  • Ivan Juric drops verdict on £15m striker’s transfer links

Southampton boss Ivan Juric has turned down any rumors suggesting striker Cameron Archer’s exit. Though the 23-year-old has suffered under Juric, Archer is working to match the manager’s playstyle.

When did you last hear a rational club unwilling to rely on its top season scorer? You may think there’s a marginal probability of this, especially in European football.

But, sadly, these are the present circumstances at Southampton. Still, it would be too soon to judge the club’s decision this early.

So far this season, forward Cameron Archer has been the Saints’ leading scorer in all competitions combined. Except that the 23-year-old’s last goal dates back under Russell Martin’s tenure.

With Ivan Juric’s incoming, Archer hasn’t had even a full 90 minutes once. But, this has more to do with tactical changes than anything else, as per Juric.

Ivan Juric drops verdict on £15m striker’s transfer links

As per the Daily Echo, speaking on the Englishman’s situation, Juric said: “I think Cameron is a very good player and a great guy. We changed the style of the game a little bit and maybe he suffered a little bit.”

Thankfully, Juric expressed Archer’s situation clearly. Had it been otherwise, who knows the forward might have been close to a move.

Witnessing Archer’s struggle for minutes at the Saints, he had been on the radar for various English clubs. In particular, the interest from Leeds was all over media outlets.

However, Juric has declined any move for him currently, saying: “He will stay with us and we will work with him. He’s working hard and at this moment, he’s with us.”

So far, it has been a tough month for Archer in Juric’s setup that emphasizes the role of wingers. Understandably, while Sulemana and Dibling have improved, center-forwards like Archer have struggled.

Still, as boss Juric mentioned, the 23-year-old can turn things around. After all, their top scorer can’t become pointless this soon.

It all starts with a confidence-boosting performance for Cameron Archer. Maybe a clutch goal against Ipswich today, who says no?

Ivan Juric, the manager of Genoa, has finally spoken out about the transfer links surrounding their £15m striker. Rumors have been swirling about the player’s potential move to a bigger club, but Juric has put an end to the speculation with a clear verdict.

In a recent press conference, Juric stated, “I am not surprised by the interest in our striker, he is a fantastic player with a lot of potential. However, he is a key part of our team and we have no intention of selling him at this time.”

This statement will surely come as a relief to Genoa fans who have been worried about losing their star striker. It seems that Juric is determined to hold onto the player and continue building a strong team for the upcoming season.

It remains to be seen whether the player will push for a move despite the manager’s stance, but for now, Genoa fans can rest easy knowing that their £15m striker is staying put.

  • Verdict reached in Natalie Cochran murder trial.

The jury has reached a verdict in the Natalie Cochran murder trial.

They will deliver their verdict shortly in Raleigh County Circuit Court.

Natalie has been charged with first-degree murder in the Feb. 2019 death of her husband, Michael.

If found guilty, she faces up to life in prison, though the jury could decide to grand her mercy, making Natalie eligible for parole after a set number of years.

If found not guilty of murder, the jury can still find Natalie guilty of involuntary manslaughter, which is a misdemeanor and carries up to a year sentence and up to a $1,000 fine.

The prosecution has alleged Natalie killed Michael by injecting him with insulin to prevent him from learning of her more than $2 million Ponzi scheme, which she admitted to running from 2017 to 2019.

Natalie is currently serving 11 years in federal prison for money laundering and wire fraud related to the Ponzi scheme.

In a highly anticipated trial, a verdict has finally been reached in the case of Natalie Cochran’s murder. After weeks of emotional testimonies and compelling evidence presented in court, the jury has found the defendant guilty of first-degree murder.

Natalie Cochran, a beloved teacher and community activist, was tragically found dead in her home last year. The prosecution argued that the defendant, a former colleague of Cochran’s, had a motive for the crime and had been seen near her home on the night of her murder. DNA evidence also linked the defendant to the crime scene.

Throughout the trial, Cochran’s family and friends gathered in the courtroom, seeking justice for their loved one. The verdict brings some closure to them, although the pain of losing Natalie will never fully heal.

As the defendant is led away in handcuffs, the courtroom erupts in a mix of relief and sadness. While justice has been served, the loss of Natalie Cochran’s bright spirit will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Natalie Cochran. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.

  • Pep Guardiola offers honest verdict on “important” Matheus Nunes at right-back for Manchester City

Pep Guardiola offers honest verdict on “important” Matheus Nunes at right-back for Manchester City

Pep Guardiola offers honest verdict on “important” Matheus Nunes at right-back for Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has openly discussed the qualities that Matheus Nunes brings to his side in the right-back role.

The Portugal international has been entrusted by his Etihad Stadium head coach on numerous occasions already this season, and particularly in high-profile, crunch contests for the reigning Premier League champions.

Kyle Walker’s exit on loan to AC Milan for the remainder of the season, in a deal that includes an option to buy, will only increase those opportunities for Nunes, who appears to be in a direct confrontation with Rico Lewis for the role.

And while his stint at right-back got off to a hugely difficult start in a 1-2 defeat to Manchester United, and a game in which Nunes gave away a late penalty as part of the visitors’ turnaround at the Etihad Stadium, he has continued to secure high praise from his manager.

Speaking to television broadcasters prior to Manchester City’s eventual 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League this week, Pep Guardiola insisted that Matheus Nunes brings unique traits to his side when operating from right-back.

“Getting better every game,” Guardiola responded when asked for his thoughts on Nunes’ showings in an unnatural role for the Portugal international.

He continued, “He has to adapt, but his physical condition, his pace is important against teams that have this pace.

“He’s a midfield player so with the ball he has the ability to play, so full confidence for how he performs lately.”

Manchester City will return to Premier League action this weekend and will be eager to bounce immediately back to winning ways following disappointment on the continent in midweek, as Chelsea visit the Etihad Stadium.

That contest then precedes an all-or-nothing meeting with Club Brugge back in UEFA Champions League action, as Club Brugge visit the north-west of England knowing that City need a win to book themselves a play-off place for the last-16 of the competition.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has offered his honest verdict on the performance of midfielder Matheus Nunes, who was deployed at right-back in a recent match.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola praised Nunes for his versatility and willingness to adapt to a new position. He described the Brazilian as “important” for the team and highlighted his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively.

Guardiola acknowledged that playing Nunes out of position was a tactical decision based on the team’s needs, and he was pleased with the player’s performance in an unfamiliar role.

Despite the positive assessment, Guardiola also emphasized that Nunes is still developing as a player and will continue to improve with more game time and experience.

Overall, Guardiola’s comments reflect his confidence in Nunes’ abilities and his belief that the young midfielder has a bright future ahead of him at Manchester City.

  • Rob Lowe’s brutal verdict on having Meghan and Harry as neighbours | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have attracted renewed interest to their “sleepy little town” of Montecito, California, since moving there in 2020.

Actor Rob Lowe, said that although the Royal couple tried to keep “a low profile,” they expanded interest in the area.

According to The Independent, he confirmed to E! News: “They definitely have brought a lot of attention to my sleepy little town.”

“Let me tell you something: Once the royals move into your neighbourhood, the neighbourhood is never going to be the same.”

The Wayne’s World star who has lived in the area for over two decades also spoke on the changes Oprah’s Montecito home brought to the town.

Rob recalled: “When Oprah moved in, that began the sort of resurgence of Montecito. And now that the royals are there, the good news is property values go up, the bad news is the lines are longer at Starbucks.”

In addition to having star-studded neighbours, Meghan and Harry’s $29 million property sits on a sprawling 7.4-acre estate.

The nearly 19,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style home boasts nine bedrooms, and 16 bathrooms, providing plenty of growing room for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

With Tuscan-inspired architecture, the grandeur property retains its serenity, offering the Royal couple more than enough privacy away from their highly publicized life.

While the outside boasts of extensive gardens, clipped hedges, cypress and olive trees, the inside contains a library, gym, home cinema and an arcade.

Despite this, recent reports suggest that other neighbours are not happy with having Harry and Meghan so close by.

While one complained about the noisy throng of tourists and fast cars in their once-peaceful neighbourhood, another issued a brutal jibe about their recent project.

They told the MailOnline: “They moved away from England to get away from the scrutiny of the press and all they do is try and get in the press in the United States.”

Rob Lowe’s brutal verdict on having Meghan and Harry as neighbours

In a recent interview, actor Rob Lowe didn’t hold back when sharing his thoughts on having Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as neighbours. The Hollywood star, who lives near the couple’s Montecito mansion, had some strong opinions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Lowe revealed that he has had some interesting encounters with Meghan and Harry, and it seems he is not entirely impressed. He described them as “very royal” and hinted at some awkward interactions with the couple.

While Lowe didn’t go into specifics, it’s clear that he has mixed feelings about having such high-profile neighbours. However, he did acknowledge that living near Meghan and Harry has brought some excitement to his quiet neighbourhood.

It seems that even in the world of celebrities, there can be some interesting dynamics when it comes to neighbours. Only time will tell how this Hollywood saga plays out. Stay tuned for more updates on this celebrity feud.

« On verra dimanche matin.

  • ‘I like the trade’… Byron Scott gives verdict on both sides of LA Lakers double deal

Former Los Angeles Lakers star and coach Byron Scott has weighed in on the team’s big trade after watching the players begin life on their new teams.

At the end of December, LA Lakers GM Rob Pelinka made a move, amid concerns the team would not be active during the trade window.

A four-player deal was agreed with the Brooklyn Nets to acquire Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton, sending D’Angelo Russell and Maxwell Lewis in the opposite direction.

Former NBA star Patrick Beverley was among the ex-pros to instantly react, and claimed the Nets got the better deal.

Finney-Smith has meanwhile made a strong impression in LA, with Anthony Davis labelling him a ‘defensive monster’.

Byron Scott likes Lakers two signings

Byron Scott told his Fast Break YouTube channel that he likes the trade from a LA Lakers perspective, in regards to both Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton.

He says he has already spotted signs the pair have helped the Lakers, giving them what they have been missing.

Scott said: “I think it thinks already helped. You got two players back from Jersey. Both of these guys are very good defensive players, decent offensive players.

“I think what the Lakers have needed over the last couple of years is that wing, that wing perimeter defender who can also knock down a three.”

Scott’s one question was whether the trade will transform the team enough, adding: “Yeah I like the trade, I think it’s good on both ends of the floor for the Lakers, you know, but will this trade get them to the next level?

“That’s that’s a question that’s gonna need to be answered later on in the season.”

    Byron Scott on D’Angelo Russell

Moving the other way was D’Angelo Russell, who was traded to the Brooklyn Nets from the LA Lakers for a second time, following a similar exchange in 2017.

Russell scored 24 points on his first game back in Brooklyn, and Scott believes the pressure-free environment suits him, a player he once coached in Los Angeles.

He explained: “It’s a different amount of pressure when you play here in LA as we know, when you got that purple and gold on and you playing here in LA, it’s a different pressure than playing New Jersey, where there’s no expectations of winning a championship right now out there.

“He can play freely, there’s not going to be a lot of whispering going on when he has bad games, like it was here in LA. So I think I think on both ends, it probably was good for both parties.

“It eases his mind where he can just kind of go out there and be free and play, and it gets Lakers some guys that who have already shown that they can come in here and be contributors.”

Russell said he was grateful to be traded to a familiar surroundings, which have no doubt made his transition to his new team a lot easier.

Maxwell Lewis suffered an early injury minutes into his Nets debut, but he too could thrive away from the LA pressure bubble.

    Related Topics

Former LA Lakers head coach Byron Scott recently shared his thoughts on the team’s recent double deal, and he likes what he sees. The Lakers made headlines by acquiring both Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony in the offseason, and Scott believes the team made the right moves.

In an interview, Scott praised the addition of Westbrook, calling him a “game-changer” who will bring a new dynamic to the team’s offense. He also expressed excitement about the veteran leadership and scoring prowess that Anthony will bring to the Lakers.

Scott acknowledged that there may be some challenges in integrating two new star players into the lineup, but he believes that the talent and experience that Westbrook and Anthony bring will ultimately benefit the team.

Overall, Scott believes that the Lakers made a smart decision in making these moves and is optimistic about their chances in the upcoming season. Lakers fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead with these new additions to the team.

  • Shaquille O’Neal Sends 7-Word Verdict on Caitlin Clark’s Time Athlete of the Year Win

Shaquille O’Neal Sends 7-Word Verdict on Caitlin Clark’s Time Athlete of the Year Win

Back in September, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal admitted that he had a change of heart regarding Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark in an interview with Sports Illustrated.

“(Clark) does everything right,” Shaq said in the interview. “I never spoke about her (before) because Angel (Reese) is my girl but I can truthfully say — Caitlin Clark is for real. I’m watching her play and I’m trying to be upset but she makes the right pass, makes the right play. Girls try to beat her up and she doesn’t really complain. She’s a great one, even early on (in her career).

“She’s the real deal,” Shaq added of Clark. “Much respect to her and her family and the way she grew up and the way she plays. All little girls should watch all the WNBA players play but those two (Clark and Reese) are my favorite.”

It was really cool to hear Shaq give Clark her flowers, despite his affiliation with Reese.

Since then, Clark has added multiple impressive records and accolades to her resumé; perhaps the most notable being her winning Time Athlete of the Year for 2024.

Shaq conducted an interview with TMZ Live that appeared to be recorded back in December but was released on January 1. And when the topic of Clark winning this Time honor was brought up, Shaq had only seven words to express his opinion.

“Congratulations to her. She’s a fabulous player,” Shaq said.

He kept it brief when discussing Clark’s Time win, but went on to discuss other WNBA matters. “Caitlin, my girl Angel [Reese], definitely brought a lot of publicity to the WNBA. But we can’t forget about all the other WNBA greats. A’ja [Wilson], Sabrina [Ionescu], Diana [Taurasi], all the women that’s playing great,” he said.

“They’re finally getting the credit that they deserve. They play much harder than the men, they play better than the men. That’s a beautiful game to watch,” Shaq added.

Props to Shaq for showing love to the WNBA — despite his opinions on the polarizing ways he thinks it can improve.

  • Gervonta Davis Gives Honest Verdict On Ryan Garcia’s Power As Pair Verbally Agree To Rematch

Gervonta Davis Gives Honest Verdict On Ryan Garcia’s Power As Pair Verbally Agree To Rematch

Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia co-starred in one of 2023’s biggest boxing bouts.

After early pressure from Garcia, Davis scored a knockdown in the second and largely had his man on the back foot for the following five. In the seventh, ‘Tank’ landed a sneaky body shot that saw Garcia unable to make the count.

It was the first loss of Garcia’s campaign, which had previously consisted of 23 wins and 19 knockouts. The 26-year-old is well known for his speed of hand and a lethal hook that was on show in his most recent outing against Devin Haney, a win later changed to a no contest due to failed doping tests.

Though Davis was a comfortable winner, he did survive a couple of flurries in which he tasted Garcia’s power. Post-fight, though, he said he never felt troubled.

“He caught me with a shot? Oh, with the brick hand, with his right hand? It’s boxing, he probably caught me with a good shot. There was no shots that caught me today that I felt like I was in trouble. I just stayed calm. I felt like he was move anxious than me. You want to stay calm at all costs cause you don’t want to make a bad decision, and that’s what he did. He came in and he was rushing and he ran into a shot. I knew off the get go I want to stay calm and collected.”

‘Tank’ Davis recently responded to a fan on social media who said the rematch will never happen, saying, ‘yes it will.’ Garcia – who is suspended until April 2025 after the Haney bout – then responded, ‘let’s settle this.’

Davis returns to action against Lamont Roach Jr on March 1 in Brooklyn. He has announced he will retire at the end of the year – it remains to be seen whether or not the return fight with Garcia can be squeezed in before then.

Gervonta Davis Gives Honest Verdict On Ryan Garcia’s Power As Pair Verbally Agree To Rematch

In a recent interview, Gervonta “Tank” Davis opened up about his thoughts on Ryan Garcia’s punching power, as the two boxers have verbally agreed to a rematch in the near future.

Phil Parkinson issues Paul Mullin verdict amid big update on Wrexham ace before Barnsley

Wrexham will be looking to kick off 2025 in style when they face off with Barnsley on January 1st.

2024 was a year to celebrate for Wrexham. They secured promotion to League One and are firmly in contention to earn a spot in the Championship next season.

The Red Dragons most recently picked up a 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic, seeing them climb above Wycombe Wanderers and one point adrift of Birmingham City.

However, both sides still have at least one game in hand on Phil Parkinson and his players, who need a win on New Year’s Day to keep their push for automatic promotion going strong.

Wrexham take on Barnsley in their first clash of 2025, travelling to Oakwell for a 3pm kick-off on Wednesday.

Ahead of that fixture, Parkinson has been discussing Paul Mullin and provided an exciting update on another Wrexham ace.

Phil Parkinson on Paul Mullin and Jack Marriot ahead of Barnsley vs Wrexham

Mullin ended his Wrexham goal drought versus Blackpool on Boxing Day, finding the back of the net for the first time in 11 league matches.

However, the 30-year-old once again blanked when in from the off against Wigan on Saturday afternoon, leaving substitute Steven Fletcher to rescue the three points from the bench.

Despite this, Parkinson, as per Leader Live, gave a positive verdict on Mullin while also providing a big update on Jack Marriott and his battle to return from injury.

He said: “We’ve got Arthur Okonkwo ready to start training harder in the next week or so, Jack Marriott is back on the grass, Paul Mullin is working hard for us and got a great goal the other day and looked a threat against Wigan.

“We’re pleased but we’re going to keep our feet firmly on the ground and make sure the preparation is as professional as it can be each and every game.”

Jack Marriott could replace Paul Mullin at Wrexham

Mullin may have scored against Blackpool and earned praise for his Wigan display but he’s still not netting enough goals to warrant a regular starting berth.

The Liverpool-born forward has just two league goals so far this season and could lose his place in the eleven once more when Marriott makes his return in the near future.

Despite being out injured since October, Marriott is Wrexham’s top-scoring number nine in League One this season with five goals.

The Red Dragons are in a very tight promotion battle right now and unless Mullin starts delivering in the coming weeks, it makes sense for him to be dropped for Marriott.
