10:31 Local Time, 05:01 GMT, 10:31 IST: Sri Lanka have been bundled out for just 165 and with the deficit being a mammoth 489 runs, Australia have decided to enforce the follow-on. Definitely the right call too, we’ve heard that there’s some rain expected later in the afternoon again so Australia will want all the time they can have to bowl Sri Lanka out a second time. Their bowlers should be relatively fresh too considering they bowled only 27 overs yesterday. In total, they bowled only 52.2 overs with Starc only bowling 8 so they should be raring to go once more. Sorry looking batting card for Sri Lanka. The openers went cheaply and there were a lot of soft-dismissals. Chandimal was the only standout with 72. Lot of batters got starts but went on to throw it away. The surface is offering plenty to the spinners when they put it in the right areas. With some discipline and patience, Australia should bundle Sri Lanka out easily once again. The weather is their only foe.
The first Test match between Sri Lanka and Australia in the Australia tour of Sri Lanka, 2025 ended in a draw with Sri Lanka scoring 165 & 0/0 in their first innings and Australia declaring at 654/6 in their first innings.
Sri Lanka’s openers Oshada Fernando and Dimuth Karunaratne were dismissed for ducks in their first innings, facing just one ball each. Despite the early setbacks, Sri Lanka managed to reach a total of 165 in their first innings.
Australia’s batsmen dominated the match with a massive total of 654/6 declared in their first innings. The highlight of their innings was a brilliant performance by their captain, scoring a double century.
The match ended in a draw as Sri Lanka managed to hold on in their second innings without losing any wickets. Overall, it was a thrilling match with both teams putting up a strong fight. Stay tuned for more updates on the series.

PORTLAND, Maine —
Maine’s Total Weather is tracking a clipper system that has arrived in the state and is set to bring several inches of snow to many people on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of Cumberland, Androscoggin, York, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Lincoln and Knox counties, as well as coastal areas of Waldo County. That advisory will be in effect until 1 p.m.
Coastal communities in Hancock and Washington counties, meanwhile, will be under a winter weather advisory until 4 p.m.
The snowstorm moved in during the overnight hours and will continue through much of Wednesday morning, so it will be impacting drivers during the morning commute by creating slick travel conditions.
The storm will begin to clear between 10 and 11 a.m. before another cold front moves in during the afternoon, bringing scattered snow showers and potential snow squalls until the early evening.
Southern Maine, Oxford County, and communities all along the Maine coast should expect 3 to 5 inches of light, fluffy snow. Areas near Bangor and Waterville are expected to see 1 to 3 inches of snow, while communities in far northern Maine will likely see less than 2 inches of snowfall.
Maine will see a break from the snow on Thursday, but temperatures are going to be cold. Conditions get warmer on Friday, but more snow is expected that evening.
On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Maine residents woke up to a winter wonderland – and a nightmare for their morning commute. A snowstorm had blanketed the state overnight, dumping several inches of snow and creating treacherous driving conditions.
Roads were slick and visibility was low, leading to numerous accidents and delays. Commuters found themselves crawling along highways and side streets, trying to navigate the slippery terrain.
Schools and businesses were forced to delay openings or close altogether, as plow crews worked tirelessly to clear the roads. Public transportation services were also impacted, with buses running behind schedule and some routes canceled.
Despite the challenges, Mainers showed their resilience and determination, helping each other out and braving the elements to get to their destinations. As the snow continued to fall throughout the day, residents were reminded of the harsh reality of winter in Maine – but also the sense of community that comes with it.
Stay safe and stay warm, Maine!

Marvel Studios has the perfect opportunity to finally bring a missing element from T’Challa’s costume into the MCU if the Black Panther is recast. T’Challa is one of Marvel’s most notable and important superheroes, which made him an instant favorite in the MCU when the late Chadwick Boseman brought T’Challa’s Black Panther to life in Captain America: Civil War. Boseman’s sudden passing in 2020 led to T’Challa being written out of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, however, leaving a huge void in the MCU.
According to insider Jeff Sneider, Marvel Studios is “firmly open” to recasting T’Challa’s Black Panther in the MCU. This was avoided in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as the sequel instead dealt directly with the cast, crew and audience’s grief of losing both Chadwick Boseman and T’Challa, but, now, the exploration of the multiverse means a new T’Challa can debut in the MCU. This new iteration could be vastly different from Boseman’s version, and could be even more comic-accurate than the MCU’s original Black Panther.
Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa Never Wore A Cape In The MCU
While Chadwick Boseman did an incredible job at delivering a T’Challa full of likable qualities and a charismatic and vulnerable personality, not everything about his character stayed faithful to the Wakandan protector from Marvel Comics. Notably, Marvel Studios massively upgraded the Black Panther’s costume for the live-action MCU, making it far more modern and armored, and, crucially, removing the cape. T’Challa’s Black Panther sported a cape in his very first Marvel Comics appearance back in 1966’s Fantastic Four #52, but this hasn’t been a permanent addition.
Many superheroes sported capes in Marvel Comics which were subsequently removed in the live-action MCU. While the likes of Thor and Vision retained updated versions of their classic comic looks, the Black Panther’s cape was permanently removed for the MCU, but recasting the iconic hero now presents the opportunity for it to be reintroduced. Debuting a variant of T’Challa’s Black Panther means Marvel can take some creative liberties with the new iteration, and kitting him out with a cape would be a great development.
What Other Black Panther Costume Changes Could A Recast T’Challa Make?
A New Black Panther Could Be Very Different
A cape isn’t the only addition that Marvel Studios could make to the new Black Panther costume if T’Challa is recast in Avengers: Doomsday, Secret Wars or the MCU’s upcoming Black Panther 3. In fact, the Black Panther has sported many different costumes in Marvel Comics that could inspire the hero’s new suit in the MCU, most notably, the Black Panther’s iconic sleek bodysuit outfit that has perhaps already been glimpsed in Bashenga’s appearance in Black Panther. This is T’Challa’s most prominent costume in Marvel Comics, so would be great to see in the MCU.
While I would love to see T’Challa’s Black Panther recast in the MCU, these recent reports have me worried about the future of Letitia Wright’s Shuri.
Alternatively, the MCU’s new Black Panther could sport a half-mask costume, don a cloak inspired by his 1800s look, be depicted as more of a cowboy or take on his heavy-duty Man Without Fear design. The latter saw T’Challa operate as the protector of Hell’s Kitchen in Daredevil’s absence, which could be a fun story to explore following the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series. One thing’s for sure, recasting T’Challa’s Black Panther in the MCU creates some enormous and exciting opportunities for Marvel Studios.
Black Panther is the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and sees the titular hero return after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Set in the fictional nation of Wakanda, Black Panther sees the succession of T’Challa as the nation’s new king. However, when a mysterious soldier with ill intentions arrives with proof of his claim to the throne, the future of Wakanda is thrown into jeopardy.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the sequel to the 2018 film Black Panther and is part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gripping with the passing of their king, the nation of Wakanda attempts to figure out how to move forward with Queen Mother Ramonda (Angela Bassett) and Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright) at the helm. However, a nation in grieving is not observed by all, as soon Wakanda comes under attack by the underwater civilization of Talocan, led by Namor (Tenoch Huerta.) Wakanda will enlist allies outside and from within to push back this new invading threat and ensure that Wakanda truly does live on forever.
Upcoming MCU Movies
Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of T’Challa in Black Panther was iconic, and his costume was a key element in bringing the character to life. However, there was one key element missing from the costume that we would love to see when T’Challa is recast in future films.
That missing element is the inclusion of the Black Panther’s cape. In the comics, T’Challa is often depicted wearing a sleek black cape that not only adds a regal flair to his appearance but also serves as a practical tool in battle. The cape is made of vibranium, the same material as T’Challa’s suit, and can be used for protection, stealth, and even as a weapon.
While the absence of the cape in Boseman’s costume was a stylistic choice that helped to modernize the character for the big screen, we believe that incorporating it into future iterations of the Black Panther would be a fitting tribute to the comic book origins of the character.
The cape could be designed in a way that is both functional and visually striking, adding an extra layer of depth to T’Challa’s character and making him even more formidable in battle. Plus, seeing T’Challa don the cape for the first time in a future film would be a powerful moment that pays homage to the legacy of Chadwick Boseman while also propelling the character forward into new and exciting adventures.
In conclusion, while Boseman’s Black Panther costume was undeniably amazing, we can’t help but hope that the next actor to take on the role will have the opportunity to wear the Black Panther’s iconic cape and continue to honor the character’s rich history in the Marvel universe.
Nicole Kidman is going through an incredible moment in her career. The Australian actress has met all manner of acclaim with her new film “Babygirl,” where she plays a powerful CEO involved in a romantic relationship with a young intern. The film shows a new side of herself to the world, something that she’s described as terrifying and exhilarating as a professional actor who’s been making movies for the past 40 years.
The stars of Babygirl: Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas, and Harris Dickinson
In an interview with Fotograma, Kidman opened up about the process of making the film, including the bond she developed with her onscreen husband Antonio Banderas.
When discussing the film’s approach to masculinity, Kidman was quick to praise the men she worked with, including Harris Dickinson, who plays the role of the young intern, and Banderas.
“This was the great fortune of finding men like Harris, who walked into the kitchen and said ‘Here I am, I’m yours.’ And Antonio, who gave us the okay from the start,” reports the outlet in Spanish. “I saw him and I felt like we’d been married forever. That he was someone with experience.”

What does Kidman think of the possibility of an Oscar nomination?
The interview also addressed Kidman’s odds of acquiring an Oscar nomination. While she seemed happy by the positive acclaim that the film met, she made it clear that Oscar recognition is not the reason why she took on these parts.
“As an actress, I’m always looking for new paths that take me somewhere I’ve never been. Exploring new territories with people I trust. That’s what we did in ‘Babygirl’”.
Kidman is one of the world’s most beloved actresses, acquiring five Oscar nominations throughout her career, for the films “Moulin Rouge,” “The Hours,” “Rabbit Hole,” “Lion,” and “Being The Ricardos.” She’s won the award once, for “The Hours,” in the year 2002.
Nicole Kidman has been promoting the film during awards season
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nicole Kidman opened up about her experience working with Antonio Banderas on their upcoming film ‘Babygirl’. The Australian actress revealed that she felt an instant connection with Banderas and that their bond on set was unlike anything she had ever experienced before.
“I felt like we’d been married our entire lives,” Kidman gushed. “There was just this undeniable chemistry between us that made every scene we shot together feel incredibly natural and authentic.”
‘Babygirl’ tells the story of a forbidden romance between a young woman and an older man, played by Banderas. Kidman plays the woman’s mother, who struggles to come to terms with her daughter’s relationship.
Despite the controversial subject matter of the film, Kidman and Banderas approached their roles with sensitivity and depth, creating a complex and nuanced portrayal of their characters’ emotions.
“I have so much respect for Antonio as an actor and as a person,” Kidman said. “Working with him on ‘Babygirl’ was a truly unforgettable experience and I can’t wait for audiences to see the magic we created together on screen.”
‘Babygirl’ is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival later this year, and fans of Kidman and Banderas are eagerly anticipating the chance to see these two talented actors bring their undeniable chemistry to the big screen.
