This record player is just as described. I have some older lps and to hear the crackle of not digital was delightful. I did not find any feature that was not mentioned in the description of the item. It arrived packed carefully and you could not tell what it was from the packaging. The speakers are fine for me as I will play them in a small room, but they have connectors that can be used with external speakers. Some of the reviews seem to be from people who did not have a record player from the "old" days. This player is excellent for someone with some records who wants to listen and be nostalgic.

    This is an entry-level record player. It does what it says it will do.

    If you want the sound of a $250 turntable run through a $500 multi-function amp, played through stereo speakers, go spend $1,000 at a stereo store.

    This record player plays record through probably a $10 speaker, so yes, it might sound tinny or lacking depth. However to make up for that built-in speaker, it comes with a 3.5mm line in cord that can connect record player headphone jack to an external speaker. I connected my to portable JBL Bluetooth speaker and it had sound to fill the room. It also comes with the RCA cables to connect to external speakers, of your budget and choosing.

    Most notable item is the lid. It comes with a spring hinge to keep lid up and more importantly, it has front and side cut outs which allows one to close lid over a playing record. These cut-outs allow for a compact size.

    This is a great add to a den, craft room or even a kids room. It fits the bill to play vinyl. I don’t consider this to be a record player you pair with a stereo amplifier.

    This is my first time owning a record player. Had to buy one because my son gifted me a vinyl record. I am impressed with the sound of this little record player, set up was a breeze and very easy to use. I thought I was going to have to purchase compatible speakers but the sound that came out of this little record player was enough for me. Pleasantly surprised. I loved the sound of the vinyl record playing and the old school look of it. I am so excited to build my vinyl record collection and listening to my old school favorites on it. I rarely give a product 5 stars but this one earned it and I would change anything about it.

    Let me start by saying, this turntable is an absolute gem… as long as you're using an external speaker. If you're relying on its built-in speakers, you’re not going to get the full experience, and I nearly returned it after my first few listens. But once I hooked it up to my own speakers, it completely transformed into an audiophile’s dream!

    1. Sound Quality with Built-in Speakers: Honestly, I was really disappointed when I first played a record. The sound from the built-in speakers is flat, muffled, and lacks depth. It honestly sounds more like a low-quality Bluetooth speaker you’d find in a cheap gift shop.

    2. Sound Quality with External Speakers: Here’s the game changer. Once I connected the turntable to a better external speaker (just using the auxiliary output), the sound was absolutely pristine.

    4. Design & Build Quality: The turntable itself is solid and well-made. The platter is smooth, and the tonearm works well – no skips or issues so far. It was easy to set up, and it looks great in my living room.

    Final Thoughts: Honestly, this turntable is a bit of a mixed bag. On its own, the sound is disappointing, and I almost gave up on it. But once I connected it to an external speaker, it became a totally different beast.

    My wife has wanted one of these since they were 16, and I’m so happy I was able to gift this record player for Christmas. It works perfectly, looks like a vintage model, and it’s Bluetooth. So you don’t need records to play it, the sound quality is really good especially for the price. My wife can’t wait to go record shopping. My one big issue though, is that the seller waited almost two weeks to ship this item. This was a Christmas present, and I’m certain they knew that as this was ordered on the 13th of December(plenty of time for it to arrive before Christmas). They didn’t ship it, until December 22nd which really irritated me. Given what I paid for shipping, and the fact that this could’ve arrived in plenty of time I’m still really angry with the shipping speed. No reason it should’ve taken them that long to send this item, and it’s inexcusable. You all certainly took my money immediately, but boy howdy did you take your time sending it to me. So thanks for waiting so long, and insuring that I didn’t get it in time for Christmas. Not only that, but it was supposed to arrive on the 26th and was two days late. Next time, send people’s items out in a timely manner. A week and a half is not appropriate, do better.

    This product both plays records and acts as a bluetooth speaker which is very nice but the sound quality is not great. I know some people don't really care about sound quality all that much but even those people will notice that the sound is off though the price for this type of product is fairly low and this is too be expected.

    Unwrapped record player, grabbed a 45 that I had since I was a kid, put it on the turn table and got what I was hoping for. The player workers very good, no skipping or hissing, sound was good, but not really loud, nice size looks pretty good, the Bluetooth connected right away without any problems, good value in a compact unit!

    Had some LP's lying around and wanted to listen to them again. Bought this and I am pleasantly suprised. It's a good basic player and good value. Is the sound the best…no, but its still good. I like that it can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker. The vintage look also looks great as a decor piece. Happy with this purchase.
