    Driver hospitalized after crashing into Tulare County Sheriff's Deputy car

    Visalia Police are investigating a crash involving a Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputy.

    VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) — Visalia Police are investigating a crash involving a Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputy.

    It happened at 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning at Demaree Street and Riggin Avenue.

    Police say the deputy was traveling north on Demaree.

    That’s when a Nissan heading west on Riggin collided with the deputy, striking his passenger side.

    The Nissan came to rest in the intersection, while the deputy’s vehicle ended up in a grassy area of a nearby church.

    The deputy and woman in the Nissan were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

    With 2025 looming on the horizon, Visalia Times-Delta decided to ask local officials, business leaders, and anyone who would take our calls to share their New Year’s resolutions.

    For our efforts, we received the following responses.

    “I really want to reach as many children in our communities as possible to impact their lives in a positive way,” said Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, whose office sponsors various youth sports programs. “In reaching those kids, we’re also reaching their parents and helping to make our communities better.”

    Eagle Mountain Casino NYE Concert

    Party into the new year at Eagle Mountain Casino as Robin Thicke performs live on Dec. 31. Guests should be ready for an unforgettable experience with two shows to choose from.

    NYE Bash Wyndham Visalia

    Wyndham Visalia is the place to be this New Year’s Eve. Dance the night away with live music from Run 4 Cover Band. Food will be provided and ticket prices include a champagne toast at midnight.

    • Where: 9000 W. Airport Drive, Visalia

    • When: Event starts at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

    2025 New Year’s Eve Dance

    The Visalia Convention Center is celebrating the new year with a dance party featuring the band August and DJ Ruditunes. Party favors will be included, and food will be available for purchase. No one under the age of 16 will be allowed, according to event organizers.

    New Year’s Eve at Adventure Park

    Noon Year’s Eve will be celebrated at Adventure Park with a balloon drop at 12 p.m. for guests 4 years old or younger. Children must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. For those a little older, the park will also host a New Year’s Eve Blast from 6 to 9 p.m.

    The Hyde’s New Year’s Eve Party

    The Hyde is set to celebrate it’s first New Year’s Eve at the renovated venue on Mineral King Avenue. Event organizers encourage guests to “dress to impress and get ready to make unforgettable memories” as they countdown to midnight. This adult only event will include a cash bar, small bites, photo booth, dancing, and a complimentary champagne toast.

    New Year’s Eve Soiree at Elderwood
