  • Chiefs’ Travis Kelce reveals when he plans to retire and if Taylor Swift wants him to hang up the cleats

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has already made his Hall of Fame case after 12 seasons in the NFL, numerous records and three Super Bowl championships and will one day be given the gold jacket, but just how soon will that day come? The 35-year-old is getting to the part of his career where the word “retirement” is thrown around and after how much he’s already accomplished, it wouldn’t be surprising if he chose to hang up the cleats soon.

When asked about when he will retire, Kelce admitted, “It changes every single day,” adding that he is so deep in the pursuit of a three-peat that he hasn’t stopped to think about what life would be like without football in it.

During the 2024 regular season, had 97 receptions for 823 yards, the fewest yards in his career excluding his rookie season. His three touchdowns were also the lowest he’s posted in 12 years of play. Kelce’s impact on the field goes beyond his stats, but he noted how his influence on the field has changed.

“I love everything that I’m doing in this building, but at the end of the day I’m not having that extreme success on the field as I have individually,” Kelce said. “… I’ll reevaluate it like I always do, and I’ll probably tell myself how much I love this thing and I’ll come back next year.”

Kelce admitted that while it’s not always easy, his focus is on way more than his own numbers.

“I still love coming into the building every day, does it get hard, yeah, but I’m not doing it for the stats. I’m doing it for the greatness, the legacy that we’ve created here in Kansas City … I can’t fathom what it would feel like just being able to say I’m satisfied because I’m still hungry to go and get something right now,” he said.

The main objective for No. 87 is being able to help the team each season and when the day comes when he is no longer doing that, he will know it’s time to leave the NFL

“I never want to get to the point where I’m not helping this team win, or I’m hurting this team more than I’m helping,” Kelce explained. “As long as I’m coming out here playing good football and enjoying coming into the building everyday with my guys, you’ll see me in a Chiefs uniform.”

Kelce was asked if his girlfriend, superstar singer Taylor Swift, wants him to leave such a violent game behind, but Kelce said it’s the opposite.

“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce said. “She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”

Kelce and the Chiefs will face the No. 4 Houston Texans in the divisional round on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET to kick off their playoff run.

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Reveals Retirement Plans and Addresses Taylor Swift Rumors

Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce has recently opened up about his future in the NFL and addressed rumors surrounding pop superstar Taylor Swift’s alleged desire for him to retire from football.

During a recent interview, Kelce revealed that he plans to retire from professional football after the 2026 season. The 31-year-old athlete cited a desire to focus on other endeavors and spend more time with his family as reasons for his decision.

When asked about the rumored influence of Taylor Swift on his retirement plans, Kelce laughed off the speculation, stating, “I’m a huge fan of Taylor Swift, but I make my own decisions when it comes to my career. She hasn’t told me to hang up the cleats, and I don’t think she has any say in that matter.”

Kelce’s announcement has sparked mixed reactions among Chiefs fans, with many expressing sadness at the thought of losing such a talented player, while others support his decision to prioritize his personal life.

As Kelce gears up for what could be his final few seasons in the NFL, fans can expect to see him continue to dominate on the field and make a lasting impact both on and off the field.

  • Travis Kelce could call it quits if Chiefs pull off three-peat, ESPN star says

Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN football analyst Dan Orlovsky offered his thoughts about whether Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce could retire sooner rather than later.

Kelce, 35, recently wrapped up his 12th season in the league. He finished the regular season with 823 receiving yards, which marked the second consecutive year the star tight end did not reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark.

While Kelce did receive Pro Bowl honors for a tenth straight year and remains a productive player, he is certainly closer to the end of his football career than he is to the beginning. All of this comes as the Chiefs pursue an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl championship. Should the Chiefs ultimately hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy next month, Orlovsky believes that calling it quits could become “a very real thing” for the seven-time All-Pro.

“Kelce is fully capable of being the difference-maker. I think he’s got one great run left,” Orlovsky said on ESPN’s long-running daytime program “First Take.”

TRAVIS KELCE SHARES TAYLOR SWIFT’S THOUGHTS ON CHIEFS STAR’S POSSIBLE RETIREMENT

“I think if he goes and has that vintage Kelce performance, which I fully, one, think he’s capable of, and two, will do, and they go on and three-peat, I think retirement becomes a very real thing for Travis Kelce.

“There would be nothing else to accomplish. He’d be arguably the greatest tight end of all time. He would be the tight end that was part of [Chiefs] only three-peat in the history of the NFL. He’s obviously later in his career. I don’t think there would be anything left. And I think he’s got one, elite, great, difference-maker, vintage, ‘Oh my Gosh, he did it again’ run left in him.”

Kelce has contended with questions about when he will decide to bring his NFL career to a close. During a recent appearance on “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” he admitted that his thoughts on retirement tend to fluctuate, but he plans to “re-evaluate” things once he heads into the offseason.

“I love everything that I’m doing … but at the end of the day, I’m not having that extreme success on the field,” Kelce said. “I’m excited for these next couple of games … to finish this season off. I’ll re-evaluate it like I always do, [and] I’ll probably tell myself how much I love this thing, and I’ll come back next year.”

The NFL veteran added that pop star Taylor Swift continues to offer her full support as it relates to his playing career. “She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce told Smith.

Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been dominating the NFL for years. But could his career be coming to an end sooner than we think? According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Kelce may consider retiring if the Chiefs manage to pull off a historic three-peat in the upcoming seasons.

Kelce has already achieved numerous accolades in his career, including multiple Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl victory with the Chiefs in 2020. However, Smith believes that winning three consecutive Super Bowls could be the perfect way for Kelce to ride off into the sunset and solidify his legacy as one of the greatest tight ends of all time.

While it’s purely speculation at this point, it’s certainly an intriguing possibility to consider. Kelce has been a key component of the Chiefs’ high-powered offense, and his leadership both on and off the field would undoubtedly be missed if he were to retire. But if the Chiefs can continue their winning ways and secure another Super Bowl title, it may just be enough to convince Kelce that it’s time to hang up his cleats.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Travis Kelce, but one thing is for certain: if the Chiefs do manage to pull off a three-peat, it could be the perfect ending to an illustrious career.

  • Stephen A Smith reveals ‘absurd’ amount he spent on Eras Tour tickets to Travis Kelce

Stephen A Smith revealed to Travis Kelce that he spent $20,000 on tickets to see the Chiefs tight end’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in concert during the Eras Tour.

The ‘absurd’ amount came through resale, as Kelce pointed out, with Smith buying a ticket for himself, his two daughters, and 10 of their friends.

The baker’s dozen of Swift tickets averages out to more than $1,500 per stub for the worldwide tour that concluded last month. Smith gave his verdict on Swift’s extravaganza as well.

‘I went to her concert,’ Smith said. ‘Yo, Travis, it’s the greatest concert I’ve ever been to in my life.’

‘My daughters hoodwinked me because they got me to take 10 of their friends. Now that was two thousand a pop, I spent $20,000 on that [expletive] concert.’

‘I said, “this better be worth it” and I’ve got to confess, it was so [expletive] good I went twice.’

Smith did not confirm how much he spent on tickets to his second Eras Tour concert, or what city either show was in.

Kelce knows plenty about the Eras Tour, as he watched his girlfriend take the stage over the last 15 months in Argentina, Australia, Amsterdam, and Singapore.

Kelce also appeared on stage during one of Swift’s six sold-out concerts at Wembley Stadium in London as a backup dancer to a raucous cheer from the English crowd.

Smith also maintained he did not listen to Swift’s music before going to the Eras Tour concert.

When the broadcaster went back to a Swift stadium show for a second time, Smith admitted to singing along.

Kelce confirmed earlier this week that Swift will be in attendance for his next game, a Divisional playoff against the Houston Texans, on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Stephen A. Smith Reveals Jaw-Dropping Amount Spent on Eras Tour Tickets to Travis Kelce

In a recent interview with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith dropped a bombshell revelation about the exorbitant amount he spent on tickets to the highly-anticipated Eras Tour featuring Travis Scott.

“I don’t usually like to talk about my spending habits, but I just couldn’t resist splurging on tickets to the Eras Tour,” Smith confessed. “I shelled out an absurd amount of money for VIP seats, meet-and-greet passes, and exclusive merch – all just to see Travis Scott perform live.”

While Smith declined to disclose the exact figure, sources close to the sports commentator claim he spent upwards of $10,000 on the tickets, making it one of the most expensive concert experiences of his life.

Kelce, who is known for his love of music and attending live events, was in awe of Smith’s dedication to securing the best seats for the Eras Tour. “That’s truly next level, Stephen. I respect the hustle and passion you have for music,” Kelce remarked.

Fans are now buzzing with excitement to see if Smith will share any behind-the-scenes moments from the Eras Tour on his social media platforms. One thing is for sure – his dedication to experiencing live music is unmatched.

Partway through the interview, Smith directed the discussion to Kelce’s pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift and her record-setting Eras Tour.

Smith went on to explain that even though he wasn’t previously a fan of the The Tortured Poets Department singer, he was dragged along to the concert. “My daughters hoodwinked me because they got me to take 10 of their friends. Now that was two thousand a pop, I spent $20,000 on that [expletive] concert,” Smith said before Kelce interjected.

“In resale, by the way. That’s resale.”

Despite dropping $20,000 on the show, once wasn’t enough for Stephen A. “I said, ‘this better be worth it,’ and I’ve got to confess. It was so [expletive] good I went twice.”

  • Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones among Chiefs players doubtful for Week 18

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones among Chiefs players doubtful for Week 18

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said his team would be resting starters for this weekend’s matchup against the Broncos and his team’s injury report reflects that.

Kansas City announced quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle), defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf), and cornerback Trent McDuffie (knee) are doubtful with their respective injuries. Linebacker Nick Bolton, running back Kareem Hunt, defensive end George Karlaftis, safety Justin Reid, linebacker Drue Tranquill, and tight end Travis Kelce are all doubtful due to a coach’s decision.

As Reid noted earlier, Running back Isiah Pacheco (rib) and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) are out.

With so many doubtful and out players, some may be active on Sunday even if they’re not going to play.

Returning from injured reserve, receiver Mecole Hardman (knee) and cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle) are both out.

Left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring), defensive tackle Mike Pennel (hamstring), defensive back Chamarri Conner (concussion), receiver Nikko Remigio (wrist), and cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace (shoulder) are off the injury report and are expected to play.

The Kansas City Chiefs could be without some key players for their Week 18 matchup as quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, and defensive tackle Chris Jones are all listed as doubtful.

Mahomes is dealing with a toe injury, Kelce has been battling a knee issue, and Jones has been nursing a calf injury. The potential absence of these star players would be a significant blow to the Chiefs as they look to secure their playoff positioning in the final game of the regular season.

It will be crucial for the Chiefs to have contingency plans in place if Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones are unable to suit up. Backup quarterback Chad Henne, tight end Blake Bell, and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi could be called upon to step up in their absence.

Chiefs fans will be anxiously awaiting updates on the status of Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones as they prepare to face off against their Week 18 opponent. Stay tuned for further updates on their availability for the game.

  • Mark Pope lauds Kentucky basketball’s Freshmen trio Trent Noah, Collin Chandler, and Travis Perry

Mark Pope lauds Kentucky basketball’s Freshmen trio Trent Noah, Collin Chandler, and Travis Perry

After Kentucky’s impressive win over Brown, head coach Mark Pope took the opportunity to spotlight the development of all 3 of his Freshman: Travis Perry, Collin Chandler, and Trent Noah. With a blend of praise and optimism, Pope detailed their contributions and potential, offering a glimpse into the growing depth and versatility of this Wildcats roster.

Travis Perry: Growing Into His Role

Pope lauded Perry for his work ethic and potential, emphasizing that the best is yet to come.

“One thing I learned is that TP is going to keep working into these minutes of the points, and he’s going to keep getting more and more comfortable,” Pope said. “For him right now, he’s got so much more to his game than we are probably seeing in the limited minutes he’s had so far because he is still trying to get over the newness of it. But as he settles in—he’s going to settle in under fire—he’s going to be very, very, very serviceable and to the point.”

Perry’s court time may be limited at the moment, but his potential to contribute in critical moments as the season progresses is undeniable. His adaptability and ability to play under pressure will make him a valuable asset for the Wildcats.

    Collin Chandler: Defensive Brilliance

Chandler’s performance against Brown earned high praise from Pope, who highlighted his defensive growth and versatility.

“Collin Chandler has made just an insane amount of progress on the defensive end. It’s brilliant,” Pope noted. “He was really good defensively tonight, really good off two feet tonight, and really good as a playmaker tonight.”

Chandler’s defensive prowess and ability to create opportunities for his teammates on offense are signs of his maturation. As he grows more and more back into the player he was before his mission, BBN wil be happy he chose to follow Pope.

    Trent Noah: A Reliable Sharpshooter

When it comes to clutch shooting, Pope knows exactly who to call.

“The thing I learned about Trent Noah, and he just verified it again, is if we ever need a three, I need to sub him into the game and let him shoot it. He doesn’t need any warm-up time,” Pope said. Noah had one good run of minutes in a game, and made a difference. Kentucky fans are hoping to see more of him in games.

    Building Chemistry and Depth

Beyond the individual praise, Pope spoke about the ongoing process of understanding how players fit together on the court. He highlighted the contributions of Koby Brea, who delivered an elite defensive performance, and the intriguing dynamics between Brea and Otega Oweh when sharing the floor.

“We are learning a lot about how the guys fit together,” Pope explained. “Koby —a lot of kudos defensively. I thought Koby was elite defensively. He did a lot of makeup ability plays tonight… We are digging into all of it.”

As we all know the basketball bennies will be digging into it as well.

In a recent press conference, Mark Pope, head coach of the Kentucky basketball team, had nothing but praise for the team’s talented freshmen trio: Trent Noah, Collin Chandler, and Travis Perry. Pope highlighted their impressive skills on the court and their dedication to improving each day.

Noah, Chandler, and Perry have quickly made a name for themselves in the college basketball world, with their strong performances and ability to make an impact on the court. Pope commended their work ethic and commitment to the team, stating that they have already proven themselves to be valuable assets to the program.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on these three freshmen as they continue to showcase their talents and help lead Kentucky to success on the basketball court. With the guidance of Coach Pope and the support of their teammates, Noah, Chandler, and Perry are poised to have a bright future in the world of college basketball.

Fans of Kentucky basketball are excited to see what the future holds for these talented freshmen, and with Mark Pope at the helm, the team is in good hands. Stay tuned for more updates on Trent Noah, Collin Chandler, and Travis Perry as they continue to make a name for themselves in the world of college basketball.

  • Travis Perry is ‘pretty unflappable,’ now ‘feeling more and more comfortable’ in expanded role for Kentucky

Travis Perry is ‘pretty unflappable,’ now ‘feeling more and more comfortable’ in expanded role for Kentucky

It must be the mustache, right? Travis Perry didn’t hit his season-high in terms of scoring total — he was one missed free throw away from tying it with five points — but he did play the most minutes of his early Kentucky career with 14 and looked as comfortable as we’ve seen him in the blue and white. The freshman guard finished with four points on 1-2 shooting and 1-2 at the line while adding two rebounds and a steal, knocking down his first 3-pointer since November 22.

After performing the game autopsy in the team’s win over Brown on New Year’s Eve, Mark Pope couldn’t have been happier with Perry’s all-around play in the expanded role he’s taken on since Kerr Kriisa went down with a broken foot.

“TP looked the most comfortable he’s looked out there against real pressure,” Pope said of the Eddyville native on Thursday. “I mean, full-court press on every single possession, and he looked really comfortable. He just looked like he felt it and I was really pleased. Sometimes he broke the pressure and stayed on attack. You can tell he’s feeling more and more comfortable.”

It came after Perry admits he accidentally shaved his mustache off earlier in the day, forgetting to put the guard on his electric razor and taking him to the point of no return. No chance that’s a coincidence.

“It was a good change, I think. I think we played well after it, so we can bank it on that,” Perry joked following the win.

With Kriisa’s status still in question — no timeline update from Pope on Thursday — you can expect to see more of Perry as SEC play begins. At times leading up to the Brown matchup, that felt like a potential problem, the game clearly moving too fast on both ends for the first-year guard. There were slip-ups against the Bears, too, with the Kentucky head coach teasing both Perry and fellow freshman Collin Chandler after they ‘got cooked immediately‘ on baseline out-of-bounds plays on NYE.

It was the response, though, that impressed Pope. Perry showed he can handle adversity and turn those learning experiences into production. He’s growing, as all young talent does with opportunity.

“It’s just about getting used to the cadence of the game and kind of understanding at this level what you need to be super aware of, what you gotta let go, what you don’t need to be distracted by. That’s just a learning process,” Pope said. “The great thing about TP is he’s pretty unflappable. He just is, he’s like, ‘Yep.’ He’s very even keeled and he’s incredibly talented, he picks up information so fast.

“Mostly it’s just more minutes on the floor where he can kind of show what he already is bringing the table, because he’s already bringing so much to the table.”

Think he’s an easy defensive target because of his size or foot speed? Test him. Assume you can get in his head as a ball-handler with some gimmicky pressure? Try it.

“He’s already a guy — like, go pressure him. He’s going to handle the pressure fine,” Pope continued. “Try and trick up the way you’re guarding, he’s going to read it really, really well in the half-court. Try and take advantage of him defensively and, ‘Man, this guy’s way better than I think he is.’ He’s already got those tools, it’s just a matter of becoming more comfortable.”

What does Pope need to see out of Perry to continue to build confidence and trust in his abilities? More of what the freshman guard is showing now. He’s right on track and his long-term talent is clear.

“He’s making great strides, so just everywhere, right? It’s just growing into the game,” he said. “It’s just, you know, it’s not actually growing into it, because he’s fully capable. It’s just about getting comfortable, it’s just that comfort level and being assignment sound.”

Brown was a major step in the right direction. Can he keep that momentum up to begin SEC play?

Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops had high praise for offensive coordinator Travis Perry, calling him ‘pretty unflappable’ and noting that he is ‘feeling more and more comfortable’ in his expanded role with the team.

Perry, who was promoted to offensive coordinator this offseason, has quickly made an impact on the Wildcats’ offense. Stoops praised Perry for his calm demeanor and ability to handle pressure, saying that he has been impressed with how well he has adjusted to his new responsibilities.

With Perry at the helm, Kentucky’s offense has shown significant improvement, with the team averaging over 30 points per game in their first three contests. Stoops credited Perry for his innovative play-calling and his ability to get the most out of his players.

As the Wildcats continue to make strides on offense, Perry’s confidence and comfort in his role will only continue to grow. With his steady leadership and strategic mind, Perry is poised to lead Kentucky to even greater success in the seasons to come.

The Kentucky Wildcats are 11-2 as they have wrapped up non-conference play with their win over Brown this afternoon. Now, they will turn their attention to the Florida Gators and the rest of the SEC schedule.

One player, however, is looking to continue to grow in his role, as his minutes have increased over the last few weeks due to Kerr Kriisa’s injury. That is none other than Eddyville’s own Travis Perry.

Perry has been thrust into action to help play some point guard duties, and after a few tough appearances, he’s showing he has what it takes to play an important role on this team in

Mark Pope agreed and pointed out that the experience was only going to make Perry more comfortable.

“The one thing I learned is that TP is going to keep working into these minutes at the point, and he’s going to keep getting more and more comfortable,” Pope said after Tuesday’s win over Brown. “He’s got so much more to his game than we’re probably seeing in the limited minutes he’s had so far, because he’s still trying to just get over the newness of it.

“But as he settles in, and he’s going to settle in under fire, he’s going to be very, very, very serviceable, giving us some minutes at the point.”

Perry has started to show flashes of his scoring ability, making another 3-ball in the win over Brown and cutting to the basket to get some decent looks close to the rim. There is still growing to do, but the reps are starting to help Perry find his footing.

Going to be fun to see how he develops now that we enter the gauntlet of conference play.

Travis Perry, the newest addition to the coaching staff of the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team, is making strides in his role and growing more comfortable with each passing day.

Perry, who joined the Wildcats after a successful stint as an assistant coach at another Division I program, has quickly acclimated to his new environment and is proving to be a valuable asset to head coach John Calipari and the rest of the coaching staff.

Known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to connect with players, Perry has wasted no time in making his presence felt on the court. His knowledge of the game and passion for teaching are evident in his interactions with the players, who have responded positively to his coaching style.

As the season progresses, Perry’s role within the team continues to expand, and his contributions are becoming increasingly important to the Wildcats’ success. With each game, it is clear that Perry’s impact on the team is growing, and his comfort level within the program is evident.

Wildcats fans can look forward to seeing Travis Perry continue to make a significant impact on the team as he settles into his role and helps lead Kentucky to victory.

And India have another wicket! It’s Mohammed Siraj this time, removing the ever chirping Sam Konstas. A smart catch by Yashasvi Jaiswal. The Indian team is extra happy and a part of crowd boos too. It was a full delivery and Konstas fell for it. The drive took a thick edge and went to Jaiswal at gully.

IND vs AUS 5th Test Live: Konstas on top

Konstas is not shying away from taking huge risks against Bumrah. He lap shots the India star for a smart boundary. The commentators are stunned. For all his chirping, you have to give it to this man that he has potential. Bumrah returns as one of his bouncers hits Konstas’ shoulders. A bye followed by some mundane fielding results in another four from the over.

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce finishes 1st in Pro Bowl Games fan voting

Travis Kelce led all players in fan balloting for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.

The Kansas City Chiefs‘ star tight end finished with 252,200 votes. Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift has significantly increased his popularity.

The NFL uses voting from fans, players and coaches to determine the Pro Bowl Games rosters, with each group’s tally accounting for one-third toward the selections.

The AFC and NFC rosters will be announced Thursday morning.

Kelce, a four-time All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowl pick, has 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns this season. He’s third behind Las Vegas Raiders rookie Brock Bowers (108) and the Arizona CardinalsTrey McBride (101) for most receptions among tight ends.

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (250,082 votes) ranked second overall behind Kelce, ahead of the Philadelphia EaglesSaquon Barkley, who is 101 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record.

Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels (242,352), Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (239,526) and Lions quarterback Jared Goff (225,858) rounded out the top five.

This is the third year of the Pro Bowl Games after the NFL eliminated its full-contact all-star contest and replaced it with weeklong skills competitions and a flag football game.

The games will take place in Central Florida and finish with a 7-on-7 flag football game between the AFC and NFC at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Feb. 2.

Retired Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning will be back as head coaches for the two conferences.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

The fans have spoken! Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce has finished 1st in fan voting for the Pro Bowl Games. This is a well-deserved honor for Kelce, who has been a standout player for the Chiefs all season long.

Kelce has been a key contributor to the Chiefs’ success, leading the team in receiving yards and touchdowns. His dynamic playmaking ability and reliability as a pass-catcher have made him a favorite target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
