Matisse Thybulle Remains Out For Trail Blazers
4 days agoPortland Trail Blazers guard/forward Matisse Thybulle (ankle) will remain sidelined for Tuesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. He has yet to feature this season due to a right ankle injury, and it remains unclear when Thybulle will be ready to hit the court. The two-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team member would give a boost to Portland’s struggling defense, but Thybulle is not a good fantasy asset. The 27-year-old has averaged 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals for his NBA career.

Matisse Thybulle Remains Out For Trail Blazers – NBA NewsThe Portland Trail Blazers announced today that rookie guard Matisse Thybulle will continue to be sidelined with a foot injury. Thybulle, who has been out since early December, has been making progress in his recovery but is not yet ready to return to the court.
Thybulle, the 20th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, was off to a solid start to his rookie season before being sidelined with the injury. He was averaging 7.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game in 21 appearances for the Trail Blazers.
While Thybulle’s absence is certainly a blow to the Trail Blazers, the team has managed to stay competitive in his absence. They currently sit in the middle of the pack in the Western Conference standings and will look to continue their strong play as they await Thybulle’s return.
Stay tuned for more updates on Thybulle’s status and the Trail Blazers’ season as it continues to unfold.

The Portland Trail Blazers have been hit hard by injuries this season. Those injuries are part of the reason why their season has gone off the rails this season.
Despite having won five of their last six games, they haven’t been able to get any closer to making the playoffs. They are still 13th in the Western Conference standings.
Still, their young guys will continue to try to keep winning as many games as they can. Portland wants their young guys to develop for the rest of the year.
Whichever players are left once the trade deadline passes will be viewed as part of the young core that they will build around. At one point, Matisse Thybulle was thought to be a core rotational piece.

Thybulle was traded from the 76ers to the Blazers a couple of seasons ago, and he was expected to be part of their rotation for years to come because of his strong perimeter defense.
Instead, that has not been the case. Thybulle has been injured for a lot of his time in Portland. In his first season with the Blazers, he played in just 22 games. Last season, he was able to play 65, which is much better.
Thybulle has yet to play a single game this season for the Trail Blazers. He is once again on the injury report ahead of their matchup against the Magic.
Thybulle is listed as out because of a sprained ankle. It’s the same ankle injury that has cost him the whole season up to this point.
The season will continue to be a frustrating one for Thybulle. He won’t be making his season-debut in the game against Orlando.

It doesn’t look like Thybulle is going to be part of Portland’s core moving forward. If he can’t stay healthy, there is no reason for him to be figured as part of their plans in future seasons.
Thybulle is a free agent after next season. Until he gets back on the court, he has no trade value. It would be nice for Portland to add him to the mix, though.
For his career, Thybulle averages 4.8 points, two rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.

Matisse Thybulle Injury Update: Will he be playing in the Trail Blazers vs Magic game?Philadelphia 76ers’ Matisse Thybulle has been dealing with a knee injury that has kept him out of the lineup for the past few games. However, there is some good news for fans of the young guard.
According to recent reports, Thybulle has been making progress with his rehab and is considered questionable for the upcoming game against the Orlando Magic. While his status is still uncertain, there is a possibility that he could make his return to the court in this matchup.
Thybulle’s defensive prowess and energy on the court have been sorely missed by the 76ers, so his potential comeback would be a welcome sight for the team and their supporters.
Be sure to stay tuned for further updates on Matisse Thybulle’s injury status and whether he will be suiting up for the Trail Blazers vs Magic game.

The Orlando Magic (24-24) and Portland Trail Blazers (18-29) will meet in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 10:00 p.m. ET at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The game will broadcast live on NBA League Pass.
The Magic are 5.5-point favorites over the Blazers on the spread (Magic -5.5), with the over/under set at 212.5 total points. Orlando is a -205 favorite to win outright, while Portland is +170 to pull off the upset.
Let’s get into my Magic vs. Trail Blazers predictions and NBA picks for Thursday, January 30.
Magic vs. Trail Blazers Prediction, Picks
Moneyline
My Trail Blazers vs. Magic best bet is on Portland moneyline at +170, with the best line currently available at DraftKings. But as always, make sure to shop for the best line using our live NBA odds page.

I’m staying away from the total. However, I will be betting the Blazers team total Over 103.5 points as part of my same game parlay.

Magic vs. Trail Blazers Odds, Spread, Over/Under

Orlando Magic vs. Portland Trail Blazers Preview, Best Bets
Tricky game. The Magic are back to full strength offensively in terms of talent but continue to struggle to score.
The Blazers, meanwhile, are 17-9 to their team total over when they cover. I make this just under the number at Magic -4.6.
But also, when the Blazers cover, they are 17-5 straight up.
Portland is 28th in offense vs. top-10 defenses, but they’re also +1.4, second-best in spread differential vs. bottom-10 offenses per Cleaning The Glass.
Orlando is 5-6 as a road favorite this season ATS.
I don’t want to dabble in this game. If we’re going in, let’s go all the way for a smaller unit bet.

Blazers vs. Magic Betting Trends
In tonight’s highly anticipated matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Portland Trail Blazers, both teams will be looking to secure a crucial win. The Magic are currently sitting in the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Trail Blazers are fighting for a playoff spot in the tough Western Conference.Prediction:
This game is expected to be a close battle between two evenly matched teams. The Magic have been playing well recently, winning 7 of their last 10 games, while the Trail Blazers have struggled with injuries but are still a dangerous team when healthy. Ultimately, I believe the Magic will come out on top in a close game, thanks to their strong defense and balanced scoring.Pick: Orlando Magic
Odds:
The odds for this game are likely to be close, with both teams having similar records and talent levels. However, I believe the Magic will be slight favorites due to their recent form and home-court advantage.Parlay:
For a parlay bet, consider taking the Magic to win along with the under on the total points scored. This could be a low-scoring game with both teams playing tough defense, making the under a good bet.Don’t miss out on what is sure to be an exciting and competitive game between the Magic and the Trail Blazers. Tune in tonight to see which team comes out on top!

Magic at Trail Blazers picks and predictions
Prediction
Magic 110, Trail Blazers 109
Moneyline
It’s unlikely the Trail Blazers (+155) upset the Magic (-190) for a second time this season. However, I’m not interested in fading Portland in any capacity as it continues to cover game after game.
PASS. Take the points and/or bet the total instead.
Against the spread
There’s no need to overcomplicate this handicap. Portland has covered 6 straight by an average margin of 12.7 points per game. The market is not correcting fast enough for how well the Trail Blazers have been playing lately.
Orlando is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games, but was dealing with key injuries at the beginning of that stretch. In its last 3 games with both F Paolo Banchero and Wagner in the lineup, it hasn’t been much better, going just 1-2 SU/ATS.
BET TRAIL BLAZERS +4.5 (-105).
Over/Under
For the Over to hit, the Trail Blazers will likely need to score 104 or more points. Portland has scored 108 or more in 3 consecutive home games, while Orlando has allowed 109-plus in 4 straight on the road.
BET OVER 212.5 (-110).
