing was clear: Nate Wiggins had made his mark on the game and proven that he was a force to be reckoned with in the NFL.

Sterling Sharpe, former NFL wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, has finally been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after years of being overlooked by the selection committee. Sharpe, who played for the Packers from 1988 to 1994, was known for his exceptional talent on the field and his ability to make game-changing plays.
Sharpe’s career was cut short due to a neck injury, but in his short time in the NFL, he left a lasting impact on the game. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a three-time First Team All-Pro. In 1992, he led the league in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, becoming the first player in NFL history to lead in all three categories in the same season.
Despite his impressive statistics and accolades, Sharpe had been passed over for Hall of Fame induction for years. Many believed that his career was too short to warrant consideration, but his supporters argued that his impact on the game was undeniable.
Finally, in 2021, Sharpe received the call he had been waiting for. He was informed that he had been selected for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of the greatest players in NFL history.
Sharpe’s induction was a long time coming, and it was a momentous occasion for both him and his fans. His brother, former NFL player Shannon Sharpe, was on hand to present him with his Hall of Fame jacket and welcome him into the exclusive club of football legends.
In his induction speech, Sharpe thanked his family, teammates, and coaches for their support throughout his career. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play the game he loved and to make a lasting impact on the sport.
Sharpe’s Hall of Fame induction was a touchdown for the ages, a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional talent and contributions to the game. As he takes his place among the greatest players in NFL history, Sharpe’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations of football players and fans.

The Detroit Lions are the most aggressive team in the NFL when it comes to going for it on fourth down, and that’s something they’ve shown plenty of in the Week 17 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Through three quarters of the “Monday Night Football” contest, the Lions went for it on fourth down two times, with their first attempt failing. However, the Lions gave it another crack on fourth down in the third quarter and managed to convert.
Facing a fourth-and-goal from the four-yard line, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson dialed up a pass from quarterback Jared Goff to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, which found pay dirt to give the Lions a 31-28 lead.
After the successful conversion, the television broadcast showed a shot of 49ers general manager John Lynch, who was clearly livid that his team allowed the touchdown and even slammed his fist against the table.
The Lions have angered a lot of people with their style of play this season, whether it be a result of their aggressiveness on fourth downs or their trick plays that have often trolled opponents.
Some people will question the aggressive nature head coach Dan Campbell and the Lions play with, but that’s not going to change anytime soon. Detroit has supreme confidence in its offense, and rightly so, as it’s one of the best units in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers suffered a devastating blow in their game against the Detroit Lions as the Lions converted a crucial fourth down for a touchdown, leaving 49ers GM John Lynch furious.
In a post-game press conference, Lynch expressed his frustration and disappointment with his team’s inability to stop the Lions on such a critical play. The touchdown ultimately proved to be the deciding factor in the game, leading to a heartbreaking loss for the 49ers.
Lynch vowed to address the team’s defensive lapses and work towards improving their performance in crucial situations moving forward. The loss serves as a wake-up call for the 49ers as they strive to bounce back and prove themselves as a top contender in the league.
Stay tuned for more updates on the 49ers and their quest for redemption after this tough loss. #49ers #JohnLynch #Lions #NFL #football #sportsnews

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (5) threw the winning score to Zach Ertz. (AP Photo/Nick Wass)
The quarterback class from the 2024 NFL Draft was already one of the stories of this season. And it keeps getting better.
Jayden Daniels got the win on Sunday night, sending the Washington Commanders to the playoffs. And that usually would be enough that he wouldn’t have to share the spotlight. But the other rookie quarterback in the game, Michael Penix Jr. of the Atlanta Falcons, was also fantastic in rallying his team to overtime with a great game-tying drive in regulation.
Daniels’ season will definitely be continuing into the postseason. The Commanders clinched a playoff berth with the overtime 30-24 win. Washington won the coin toss to start overtime and took the first drive into the end zone to end the game before Penix ever had a chance to get a possession. Daniels looked like a veteran in moving his team downfield in a pressure situation. On third-and-goal, Daniels hit Zach Ertz for a 2-yard touchdown for the walk-off win. The win also clinched the NFC West title for the Los Angeles Rams due to tiebreakers.
The Falcons now need help to win the NFC South. Atlanta needs to beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 18 while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to the New Orleans Saints to make the playoffs as the division champion.
The silver lining for the Falcons in a loss that likely will cost them a shot at the division title was that they should have a lot of excitement over their quarterback going forward. All five first-round rookie quarterbacks who have started games have had flashes of brilliance or in Daniels’ case, a historic rookie season. The question for Falcons coach Raheem Morris in the offseason might be why he didn’t pull the plug on Kirk Cousins and turn to Penix sooner.
Falcons take lead into halftime
The first half wasn’t about either rookie quarterback. It was about Bijan Robinson and the Falcons defense.
Robinson had 82 rushing yards before halftime and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Falcons defense did a solid job of stopping Washington’s run game and limiting Jayden Daniels. The Commanders scored just once in the first half and trailed 17-7 at halftime.
That changed quickly in the second half. Daniels started running more and the Commanders’ offense came alive. Washington scored quickly, on a Daniels touchdown pass to Zach Ertz, and the Falcons’ lead was down to 17-14. The Commanders offense stayed hot on its next drive, and Chris Rodriguez Jr. scored on a 2-yard touchdown run to give Washington the lead early in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons offense couldn’t get in any rhythm, because they couldn’t keep any drives going and Daniels and the Commanders rarely let them have the ball. By the time the Commanders had extended their lead to 24-17, the Commanders had run 39 second-half plays to just nine for Atlanta, and Washington had a 20:20 to 5:08 edge in time of possession.
It looked like the Commanders had taken over the game and would escape with a win behind Daniels’ great second half. But Penix wasn’t backing down.
Falcons tie it late in 4th
The Falcons trailed 24-17 in a game they likely needed in the NFC South race, and that’s not a great spot for a rookie in his second career start. But Penix never looked like he was in just his second start.
Penix was impressive in driving the Falcons downfield in the final minutes, including a big fourth-and-11 completion to Drake London for 31 yards. But on first-and-goal a direct snap to Robinson was high and mishandled, and even though Robinson recovered he was tackled at the 26-yard line, putting Atlanta in a ridiculous second-and-goal position. But the rookie completed a 13-yard pass to London on second down and a 13-yard touchdown to Kyle Pitts on fourth down to tie it with 1:19 to go.
Daniels was excellent in the second half, as he has been most of the season. But in that crucial drive the Falcons learned a lot about their own rookie quarterback.
Daniels threw a nice pass to Olamide Zaccheaus on third down but Zaccheaus dropped it and the Commanders punted, giving the ball right back to the Falcons with less than a minute to go. Penix rallied the team downfield and with two seconds left he escaped the rush and threw downfield, which led to a pass interference call on the Commanders. That gave the Falcons a shot at a field goal as time expired. But Riley Patterson’s 56-yard attempt was short and the game went to overtime.
The Commanders got the ball first and Daniels continued to make plays. He had a great scramble for a first down on a crucial third-and-two. The drive kept moving inside the 10-yard line. The Commanders faced a third-and-goal from the 2-yard line, knowing a touchdown would clinch a playoff spot. Daniels hit Ertz for the touchdown, and Washington got one of its biggest wins in years.
Washington is heading to the playoffs. It seems like the rookie quarterback class of 2024 has plenty of postseason berths in its future.
Live37 updates
Jayden Daniels to Zach Ertz, to the Playoffs!
The Commanders are in. Jayden Daniels — 24-of-36 for 227 yards and three touchdowns through the air. 16 carries 127 yards on the ground and breaking the NFL’s rookie rushing yardage record. A brilliant night by Daniels who’s on his way to the playoffs and probably the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Also, the L.A. Rams are in the playoffs with the Falcons’ loss.
Jayden Daniels went over 100 rushing yards with that 3rd down rush
It’s his first 100-yard game in the NFL.
Daniels scrambles for 16 on third down
Just a brilliant run by a brilliant rookie in a huge moment.
Washington on the move after winning the toss
The Commanders are getting it on the ground over the first couple of plays with Jayden Daniels and Brian Robinson doing the lifting on the ground.
Playoff tie-breaking notes for overtime
If the game should end in a tie, the Commanders (10-5-1 with a tie) would clinch a wild-card playoff berth and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7) would then go into the driver’s seat in the NFC South, just needing a Week 18 win to win the division over the Falconswho would enter Week 18 at 8-7-1, and need a Bucs loss to win the division.
Riley Patterson comes up short from 56 yards to end regulation
It would have been a career-best for Patterson, who is in for the injured Younghoe Koo, and the game heads to overtime.
Two late Commanders penalties get Atlanta in field goal range
Twelve penalties for 103 yards for Washington tonight. Michael Davis gets flagged for the pass interference, after a neutral zone infraction foul moved the ball up five yards
Falcons near midfield with two timeouts and 12 seconds to play
Atlanta could have used a timeout after a long completion with just under 30 seconds, but elected not to
Washington goes 3-and-out in 29 seconds and now has to punt with just under a minute to play
And now the Falcons will get the ball back with 40 seconds, deep in their own end with two timeouts, and a chance to win the game with a field goal.
PENIX TO PITTS on 4th down for the TD!!!
Brilliant by the rookie QB for his first NFL touchdown pass on a 4th and goal and Atlanta ties it with 1:19 to go.
Falcons lose 21 after botched wildcat snap at the two-minute warning
The ball sailed over Bijan Robinson’s head, dealing a huge blow to Atlanta, who’ll have a 2nd and goal at the 26-yard-line and need a touchdown and PAT to tie the game at 24. A terrible mistake for the Falcons’ comeback effort.
Falcons pick up HUGE 4th and 11
A questionable holding call got the Falcons behind the sticks, but Michael Penix Jr. found Drake London for 31 yards to the 19-yard-line.
Falcons pick up a first down
Drake London to midfield on a 3rd down to keep the drive going with 4:08 to play
Commanders settle for a field goal
The Commanders had a touchdown come off the board after a holding call, and despite a 2nd and goal on the 1-yard-line, they’ll take a 7-point lead at 24-17. The second half has still been a dominant blowout by the Commanders, who’ve had the ball for 39 plays over 20:20 for 191 yards against the Falcons. Atlanta has run nine second-half plays and gained 14 yards.
Jayden Daniels writes his name in NFL history with the most rushing yards by a rookie QB in NFL history
Daniels passed former Washington quarterback — and fellow Heisman Trophy winner — Robert Griffin III, whose old record was 815 yards.
Falcons forced to punt after a first down
Dante Fowler is wrecking the game on defense. He’s been in Michael Penix Jr.’s face for a bunch of the night, and his pressure forced a huge incompletion. Now, with just over 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter — and Washington coming off back-to-back long drives — the Falcons’ defense needs a big stop to stay in the game.
Chris Rodriguez finishes the drive for the Commanders
After 14 plays, 70 yards over 7:03 of game clock, the Commanders take a 21-17 lead. Atlanta needs anything — a first down, a big play — something to get going. Itsthe beginning of the fourth quarter and Washington has run 29 plays to Atlanta’s three in the second half.
End 3rd quarter: Falcons 17, Commanders 14
Washington ran 25 plays and gained 145 yards in the quarter, while the Falcons ran just three plays and for a total of -1 yard. The two methodical Washington drives have worn down the Atlanta defense and the Commanders are in the red zone, knocking on the door again, with a chance to take a lead to open the 4th quarter.

Commanders bag another 4th down conversion
Jayden Daniels finds Jeremy McNichols, who turned in a tremendous effort to pick up this first down. Washington is now 3-for-3 on 4th down attempts tonight.
Jayden Daniels turns in a spectacular run
The Washington Commanders secured their spot in the playoffs with a thrilling walk-off touchdown pass in overtime to defeat the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Taylor Heinicke connected with wide receiver Terry McLaurin for a game-winning 25-yard touchdown, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
The Commanders overcame a late fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime, with Heinicke leading a game-tying drive with less than a minute remaining. The defense also came up big, forcing a turnover on downs in the final minutes to give the offense a chance to win the game.
The victory not only clinched a playoff spot for the Commanders, but also kept their hopes alive for a division title. With just one game remaining in the regular season, Washington is poised to make some noise in the postseason.
Fans were elated by the team’s resilience and never-say-die attitude, and are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for their playoff-bound Commanders. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as Washington looks to make a deep playoff run. #Commanders #PlayoffsBound #WalkOffTouchdown

The Falcons had three plays for minus-1 yard in the third quarter and the Commanders 25 plays for 145 yards.
Chris Rodriguez’s 2-yard touchdown run with 13:03 remaining in the fourth quarter gave Washington the four-point advantage. Jayden Daniels threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz to start the scoring in the second half.
On their 14-play, 70-yard, go-ahead drive, the Commanders went for it on fourth-and-5 from the Atlanta 39. Daniels completed a pass to Jeremy McNichols that Jessie Bates initially had stopped short. But McNichols fought for the first down and got it to keep the drive going.

The Buffalo Bills have fielded two Hall of Fame running backs during the franchise’s long and rich history. Yet it’s a quarterback who now sits in a tie for the franchise record for career touchdown runs.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen ran for his 65th career touchdown in Week 17, tying him for the franchise record with Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas. Thomas, the league’s MVP in 1991, helped the Bills become the first franchise to play in four consecutive Super Bowls from 1990-93.
Allen already made history on the ground this season, as he recently passed four Hall of Fame running backs (Terrell Davis, O.J. Simpson, Lenny Moore and Larry Csonka) on the career touchdown run list. The only quarterback with more career touchdown runs than Allen is Cam Newton, the 2015 league MVP ran for 75 scores during his 11-year career.
Last year, Allen and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts tied each other for the single-season record for most touchdown runs in one season for a quarterback with 15. This season, Allen became the first quarterback in history with multiple years with at least 25 touchdown passes and 10 touchdown runs.
Allen has done all of this despite playing most of this season with a broken left hand. His play this season has led the Bills to a fifth consecutive AFC East division title. It may also lead to the 28-year-old’s first league MVP. Allen is in a close race for that award with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is in pursuit of his third MVP trophy.
In a thrilling Week 17 matchup against the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen made history by tying Thurman Thomas’ franchise rushing touchdown record. Allen’s impressive performance on the ground helped lead the Bills to a crucial victory as they clinched a playoff spot.
Allen’s ability to make plays with his legs has been a key component of his success throughout the season, and his performance against the Jets was no exception. With his rushing touchdown in the game, Allen now has 19 career rushing touchdowns, tying him with Bills legend Thurman Thomas for the most in franchise history.
As Allen continues to establish himself as one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league, his ability to contribute in the running game sets him apart from his peers. His record-tying performance against the Jets was just another example of his impact on the field and his importance to the Bills’ success.
With the playoffs on the horizon, Allen’s versatility and playmaking ability will be crucial for the Bills as they look to make a deep postseason run. Congratulations to Josh Allen on this historic achievement and here’s to many more memorable moments to come. #GoBills #JoshAllen #ThurmanThomas #PlayoffsBound
According to NFL Research, Rodgers and Adams have scored 82 touchdowns and are tied with Dan Marino and Mark Clayton for the third-most TD connections by a QB-WR duo in NFL history, including playoffs. Only Manning and Marvin Harrison (114) and Steve Young and Jerry Rice (92) have connected for more touchdowns.
From their eight seasons together in Green Bay and now in New York, Adams is appreciative of Rodgers’ career and praised the 41-year-old along the QB’s 20th season.
“We’ve had some special connections in the past, so it’d be great,” Adams said. “And, obviously, it would be a big, big thing for him. Not that he needs more accolades and more milestones, but you might as well keep racking them up while you can.”
The duo will look to rack up some more touchdowns on Sunday and in the regular season-finale against the Miami Dolphins.
I’m not even a Green Bay Packers fan, but it would be dope to catch QB Aaron Rodgers’ 500th career passing touchdown. The man is a legend on the field and watching him reach this incredible milestone would be a moment to remember. Whether you’re a Packers fan or not, you have to appreciate the talent and skill that Rodgers brings to the game. So here’s to hoping that lucky fan who catches that historic touchdown pass knows just how special of a moment they were a part of. Go Pack go! #AaronRodgers #500thTouchdown #NFLLegends
