  • Travis Barker Pays a Visit to Incarcerated Firefighters amid L.A. Fires

Travis Barker is showing his appreciation to those on the front lines fighting the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

On Tuesday, Jan. 21, the Blink-182 drummer, 49, took to his Instagram Stories to share a series of images of himself at the Rose Bowl Complex in Pasadena, Calif., meeting up with incarcerated firefighters, National Guard members, Anti-Recidivism Coalition representatives and other first responders.

The first image, a repost from film producer and criminal justice reformer Scott Budnick, showed Barker donning a black-and-white zip-up hoodie and graphic T-shirt while sitting at a large wooden table outdoors surrounded by members of the Growlersburg Fire Crew, a division of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) that employs incarcerated individuals as firefighters.

“@travisbarker you are a real one! Thank you for stopping by and showing love as soon as they got off the fire! #growlersberg33,” Budnick captioned the aforementioned image.

In the next shot, Barker can be seen posing for a black-and-white snap with CDCR Lieutenant Hill, with the musician writing, “Thank you for having me … So much respect for you and what you do.”

In the following image, Barker appears alongside a group of National Guard members, throwing up a piece sign and captioning the image, “So much love to our National Guard for all their hard work.”

In his final story post, Barker shared a fisheye image of himself with members of the Growlersburg Fire Crew, alongside a passionate message advocating for the work the unit does with incarcerated individuals.

    CLEMENTE RUIZ/@Clemente_310

“These guys are heroes,” he wrote. “They are risking their lives to serve people. Save people. Help people. And becoming men in the process. So much love and respect to @calfire and @scottbudnick1 I love the awareness that the anti recidivism coalition is bringing to the incarcerated guys working these fires. A lot of them came from the juvenile system and this program gives them the ability for real change and to make a difference. To see the humanity in all of them was amazing.”

As of Jan. 10, the CDCR has enlisted over 800 inmates who volunteered to help fight the California wildfires, according to ABC News.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, CDCR secretary Jeff Macomber highlighted, “Wildfires are a constant and formidable challenge for California, and CDCR conservation fire camps remain dedicated to supporting the state’s response. The work of our incarcerated firefighters and staff is an essential part of this effort, and their commitment to protecting lives and property during these emergencies cannot be overstated.”

    Travis Barker’s Instagram Stories.

    CLEMENTE RUIZ/@Clemente_310

According to the CDCR, inmates are paid a daily wage between $5.80 and $10.24, plus an additional $1 per hour when they respond to active fire or fire-related emergencies. Furthermore, crews could work up to a 24-hour shift during emergencies, but are compensated during rest periods.

Barker isn’t the only celebrity who has called attention to the work that incarcerated firefighters are doing amid the ongoing wildfires.

The drummer’s sister-in-law, Kim Kardashian, has been outspoken about her belief that incarcerated firefighters deserve higher pay, calling on California Governor Gavin Newsom to “do what no Governor has done in 4 decades and raise the incarcerated firefighter pay to a rate [that] honors a human being risking their life to save our lives and homes,” per the Los Angeles Times.

Amidst the devastating wildfires raging through Los Angeles, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker took time out of his busy schedule to pay a visit to incarcerated firefighters who are helping to combat the flames.

Barker, a longtime supporter of first responders and a resident of the Los Angeles area, wanted to show his appreciation for the brave men and women who are risking their lives to protect the community.

In a touching gesture, Barker spent time talking to the incarcerated firefighters, listening to their stories, and expressing his gratitude for their efforts. He also brought along some much-needed supplies and snacks to lift their spirits during this challenging time.

In a statement, Barker said, “I am so grateful for the incredible work that these firefighters are doing to keep us safe. They are true heroes, and I wanted to show my support and let them know that their sacrifices do not go unnoticed.”

Barker’s visit was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and solidarity in times of crisis. His gesture of kindness and appreciation will surely not be forgotten by the incarcerated firefighters who are working tirelessly to protect their fellow Angelenos.

As the wildfires continue to rage on, it is heartening to see individuals like Travis Barker stepping up to support those on the front lines. Their bravery and selflessness serve as a beacon of hope in the face of adversity.

  • Chiefs Cheerleader Reveals Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Game Day Tradition

Stefanie Hill may not be cheer captain, but she surely isn’t on the bleachers!

The former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader who had been on the Super Bowl-defending squad for six seasons has experienced it all, from making four NFL Championship appearances with the team to watching Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift‘s love story unfold in real-time.

In a video shared to TikTok, Hill — whose cheer career with the Chiefs culminated with a Super Bowl victory in February 2024 — gave viewers a glimpse inside the power couple’s relationship from her perspective at games, including the sweet tradition Swift follows in support of Kelce.

Hill reminisced about the first Chiefs game Swift went to on Sept. 24 at the time romance rumors started to swirl with the football player at the beginning of the 2023-2024 season.

“The very first game she ever attended, I almost pooped myself when I was in that corner,” she jokingly recalled in the TikTok posted in September 2024. At the time, she thought, “I don’t know how to do my job right now because I have to watch the game, lead the chants and cheers and dances.”

But with one of the biggest superstars on the planet in the crowd watching the field, Hill admitted her concentration was thrown off. She recalled thinking, “I physically can not focus because I’m like, ‘That is Taylor Swift!’”

To make matters even more stressful for the Chiefs cheerleader, she says the squad decided to use one of the routines she came up with for the games. “We performed my choreography in the end zone. I looked up and no joke, she was on the screen and she was clapping,” Hill says of Swift.

“And I was like, ‘She just watched our team dance and is now applauding and she liked my choreography,’” she continues to recall in disbelief. “If she didn’t like it, she wouldn’t have clapped. So that was pretty cool.”

Then, Hill revealed what Swift would do to support Kelce after games. Being that the Chiefs Cheerleader locker rooms were right next to the athlete locker rooms, she had a clear view of player interactions.

“All those pictures of her game day outfits walking down red tunnels in Arrowhead [Stadium] are right next to the players’ locker rooms, which is right next door to the Chiefs Cheer locker room,” Hill explains in the TikTok. “There were so many close encounters,” she says of herself and Swift.

“At the end of the game, she would always meet Travis by the locker room,” the former cheerleader shares.

Toward the end of the TikTok, Hill admitted that she and the cheer squad went into total fangirl mode themselves. “So there was one game that we were like, ‘We have just got to wait here and I’m sure we are gonna see her walk by and if we all stand by the door.’”

Hill said they “huddled” together with the hopes Swift would “take a picture” with them. “We were waiting for like a really long time. I’m not even a Swiftie and I was like crawled down in the front waiting to take my picture with her,” she says with a laugh.

In conclusion, Hill was Team Swift after her unique experiences of getting an up-close perspective of the pop star. “Overall, I was a huge fan of having her a part of Chiefs Kingdom.”

At the end of the 2023-2024 season, Hill posted another video to TikTok that revealed the “crazy tradition” the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders take part in every time they make a Super Bowl appearance.

“We have this crazy tradition where we get tattoos every time we go to a Super Bowl. Last year, we went to Definitive Tattoo Gallery and we absolutely loved it, so we’re back!” the cheerleader says in the clip filmed in March 2024.

“Once I got inside, all my teammates were already there. This was my fourth Super Bowl appearance, so that means tattoo number four today,” she revealed, ultimately getting a Roman numeral to represent the Super Bowl year and an arrowhead in tribute to the Kansas City Chiefs stadium.

“It is not a requirement to get a tattoo and there is absolutely no pressure,” Hill made clear. “However, I would say the majority of our team got tatted today. Even our athletic trainer, Michaela, joined us and got a cute Vegas-themed tattoo with 34 to represent the members of our team!”

Chiefs Cheerleader Reveals Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Game Day Tradition

In a recent interview, a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader spilled the beans on a special game day tradition that involves none other than pop superstar Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

According to the cheerleader, Swift has been known to attend Chiefs games to support her friend Kelce. And before every game, the two have a special ritual that they do together to help get Kelce pumped up and ready to dominate on the field.

The tradition reportedly involves Swift singing one of Kelce’s favorite songs backstage before the game, giving him a pep talk, and then sharing a secret handshake that they’ve developed over the years.

Fans of both Swift and Kelce are sure to be delighted by this heartwarming tradition that shows the bond between the pop star and the football player. It’s just one more reason to tune in to Chiefs games and see what surprises are in store.

Well, it looks like the Swift and Kelce families are getting along nicely. Taylor Swift brought her family and her possible-future-in-laws together on Saturday at the AFC playoff game in Kansas City and, honestly, they looked like one big, happy family.

Swift invited her whole family—her mom, Andrea Swift, dad, Scott Swift, and younger brother, Austin Swift—to join her and Travis Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, in their private suite at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Kansas City Chiefs’ Jan. 18 game against the Houston Texans.

The Swifts went all out showing their support for the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer’s boyfriend and were all decked out head-to-toe in Chiefs’ merch when they were seen arriving at the stadium—all except Taylor, that is, who was decked out in $16,500 worth of head-to-toe Chanel for the game.

This is just the latest example of the Swifts and Kelces coming together as one big family unit. In November, Swift’s parents reportedly hosted a joint family Thanksgiving dinner.

“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” a source told People at the time. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.”

The People source went on to add that Travis’s older brother, Jason Kelce, “was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special.”

The joint family appearance at the Chiefs game came amid increasing reports that Swift and Kelce’s relationship is getting very serious—and speculation about an impending engagement for the two.

In December, a source close to the pair told the Daily Mail that the pair were planning to make Nashville their home base for the time being and that “falling in love with Travis so deeply has shifted [Swift’s] priorities around a bit and has given her a new outlook on life.”

“Ideally, she and Travis will live together in one home as they start a family,” the source added, alluding to the couple’s future plans for the relationship. “This is no different than any other couple with a family.”

Taylor Swift truly knows how to bring people together, and that was evident at the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff game this weekend. The pop superstar was seen in the stands with not only her own family, but also the parents of Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.

Fans were quick to notice the unlikely group sitting together, chatting and cheering on the team. It seems that Swift and Kelce have formed a close bond, as this is not the first time they have been spotted together at a game.

The sight of Swift, her family, and the Kelce’s all together was a heartwarming moment for fans, showcasing the power of sports and music to unite people from all walks of life.

It just goes to show, you never know who you might run into at a Chiefs game – even a global superstar like Taylor Swift.

  • Why is Travis Scott performing during halftime at Ohio State vs. Notre Dame national championship game?

The 2025 CFP national championship will be held on Monday, January 20. Ohio State will take on Notre Dame to determine which team is the best-of-the-best in the final game of the 2024-2025 season.

With such a big event happening, it was surprising that no act had been announced for the halftime show. Usually, in college football, the home team’s marching band performs a set. With big games that are at a neutral site, like the national championship, both teams’ marching bands are often given a chance to shine.

ESPN announced a few days before the game that there would be a “special guest” performer but only alluded to it being a star and to wait to see the reveal. Monday morning, it was announced that rapper Travis Scott would be the headliner for the halftime show. Each school’s marching bands could still get time to shine, but Scott will be the main attraction.

Here is why Scott is performing during the 2025 national championship halftime show.

Travis Scott halftime show: Why is he performing during Ohio State vs. Notre Dame?

Scott last released a new studio album in 2023. He dropped ‘Utopia’ in July 2023 and followed it up with a first edition version of the album in August. Scott hasn’t confirmed that a new album is coming, but the halftime show will feature a new song. When the rapper posted the announcement on his Instagram, he said that he has a new song called ‘4×4’ that he will debut on Monday night.

What time is Ohio State vs. Notre Dame halftime show?

Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. There is no set time for the halftime show to start. Given the typical run time of college football first halves, it likely won’t begin until at or after 9 p.m. ET.

To be safe, though, if you just want to watch the halftime show, it would be wise to turn the game on around 8:45 p.m. ET to ensure you don’t miss anything.

How to watch the Travis Scott halftime show

The national championship game between Ohio State and Notre Dame will air on ESPN. You’re in luck if you don’t have access to this channel! ESPN is included in Fubo‘s channel offering and is currently running a free trial.

    Who is Travis Scott?

Scott was born Jacques Bermon Webster II in 1991 in Houston, Texas. He signed his first major label deal with Epic Records when he was 21 years old. Scott also joined a venture with Kanye West as well as T.I. He has 10 Grammy nominations but is still looking for his first win.

Scott is best known for his songs ‘Oh My/Dis Side’ and ‘Sicko Mode.’ He has also performed under the monikers “La Flame,” “Cactus Jack,” “Trav,” and “Travi$ Scott.”

    Travis Scott new song

Scott is expected to release a new album soon. His last album was ‘Utopia’ in July 2023. Anticipation of a new album has grown as the rapper was not only announced as the halftime headliner for the national championship game but also that he would be so by debuting a new song. Scott’s new song is titled ‘4×4’.

    Travis Scott albums history

Scott has released 19 albums, but not all have been originals. Some have been expansions or re-masters of his earlier work. Here are the albums Scott has released from earliest to most recent.

    • Owl Pharaoh (2013)
    • Days Before Rodeo (2014)
    • Rodeo (2015)
    • Rodeo, Expanded Edition (2015)
    • .WAV RADIO Tracklists (2016)
    • Birds in the Rap Sing McKnight (2016)
    • Know No Better, Remixes (2017)
    • ASTROWORLD (2018)
    • JACKBOYS (2019)
    • ESCAPE PLAN/MAFIA (2021)
    • K-POP (Chopped & Screwed) (2023)

    • UTOPIA, First edition (2023)
    • DAYS BEFORE RODEO (Vault 1-4 Deluxes, chopped & screwed, and live from Atlanta (2024)

There was speculation that Scott would release a new album at the end of 2024, and as time passed, that speculation turned into excitement that maybe this new song means a new album will be released early in 2025.

    Travis Scott Fortnite concert

The video game Fortnite has evolved dramatically over the seven and a half years since its release. Initially a first-person shooter battle royale game, it has now become an umbrella that includes live concerts, a racing game and a Lego mode.

Live events in Fortnite were a must-see when they started. Whenever the video game enters a new chapter of its lore, there is an in-game event that players can hop into and witness something significant happen that would alter the game and its direction for a new season. One of the events put in the game was the first-ever Fortnite concert. Scott and Fortnite collaborated as he was put into the game, and players could tune in to see him perform part of his ‘Astroworld’ album.

Travis Scott, the Grammy-nominated rapper and performer, has been chosen to headline the halftime show at the highly anticipated national championship game between Ohio State and Notre Dame. But why has he been selected for this prestigious performance?

One reason could be Scott’s immense popularity and appeal to a wide range of audiences. With hit songs like “Sicko Mode” and “Highest in the Room,” Scott has garnered a massive following and has proven himself to be a dynamic and engaging performer. His high-energy performances and unique style make him a perfect fit for a high-profile event like the national championship game.

Additionally, Scott’s presence at the halftime show could bring added excitement and buzz to the game, drawing in viewers who may not typically tune in for college football. His performance could help attract a younger demographic and bring a fresh and modern element to the traditional halftime show.

Overall, Travis Scott’s selection as the halftime performer for the Ohio State vs. Notre Dame national championship game is sure to bring an electrifying and unforgettable performance to the biggest stage in college football. Fans can expect an epic show filled with energy, excitement, and plenty of surprises from the talented rapper.

  • Travis Kelce Says Working on ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Was ‘a Dream Come True’

On a recent episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Travis Kelce discussed how exciting it was to work with comedy legend Adam Sandler. Kelce will appear alongside Sandler in Netflix‘s “Happy Gilmore 2,” which is set for a 2025 release. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is cast in a currently undisclosed role; in a recently released teaser, he appears to play some sort of country club employee.

“That was a dream come true,” Kelce said, “I thought ‘SNL’ was going to be the peak of my acting and showman or entertainment career. Working with Happy Gilmore himself, the Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain.”

While he is by no means top-billed, Kelce said he has “a few” scenes in the film, and that shooting for “Happy Gilmore 2” was “a hefty load” of work.

“They’re so professional and yet so fun to work with,” Kelce added. “I felt like I was working with like the [Kansas City Chiefs’ coach] Andy Reid of the acting world. [Sandler] is every bit as cool off the screen as he is on the screen. That was a dream come true. That was awesome.”

Outside of Kelce and Sandler, “Happy Gilmore 2” stars Ben Stiller, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Jacqueline Sophia London, Benny Safdie and Nick Swardson.

While plot details for the sequel remain under wraps, the original “Happy Gilmore” followed a hot-headed hockey player who turns to the world of professional golf to save his grandmother’s home from foreclosure. The 1996 film was directed by Dennis Dugan and grossed $41 million at the global box office against a $12 million budget.

  • NFL divisional round playoff overreactions: Travis Kelce better than Jerry Rice? Chiefs aided by officials?

The first day of the divisional round of the playoffs was a thriller around the NFL. The Washington Commanders had a massive upset victory over the Detroit Lions and advanced to the conference championship game for the first time since 1991, all behind the rookie sensation in Jayden Daniels. Washington will play the winner of the Philadelphia eagles and Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game next week.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans in the early game to advance to their seventh consecutive conference championship game — or every season Patrick Mahomes has been a starter. The Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills or the Baltimore Ravens next week.

With the exciting divisional round matchups on Saturday concluded, there are plenty of overreactions to be had. Which are overreactions and which are reality?

Jayden Daniels is having the best postseason ever for a rookie QB

    Overreaction or reality: Reality

What Daniels has done in two postseason games is the stuff legends are made of. The No. 6-seeded Commanders defeated the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay then beat the No. 1-seeded Lions in Detroit, making Daniels the third rookie quarterback to play in the conference championship game.

Daniels hasn’t game managed his way there either. Daniels is the first player since the 1970 merger with 250+ passing yards, 2+ passing touchdowns, and zero interceptions in each of his first two playoff games. He’s the third player with 500+ passing yards, 75+ rushing yards, 4+ passing touchdowns and zero interceptions through the first two games of a postseason — joining Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.

The Commanders are in the conference championship game for the first time in 33 years because of Daniels, playing like a top-five quarterback in Year 1. Daniels and the Commanders have a bright future.

Lions Super Bowl window is closed

    Overreaction or reality: Overreaction

The Lions were the team to beat in the NFC with the No. 1 seed and a 15-2 record. This was their best chance to win a Super Bowl, and they were in position to win one with the playoffs going through Detroit. With this divisional playoff loss to the Commanders, is the Super Bowl window closed?

The core of this team with Jared GoffAmon-Ra St. BrownJahmyr Gibbs and Penei Sewell are back. Aidan Hutchinson and many other key defensive starters will be healthy as well (the Lions had six defensive starters on injured reserve and 16 total players). Detroit still has a top-three offensive line in football and one of the most explosive offenses, whether Ben Johnson returns as offensive coordinator or not.

The Lions will lose some key coaches (Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn most likely), so they’ll take a hit there. There are some questions whether Goff is good enough to win this team a Super Bowl, but this team will be in the mix to compete for a Super Bowl in 2025. The window is not closed yet.

Jared Goff isn’t good enough to win the Lions a Super Bowl

    Overreaction or reality: Overreaction

Goff is a good enough quarterback to win Detroit a Super Bowl championship, but turnovers and subpar play in big games have been his downfall. Goff threw three interceptions — one returned for a touchdown — and had a fumble lost in Saturday’s loss to the Commanders.

The Lions may have to protect Goff from himself going forward, making him a game manager in big games instead of a gun slinger. Goff has been to a Super Bowl and two conference championship games in his career, yet has a 4-5 postseason record. Heading into Saturday, Goff’s 0.6 interception rate was the lowest in NFL playoff history — which evaporated because of his poor performance.

Detroit committed to Goff and gave him $53 million a year for the next four years. They’ll roll with Goff going forward and Goff will have multiple opportunities to avenge this playoff loss. Going forward, Detroit probably should not rely on him throwing 40+ times in a playoff game.

Travis Kelce is the best receiver to ever play in the postseason

    Overreaction or reality: Reality

Kelce added to his postseason legend in Saturday’s win, catching seven passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in the victory. Kelce passed Jerry Rice for the most 100-yard games by any player in the postseason (nine) and has 14 straight playoff games with 70+ receiving yards — double the amount of the next highest player (Antonio Brown has seven).

Kelce has 2,020 receiving yards, and 20 receiving touchdowns in his playoff career — only Rice has more with 2,245 and 22 touchdowns. At 35 years old, Kelce could pass Rice as soon as this season — and he’s already in striking distance of Rice.

Both Kelce and Rice have three Super Bowl titles and are the No. 1 options for each of their Super Bowl championship teams. Kelce also has the most receptions by any player in postseason history (172) — and has these numbers in six fewer playoff games than Rice.

When it comes to the postseason, no one is a better pass catcher than Kelce.

Andy Reid will set the NFL all-time wins record for coaches

    Overreaction or reality: Reality

Reid notched his 300th career win (regular and postseason) with the Chiefs beating the Texans on Saturday, becoming the fourth head coach in NFL history to hit 300 career wins. Only three head coaches have more career wins than Reid: Don Shula (347), Bill Belichick (333), and George Halas (324). The all-time wins record is well within reach.

Reid only needs 48 wins to pass Shula and is only 66 years old. The Chiefs win an average of 13 regular-season games a season since Patrick Mahomes became the starting quarterback — and this isn’t including the 16 postseason wins. Counting the postseason, the Chiefs win an average of 15 games a year.

Reid only needs three more seasons at that pace to get within five wins of the all-time record, something he can pass by the 2028 season (he would be 70). Assuming Reid doesn’t retire prior to then, he will pass Shula for the most wins by a head coach — and may have a few more championships by then.

Officials are why the Chiefs won

    Overreaction or reality: Overreaction

Social media was buzzing with how the officiating crew were in favor of the Chiefs in Saturday’s win, particularly Patrick Mahomes. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans added fuel to the fire by saying in his postgame press conference — “It was us versus everybody. When I say everybody, I mean everybody.” — implying the officials had calls in favor of the Chiefs.

This isn’t way the Chiefs won the game. The Texans allowed eight sacks in the divisional round loss, allowed a 63-yard kickoff return on the opening play of the game that led to three points, had a 35-yard field goal blocked, and missed a 55-yard field goal in the 23-14 loss (nine points given up right there). Houston was also 1 of 3 in the red zone, not having a single goal-to-go situation.

Houston made enough mistakes on Saturday not to advance to the conference championship game. Losses don’t need to be blamed on the officials, especially if Ryans was implying that was the case.

The NFL divisional round playoffs always bring out some wild reactions from fans and analysts alike. This weekend was no exception, with the Kansas City Chiefs pulling off a thrilling comeback win over the Buffalo Bills. But are some of the reactions going too far?

One hot take making the rounds is the idea that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is better than legendary receiver Jerry Rice. While Kelce is undoubtedly one of the best tight ends in the game right now, comparing him to Rice, who is widely considered the greatest receiver of all time, seems like a stretch. Rice holds numerous records and won three Super Bowls during his career, while Kelce is still chasing his first ring.

Another controversial topic from the Chiefs-Bills game is the idea that Kansas City was aided by the officials. There were several questionable calls throughout the game, including a crucial pass interference call that went in favor of the Chiefs. Some fans are crying foul and accusing the officials of favoring the reigning Super Bowl champions. While it’s natural for fans to feel frustrated when calls don’t go their team’s way, it’s important to remember that officiating is a difficult job and mistakes will happen.

In the end, it’s important to take a step back and consider the bigger picture. Travis Kelce is a phenomenal player, but comparing him to Jerry Rice is a bit premature. And while officiating can certainly impact the outcome of a game, it’s just one factor among many. Let’s enjoy the excitement of the playoffs and leave the overreactions behind.

  • Travis Kelce Shares What Chiefs Players Are Talking About Ahead of Possible Super Bowl ‘Three-Peat’

Travis Kelce Says He Hasnt Heard Anyone on the Chiefs Talk About Anything Three Peat

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t letting their No. 1 seed ranking in the AFC get to their heads — even with a possible back-to-back-to-back Super Bowl win on the line.

“I haven’t heard anybody talk about anything ‘three-peat’ [or] anything like that,” tight end Travis Kelce, one of the team’s playoff captains, said in a preview for his upcoming ESPN interview with Chris Berman. “We’re focused on the Houston Texans right now.”

The Chiefs, who are ranked No. 1 in the AFC conference, battle the Texans in a Saturday, January 18, divisional playoff game. The winner advances to the conference championship against either the Buffalo Bills or the Baltimore Ravens. Of course, the AFC champ will secure a place in the Super Bowl against the NFC’s own titleholder.

“Anybody can get beat in the playoffs if you don’t come in with the right mentality and the right mindset dating back to training camp and throughout the season,” Kelce, 35, explained ahead of Saturday’s football game. “We have such a veteran team. We have so many leaders in so many different ways. Guys step up and guys just understand the task at hand.”

Travis Kelce Confirms Taylor Swift Will Attend Chiefs Playoff Game, Dodges Question About New Songs

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl next month, they will become the first NFL team to win the championship three times in a row. Kelce, in particular, was signed with the Missouri team when they earned the Lombardi trophy in 2020, 2023 and 2024, respectively. (The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 and 2023, and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023.)

The 2024 big game was especially special for Kelce. In addition to winning the trophy, he was able to celebrate the moment with a sideline kiss from girlfriend Taylor Swift, whom he started dating in 2023. The pop star, 35, has since become a staple at his football games and is expected to make an appearance on Saturday.

“You know it, baby,” Kelce teased her attendance during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week. “You know it’s playoff football, man. … I’m feeling fired up. I’m ‘feeling 22’ [like Swift’s song] all over again, baby. Let’s go!”

Patrick Mahomes Sets High Expectations for Travis Kelce in the Playoffs: ‘The Greats Step Up’

Days later, Kelce gushed about his “very strong relationship” with Swift and having her game day support. (She often rocks up to KC’s Arrowhead Stadium decked out in team gear and colors, in addition to custom jewelry honoring Kelce’s 87 jersey number.)

“Me and Taylor are happy and I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium,” Kelce said on the Wednesday, January 15, episode of the Stephen A. Smith Show. “She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”

As the Kansas City Chiefs gear up for a potential Super Bowl ‘three-peat,’ star tight end Travis Kelce has given fans a glimpse into what the team is buzzing about behind closed doors.

In a recent interview, Kelce revealed that the Chiefs players are focused on staying grounded and not getting ahead of themselves. “We know we have a target on our backs, and we can’t take anything for granted,” Kelce said. “We’re just taking it one game at a time and staying hungry for success.”

Kelce also shared that the team is drawing inspiration from past Super Bowl champions who have achieved back-to-back titles. “We want to make history and leave a legacy that will be remembered for years to come,” Kelce added.

With the playoffs just around the corner, Chiefs fans can rest assured that their team is locked in and ready to make a run at another Lombardi Trophy. Stay tuned for more updates as the Chiefs continue their quest for a ‘three-peat’! #ChiefsKingdom #SuperBowlThreePeat

  • Travis Kelce’s comments about Patrick Mahomes will have Chiefs fans nodding in agreement

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for their first playoff game of 2025, Travis Kelce didn’t hold back when talking about Patrick Mahomes and what having the 29-year-old quarterback throw to him all of these years has meant to him.

Kelce spoke with Chris Berman ahead of the Chiefs’ divisional round match-up against the Houston Texans and showered his quarterback with praise.

“It’s been such a pleasure,” Kelce said. “He’s every bit of a superstar off the field as he is on the field. I consider him family. There’s one common denominator from the Chiefs my entire career and that’s Andy Reid, but this thing really took off when Patrick Mahomes got here. I know everybody knows that, but what I see in the building, his leadership, his ability to relate to everybody and motivate everybody, and be accountable, it’s unique, and it’s like nothing else.”

Kelce is 100% with what he said in this snippet here. While Kelce arrived to Kansas City the same time that Andy Reid did, the Chiefs became what they are now when Mahomes took over as the starting quarterback. Alex Smith helped the Chiefs become a winning franchise and got them to the playoffs most years but Mahomes got them to the playoffs every year and started winning the games that really mattered.

The Chiefs had not been to a Super Bowl in 50 years before Mahomes took over. Since he’s been the starter, they’ve been to the Super Bowl four times and won three of them. They’ve made the AFC Championship game every year that he’s been a starter (2025 results pending) and that was not something this fan base was accustomed to before Mahomes was the starting quarterback.

Travis Kelce can’t help but heap praise onto Patrick Mahomes

That’s not all Kelce said in this interview, however. The long-time Chiefs tight end then made a comment that will have Chiefs fans amped up but might irritate any non-Chiefs fans.

“He’s the greatest to ever do it. You can’t change my mind, otherwise.”

Some people might not like this comment considering that a lot of people have crowned Tom Brady as the greatest of all-time. Brady has seven Super Bowl titles and has been the opposing quarterback in two of the Chiefs’ playoff losses (the AFC Championship Game in 2019 and Super Bowl LV). The head-to-head wins are defiintely always going to benefit Brady but if Mahomes can keep winning Super Bowls, getting to his number of total wins would help push him past Brady.

Kelce’s comments are going to surprise people but they shouldn’t. He’s played with Mahomes for the past seven years and until the Texas Tech product took over as the starter, Kelce and the Chiefs didn’t have much success in the playoffs. That changed with Patrick Mahomes.

Way to fire us up, Kelce!

Travis Kelce’s recent comments about his teammate Patrick Mahomes are sure to have Chiefs fans nodding in agreement. In an interview, Kelce praised Mahomes’ work ethic, leadership, and talent, calling him the best quarterback in the league. Kelce also highlighted Mahomes’ ability to elevate the play of those around him and expressed his confidence in Mahomes leading the team to another Super Bowl victory. Chiefs fans can’t help but agree with Kelce’s glowing assessment of their star quarterback and are eagerly anticipating another successful season with Mahomes at the helm.
