‘Will Trent’ Will Tackle Police Corruption in Season 3 Premiere

Will Trent has been one of ABC‘s top-performing shows across linear and streaming, with the second season continuing the police procedural’s viewership-winning streak with its impressive numbers. Now, with the third season getting closer, slated to premiere on January 7, 2025, more details about the new season are gradually coming out, with the network teasing what to expect from the upcoming Season 3.

Audiences can expect the upcoming season to pick up after the shocking and heartbreaking events of the Season 2 finale, which saw Ramón Rodríguez‘s Will Trent discover the actual person behind Lenny’s (played by French Stewart) murder. Expectations for Will Trent Season 3 were quite high, given how well the first two seasons performed. But judging from the Season 3 premiere’s logline, which ABC recently shared, the third season is shaping up to be no different. And considering everything that Will Trent has discovered during the previous season, the third one may be an emotional ride for the titular special agent. The logline for the premiere episode, titled “I’m a Guest Here,” reads as follows:

“When two off-duty cops are wounded, the GBI must track down Special Agent Will Trent, who recently fled town to help solve the case. As the investigation unfolds, Will is drawn into his past to clear a friend’s name amid rivalries and corruption.”

‘Will Trent’ Season 3 Is Set To Introduce New Faces

The upcoming season will introduce new faces to the series, including Jane the Virgin alum Gina Rodriguez joining the cast in a series regular role. The actress will play Marion Alba, a character described as “a charismatic, confident Assistant District Attorney new to Atlanta.” She will be joined by reality star Ariana Madix (Vanderpump Rules), who will guest star in the series as herself. Additionally, it was also announced that television vet Scott Foley has joined the cast of Will Trent as “the confident and down-to-earth head of emergency,” Dr. Seth McDale.

Returning cast members include Erika Christensen as Angela Polaski, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, and more. Will Trent is inspired by Karin Slaughter‘s series of novels. It follows Will, who, after a difficult upbringing in foster care, does all within his power to ensure that no one ever has to endure abandonment as he did.

Will Trent Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, January 7 at 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. EST. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Hulu.

Trent Alexander-Arnold ‘keen on a new challenge’, tells Liverpool he wants to join Real Madrid – Paper Round

Alexander-Arnold signals intention to leave Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold is “keen to take on a new challenge” and has informed Liverpool he wants to join Real Madrid.

That is according to a report in the Mirror, quoting Spanish outlet Marca. The England international’s contract with The Reds is due to expire in the summer and he has been strongly linked with a move to Los Blancos.

“Trent Alexander-Arnold has told Liverpool he won’t sign a new deal and wants to join Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain,” reads the article.

“Despite Alexander-Arnold’s affection for the club he is keen to take on a new challenge and, this summer, looks to have set his heart on a move to the Spanish capital. Marca claims the 26-year-old has told the Liverpool hierarchy of his decision to leave for Real on a free in the summer.

“It is understood that Los Blancos, the current Champions League holders, are willing to discuss terms once the January transfer window opens. However, the Reds would rather he left as a free agent in the summer than for a fee next month. They still have ambitions of winning multiple pieces of silverware and having Alexander-Arnold will aid their cause.

“The opportunity to play alongside close friend and England team-mate Jude Bellingham is reportedly an added incentive for Alexander-Arnold, who has been pictured out with the Real star in the past.”

Everton yet to offer new deal to Branthwaite

Jarrad Branthwaite has not been offered a new contract at Everton, the Mail claims.

The defender has two years left on his current deal but has attracted interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City.

“Everton are yet to open talks over a new contract for coveted defender Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of the January window amid concerns whether they can afford to make him one of their top earners,” writes the outlet.

“Branthwaite, an England international, was the subject of £50million offers from Manchester United in the summer while neighbours Liverpool and Manchester City are monitoring his progress.

“He is valued at £75 million by Everton but is understood to still be among the lower earners of the Goodison club’s first-team squad.

“The 22-year-old remains a target for rival clubs next month while United, struggling to buy under PSR restrictions, have indicated they will return in the summer.

“Branthwaite has just over two years left on contract though and Mail Sport sources have indicated he would be willing to commit to a new deal at Everton following the takeover by the Friedkin Group.

“United were reportedly willing to offer £160,000 a week to Branthwaite in August but Everton’s top earners are reputed to earn closer to £130,000 a week.”

Chelsea line up replacement for Veiga

Chelsea could replace Renato Veiga with Lecce full-back Patrick Dorgu.

Veiga was left out of Enzo Maresca’s squad for the 2-1 loss against Fulham on Boxing Day and the Express suggests the Portuguese defender’s time at Stamford Bridge could be limited, with Dorgu lined up as his replacement.
“Danish left-back Patrick Dorgu, 20, continues to impress in Serie A with Lecce. Like Veiga, he’s capable of playing defensively or in a midfield role, and is reportedly being watched by Chelsea personnel,” reads an article in the Express.

“According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano though, the Blues face competition. Tottenham are also said to be lining up a move, having been interested in the four-cap international since last summer.

“Dorgu’s current contract runs until 2029, so Lecce are likely to try and hold out for a sizeable fee. But Maresca has proved he’s not afraid to be ruthless when it comes to getting rid of players, or pinpointing targets in the transfer market.

“Veiga signed for a £12m fee from Basel in the summer, penning a seven-year deal. But he’s been most confined to Europa Conference League games this season, with Maresca clearly not considering him worthy of his strongest XI.”

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly expressed his desire to leave the club and join Spanish giants Real Madrid. According to a report from The Independent, the 22-year-old is said to be keen on a new challenge and has informed Liverpool of his intentions to move to Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold has been a key player for Liverpool since breaking into the first team in 2016 and has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the world. However, it appears that he is now ready to take the next step in his career by testing himself in La Liga with Real Madrid.

The news will come as a blow to Liverpool fans, who have seen Alexander-Arnold develop into a fan-favorite at Anfield. The England international has won multiple trophies with the club, including the Premier League and Champions League, and has been a crucial part of Jurgen Klopp’s success.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be willing to let Alexander-Arnold leave, especially given his importance to the team. However, if the player is determined to move to Real Madrid, it may be difficult for the club to stand in his way.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, will be delighted at the prospect of signing a player of Alexander-Arnold’s quality. The Spanish giants have been in the market for a new right-back and see the Liverpool star as the perfect fit for their team.

It remains to be seen how this transfer saga will unfold, but one thing is for certain – Trent Alexander-Arnold is ready for a new challenge and has his sights set on a move to Real Madrid.

Díaz stated that Trent’s discussion with the Anfield hierarchy happened after their latest attempts to sign him to a new contract at Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold’s renewal with the Reds is apparently impossible in light of his ‘seduction’ by Madrid.

The Marca article reports that the local-born right-back knows what Los Blancos is about and represents thanks to his friendship with Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Push came to shove in the recent negotiations with Liverpool, with the club not wanting to go into January without an understanding with their right-back.

It is understood by Marca that Alexander’s desire for a move is not just for footballing reasons but also for a new life experience.

All that remains for Liverpool is to decide whether to let Alexander-Arnold leave for a fee in January or on a free transfer this summer.

Liverpool fans were left stunned today as reports emerged that Trent Alexander-Arnold has informed the club of his desire to transfer to Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old right-back, who has been a key player for Liverpool since breaking into the first team, is said to be keen on a move to the Spanish giants in search of a new challenge.

Alexander-Arnold has reportedly expressed his desire to test himself in La Liga and play alongside some of the world’s best players at Real Madrid.

Liverpool fans will no doubt be disappointed to hear this news, as Alexander-Arnold has been a fan favorite at Anfield since making his debut in 2016.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be willing to let go of one of their most talented players, but if the reports are true, then Trent Alexander-Arnold could soon be donning the famous white shirt of Real Madrid. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.

Trent Alexander-Arnold reportedly tells Liverpool he wants Real Madrid move

Liverpool and England star Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly told the Premier League club that he wants to join Real Madrid this summer, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The report says that Liverpool have been pushing for Alexander-Arnold to sign a new deal at Anfield but that the odds are “more and more unlikely” and that the Reds would rather lose him as a free agent in the summer than sell him in January.

    MORE: Latest Liverpool news

Alexander-Arnold, 26, is out-of-contract this summer and has been recruited to Real by England teammate Jude Bellingham, Marca‘s Jose Felix Diaz wrote on Friday.

Liverpool have hopes of re-signing dynastic trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold. The right back is homegrown and the youngest of the bunch.

Will Alexander-Arnold follow the lead of ex-Reds stars Michael Owen and Steve McManaman by swapping Anfield for the Bernabeu?

Alexander-Arnold is already in the Premier League’s all-time top 25 in assists with 62. That’s 18 away from the 10th-best mark shared by current teammate Salah and former Manchester United star David Beckham.

Does this make sense for Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool, England?

    Talk about three loaded questions.

Liverpool surely don’t want to lose Alexander-Arnold at all, let alone in January. Real Madrid is unlikely to offer a fee anywhere near Alexander-Arnold’s worth in the winter anyway, so the Reds surely would accept the idea of running down Alexander-Arnold’s contract toward as many trophies as possible.

Alexander-Arnold wanting a new challenge and the bright lights of Madrid alongside his pal Bellingham certainly hits a few notes, and we’d all finally get that answer as to whether the cut of his defensive jib is enough for a non-Liverpool system.

As for England, they just want Alexander-Arnold playing often and well. Real Madrid are deeper than Liverpool, but they also lost world-class right back Dani Carvajal to an ACL tear in October. The 32-year-old’s return to full strength at his age is no guarantee, while his back-up Lucas Vazquez is 33.

He’d have every chance to thrive in that position, so there may not ever be a better time if his intention is to test himself on this new stage. And while Liverpool will lose a visionary playmaker, they may be able to get a bit stronger when defending on their right.

According to recent reports, Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly informed Liverpool that he is interested in a move to Real Madrid. The talented right-back has been a key player for the Reds in recent years, but it seems he is now eyeing a new challenge at the Spanish giants.

Alexander-Arnold’s desire to join Real Madrid has reportedly put Liverpool in a difficult position, as they will be reluctant to lose one of their star players. However, the lure of playing for a club of Real Madrid’s stature may prove too tempting for the young defender.

It remains to be seen how Liverpool will respond to Alexander-Arnold’s reported request, but if he does end up making the move to Real Madrid, it will undoubtedly be a big loss for the Anfield club. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing transfer saga.
