Great for makeshift bluetooth earbuds
After dealing with the annoying wireless bluetooth earbud market for years, I got tired of dealing with poor sound quality, earbuds constantly falling out (not to mention uncomfortable at night as I am a side sleeper), short battery life, expensive replacements, and batteries that only lasted a year. They are designed to fail. So I decided to go back to wired earbuds, but wanted to maintain wireless functionality. I thought why not try one of these as an adapter similar in design to the Shure RMCE-BT2. I am very pleased with the final result, for under $40 I was able to get a wireless bluetooth headset that is easy to replace, has call functionality, and retains volume and play/pause control. I lose 'hey siri' functionality, but lets be honest siri is useless anyway.

    My previous phones always paired up with my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee's built-in Bluetooth. Unfortunately when I "upgraded" to a Samsung S23 Ultra the music/audio sounds unbearably awful. It connects to the car for calls, can make/receive calls fine, but music sounds like you are listening through a phone receiver; was terrible. This Ugreen device was the solution. So my phone still connects directly to the car for calls, but now also connects to this Ugreen auxiliary device for music. It sounds good, battery life is good. It's extra steps to turn this on and off every time I get in/out of the car which is a minor annoyance; I wish it could automatically turn on and off with the car ignition or radio somehow, and I am not thrilled with having it sticking out from the front of the dash radio. But it does what it's supposed to and works well, so it is worth it for me since I wasn't able to find another more streamlined solution.

    It Works! And Sounds Fine

    I finally have Bluetooth in my 2014 Mazda CX-5! I just wanted to be able to play audiobooks and music from my phone without having to connect a thousand cables first, and for that this thing is spot on.

    Pairing this adapter with my Moto Stylus 5G (with Android 12) was easy, and now it automatically connects every time I get in my car. I also had no trouble connecting the adapter to the car itself; the center console storage … box?… thingy?… has the aux port – a standard headphone jack – and a usb port, so I just leave the thing plugged in in my center console all the time.

    I have not tried making a call with it nor have I done anything else with the microphone so I can't rate those features yet. However, for being able to play audiobooks and music from my phone via Bluetooth, this does exactly what I wanted.

    And, fwiw, I have not noticed any sound distortion with spoken word or music (although the stock radio in the Mazda isn't great to begin with, so who knows).

    My only beef with this adapter is that you can't turn it off. This is annoying and potentially problematic. For one, the range is really high and I keep finding that it remains connected to my phone even once I'm inside and upstairs, with my audiobook or podcast playing without me realizing it. Sure I could unplug the USB cable, but the battery holds a charge for a few hours so that doesn't solve the problem. Plus, I don't want to have to fiddle with cables the next time I get into my car.

    My biggest concern, however, is that if it's always on, then it's always pulling a little bit from the car battery even when the car is turned off. I doubt that the draw is enough to significantly impact the battery in the short term, but what if I go out of town for a few weeks and forget to unplug the adapter from the car before I go?

    That said, I'm still happy with this little adapter. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, it was very easy to set up, and it doesn't negatively impact audio quality, at least for me. I just wish I could turn it off.

    It works well for what I need it for. I do doordash and got a phone without aux so needed another option. It plays the sounds well and I haven't had any major problems. The reason for 4 stars though is as someone else said turning it on and off requires you hold the button for like 5 seconds. though if it gets plugged in it auto turns on. And the range is big enough that if you don't turn it off when you leave your car you'll probably still be connected to it in the house.
    Edit. Found the paper it came with and it does have skip and previous song commands. BUT the ways its done is to hold volume up for 2 seconds to go back, and volume down to go forward. and i would have preferred other ways of doing it
