I decided to try the rechargeable nail dust collector because I’ve been doing my own nails more often lately. It felt like a good idea to minimize the mess while working with acrylics. The suction power caught my attention. It did do a solid job at sucking up nail dust and kept my workspace cleaner than before. I like how compact it is, making it easy to store and use in a small area. The reusable filter is a nice touch as well, saving some hassle in the cleanup process. However, it can get a bit noisy when in use, which might be distracting during a session. Also, it requires frequent emptying if you’re doing a longer session since the dust can fill up quickly. I do my nails at home, along with a handful of diy crafts so I’ve been wanting a dust collector for quite a while. I appreciate the fact this is rechargeable with a battery that takes around 2.5 hours to charge, which gives you about 5 hours of use time. As directed, I charged it right away, with the red light indicator that turned green once complete. The top easily comes off and is attached by magnets. Be sure to line the top on though, in order for the fan to work properly. This is easy to do so as there are little tabs on the sides to be able to lift it up and change out the filter when needed, as well as clean off the machine. I learned right away from experience, and the fan definitely won’t even run with the top off. This is definitely a nice and pleasant surprise in a safety feature! Moving on, the fan operates with three different speeds, one louder and stronger than the next but not as loud as some other dust collectors I’ve heard. For someone with sensitivity to dust, and occasional allergies, the ability to be able to diffuse the fumes and dust, really makes the difference in being comfortable while doing my nails. I spend a lot of time on them and I love that I can run it for the whole time! This is a great addition to any diy nail kit, or crafter’s home!

Haven’t gotten to use it yet but I bought it on impulse bc of the tiktoks I’ve been seeing Nonetheless, I needed one anyway. It’s a lot louder than I expected so I deducted one star. People says it’s supposed to be quiet but it’s definitely not. The filing of the nails itself is pretty loud so, I hope that the sound of it overpowers the sound of the dust collector Either way- super cute color, love the shape, and the rechargeable machine is such a plus! Can’t wait to use it.

I’ve been wanting one of these for a while, so I was really excited to add it to my manicure equipment collection. And it doesn’t disappoint!
It’s bigger than I imagined (but accurate) and really high quality and well made. I love the soft pink color. And the controls couldn’t be easier. There’s an on button and then three speed buttons. It comes charged and with a filter in it, but also includes the charger. I love the fact that I don’t need to keep it plugged in while I’m using it, especially because my uv lamp is wired and it would be a pain keeping them both plugged in.
It’s a little loud, but the sound is soft, so its not much of a bother. For reference, my cats flee the room when I blow dry my hair, but when I turned this on, they just turned their heads to look at it, mostly unbothered.
And it’s perfectly functional as a vacuum! I’m so excited to add it to my routine, since it will make cleaning up much easier.

Edit: this dust collector works great, I rarely have dust on myself, my desk, or in my surrounding air space! BUT after using it consistently for well over a month, it does not hold a charge for anything. Mine needs to stay plugged in while I use it. It doesn’t hold a charge for more than a few minutes… the first day I used it it worked great, hence my review, but now I’m annoyed that I paid extra for cordless and it needs to stay plugged in. Yes I’ve charged it without using it for hours on end & I still only get a few minutes without it plugged in, if I’m lucky.

I paid 100$ for another dust collector, and it’s no where near as good or compact as this one. It sucks up dust really well making cleanup a breeze. It holds a charge really well (yes she’s cordless!), it’s slightly loud but on high power you can hear your client who’s relatively soft spoken, speaking to you across your desk unlike many other dust collectors. I recommend this out. 10/10!

I did not notice any dust in the air while using this and I can feel some of the suction coming off from this. It does not have super high suction that I can feel with my hands but I can see the suction take control of paper fairly high above the unit when running it at higher speeds. It is a nice size and the power cable is pretty long. Altogether I am happy with this!

I find this nail dust collector to be rather better than average.
The suction seems to really be quicker and more complete than a few others I have used.

I also like to use it when doing anything small level dusty. I do a load of dremel tool carving and it is brilliant for that purpose too.

I particularly love how portable it is and rechargeable too which is a hugs bonus for me.

I’m not a huge fan of pink, but that seems a small price to pay for a quality machine!

I’ve been doing my own nails at home for about 3 years now. MelodieSusie, as many will know, is a very reputable nail brand. I own many of their products and they have yet to disappoint me.

Their newest product is this cordless, battery-powered nail dust collector. It looks almost the same as their corded model (which I also own), except that probably due to its battery pack inside, it is about maybe 0.5~0.75 inch taller and dare I say– heftier. However don’t be fooled by its added bulk, it definitely doesn’t affect your comfort and if anything, I quite like it. Weight isn’t that much heavier either, and all in all, it’s a nice looking machine.

The dust collector comes in a beautiful, high-quality box branded by MelodieSusie, and it is packed with an extra dust filter and charging cord.

This isn’t my first battery-powered nail dust collector, but it just may be my last–because it is by far my favorite one that I’ll be sticking with for a long time. The circular frame makes it feel so compact yet it’s powerful. And with the fact that it is now able to be cordless makes the entire process of setting up my space an absolute breeze. No more extension cords, no more cords all up and around me.

With MelodieSusie’s battery powered nail file and their battery powered UV lamp, I am now entirely cordless when I do my nails at home. I wish I had these when I started 3 years ago. I know I sound like a sponsored ad at this point, but with full honestly, I think they really are my favorite brand. They’re affordable, premium quality, and reliable.

This nail dust collector has 3 power levels. When you go up to the third, it does get pretty loud in the ears, but I usually watch a movie with earbuds. I’ve so far used this dust collector for 2 full sessions (each about an hour of continuous power) and I have yet the need to charge it.

If you’re looking to invest in a dust collector once and for good, this one just may be the one for you. Cordless just made it so much easier for me, I’m sure it will be the same for you too.

While I don’t work in a nail studio, I do a lot of arts and crafts and the occasional plastic model building. A lot of the thing require a lot of sanding and while I can always just vacuum the workspace afterwards, this is a much appreciated first way to eliminate as much microplastics I am sanding off. And it works great! While in a sense I could also do all the filing and sanding over a trash can, this still allows me to work on a desk rather than slouched over a bin, and in a butter finger event I wouldn’t be stuck losing the part in the abyss. So, in terms of ergonomics, this is great.

I do find this still pretty loud at the lowest setting, though compared to a vacuum hose setup (which is even worse in the event of lost parts), it’s actually relatively quiet. You do want to be careful to work over the top of the dust collector though as it does blow air out all around it, meaning any particles that fall too far from getting caught will be blown all over the place. So, for the intended purposes (nails) and for small objects this is perfect.

When it comes to the filter, I do like how to a certain extent you can extend the life of the filter by tapping it over your trash can and blowing through the other side. Likewise you can vacuum it out to extend its usable life; given that it is somewhat flexible it makes this easy to do. And more importantly is also the fact that MelodySusie does sell spare ones if needed, something that can’t be said about a lot of products online that use filters.

The biggest thing of course is that while MelodySusie makes a wired version that is cheaper, this one with the built-in battery works identically well but can be operated cordlessly. The battery life is actually quite respectable and even at high strength can run for over an hour. And in case you wonder, what happens when it is out of battery? When you plug it back in you can immediately start using it again; the motor doesn’t feed directly through the batteries so being able to charge and use it at the same time is a blessing for even more productivity.

Overall, I love this thing to bits and it is super useful. Be it for nails or dead skin, or any small scale craft that requires some degree of sanding, this is a life saver that works very well.

My wife does her own nails and desperately needed this not only for cleanliness, but for health. Breathing in nail dust and having it all over the house definitely can not be good for the lungs or nose.

One of the best things about this (other than collecting the nail dust) Is that it is rechargeable, so there’s never a need to look for batteries and you can just plug it in via the propriety charger to keep it working.

The suction power is actually better than anticipated. It helps a lot from having the finer dust migrate around the room. The more this device captures, the less that ends up on the floor or in the furnace or heat register filters or in the lungs, on in and on the cat etc. We generally only use the highest suction power.

The capacity is so large that getting three sets of nails done over 3 weeks only filled up the reservoir a little bit. You could get a lot of nails done without ever having to change the filter or reservoir.

Cleaning the filter is easy. We use a keyboard cleaner / compressed air to blow it out outside, and that seems to work really well and it basically looks new when done.

Battery life is good. We ended up using this for around 3 hours, on and off, before it needed a recharge. This was on the highest suction setting. I let it run from 100% to 0% just to see how long it would last and I got 4.5 hours. I tried it again and turned it off at the 2.5 hour mark, waited 3 hours, then let it run to 0% and it lasted another 2.5 hours, for 5 hours of total run time.

We’ve very, very satisfied with this nail dust collector.

What can I say, its a MelodySusie Product, Quality is a given! There hasn’t been a product yet from this company that I have been disappointed with. And although I don’t use their products for the purpose they were intended to be used, they still outperform product lines that are made for the dog grooming industry. This dust collector has been a very welcomed addition to my grooming tools. As I do many house calls, I like to bring with me tools that help me keep the area clean as I groom their dog, and this does an exception job of keeping the dust from the dogs nails from going into the air, my lungs or their tables. It is very well made, as per my expectations. The materials and workmanship are of high quality. It charges fast, last a long time in between charging’s and is very easy to use. Although the product is way bigger than I had imagined, it is a nice surprise. This prevents me from having to keep moving a small one around, like I thought I would have to. Overall, this is an excellent product that I will be recommending to anyone with a need.
