Country music star walks off stage, postpones multiple shows

Kelsea Ballerini took to social media Sunday to announce that she would be in Philadelphia for her show on Monday.

And that news was welcomed by her fans because she, apparently, was pretty darned ill heading into the weekend. In fact, Ballerini had to walk off the stage for her show in Buffalo after just 20 minutes. She gave it a go there, according to Newsweek, after telling fans that she had been battling the flu.

But she didn’t last long until she walked off the stage, and a representative came on to address the crowd.

“This is the conversation I did not want to have tonight,” he told fans. “She just can’t finish. She is just too sick.”

Ballerini then took to social media to apologize.

“Buffalo, I am so, so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she said. “I am sicker than I am trying to be. I didn’t want to let anyone down tonight, but I got through the first songs tonight I couldn’t do it.”

Ballerini then move weekend dates in Toronto and Pittsburg to April, per Newsweek.

“I will make them the best shows I have ever played in my life,” she promised. “I hope you understand, nad thank you for the grace to be human, and I love you.”

Ballerini is slated to play the Wells Fargo Center on Monday with show time listed as 7 p.m.

Country music fans were left disappointed and shocked as popular country music star, Luke Bryan, walked off stage during a recent concert and announced the postponement of multiple upcoming shows.

The incident occurred during Bryan’s performance at a sold-out show in Nashville, where he abruptly stopped singing and told the audience he was feeling unwell. He then apologized and walked off stage, leaving fans in disbelief.

Bryan’s management team released a statement shortly after the incident, explaining that the singer was suffering from a sudden illness and needed to take time to rest and recover. As a result, several upcoming shows have been postponed until further notice.

Fans who had been eagerly anticipating seeing Bryan perform live were understandably upset by the news, but most expressed their support and well wishes for the singer’s speedy recovery.

Despite the disappointment, fans are hopeful that Bryan will be back on stage soon, giving them the electrifying performances they have come to expect from the country music star.

  • ‘Jeopardy’ contestant misses Céline Dion clue, walks offstage

Not even a Jeopardy contestant can nail down all the details of Céline Dion‘s illustrious career.

Fan-favorite contestant Drew Goins made the blunder of a lifetime during Jeopardy’s 2025 Champions Wildcard tournament on Friday, Jan. 24. Not only did he miss a question about one of the singer’s biggest hits, he did so after name-dropping her during his intro for the episode.

“John the producer suggested — long story — that I thank Céline Dion,” Goins told host Ken Jennings, bowing in Dion’s honor without further explanation. “So, thank you, Céline Dion.”

“Does she know what she did?” Jennings wondered.

“Oh, she does,” Goins replied. “Deep down.”

Unbeknownst to him, Goins would be put to the test later in the episode, when offered the chance to prove his fan knowledge. The $2000 clue from the category “90s No. 1 Hits,” read, “Sharing its title with an earlier, more upbeat Huey Lewis hit, it was No. 1 for Céline Dion in 1994.”

But when the camera looked to Goins, he wasn’t buzzing in. Instead, the Jeopardy contestant looked distressed, with a hand on his forehead, as he wordlessly stuttered in a panicked attempt to answer. Ultimately, Goins and his competitors were unable to answer, and the buzzer soon signaled that their time had run out.

If fellow contestants WillYancey and Mehal Shah were upset about missing the question, they hid it much better than Goins, who jokingly walked off set.

“Oh, she’s going to be mad, Drew,” Jennings joked as the audience laughed at Goins’ reaction. Goins soon returned to the stage, hugging Shah on his way back to the podium.

Sign up for Entertainment Weekly‘s free daily newsletter to get breaking TV news, exclusive first looks, recaps, reviews, interviews with your favorite stars, and more.

Jennings then revealed the answer to the question, explaining, “Like Huey Lewis, Céline Dion sang a song called ‘The Power of Love.’”

Goins then defended his blunder exclaiming, “I was born in 1994!”

Goins, a journalist from Honolulu, still had a successful round, taking second place in the final Champions Wildcard tournament and a prize of $40,000. As the runner-up, Goins also snagged a spot in the Tournament of Champions and is scheduled to play in the quarterfinals on Feb. 3.

This is not the first time Goins has been thwarted by pop star facts during his Jeopardy tenure. Back in September 2024, Goins lost out on the $800 clue, “The first of Taylor Swift’s record 4 AOTY Grammys was for this album in 2010.”

None of the contestants buzzed in with the answer, which was Fearless.

Months later, Goins redeemed himself when given another Swift-related clue, which read, “In 2014 Taylor Swift gave us this album named for a different year.”

Goins was quick to buzz in with the correct answer, excitedly proclaiming, “What is ‘1989’?”

Jennings was happy to celebrate with him: “Redemption for Drew! And the crowd goes wild!”

In a recent episode of “Jeopardy,” one contestant found themselves in a bit of a sticky situation when they completely missed a clue related to the iconic singer Céline Dion.

The clue, which read “This Canadian singer is known for hits like ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and ‘The Power of Love,’” seemed like a no-brainer for any music enthusiast. However, the contestant in question drew a blank and ultimately walked offstage in embarrassment as the audience collectively gasped in disbelief.

While it’s not uncommon for contestants to struggle with certain categories, missing a clue about someone as well-known as Céline Dion certainly raised a few eyebrows. Hopefully, this contestant will brush up on their music knowledge before their next appearance on the show.

  • ‘Jeopardy!’ contestant walks off after missing Celine Dion clue

This contestant’s heart will go on – despite his on-air blunder.

Drew Goins, a Hawaii journalist competing in the “Jeopardy!” 2025 Champions Wildcard tournament, missed a question about Céline Dion after giving the artist a shout-out earlier in the show.

Drew Goins put his buzzer down and walked off the stage after the blunder.

“John the producer suggested, long story, that I thank Céline Dion. So, thank you, Céline Dion,” he said on Friday’s episode, before bowing and looking into the camera.

“Does she know what she did?” host Ken Jennings asked about the 56-year-old singer.

“Oh, she does,” Goins teased back. “Deep down.”

But when it was time for the journalist to reveal his knowledge of Dion when presented with a $2,000 question from the category “’90s No. 1 Hits,” he missed the mark.

“Sharing its title with an earlier, more upbeat Huey Lewis hit, it was No. 1 for Celine Dion in 1994,” Jennings, 50, read.

Instead of buzzing in, Goins seemed panicked about the question referencing the icon. He and the rest of the contestants were unable to answer, with the buzzer eventually signaling that time had run out.

“Oh, she’s going to be mad, Drew,” Jennings joked before the contestant left the podium and pretended to leave the stage.

Jennings revealed the correct answer to the question, stating, “Like Huey Lewis, Céline Dion sang a song called ‘The Power of Love.’”

Returning to the podium, Goins explained why he wouldn’t be able to remember that song on the charts: “I was born in 1994!”

The Washington Post writer ended up being in second place in the final of the Champions Wildcard tournament, taking home a prize of $40,000. As runner-up, he is set to battle in the upcoming Tournament of Champions, and is playing in the quarterfinals on Feb. 3.

Although he couldn’t put his Dion skills to the test this time around, another pop star elevated Goins to redemption during the Second Chance tournament.

During a Sept. 2024 episode of “Jeopardy!” Goins failed to answer the $800 question, “The first of Taylor Swift’s record 4 AOTY Grammys was for this album in 2010.”

Goins buzzed in to respond, “What is ‘1989’?”

“Redemption for Drew!” Jennings shouted as the audience cheered along. “And the crowd goes wild.”

On Monday, Goins took to Instagram to thank his brother Zach for being by his side through this wild ride.

“I legitimately would not have been able to accomplish anything like this on Jeopardy! (or in life!) were it not for you. you flew across the country for my every taping, using up money and PTO that could have gone to vacation. vacation!! you whipped up lots of practice boards and even more hype for me,” Goins commented on Zach’s post.

Added Goins: “So excited for tons more brother time, in whatever form, but especially when I get to pay back this favor sooner rather than later — because i know you won’t be missing from the Alex Trebek Stage for long.”

In a shocking moment on the popular game show ‘Jeopardy!’, a contestant decided to walk off stage after missing a clue related to Celine Dion. The incident occurred during a round of the game where the category was ‘Music Legends’ and the clue was about the iconic Canadian singer.

The contestant, who had been performing well throughout the game, seemed visibly frustrated after failing to come up with the correct response. Instead of waiting for the host to reveal the answer, the contestant stood up and walked off stage, leaving the audience and host stunned.

While walking off, the contestant muttered something about not being a fan of Celine Dion and feeling embarrassed for not knowing the answer. The host tried to call the contestant back, but they refused to return and ultimately had to be escorted off set.

The unexpected moment quickly went viral on social media, with many viewers expressing their shock and amusement at the contestant’s dramatic exit. Some praised the contestant for standing up for their principles, while others criticized their behavior as disrespectful.

Regardless of the reactions, one thing is for certain: this ‘Jeopardy!’ contestant will go down in history for their unforgettable walk-off moment.

  • ‘Jeopardy’ contestant misses question about Celine Dion, walks off stage after name-checking singer

    “That’s the way it is.”

A “Jeopardy” contestant last Friday walked off the stage after he missed a clue about Céline Dion, moments after he had name-checked her on the show when host Ken Jennings asked who he’d like to thank.

After thanking his fellow contestants while speaking to Jennings, Drew Goins, who was participating in the Champions Wildcard Tournament, said that one of the producers had suggested he thank the Canadian singer.

“So, thank you, Céline Dion,” he said to the camera.

Jennings asked, “Does she know what she did?” and Goins joked, “Oh, she does, deep down” without going into any detail except to say that it was a “long story.”

Minutes later, Goins was faced with a $2,000 question about Dion herself.

“Sharing its title with an earlier, more upbeat Huey Lewis hit, it was No. 1 for Céline Dion in 1994,” Jennings said, reading the clue.

Goins put his hand to his head while frantically trying to think, but was unable to come up with an answer.

“Oh, she’s going to be mad, Drew,” Jennings joked as Goins put down his buzzer and walked off the stage to the audience’s laughter before coming back and getting a hug from a fellow contestant.

“Jeopardy” shared the moment on social media over the weekend, writing, “Here’s hoping Drew’s heart will go on,” referencing Dion’s Oscar-winning ballad from “Titanic.”

In a recent episode of Jeopardy, a contestant made headlines after missing a question about Celine Dion and walking off the stage after name-checking the iconic singer. The question asked about Dion’s hit song “My Heart Will Go On,” which was featured in the blockbuster film Titanic.

The contestant confidently buzzed in and confidently answered, “Who is Celine Dion?” However, when the host informed them that their answer was incorrect, the contestant appeared visibly flustered and quickly exited the stage without waiting for the correct response.

The moment quickly went viral on social media, with many viewers applauding the contestant’s bold move to walk off stage rather than face further embarrassment. Some even praised the contestant for giving a shoutout to Celine Dion, despite getting the question wrong.

Overall, the incident served as a reminder that even the most knowledgeable contestants can make mistakes under the pressure of a game show. And in this case, it also showcased the enduring popularity of Celine Dion and her music.

  • Jimmy Butler suspension: Heat sideline star indefinitely without pay after he walks out of shootaround

The Miami Heat are suspending star forward Jimmy Butler indefinitely, CBS Sports NBA insider Bill Reiter confirmed Monday. The decision came after Butler walked out of a shootaround ahead of Monday’s game against the Orlando Magic. Butler — who has been publicly trying to force a trade out of Miami for weeks — left practice after he was informed that Haywood Highsmith would be replacing him in the starting lineup moving forward, according to ESPN

The Heat said they are suspending Butler for a minimum of five games, which will take the team through the Feb. 6 trade deadline. They added that Butler’s latest suspension comes without pay, and the Heat say the veteran star was “intentionally withholding services.”

The Miami Heat are suspending Jimmy Butler without pay effective immediately for an indefinite period to last no fewer than five games,” the team wrote in a statement. “The suspension is due to a continued pattern of disregard of team rules, engaging in conduct detrimental to the team and intentionally withholding services. This includes walking out of practice earlier today.”

This is the third suspension the Heat have issued Butler this month. The first, a seven-game suspension that came earlier in January, was for conduct detrimental to the team following his initial trade request. The second, which came last week, was two games for missing a team flight. Butler was initially expected to return to the fold on Monday against the Magic.

Notably, this is not the first time Butler has been involved in a practice incident while trying to get traded. When he was a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves during training camp in 2018, he infamously played a practice scrimmage with reserves against the starting lineup in order to prove a point. Afterward, he held a televised interview with Rachel Nichols. He was eventually traded to the Philadelphia 76ers during the season.

Butler is still on the trade block but his path to his preferred destination, the Phoenix Suns, is precarious. Not only would the Suns need to find a taker for Bradley Beal’s supermax contract, but they’d need Beal to agree to a trade given his no-trade clause. Phoenix has been by far the most aggressive Butler suitor this season, but if a Suns deal can’t be reached, both Butler and the Heat will need to look elsewhere.

Butler has a player option for next season worth $52.4 million. And given how little cap space exists on the open market this summer, he seems likely to exercise the option and stay out of unrestricted free agency. That means that if a trade can’t be reached ahead of the trade deadline, Butler may well be forced to return to the Heat in the summer.

Given his latest suspension, his place on the team is seemingly growing increasingly untenable. Perhaps that makes a trade more likely in the next 10 days, but for now, Butler won’t be playing for anyone.

The Miami Heat have announced that star player Jimmy Butler has been suspended indefinitely without pay after he walked out of a team shootaround. The incident occurred earlier today, leaving the team without one of their key players for an undetermined amount of time.

Butler, known for his fiery personality and competitive nature, has had run-ins with coaches and teammates in the past. This latest incident has raised concerns about his commitment to the team and his willingness to adhere to team rules and protocols.

The Heat organization has not released any further details about the suspension or what led to Butler’s actions. Fans and analysts alike are left speculating about the future of the All-Star player and how this will impact the team’s performance moving forward.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Jason Kelce walks back Jayden Daniels-Jalen Hurts debate before NFC Championship

The Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles are getting ready to face off for the third time this season. However, this third meeting will have much more juice behind it as the winner of the NFC Championship game will move on to play either the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl LIX from New Orleans.

The build up to this game has been at a high all week and that hasn’t been missed by many and that also goes for NFL and Eagles‘ legend Jason Kelce who made some interesting comments regarding his stance on the two teams facing off, heavily siding with his former team when speaking on a radio spot earlier this week.

‘”I’ll be very candid. I think the Eagles are better at every position,’ he said Thursday during a radio spot. ‘I don’t know that there is one position if you put the two rosters, the depth charts next to each other that I would take the Washington player over the Eagle player. And that is a very honest assessment,” Kelce said. “I think that the Eagles are loaded. And Washington to their credit, they play extremely well as a team. [Head coach] Dan Quinn is a fantastic coach, they scheme things well.”

A pretty strong statement there from the eldest Kelce brother. Believing and knowing are two different things and when comparing the rosters, yes the Eagles’ roster greatly overpowers the Commanders. However, saying at every position is a stretch especially considering that rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has outperformed the veteran Jalen Hurts this season.

Kelce took heat for his statements across social media with fans and media alike both stating that obvious fact. Following getting crushed for his original statements, Kelce took to his ‘X’ platform and attempted to clarify what he was actually talking about during his segment on the radio show.

ESPN personality and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce on set before the game between the Cowboys and Texans.

    Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images

READ MORE: Staff Predictions Ahead of Commanders vs. Eagles NFC Championship Game

“Just to clarify, I wasn’t really talking about the QBs with this quote, I had already brought them up in the convo. I was talking about all the other positions, I could have been clearer with that. I think both QBs are incredible, Jayden is having an insane rookie season. Washington is very good, obviously, their linebackers are fantastic, and the DTs Allen and Payne are very good. They are good across the board,” Kelce wrote on ‘X’. “In the rest of the interview I go on to say Washington plays very well as a team, they’re very physical, well coached, and a resilient group. It’s going to be a dog fight. Wasn’t trying to say anything negative about them.”

Kelce made sure to clarify that he wasn’t strictly speaking on the two quarterbacks while further explaining the rest of the interview that he had during the segment, not just the snippet that was captured online. While Kelce may have given Washington their flowers, it is no shocker where his allegiances lie as he spent 13 seasons in Philly.

As I previously mentioned, Daniels has outplayed Hurts this season throwing for over 600 more yards and seven touchdowns while also outpacing him on the ground by 261 yards while Hurts has the edge in rushing touchdowns 14 to Daniels’ six due to him getting tons of opportunities at the goal line with the ‘tush push’ quarterback sneak.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (5) runs the ball against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Both rosters and quarterbacks are respected by either side and we will finally get to see them matchup in an all-important game for a chance to reach the Super Bowl.

In a surprising turn of events, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has officially walked back his previous comments regarding the Jayden Daniels-Jalen Hurts debate ahead of the NFC Championship game.

Kelce, who sparked controversy earlier in the week with his bold declaration that Daniels was the superior quarterback over Hurts, has now publicly apologized for his remarks and clarified that he fully supports Hurts as the team’s starting quarterback.

“I want to set the record straight and make it clear that I have the utmost respect for Jalen Hurts and believe in his abilities as our quarterback,” Kelce said in a statement released by the Eagles. “I let my emotions get the best of me in the heat of the moment, and I want to apologize to Jalen and the entire team for any confusion or distraction my comments may have caused.”

Kelce’s retraction comes just days before the Eagles are set to face off against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game, with Hurts leading the charge as the team’s starting quarterback. Despite the initial controversy, it appears that Kelce and the rest of the Eagles are now fully focused on the task at hand and are ready to give it their all in pursuit of a spot in the Super Bowl.

As the Eagles prepare to take on the Packers, Kelce’s walk back of the Daniels-Hurts debate serves as a reminder of the importance of unity and support within the team. With Hurts leading the way, the Eagles will look to prove their doubters wrong and come out on top in what is sure to be an intense and hard-fought matchup.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Eagles gear up for the NFC Championship game and continue their quest for Super Bowl glory. Let’s go Birds! #FlyEaglesFly

Darren Till vs. Anthony Taylor headlines Misfits Boxing 20 on Saturday at Co-Op Live in Manchester, England. (Photo via Misfits Boxing)

Uncrowned has Misfits Boxing 20 results, live round-by-round updates, start time and highlights for the Darren Till vs. Anthony Taylor fight card on Saturday night at the Co-Op Live in Manchester, England. One-time UFC title challenger Darren Till makes his Misfits Boxing debut against fellow MMA veteran and current Misfits light heavyweight champion Anthony Taylor in the night’s main event.

Till and Taylor have had a heated build-up to their 195-pound showdown. Till ignited a minor skirmish at Friday’s final faceoff after shoving Taylor in the throat. The two also had an explosive face-to-face on Uncrowned’s “The Ariel Helwani Show” after Till crashed Taylor’s pre-fight interview.

Till was initially scheduled to face Tommy Fury in the bout, however Fury withdrew in a bizarre manner following the pair’s introductory press conference, citing fears over Till using “MMA tactics.”

Till (18-5-1 MMA) has competed only once in boxing, scoring a second-round stoppage win over Mohammad Mutie in a July 2024 exhibition that ended in a wild brawl. Once an undefeated contender in the UFC’s welterweight division, the Liverpool native ultimately lost five of his final six UFC bouts before requesting his release from the promotion in 2023.

Taylor (7-5 MMA, 7-5-1 boxing) struggled to find consistent success as an MMA fighter but has flourished in the influencer boxing scene, winning four straight bouts under the Misfits Boxing banner and becoming the promotion’s reigning light heavyweight champion. His title is not on the line in Saturday’s bout.

In the Misfits Boxing 20 co-main event, combat sports commentator Wade Plemons makes his boxing debut against Masai Warrior.

Misfits Boxing 20: Till vs. Taylor begins at 2 p.m. ET on DAZN, with the main event ring walks expected around 5 p.m. ET.
