  • Hogwarts Legacy PC Mod Support Launches Later This Week With Free Update

Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have confirmed plans to launch Hogwarts Legacy mod support for PC, opening the floodgates for players to add whatever their hearts desire to the Harry Potter video game.

The team announced the addition with a special video presentation, below, revealing a release date of January 30, 2025 for a free update that includes the highly requested feature. It’ll only be for PC for now, with the team sharing no news about when or if players can expect to see modding come to consoles.

“We’ve made it easy for everyone. It’s all simplified with official tools provided by us,” Avalanche community manager Chandler Wood said. “For mod creators, you’ll be able to get the official Hogwarts Legacy creator kit, free on the Epic Games Store. The creator kit provides powerful tools right at your fingertips, allowing you to flex your inner developer like the ones here at Avalanche and conjure the magic with custom mods that other players can enjoy, too.”

Hogwarts Legacy mods will almost certainly devolve into chaos immediately as players rush to add Shrek, Thomas the Tank Engine, and more nonsense to the open-world Harry Potter game. Thankfully, Avalanche is here to help fans get a head start. The studio said it’s been working with members of the community to make a few mods available on day one, including creative broom options like dragons and a vacuum cleaner as well as unique cosmetics, an endless dungeon experience to test your combat skills, and a magical creature fetch quest. More community-generated content will no doubt appear in the months ahead, giving players more than enough content to keep them busy as Avalanche looks ahead.

Hogwarts Legacy launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S in February 2023, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions following in May and the Nintendo Switch version following in November. That means it’ll celebrate its two-year anniversary next month with full-on mod support, but the free update is far from the only post-launch support the project has received since it arrived.

Last year alone saw previously PlayStation-exclusive content coming to other platforms as part of a summer update that also added photo mode, new cosmetics, and more. Hogwarts Legacy has sold an incredible 30 million units as of November 2024.

While we wait for mod support to drop, you can read up on why Avalanche says Hogwarts Legacy 2 is one of its “biggest priorities.” You can also see how the sequel may share a few elements with the upcoming Harry Potter TV show.

Exciting news for all PC gamers and Harry Potter fans! Hogwarts Legacy, the highly anticipated open-world RPG set in the wizarding world, will be receiving mod support for the PC version later this week with a free update.

This update will allow players to customize and enhance their Hogwarts experience with a variety of user-created mods. From new spells and potions to character skins and quests, the possibilities are endless for players to personalize their magical journey.

Whether you want to explore Hogwarts in a whole new way or add your favorite characters from the Harry Potter universe, mod support will provide endless opportunities for creativity and experimentation.

Stay tuned for more details on the launch of mod support for Hogwarts Legacy on PC, and get ready to dive into a world of magic and wonder like never before.

  • WWE Star Asuka Shares Scary Safety Update; Consults Police For Help

WWE star Asuka is feeling in danger.

Pro wrestling is arguably one of the most popular sports industries, with its stars being extremely well-known. Over the years, multiple pro wrestlers have shared stalking incidents and other scary situations they have been in with fans.

With fans troubling the stars at airports or stalking them at their homes, things have often turned intense for the athletes. Recently, opening up on a similar situation, former women’s champion Asuka shared the feeling of being in danger.

Tackling the situation publicly, the former champion opened up about it in a series of X(Twitter) posts. Possibly reflecting on a ‘scary’ fan situation, The Empress Of Tomorrow asked fans to not have “romantic feelings” for her.

“Please don’t have romantic feelings for me. It’s meaningless—100% pointless.”

She further stated how she has contacted the police for help and is even afraid of fans approaching her at airports or in cities.

“I’ve been feeling in danger recently. I’ve already consulted the police. At this rate, even if fans approach me at the airport or in the city, I will feel the possibility that something might happen, and it will scare me, making me unable to respond.”

Fans need to understand personal boundaries and make sure to not cross them while interacting with their favorites.

    WWE Return Update On Asuka

Last wrestling Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at Backlash 2024, she has not appeared on television since then. The star went on a hiatus in May and has undergone surgery on a persistent knee injury.

As per a report by Fightful Select, Asuka is now reportedly nearing her return, and the promotion has seemingly begun crafting creative pitches for her.

In other news: WWE has planned ‘something big’ for Penta at WrestleMania 41.

WWE star Asuka took to social media to share a scary safety update with her fans. The Japanese wrestler revealed that she has been receiving threatening messages and has consulted the police for help.

In a post on Twitter, Asuka expressed her concern for her safety and urged her followers to be cautious. She shared that she has been working with law enforcement to address the situation and ensure her safety.

Fans of the WWE star were quick to show their support and concern for Asuka. Many urged her to stay safe and offered words of encouragement during this difficult time.

Asuka’s bravery in speaking out about her safety concerns serves as a reminder of the dangers that public figures can face. It is important for everyone to take threats seriously and seek help when needed.

We wish Asuka all the best in resolving this scary situation and hope that she remains safe and protected.

Christine Baumgartner is not pining over her ex-husband, Kevin Costner. Instead, the former model and handbag designer is ready for new wedding bells to ring after her 18 year marriage to the Dances With Wolves star.

A source told People that Baumgartner, 50, is officially engaged to financier Josh Connor, who proposed to her on Sunday, January 26 during “a simple intimate dinner for two in Santa Barbara” that grew much bigger than what the mother of three expected. “It was about to rain, so almost no one else was on the beach when Josh got down on one knee,” the source told the outlet.

The couple were apparently friends before they became involved romantically, and have been spotted together several times, notably Christmas shopping in New York during December 2024.

For his part, Costner has sparked romance rumors with a few women, primarily country singer Jewel, although he ultimately said that they never dated. He also was seen at a party with Jennifer Lopez in December 2024. Lopez was also newly single after her divorce from Ben Affleck, and is reportedly a huge Yellowstone fan, but they have not been seen together since.

Costner also has children with two of his previous partners: ex-wife Cindy Silva, to whom he was married from 1987 to 1994, and former girlfriend Bridget Rooney. Costner and Silva share Annie, 40, Lily, 37, and Joe, 36, while he and Rooney share Liam, 26.

The Field of Dreams star posted a rare picture of himself with six out of seven children on Monday, December 2, in order to wrap up Thanksgiving weekend and share how grateful he was for “the many really, really special memories I’ve gotten to make with my kids this year.”

  • Apple’s New ‘Game Changer’ iPhone Update Brings Starlink Satellite Access

Apple has just released iOS 18.3, its latest iPhone update (full details here) and the software contained a surprise extra: compatibility with the Starlink satellite network, according to a new report.

“Apple Inc. has been secretly working with SpaceX and T-Mobile US Inc. to add support for the Starlink network in its latest iPhone software, providing an alternative to the company’s in-house satellite-communication service,” according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

ForbesApple Brings Back iPhone 15 Pro For First Time—At Lower Price

Gurman describes the software update that supports the technology as an “under-the-radar move,” and the tie-up between the companies as “a surprise.”

While T-Mobile already had a Starlink satellite option for users to send emergency messages when outside cellular range, it was for Samsung phones only. And Apple’s Emergency SOS via satellite service used the rival Globalstar network.

A post on X from Mario Nawfal, founder of IBC Group, described the update as a “game changer”, saying “Apple quietly adds Starlink to iPhones in iOS 18.3.” Since Apple already has its Globalstar service, why is this a game-changer?

Well, as Nawfal puts it, “The key difference? No more pointing your phone at the sky—Starlink works right from your pocket.” Nawfal’s comment was reposted by Elon Musk, who said that “Medium resolution images, music & audio podcasts should work with the current generation Starlink direct-to-phone constellation. Next generation constellation will do medium resolution video.”

A small number of iPhones on the T-Mobile network have been enabled to work as a beta test, receiving messages saying, “You’re in the T-Mobile Starlink beta. You can now stay connected with texting via satellite from virtually anywhere. To start experiencing coverage beyond, please update to iOS 18.3.”

“Users in the program have a new toggle switch in their iPhone cellular data settings to manage the satellite feature,” Gurman says.

The first version is just for texting, but SpaceX and T-Mobile say they have plans to expand into data connections and voice calls in due course. The service will work automatically, with an iPhone on T-Mobile connecting to SpaceX satellite when out of cellular connectivity. Right now, the number of iPhones in the beta is “minimal, with T-Mobile planning to expand the program in February,” Gurman adds.

Right now, only iPhones in the U.S. have this connectivity, and it applies to handsets from the iPhone 14 onwards.

ForbesTikTok Ban: Apple Issues ‘Unprecedented’ Response For iPhone Users

Apple has just announced its latest iPhone update, and it’s a game changer. The tech giant has partnered with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service to bring high-speed internet access to iPhone users around the world.

With this new update, iPhone users will have the ability to connect to Starlink’s satellite network, providing fast and reliable internet access in even the most remote locations. This partnership will revolutionize the way we stay connected, allowing us to access the internet no matter where we are.

This move by Apple is a huge step forward in bridging the digital divide and ensuring that everyone has access to high-speed internet. With Starlink’s satellite network, iPhone users will have access to lightning-fast internet speeds, making it easier than ever to stay connected, work remotely, and stream content on the go.

This update is sure to be a game changer for iPhone users, and we can’t wait to see the impact it will have on connectivity around the world. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting partnership between Apple and Starlink.

  • Update: Natalie Portman Not In Negotiations for ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2

Update: A source told SWNN that the rumor shared below is not accurate. We don’t have any details to add but as of today, Natalie Portman is not in negotiations to return to Ahsoka Season 2.

BEWARE: THE STORY BELOW HAS BEEN CORRECTED

Ahsoka Season 2 could be bringing back another fan favorite. According to friend of the site Kristian Harloff, Natalie Portman may be close to signing a deal to return as Padmé in the new season.

From what he’s hearing, Dave Filoni has been pushing hard to bring Portman back into the Star Wars fold. This comes after Harloff has recently reported that Ahsoka will bring back Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker, and Ariana Greenblatt’s young Ahsoka. He says he believes the two sides are close to reaching a deal.

If the previous casting reports didn’t come across as a surprise, this one certainly does. Regarding how Padmé will be brought into the story, Harloff speculates that it will be via the World Between Worlds, which may give some insight into how the others may factor in. In Season 1, the World Between Worlds was the vehicle that allowed the show to venture into Clone Wars-era flashbacks. Of course, there are other ways to do flashbacks, so we will have to wait and see how Ahsoka goes about it if they are upping the scale of their story.

Portman has not appeared in a Star Wars project since Revenge of the SithIn 2023, she indicated that she would be open to returning to the role but had not been asked. This wouldn’t be the first time she had made a surprise comeback to a major franchise after a long absence. In 2022 she played a major role in Thor: Love and Thunder after skipping Thor: Ragnarok.

Ahsoka Season 2 will reportedly start production this spring, possibly around April. Thus far, the only reported piece of casting for the upcoming season has been Rory McCann’s recasting as Baylan Skoll. The rest of the main cast is expected to return.

Nate uses his love for Star Wars and movies in general as a way to cope with the pain of being a Minnesota sports fan. When he’s not at the theater, you can usually find Nate reading a comic, listening to an audiobook, or playing a Mario video game for the 1,000th time.

Fans of Natalie Portman may be disappointed to hear that the actress is not currently in negotiations to appear in the second season of the hit Disney+ series “Ahsoka.” Despite rumors circulating online, sources close to the production have confirmed that there are no plans for Portman to join the cast at this time.

While Portman’s fans may have been excited at the prospect of seeing her in the “Star Wars” universe once again, it seems that they will have to wait a little longer for any potential return. In the meantime, viewers can still look forward to seeing Rosario Dawson reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano in the upcoming season.

Stay tuned for more updates on “Ahsoka” and any potential casting news in the future.

  • Furious Netflix fans ‘hate’ major update about biggest sci-fi’s final season

Stranger Things has been one of Netflix’s most popular series, but fans have been left unimpressed as it’s rumoured that the show will be released in two parts.

2025 is set to be a huge year for the streaming platform as it marks the return of its three biggest series: Squid Games (which was released in January), Wednesday, and the fifth season of Stranger Things.

The popular supernatural horror series launched in 2016 and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah SchnappDavid Harbour, and Winona Ryder.

The horror series set in the 80s has gripped fans over the years, but a new rumour has frustrated fans.

On a Reddit page for the show, it was speculated: ‘STRANGER THINGS Season 5 is rumoured to be split into 2 parts – Expected to release in October and November this year.’

Fans were unimpressed and lamented that the split season was a marketing ploy from Netflix that ‘killed’ the excitement for fans.

GoodOmens182: ‘I hate when they do this. Aside from that, it’s literally been 5 years since season 4 and most people are past caring. Just release it.’

‘Not surprising but I’d prefer they just drop it all at once like seasons 1-3,’ li700 commented.

‘Ugh i hate the split seasons it kills the vibe and hype tbh!!!! the wait in between is always just too long and i hated it in 4 bc i was thinking about it and theorizing and reading things for so long but then was disappointed in the final episodes because i had built them up so much in the wait lol. would rather just watch it all!!!!!’ said iilizabeth.

‘This is ridiculous. Mark my words Netflix is gauging how far they can go to adopt the traditional weekly releases soon enough. More money for them if they do. Cannot believe that after wait since 2022 we have to wait to watch it in two parts. What a joke,’ said PalindromicPalindrom.

Others also emphasised that a split season could mean that the series is unable to be put forward for certain awards.

Shadybug commented: ‘They need to be very careful about how they release a split schedule. Because of how S4 was released over the summer, it divided the season along the eligibility date for award nomination.’

Not all fans were too disturbed by the split, with some suggesting it would be good as it would stop them binging it all at once.

‘I don’t agree that they divide the series into two parts, the thread of the series is lost. But on the other hand, I appreciate it because otherwise I would finish the series in one day,’ said Quentin_Tarantino_.

One commenter, Leemski, also added that all would be forgiven so long as the season is good: ‘Hate this trend of split seasons, but all will be forgiven if s5 delivers.’

The earlier seasons of Stranger Things were released at once on the platform but Netflix made a change and released the fourth season in two parts in 2022.

The first seven episodes of the fourth season were released on May 27 and the final two episodes wrapping up the season debuted on July 1.

Although Netflix has yet to officially confirm when in 2025 it will release the fifth season, anticipation has already been huge with eight episodes predicted to be released.

Stranger Things is set to return in 2025.

Attention all sci-fi fans! Netflix has just announced a major update regarding the final season of one of its biggest sci-fi series, and fans are absolutely furious.

After months of anticipation, Netflix revealed that the upcoming season will be the last for the beloved show. While many fans were devastated to hear the news, what really set off a firestorm of anger was the decision to release the entire season at once, rather than airing it weekly as with previous seasons.

Fans took to social media to express their outrage, with many declaring that they “hate” the streaming platform for ruining their viewing experience. Some even went as far as to cancel their subscriptions in protest.

It’s clear that emotions are running high among fans of this beloved sci-fi series. Will Netflix reconsider their decision in response to the backlash? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Final Baldur’s Gate 3 update is here for cross-play stress testing

After an unplanned early release on PlayStation 5 yesterday, the final major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for stress testing on all platforms.

To get in on Patch 8 early, players must sign up on the website (Xbox users need an app) and hope you’re lucky enough to be chosen in one of several waves of invites Larian Studios will be sending throughout the testing period. Or you might have it already installed on your PS5 through an unintentional update that could brick your saves. Larian recommends reverting back to Patch 7 by uninstalling and reinstalling your game.

Patch 8 is a big one, bringing cross-play multiplayer between all platforms, a detailed photo mode, 12 new subclasses, and split-screen co-op for Xbox Series S players.

Cross-play looks relatively simple to setup in Larian’s video tutorial. After enabling it in the options, players can create a lobby and invite others via their Larian Network account names. Joining games is easy too, and the game will prompt you with what mods to download should the host of that lobby require them. However, Larian warns PC players hoping to play with console friends that they will need to limit themselves to 100 mods that work on all platforms.

The new subclasses give you an excuse to start up another playthrough too. Here’s a list of every new subclass and their corresponding starter class:

Larian hasn’t put a date on when to expect the final version of Patch 8 to go live other than sometime this year. Once that happens, the studio will be moving on from the series to focus on something outside Dungeons & Dragons.

Exciting news for Baldur’s Gate 3 fans! The final update for the highly anticipated game is here, and it includes cross-play stress testing. Players will now have the opportunity to test out the cross-play functionality with friends on different platforms.

This update marks a significant milestone in the development of Baldur’s Gate 3, as players will now be able to experience the game with their friends regardless of what platform they are playing on. Whether you’re on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, you can now team up and embark on epic adventures together.

The cross-play stress testing will help developers identify any potential issues and ensure a smooth experience for players when the game officially launches. This is a great opportunity for fans to get a taste of what’s to come and provide valuable feedback to the development team.

So gather your party and get ready to dive into the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 with your friends. The final update is here, and the cross-play stress testing is underway. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to be a part of the game’s development process!

  • Injury update for Lakers vs 76ers game

The Los Angeles Lakers are riding a four-game winning streak and have started their six-game Grammy road trip with two wins in a row. They will look to extend their positive momentum on Tuesday when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers will be without several key players, including two-time scoring time Joel Embiid and nine-time All-Star Paul George. While the Lakers are mostly healthy now, they will still be without two key role players.

Guard Gabe Vincent will miss his second straight game due to knee soreness. In addition, forward Jarred Vanderbilt, who returned on Saturday after being out for nearly a full calendar year after suffering a foot injury, will sit out Tuesday’s game.

The good news, however, is that forward Rui Hachimura, who missed L.A.’s last two games with a calf ailment, will not only play but will return to the starting lineup.

Los Angeles is in fifth place in the Western Conference with a 26-18 record. After facing the Sixers, its next game will be on Thursday against the Washington Wizards before it heads to Madison Square Garden for a showdown with the New York Knicks on Saturday.

This article originally appeared on LeBron Wire: Injury update for Lakers vs 76ers game

Unfortunately, the Lakers will be without LeBron James and Anthony Davis for their upcoming game against the 76ers. Both players are still recovering from injuries and are not yet ready to return to the court. This is a tough blow for the Lakers, as they will be missing two of their key players for this important matchup. However, the team is optimistic that both James and Davis will be back in action soon. In the meantime, the Lakers will need to rely on their depth and teamwork to secure a win against the 76ers. Stay tuned for further updates on their injury status. #Lakers #76ers #InjuryUpdate

  • Kentucky basketball injury update: Lamont Butler sidelined with shoulder injury

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — One starter in, one starter out for Kentucky basketball.

Fifth-year senior guard Lamont Butler, who has an injured shoulder, won’t play Tuesday night versus Tennessee. The 6-foot-2, 208-pound California native was listed as “out” on the SEC’s availability report, which posted at 5 p.m. ET Tuesday, two hours before the Wildcats and Volunteers were set to square off at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Tuesday will be the third game this season Butler has missed because of injury. He sat out consecutive games (Gonzaga and Colgate) last month.

Butler paces the Wildcats in assists (4.8) and steals (1.76) per game. His 13.2 points per outing is No. 2 among UK players, trailing fellow guard Otega Oweh‘s 15.9.

While Butler won’t take the floor, another fifth-year senior, forward Andrew Carr, is back after a one-game absence. Carr started UK’s first 18 games this season before sitting out last week’s loss at Vanderbilt with a back injury.

Carr averages 10.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 27 minutes per game. He’s made more than half his shots (53.9%; 69 for 128) from the field during the 2024-25 campaign. That’s the second-best percentage on the team after center Amari Williams at 56.3% (67 of 119).

Kentucky basketball injury update: Lamont Butler sidelined with shoulder injury

The Kentucky Wildcats are facing another setback as guard Lamont Butler has been sidelined with a shoulder injury. Butler suffered the injury during a recent practice and is expected to be out for at least a few weeks.

Head coach John Calipari expressed his disappointment over Butler’s injury, stating that he was looking forward to seeing the sophomore guard continue to develop and contribute to the team this season.

Butler, who played in all 31 games last season, averaged 4.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. His absence will create a void in the Wildcats’ backcourt rotation, forcing other players to step up and fill the void.

The team is hopeful that Butler will make a swift recovery and be able to return to action as soon as possible. In the meantime, fans are encouraged to support Butler and the rest of the team as they navigate through this injury setback. Stay tuned for more updates on Butler’s recovery progress.
