  • USC football poaches GM Chad Bowen away from Notre Dame

At long last, USC football has its new general manger. The Trojans are hiring former Notre Dame general manager Chad Bowden for the same role, according to multiple sources.

Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman brought Bowden with him from Cincinnati when Freeman was hired as Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator in 2021. Bowden was a recruiting staffer with the Bearcats, but he became Freeman’s first hire in South Bend. Bowden was named Notre Dame’s general manager in March after Michigan made a run at hiring him away. He’d been Notre Dame’s director of recruiting prior to being promoted to GM.

Bowden was named FootballScoop’s Player Personnel Director of the Year as voted by his peers earlier this month. He leaves Notre Dame following a successful season for the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame went 14-2 and lost to Ohio State 34-23 in the national championship.

At USC, Bowden is expected to make approximately $1 million annually, according to multiple sources.

Bowden, 30, inherits a USC football program looking to tighten up its roster building operation. USC has had some high profile recruiting misses from the high school ranks and in the transfer portal in the last two years.

USC had been looking to upgrade its personnel staff for over a year. USC athletic director Jen Cohen pursued Alabama general manager Courtney Morgan multiple times, but he chose to stay in Tuscaloosa. Current USC general manager Dave Emerick is expected to stay at USC but work in a different role moving forward.

    (Photo: Tom Loy – @TomLoy247, 247Sports)

Bowden has front office experience in his blood. Bowden’s father, Jim Bowden, was named general manager of the Cincinnati Reds at 31 in 1992, at the time the youngest general manager in the history of Major League Baseball. He also was the general manager for the Montreal Expos and Washington Nationals. He resigned from the Nationals in 2009 and has been a television analyst as well as a national writer for The Athletic.

In a shocking move, USC football has poached General Manager Chad Bowen away from Notre Dame. Bowen, who has been instrumental in the success of the Fighting Irish in recent years, will now bring his talents to the Trojans as they look to elevate their program to new heights.

This move is sure to shake up the college football world, as Bowen’s keen eye for talent and strategic approach to team-building have been key factors in Notre Dame’s success. USC is undoubtedly thrilled to have him on board and is looking forward to the impact he will have on their program.

Fans of both schools will be closely watching how this move plays out, as USC looks to establish themselves as a powerhouse in college football with Bowen leading the way. Only time will tell how this decision will ultimately impact both programs, but one thing is for certain – the Trojans are making a bold statement with this hire.

    Halftime Report

After a tough loss on the road their last time out, Nebraska looks much better today on their home court. A win is still up for grabs for either team after one quarter, but Nebraska is up 33-31 over USC.

Nebraska entered the game with four straight defeats and they’re well on their way to making it five. Can they turn things around, or will USC hand them another loss? Only time will tell.

    What to Know

We’ve got another exciting Big Ten matchup on schedule as the USC Trojans and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are set to tip at 9:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Coming off a loss in a game the Trojans were expected to win, they now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

Last Saturday, USC lost to Wisconsin at home by a decisive 84-69 margin.

USC’s loss came about despite a quality game from Saint Thomas, who went 7 for 11 en route to 19 points plus two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashaun Agee, who went 6 for 11 en route to 15 points plus two steals.

Meanwhile, Nebraska’s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Maryland by a score of 69-66. That’s two games in a row now that the Cornhuskers have lost by exactly three points.

Despite their loss, Nebraska saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brice Williams, who had 14 points plus three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Andrew Morgan was another key player, going 7 for 12 en route to 17 points plus five rebounds.

USC’s defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Nebraska, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. USC hasn’t had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 77 points per game. However, it’s not like Nebraska struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 76.6. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.

    Odds

Nebraska is a solid 6-point favorite against USC, according to the latest college basketball odds.

The oddsmakers had a good feel for the line for this one, as the game opened with the Cornhuskers as a 5.5-point favorite.

    The over/under is 145.5 points.

  • Juwan Gary’s Career High Not Enough, Nebraska Falls to USC

Nebraska men’s basketball’s hopes of going back to the NCAA Tournament are getting slimmer by the day.

The Huskers have now lost five consecutive games, including Wednesday’s 78-73 disappointment to USC. Nebraska is now 12-7 on the year and 2-6 in the Big Ten Conference while Southern California improves to 12-7 overall and 4-4 in the league.

After 20 consecutive home wins, NU has now lost back-to-back contests at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Juwan Gary and Connor Essegian combined to score Nebraska’s first 22 points, giving the Big Red the lead for much of the final nine minutes of the first half. USC opened the second half on an 11-6 run and never trailed the rest of the way.

Nebraska despite a stretch of nearly five minutes without a made shot kept the game interesting and never trailed by more than five points. The Huskers tied the game multiple times, including on a Brice Williams 3 with 1:19 to go.

But USC answered with a triple of their own and Nebraska’s offense turned into “stand around and hope” mode, settling for a pair of layups after burning a bunch of clock as the Trojans made their free throws on the other end to seal the game.

For the first time this season, Nebraska lost a game when the opponent shot worse than 39% from deep. USC made just 6-of-21 from beyond the arc as part of a 44.3% shooting night.

The Huskers shot 49.1% for the game, including 5-of-24 from 3.

Gary finished with a career-high 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting, including 0-for-5 form deep. The Husker senior added three rebounds and a blocked shot.

Williams, after taking 16 minutes to even put up a shot, eventually got rolling and scored 17 shots.

Nebraska will take the losing streak on the road this weekend, facing Wisconsin Sunday. Tip from Madison is slated for noon CST on the Big Ten Network.

In a thrilling matchup between Nebraska and USC, Juwan Gary put on a show with a career-high performance, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win for the Cornhuskers.

Gary, a standout forward for Nebraska, erupted for 30 points, showcasing his scoring ability and versatility on the court. He was dominant in the paint, hitting shots from all over the floor and grabbing rebounds with authority.

Despite Gary’s heroics, Nebraska ultimately fell short against USC, as the Trojans managed to pull away in the second half and secure the victory.

While it may have been a tough loss for Nebraska, Juwan Gary’s standout performance serves as a reminder of his immense talent and potential. With his scoring ability and all-around game, Gary is sure to be a key player for the Cornhuskers moving forward.

Stay tuned for more exciting performances from Juwan Gary and the Nebraska basketball team as they look to bounce back from this tough defeat.

  • Desmond Claude, Rashaun Agee help USC deal Nebraska fifth straight loss, 78-73

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) Desmond Claude had 21 points, Rashaun Agee scored all 14 of his in the second half and Southern California rallied last in a 78-73 victory over Nebraska on Wednesday night, extending the Cornhuskers’ losing streak to five.

Brice Williams followed his layup with a 3-pointer to pull Nebraska even at 69 with 1:19 left. Claude answered with a 3-pointer and USC stayed in front by going 6 for 6 at the free-throw line in the final 17 seconds. Claude hit the first two and the final four came from Wesley Yates III, who made all nine of his foul shots and scored 17 with four steals.

Claude made 8 of 18 shots and added six assists for the Trojans (12-7, 4-4), who have three Big Ten road wins in their first season in the conference. Agee came off the bench to sink 4 of 6 from 3-point range and grab eight rebounds. Saint Thomas scored 11.

Juwan Gary scored a career-high 27 to lead the Cornhuskers (12-7, 2-6), who have lost two straight at home after winning 20 in a row in Lincoln. He made 11 of 19 shots but missed all five of his 3-point attempts. Williams had 17 points and reserve Connor Essegian hit three 3-pointers and scored 15.

Gary had 16 points and half of Nebraska’s 14 baskets to help the Cornhuskers take a 33-31 lead into the break. Yates had nine points and Claude scored eight, hitting a jumper with seven seconds left to get USC within a possession.

The Cornhuskers travel to play No. 18 Wisconsin on Sunday. The Trojans will host UCLA on Monday.

Desmond Claude and Rashaun Agee were the heroes for USC as they helped the Trojans deal Nebraska their fifth straight loss with a 78-73 victory.

Claude led the way for USC with a team-high 22 points, including some clutch baskets down the stretch to secure the win. Agee also had a strong performance, chipping in with 15 points and providing a spark off the bench.

The Trojans were able to overcome a slow start and a resilient Nebraska team thanks to the stellar play of Claude and Agee. Their contributions on both ends of the court were crucial in securing the victory and improving USC’s record to 4-1 on the season.

With this win, USC continues to build momentum and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the college basketball landscape. Claude and Agee’s performances will surely be remembered as they helped lead the Trojans to another impressive victory.

The victory was so close, but yet so far away for the Nebraska men’s basketball Sunday against Maryland on the road, which has been a theme for NU over the last month.

A 9-0 run – capped by two free throws by Brice Williams – tied the contest at 66 with 1:02 remaining in the game at the Xfinity Center, but a Ja’Kobi Gillespie layup with 40 seconds left followed by an Ahron Ulis turnover put the nail in the coffin for the Huskers’ fourth-straight loss.

Andrew Morgan poured in a team-high 17 points off the bench while Williams finished with 14 for NU’s only double-digit scorers. Nebraska actually outshot the Terrapins (46.6% to 44.8%), but Maryland shot 40% from beyond the arc to help their cause.

With the season spiraling after such a promising start, the Huskers return home to take on a USC team who’s had their own struggles.

Here’s all you need to know as the Huskers face the Trojans at PBA for a Wednesday night showdown.

Outlook: Andy Enfield led USC to rarely seen success on the court during his 11 years in Los Angeles which included an Elite Eight appearance in 2021, but he could never garner the support he needed to thrive leading to his resignation after taking the head coaching position at SMU. As a result, the Trojans brought in one of the most robust head coaches in the sport in Eric Musselman, who was run out from Arkansas after the Hogs poached John Calipari from Kentucky. Musselman peaked early by reaching two Elite Eights and one Sweet 16 within his first four seasons at Arkansas, but a 16-17 record in 2024 soured things in Fayetteville.

The roster turnover for USC was one of the busiest of any program in the sport with only two of 14 players from the 2023-2024 squad returning under Musselman. Of those two – Harrison Hornery and JD Plough – combined for not even 12 minutes a game. That means 12 transfers and five true freshmen replenished the roster resulting in a 11-7 so far in the 2024-2025 season.

These changes have led to five players averaging double figures for the Trojans, including leading scoring Desmond Claude (16 PPG, Xavier), Chibuzo Agbo (12.4 PPG, Boise State), Omaha native Saint Thomas (11 PPG, Northern Colorado), Wesley Yates III (10.7 PPG, Yale) and Terrance Williams II (10.6 PPG, Michigan).

The rotation also includes 6-foot-10 starting center Josh Cohen who’s averaging 7.8 points and a lower-than-expected 2.4 rebounds per contest. Cohen came over from UMass to spend his final season in college basketball in the California sunshine. Another graduate student transfer, Rahsuan Agee comes over from Bowling Green where he averages 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game off the bench. San Diego sophomore transfer Kevin Patton Jr. has seen action in 16 of the 18 games this season with a pair of starts chipping in nearly four points a game.

Neither team going into Wednesday have great defenses – especially NU as of late – as the Trojans have allowed the fourth-most points to opponents this season in the Big Ten at 72.3 per contest. The offense is sneaky efficient though, ranking sixth in field goal (48.4%) and three-point percentage (35.2%) while sitting eighth in free throws (74%).

Playing Maryland as close as they did on the road inspired a little confidence in the Huskers, but a loss is still a loss. Wednesday’s contest looks to be pivotal moving forward in conference play as Nebraska follows the Trojans with traveling to No. 18 Wisconsin, hosting No. 17 Illinois and on the road against No. 15 Oregon. A win could swing some momentum for a team in desperate need of some. I’m optimistic about this matchup. Give me a Nebraska win to snap the losing streak and get off the schnide.

  • No. 4 USC routs Purdue for 14th consecutive win

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Freshman Avery Howell scored a season-high 18 points, JuJu Watkins added 16 points and seven rebounds and No. 4 Southern California nearly pitched a second-quarter shutout as it routed Purdue 79-37 on Wednesday.

The Trojans (18-1, 8-0 Big Ten) allowed just two points in the second quarter en route to their 14th consecutive win. Four conference victories have come by 20 or more points.

Kendall Puryear led Purdue (7-12, 0-8) with 10 points as the Boilermakers lost their seventh straight. Purdue has losses to each of the top four teams in The Associated Press Top 25.

Destini Lombard scored all eight of her points in the first four minutes as the Boilermakers jumped to a surprising 16-10 first-quarter lead.

But the Trojans responded with a 31-0 run that didn’t end until Jordyn Poole beat the shot-clock buzzer with a mid-range jumper at the 1:57 mark in the second quarter. Southern Cal still led 46-18 at halftime, and Purdue never recovered.

    No. 6 UCONN 100, VILLANOVA 57

STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Paige Bueckers had 21 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in just three quarters to help No. 6 UConn rout Villanova.

Sarah Strong had 22 points and Kaitlyn Chen added a season-high 17 for the Huskies (18-2, 9-0 Big East). They have won 29 straight conference regular-season games.

Jasmine Bascoe had 15 points for Villanova (10-10, 4-4). Maddie Burke and Maddie Webber each added 11.

Bueckers had 19 points in the first half, nine in a 3:43 span. UConn had runs of 12-0, 10-0 and 10-0 in the half and led 58-32 at the break.

With the Huskies leading by 42 points at the end of the third quarter, none of the starters played in the fourth quarter. A basket by freshman Allie Ziebell with 2:38 left to play made it 100-54 as the Huskies had their second 100-point game of the season.

    OKLAHOMA ST. 60, No. 9 TCU 59

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Stailee Heard scored 17 points, Jadyn Wooten scored 10 of her 14 in the fourth quarter, and Oklahoma State rallied to beat No. 9 TCU, ending the Horn Frogs’ 10-game winning streak.

Anna Gret Asi added 10 points for Oklahoma State (16-3, 6-2 Big 12), which trailed by 15 points at halftime, cut the lead to eight after three quarters, then outscored the Cowgirls 20-11 in the final period.

It was the Cowgirls’ first win over a top-10 opponent since defeating No. 7 UCLA on Dec. 8, 2017.

Heard’s 3-pointer with 1:12 left gave Oklahoma State a 58-55 lead. Asi added two free throws to make it 60-55 with 20.7 left. But the Cowgirls missed four free throws and TCU made four straight foul shots to pull the Frogs to within 60-59.

Sedona Prince had 22 points and 13 rebounds for the Horned Frogs (19-2, 7-1), who held Oklahoma State to eight points in the second quarter. Hailey Van Lith added 12 points and eight rebounds.

No. 16 WEST VIRGINIA 89, ARIZONA ST. 59

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — JJ Quinerly scored 29 points, Kylee Blacksten added 24 and No. 16 West Virginia raced to a win over Arizona State for the 900th win in program history.

Jordan Harrison scored 11 points with eight assists and Sydney Shaw added 10 points for the Mountaineers (16-3, 6-2 Big 12 Conference), who won the only other meeting between the teams in 1989.

Jalyn Brown scored 12 points for the Sun Devils (8-12, 2-6), who have lost five straight. Kennedy Fauntleroy added 14 points and seven rebounds and Jyah Lovett had 10 points.

Quinerly had 10 points as the Mountaineers hit 10 of 15 shots to race to a 28-9 lead after one quarter. West Virginia was 4 of 6 on 3-pointers while the Sun Devils were 4 of 14 overall.

No. 21 MICHIGAN ST. 82, PENN ST. 61

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Theryn Hallock scored 17 points, Julia Ayrault added 16 and No. 21 Michigan State beat Penn State for its fourth straight victory.

Michigan State (16-3, 6-2 Big Ten Conference) has also won four straight in the series and eight of the last nine.

Jocelyn Tate scored 12 of Michigan State’s opening 27 points in building a 12-point lead. The Spartans extended their lead to 41-24 at the break after scoring 18 points off 18 Penn State turnovers.

Michigan State’s lead reached 31 points midway through the third quarter following a 19-3 run, with eight points from Ayrault.

Hallock, Ayrault and Tate each made three of Michigan State’s 13 3-pointers to counter Moriah Murray’s career-high-tying eight 3-pointers for Penn State.

Tate finished with 15 points, five assists and three blocks for Michigan State. Grace VanSlooten added 10 points.

    No. 24 MICHIGAN 70, No. 23 MINNESOTA 65

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Freshman Syla Swords scored 23 points, eight in the fourth quarter, and No. 24 Michigan edged No. 23 Minnesota.

Olivia Olson, a freshman from New Hope, Minnesota, added 19 points for the Wolverines (14-4, 5-3 Big Ten Conference), including a jumper to open the fourth quarter that gave them a 55-53 lead. Swords followed that with a 3-pointer and the defense held the Golden Gophers (17-3, 5-3) to 4-of-15 shooting.

Mila Holloway, another freshman, scored 12 points for Michigan, which has won 9 of 11 in the series to close within 36-34 after 70 games. The Wolverines won their fourth straight with their first win in six games against ranked teams.

Amaya Battle scored 25 points for the Golden Gophers, who were 11-0 at home. It was the first top 25 matchup at Minnesota in five seasons. Annika Stewart added 16 points off the bench and Grace Grocholski had 12.

Stewart had 13 points on 4-of-4 shooting and Battle 12 on 5-of-6 shooting as the Golden Gophers scored the last nine points of the second quarter to lead 37-33 at the half. Stewart knocked down a 3-pointer and Battle contributed a three-point play. The Wolverines missed their last nine shots of the second quarter to finish the stanza at 2 of 16.

No. 4 USC continues their dominance, routing Purdue for their 14th consecutive win. The Trojans showed their strength on both ends of the court, overwhelming the Boilermakers with their offensive firepower and suffocating defense.

Led by their star player, USC put on a clinic, showcasing their depth and talent. The team’s chemistry was on full display, as they moved the ball with precision and executed their plays flawlessly.

Purdue struggled to keep up with USC’s pace and intensity, as the Trojans’ relentless pressure forced turnovers and disrupted their offensive flow. The Boilermakers were simply outmatched by the superior skill and athleticism of USC.

With this win, USC solidifies their status as a top contender in college basketball and sends a message to the rest of the country that they are a force to be reckoned with. The Trojans are on a roll and show no signs of slowing down as they look ahead to the rest of the season.

USC vs Nebraska College Basketball Betting Preview

I think this is a good buy-low opportunity on Nebraska, which has to eventually win a game after four consecutive losses, including two that came by one possession and another that went to overtime.

Not to mention, those four opponents shot a combined 58-for-122 (48%) from 3, so I’d imagine some positive regression will hit the Huskers soon enough.

USC has been playing much better lately, especially on the offensive side of the rock. But I don’t want to get too high on the Trojans, especially after they shot the lights out against a lifeless Iowa defense and took down a short-handed Illinois team that was without point guard Kasparas Jakucionis.

More importantly, I hate this matchup for USC.

The Trojans are an interior-based offense, scoring 35 paint points per game (per CBB Analytics) while ranking last in the Big Ten in 3-point rate (per KenPom).

They love creating off the dribble with their trio of Desmond Claude, Wesley Yates III and Saint Thomas, and they love cutting off those actions with their wings and forwards. They’ll run the offense through the post with typical posting sets alongside inside-out dribble handoff sets. And they adore shooting in the mid-range.

But Fred Hoiberg’s squad packs it in more than any college basketball defense. The Cornhuskers’ MO is complete and total post-and-paint denial, which explains why they rank in the top 20 nationally in paint points per game allowed (per CBB Analytics) and in the bottom 10 in 3-point rate allowed (per KenPom).

You have to beat the Huskers over the top and with efficient catch-and-shoot creation, which the Trojans won’t do. It’ll be tough for them to run their offense against Nebraska’s stout interior set defense.

On the other end of the court, Nebraska will run its secondary, motion-based, inside-out dribble handoff-based offense.

While USC’s roster is filled with versatile, switchable defenders, the Trojans have surprisingly graded out poorly when defending secondary actions. They don’t have a great overall defense, as they’ve been gashed at the rim and continue to allow too many 3s.

So, I think the Cornhuskers can run their stuff here. They can be a little too Brice Williams-reliant at times, but he’s a more efficient scorer at home, and he’s been very efficient in ball-screen dribble creation this year, which could be valuable against a USC defense that can’t stay in front of the dribble.

Ultimately, behind Williams and a strong defensive effort, I’m banking on Nebraska snapping its four-game losing streak convincingly.

USC vs Nebraska Predictions, Picks, Odds for Wednesday, January 22

The USC Trojans will be facing off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday, January 22 in what promises to be an exciting college basketball matchup. Both teams have had their fair share of ups and downs this season, but they will be looking to secure a crucial win in this non-conference game.

USC comes into this game with a record of 14-3, while Nebraska sits at 7-11. The Trojans have shown flashes of brilliance this season, with wins over top-ranked teams like Oregon and Stanford. On the other hand, the Cornhuskers have struggled at times, but they have shown potential with victories over Purdue and Iowa.

In terms of predictions, USC is favored to win this game. The Trojans have a strong offense led by guards Jonah Mathews and Ethan Anderson, who are averaging a combined 25 points per game. They also have a solid defense that ranks in the top 20 nationally in points allowed per game.

Nebraska, on the other hand, will need to rely on their leading scorer, guard Cam Mack, who is averaging 12 points and 6 assists per game. The Cornhuskers will also need a strong performance from forward Dachon Burke Jr., who is averaging 11 points per game.

In terms of picks, I believe USC will come out on top in this game. The Trojans have more depth and experience than the Cornhuskers, and they have shown that they can compete with the top teams in the country. I predict a final score of USC 75, Nebraska 65.

As for the odds, USC is currently listed as a 7-point favorite, with the over/under set at 140.5 points. This game has the potential to be high-scoring, so I would lean towards taking the over in this matchup.

Overall, this game should be an exciting one to watch, with both teams looking to make a statement. USC will be looking to continue their winning ways, while Nebraska will be hoping to pull off an upset. Stay tuned for what should be a thrilling contest on Wednesday night.

  • Nebraska Men’s Basketball Needs to End Losing Streak vs. Inconsistent USC

Nebraska basketball has had a disastrous start to conference play after the season began with such promise.

The Huskers started the year 12-2 before the Iowa game changed everything. After building a second-half lead, Nebraska completely collapsed on the road against Iowa and then melted in overtime. The team has not looked the same since.

The very next game, the Huskers were blown out 104-68 on the road at Purdue. Their conference record sits at 2-5 after four consecutive losses to Big Ten opponents. These losses have taken their NCAA Tournament hopes and put them in serious jeopardy.

Now, Nebraska has a chance to end that four-game losing streak against an opponent that has also struggled as of late. Because of everything that is on the line, Nebraska has no choice but to win this game.

The Trojans have been one of the most confusing teams in the Big Ten this season. They struggled in the nonconference and were only 5-3 when they played their first Big Ten opponent of the season. They lost that game to Oregon by eight points at home, but then they turned things around the next game.

They destroyed Washington on the road to get their first conference win of the season and then rattled off three more consecutive victories over nonconference opponents to gain some momentum. However, their next two Big Ten games did not go the way they wanted. They lost to Michigan and Indiana by double figures and dropped their conference record to 1-3.

But then something unexpected happened in the next game. They upset No. 13 Illinois on the road by 10 points. It was their best win of the season by far, and it gave them enough momentum to also beat Iowa at home in the next game by 10 points.

They seemed like they had surging momentum, and that their season had finally turned around, until their most recent game against Wisconsin.

The Trojans were blown out on their home floor by the No. 24 Badgers, bringing their momentum to a screeching halt. That is what the lead-up has been for USC heading into this game with Nebraska. Similarly to the Huskers, they are an inconsistent team that needs to string some wins together.

This game against USC is the perfect opportunity for Nebraska to end its losing streak. The Trojans are not a consistently good team as they have shown the last few weeks. New head coach Eric Musselman has brought enthusiasm to the program, but not consistency. The Huskers need to take advantage of that fact.

USC is talented and has shown itself to be dangerous at times, but if Nebraska wants to go back to the NCAA Tournament they have no choice but to start winning games like this one.

The Nebraska Men’s Basketball team has been struggling as of late, losing their last few games in a row. One of the biggest challenges they face is their upcoming matchup against the inconsistent USC Trojans.

The Huskers need to end their losing streak and come out strong against USC. They have the talent and potential to win, but they need to play with more consistency and focus.

The key to victory for Nebraska will be strong defense, efficient offense, and limiting turnovers. They need to play smart and aggressive, and not let the Trojans get the best of them.

It’s time for the Huskers to step up and show what they’re made of. They have the opportunity to turn things around and get back on track with a win against USC. Let’s hope they rise to the occasion and end their losing streak once and for all.
