The ball was a fraction short and Pant went for the pull shot. However, he couldn’t get under the ball and thus, didn’t find the right placement. The ball went towards the wide of the long-on fielder and Mitchell Marsh ran a good few yards to complete the catch.
Head was animated and made some gestures to the dressing while celebrating the wicket. Rishabh Pant once again failed to convert the start and walked back after scoring 30 off 104 deliveries.

Rishabh Pant’s untimely dismissal shifted the game’s momentum in Australia’s favor, as Pat Cummins and company bounced back with a couple more wickets to take the driver’s seat.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja walked back after nicking one from Scott Boland, while first innings centurion Nitish Reddy edged one to Steve Smith at slips off Nathan Lyon. At the time of writing, India are placed at 132/6 and staring at a heavy defeat at the MCG.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (76*) and Washington Sundar (2*) will have to bat for another 28 overs to see off the Test and keep the five-match series at 1-1.

Colorado’s playoff hopes were diminished in its 37-21 loss to Kansas in the penultimate week of the regular season, but Hunter’s Heisman hopes weren’t. Offensively, he cracked the 100-yard mark again and had his fourth multi-touchdown performance of the season, finishing with eight receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns. On his first score, Hunter took a screen pass and ran right past Kansas’ defense for a 51-yard touchdown. In the second half, Hunter took a pass slightly underthrown by Sanders and turned it into a touchdown for Colorado when he split a pair of Kansas defenders.

Even though Hunter had another strong game against Kansas, he still had some work to do in order to clinch the Heisman Trophy. And with the loss to Kansas, the regular-season finale was Hunter’s last chance to make his stand.
Hunter delivered, dominating on both sides of the ball in his final game at Boulder. On the first possession of the game, Hunter came up with an interception that set Colorado up to take an early lead. Later on in the first quarter, Hunter took a slant pass 11 yards into the end zone and began to dance like his coach, Deion Sanders.

BYU made the final game of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders’ Colorado careers one to forget.
BYU (11-2) led 20-0 at halftime as many of the flaws that had plagued Colorado through the first two years of Deion Sanders’ tenure reared their ugly heads. The Buffs (9-4) couldn’t get a running game going and the offensive line struggled in pass protection too. After BYU led 10-0 in the first quarter, the Cougars extended their lead when Parker Kingston returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.
The blowout happened even as BYU QB Jake Retzlaff threw two interceptions and backup Gerry Bohanon threw one in his only pass attempt.
Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, got his highlight with a 43-yard TD in the third quarter on a nicely-placed pass from Sanders. But that was about all that went right for the Buffaloes.
Both Hunter and Sanders played for Colorado despite likely being early first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Colorado took out insurance policies for Sanders, Hunter and others ahead of the game in the event of an injury.
The game was a matchup between the two Big 12 teams because of the Alamo Bowl’s selection process. The bowl has traditionally pitted teams from the Big 12 and Pac-12 together, but the Pac-12 dissolved before the 2024 season with just Washington State and Oregon State remaining as members of the conference.
Before the season, the Alamo Bowl said that it’d pick a team that was in the Pac-12 in 2023 and a team that was in the Big 12 in 2023. With Arizona State and Oregon in the College Football Playoff and other former Pac-12 teams not having spectacular seasons, the bowl announced before the end of the 2024 season that it’d take either Arizona State and Colorado against either BYU or Iowa State based on the outcome of the Big 12 title game.
Though it was a game between current Big 12 teams, BYU and Colorado didn’t meet in the regular season. The two teams found themselves on the wrong end of a four-way tie for first with ASU and ISU and therefore missed a chance to play for the conference title and a shot at the College Football Playoff.
The win gives BYU 11 wins for the first time since 2020 and the first time in a non-pandemic season since 2009. Colorado, meanwhile, made a five-win leap in 2024 and looks to sustain that success in 2025 despite the losses of Sanders and Hunter. The Buffaloes have gotten a commitment from five-star QB JuJu Lewis and also added former Liberty QB Kaidon Salter in the transfer portal.
The BYU Cougars delivered a dominant performance in the Alamo Bowl, blowing out the Colorado Buffaloes in what turned out to be the final game for star players Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.
BYU, led by quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, put on a show on both sides of the ball. Sanders threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns, while Hunter racked up over 150 yards receiving and two touchdowns of his own.
The Cougars’ defense was equally impressive, holding the Buffaloes to just 10 points and forcing multiple turnovers throughout the game.
For Hunter and Sanders, this game marked the end of their college careers as they prepare to enter the NFL draft. Both players made a huge impact on the BYU program during their time there, and their leadership will be sorely missed.
As the final seconds ticked off the clock, the Cougars celebrated their decisive victory and sent Hunter and Sanders off with a memorable win in their last game in a BYU uniform.
Adam Sandler just made sure fans were having a Happy holiday by teeing up a first look at the sequel to one of his most beloved comedies.
The Sandman shared a teaser for Happy Gilmore 2 on his Instagram on Wednesday, writing alongside it, “Happy Chanukah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to all!!!!!!”
The sneak peek at the upcoming Netflix film — a follow-up to the 1996 comedy starring Sandler as a short-fused wannabe hockey player who uses his slap shot skills to become a pro golfer — shows Happy back on the golf course in his Boston Bruins jersey.
The short clip offers a glimpse at NFL star Travis Kelce, months after Sandler revealed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had a role in the upcoming film. “It’s great to see you back, Mr. Gilmore,” Kelce, donning what appears to be a waiter uniform, says.

Sandler previously said he had considered casting Taylor Swift’s main squeeze as his son in the movie. “We were like, ‘Imagine if Travis was my first baby, how funny that would be?’ Just a badass,” Sandler said on an episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heightspodcast. In an earlier podcast episode, the Super Bowl champ had denied rumors he had been cast but pleaded for a part, saying, “I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2, but if there is, I’ll be a f—ing extra. Anything to get around Happy Gilmore, an Adam Sandler film, or set — count me in.”
The teaser also sees the return of Modern Family star Julie Bowen as public relations head Virginia Venit, who is also Happy’s love interest, and ends with a graveyard face-off between Happy and his old rival Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald).
Newcomers to the sequel cast include Bad Bunny (shown as a caddy in the teaser), Margaret Qualley, Scott Mescudi (a.k.a. rapper Kid Cudi), Benny Safdie, and Nick Swardson.

Patrick Mahomes joked recently that he planned to gift Travis Kelce “acting lessons” for Christmas. But the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is already venturing into his on-screen career, making an appearance in the first teaser trailer for Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2,” the upcoming follow-up to the 1996 comedy hit.
Kelce, who’s dabbled in TV since early in his NFL career, has the first line in the teaser from Netflix: “It’s great to see you back, Mr. Gilmore,” he says, appearing to play an employee at a golf clubhouse.
Sandler revealed in August that Kelce would be part of the movie after the longtime Chiefs star publicly dreamt of appearing in the sequel, saying on his “New Heights” podcast that he’d do “anything” to earn even a small cameo. Scheduled for a 2025 release, “Happy Gilmore 2” is set to reunite Sandler’s colorful golfer with others from the 1996 original, while also featuring cameos from current pro golfers.
Kelce, meanwhile, is only expanding his entertainment profile while remaining one of Mahomes’ most trusted weapons for the Chiefs, who are aiming to win a third straight Super Bowl this winter. He’s guest-starred on FX’s drama series “Grotesquerie” this year, and is listed as an executive producer on the upcoming 2025 comedy film “My Dead Friend Zoe.” He’s also tabbed for a featured role in a future buddy-cop comedy titled “Loose Cannons.”
