  • Coaches Poll Top 25 College Basketball Rankings released after Week 13

The USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25 has been updated following a superb thirteenth week for the 2024-2025 men’s college basketball season.

With conferences showdowns raging on, the schedule continues to provide awesome matchups and intriguing results. Many of the top teams in the country were still able to stamp their mark on the week, while others fell in the process, leading to some serious changes throughout the Top 25.

With that in mind, the sport’s brightest coaching minds put their brains together to come up with some rankings after Week 13. Check out the Top 25 below, and see if your team made the cut as the season progresses.

Auburn advanced to 20-1 over the past week. They defeated LSU on Wednesday, and followed that up with a win over Ole Miss on Saturday, furthering their resume as the best team in the nation.

The Tigers have two games this week, but one will be an intense conference battle. They’re facing Florida on Saturday afternoon, but before that a clash with Oklahoma is on the slate for Tuesday.

Duke took care of business against their top rival over the weekend. Kon Knueppel led the way with 22 points, as they sent North Carolina home with a 17-point loss on Saturday.

At 19-2, the Blue Devils are hoping to keep the good times rolling this week. They’ll travel to face Syracuse on Wednesday, and then a trip to Clemson is on the docket for this weekend.

Alabama defeated Georgia by 21 on Saturday. That’s something football fans would love to see the Crimson Tide do over and over again when they play the Bulldogs, but it was the basketball team that took care of business this time around.

At 19-3, Alabama has become one of the top teams in the country, truly elevating their game. They’ll travel to face Arkansas on Saturday evening next.

Tennessee had an uneven week. First, they fell to Kentucky last Tuesday by five, but then they beat Florida by double digits over the weekend, which was huge for their psyche.

At 18-4, the Volunteers have two games this week. Missouri is on the docket for Wednesday, and then they’ll take on Oklahoma over the weekend.

Houston was on a roll, especially after defeating West Virginia on Wednesday. However, it all came to a halt over the weekend, as Texas Tech defeated the Cougars by one in overtime on Saturday.

They’ll have two chances to get back on track this week. Houston will face Oklahoma State on Tuesday, followed by a clash with Colorado this coming Saturday.

It was a disappointing weekend for Florida. They’d been on a solid run, but a trip to Knoxville didn’t end well for them, as the Gators fell by 20 to Tennessee.

There’s no rest for the weary though. Florida will face Vanderbilt on Tuesday, and then travel to take on No. 1 Auburn on Saturday.

Purdue continued their winning ways this past week. The Boilermakers defeated Indiana over the weekend, which strengthened their resume.

Iowa and USC will be their opponents this week. Purdue will be hoping to notch their eighteenth and nineteenth wins of the season in the process.

    Joe Camporeale-Imagn Images

A brutal week took place for Iowa State. The Cyclones fell to 17-4, which doesn’t sound too bad, but they’re on a two-game losing streak, after Arizona and Kansas State defeated them.

It won’t get any easier for them this week though. Iowa State faces Kansas on Monday, and then they’ll welcome TCU to town on Saturday.

Michigan State suffered their third loss of the season over the weekend. A West Coast trip didn’t end well for them, as USC defeated the Spartans by six.

Perhaps they’ll be able to get back on the winning side this week. UCLA and Oregon will be their opponents, as Michigan State looks to get back on track.

St. John’s is firing on all cylinders at the moment. The Big East program defeated Providence by two over the weekend, moving to 19-3 on the season and continuing their ascent.

The Red Storm have two massive games this week. First, they’ll battle Marquette on Tuesday, and then they’ll face Connecticut on Friday. It could be a legendary week, or a disappointing one — it’ll be up to Rick Pitino to have his team ready for the challenge.

    Coaches Poll Top 25 — Nos. 11-25:

    11. Marquette (-2)
    12. Texas Tech (+7)
    13. Texas A&M (+2)

  • Disney Stock Has a Lot to Prove This Week

The media giant can’t top last year’s fiscal first-quarter fireworks, but it might still light up the sky this time.

It’s time to see how much cheese the House of Mouse scored over the past few months. Walt Disney (DIS -1.38%) reports its fiscal first-quarter results on Wednesday morning. It should be another period of modest top-line growth and healthy bottom-line improvement, but don’t expect the same kind of fireworks Disney launched into the air last February.

Disney had a proxy battle on its hands a year ago against two different activist groups ahead of its April annual shareholder meeting. This would be its last quarterly earnings call to woo investor support, and it made headlines beyond just a solid financial showing.

    • Disney announced that its annualized cost savings by the end of fiscal 2024 would top its earlier ambitious goal $7.5 billion.
    • In the peak of Taylor Swift mania, Disney+ started streaming the theatrically popular Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film in March.
    • The board cleared the path for up to $3 billion in share buybacks, its first repurchase since fiscal 2018.
    • After a history of falling short on the gaming front, Disney made a $1.5 billion investment in Fortnite developer Epic Games.
    • Disney raised its semiannual dividend by 50%, just months after bringing back its payouts since suspending its distributions at the start of the pandemic.
    • A Disney+ animated series based on Moana was fleshed out into a full-length theatrical feature. Moana 2 was one of just three movies coming out in the 2024 calendar year to top $1 billion in worldwide box office receipts. Scoring bonus points, all three films were Disney movies.

The stock jumped 12% the following trading day after the fiscal first-quarter results were unveiled. That will be a hard act for Disney to follow a year later. But that doesn’t mean this week’s report won’t move the needle. Let’s take a closer look.

    The bare necessities

Disney seems to be rolling right now. The stock bounced back in 2024 after three straight years of falling well short of the market. Despite its return to multiplex dominance and Disney+ profitability, expectations are tame for the fresh financials that will be announced before the market opens on Monday.

Analysts see revenue rising 4% to $24.55 billion for the seasonally potent three months ending in December. That small step isn’t a deal-breaker. Revenue growth was actually flat for the prior year’s blowout fiscal first quarter. In fact, this will be Disney’s seventh straight report of single-digit top-line growth.

There are some good reasons for the meandering revenue results. Rival Comcast (CMCSA -0.79%) just posted a 2% top-line increase for the same period, and that included flat results for its theme parks business. Disney’s domestic gated attractions have also been marching in place. Gains for Disney’s studio business and Disney+ will probably be partly offset by the steady retreat of its legacy linear networks segment. It’s troublesome that analysts were holding out for a 5% year-over-year jump in revenue a month ago, but this is largely a bottom-line growth story now.

The profitability of Disney’s streaming operations and improvements elsewhere should deliver another quarter of double-digit growth for its adjusted earnings. Wall Street pros are expecting the adjusted profit to climb 17% to $1.43 per share. Disney exceeded analysts’ expectations on the bottom line consistently through fiscal 2024. Can it keep the welcome trend going in fiscal 2025?

    Be prepared

A Disney financial update is rarely just about the numbers. Disney puts out slides with every quarterly report, complete with any new or revised debut dates for content and theme park attractions. Last year, investors saw how a simple move to turn an upcoming Disney+ animated series into a theatrical release culminated with a $1 billion blockbuster that will eventually work its way to the streaming platform.

Will Disney provide any insight on CEO Bob Iger’s succession strategy or how it plans to compete with Comcast when its Epic Universe theme park opens in Florida three months from now? Can the entertainment bellwether shed some more light on the surprising discontinuation of its Venu Sports partnership? Disney doesn’t have to answer any or all of these questions, but shareholders will feel a lot more enlightened later this week. It helps that there’s no proxy battle drama this time around.

Rick Munarriz has positions in Walt Disney. The Motley Fool has positions in and recommends Walt Disney. The Motley Fool recommends Comcast. The Motley Fool has a disclosure policy.

Disney stock has a lot to prove this week as it faces increased scrutiny and high expectations from investors. With the company’s recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox and the launch of its highly anticipated streaming service, Disney+, all eyes are on the entertainment giant.

Investors are eager to see how Disney’s various ventures will impact its bottom line and whether the company can continue its streak of success in the ever-evolving media landscape. The streaming wars are heating up, with competitors like Netflix, Amazon, and Apple all vying for a piece of the market.

Disney’s stock price has been on a rollercoaster ride in recent months, as uncertainty looms over the future of traditional media and the rise of streaming services. Analysts are closely watching Disney’s earnings report and guidance for any signs of weakness or strength in its various business segments.

As Disney prepares to enter a new era of entertainment, the stakes are higher than ever. Will Disney stock prove its worth to investors this week, or will it fall short of expectations? Only time will tell.

  • Seal And Heidi Klum’s Son, Henry, Made His Runway Debut At Paris Fashion Week

Heidi Klum and Seal’s 19-year-old son, Henry Samuel, is following in their entertainment footsteps.

On January 28th, Samuel made his runway debut at the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 Show during Paris Fashion Week, opening the presentation. The Project Runway host was so proud of her son’s big moment and decided to gush about him in a sweet Instagram post on Jan. 28, featuring a video of him storming the catwalk in an all-black suit with a cutout in the back. “So proud of you, Henry,” the 51-year-old wrote. “Opening the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Show in Paris  @henrysamle @lena_erziak.”

Although it was his first time walking in a fashion, he had pro tips for strutting on the runway. “For walking the runway,” he said during an interview with Vogue Germany, “I guess not being like the turtle and keeping my posture up and straightening my back. And looking forward.”

Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel was born in Los Angeles on Sep. 12, 2005, and is the former couple’s second child. Klum spoke to PEOPLE about the newest addition to her family shortly after his birth.

“Everyone who sees him says, ‘Oh my god, he looks just like Seal.’ And I’m like, ‘He has nothing of me? C’mon, there must be something of me in there somewhere.’ And they’re like, ‘No, sorry, he looks just like his father,’ ” she said of her son at the time.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping, Klum also spoke about Henry’s unique fashion sense and keen eye for fashion in 2011. “He lives in his own world,” she said. “We went to dinner all dressed properly [and Henry wore dinosaur slippers]. You can barely walk in those things, but for him, it’s not weird at all.”

We’re looking forward to watching Henry tear up the runway in the future.

Seal And Heidi Klum’s Son, Henry, Made His Runway Debut At Paris Fashion Week

  • Heidi Klum and Seal’s Son Made His Runway Debut at Couture Fashion Week

Heidi Klum‘s son, Henry Samuel, is following in his super model mother’s footsteps. Earlier this week, the burgeoning model made his runway debut during the Lena Erziak Haute Couture spring 2025 show as a part of Paris Couture Week.

While coming down the runway, Samuel, whom Klum shares with ex-husband Seal, wore two different black suits: One featured a backless blazer and a sash tied around his waist, while the other was accessorized with a large satin cape that had bedazzled brooches and was draped over his shoulders. The 19-year-old’s braids were worn in a half-up style, and he sported a mustache.

    Getty Images

Although it doesn’t seem that Klum was in attendance at Tuesday’s show, she was quite the proud mother when she took to Instagram to share a clip of Samuel walking. “I still can’t get over this! You rocked it Henry—I‘m so proud of you! @henrysamle @lena_erziak,” she wrote alongside the video that was captured by Vogue Germany.

Ahead of the show, Samuel told the publication that he was excited to get out there and enjoy his foray into the fashion world. “I’m more excited than nervous. I’m going to do my best and try to enjoy every moment to the fullest!”

    Getty Images

Samuel shared that he also got some words of wisdom from his famous mother and model sister, Leni Klum—who made her own runway debut in 2021. “Leni told me to look straight ahead and walk as if I was balancing a book on my head,” he shared. “My mother told me to do my best and not forget to have fun.

    Getty Images

“My mother often reminds me to pay attention to my posture, so I try to heed her advice,” he added.

Klum and Seal share Henry and Leni, as well as son Johan and daughter Lou. Klum and Seal split in 2012, and the model went on to re-marry Tom Kaulitz in 2019. Klum previously revealed that Kaulitz has a great relationship with her kids and even asked their blessing before proposing to their mom. “The sweetest thing that my partner has done for me is [ask] my kids first if he could ask for my hand,” she told People last year. “He was in cahoots with my kids. They figured out how they were going to do it and then they all surprised me on Christmas morning. I thought that was so nice that he involved my kids.”

Heidi Klum and Seal’s son, Johan Samuel, made his runway debut at Couture Fashion Week and stole the show! Johan, who is only 14 years old, walked the runway for the first time and impressed everyone with his confidence and poise.

Heidi Klum, who is a renowned supermodel and fashion icon, was in the front row cheering on her son as he strutted his stuff on the catwalk. Seal, Johan’s father and Grammy-winning singer, was also in attendance and couldn’t have been more proud of his son’s accomplishment.

Johan looked dashing in a designer suit and showed off his modeling skills with grace and style. It’s clear that he has inherited his parents’ talent and charisma, and we can’t wait to see where his modeling career takes him in the future.

Congratulations to Johan Samuel on his runway debut at Couture Fashion Week – we have a feeling this is just the beginning of a successful modeling career for this young star!

  • Serie A Week 23 official line-ups

Official: Kyle Walker joins Milan from Manchester City (picture via www.acmilan.com/it)

Milan give Kyle Walker his debut with Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao, while Inter bring Hakan Calhanoglu back in support of Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.

It kicks off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, in the San Siro area of Milan, at 17.00 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games on the Liveblog.

This is the third time in the current campaign that the Derby della Madonnina has been played, with Milan so far winning 2-1 in Serie A back in September and 3-2 in the Supercoppa Italiana Final in Riyadh on January 6.

That was only Sergio Conceicao’s second game in charge and his side were trailing 2-0 before fighting back to take the trophy.

The Rossoneri have Youssouf Fofana suspended, Emerson Royal, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Alessandro Florenzi injured, plus Malick Thiaw not fully fit, but the transfer market has decimated the squad further.

Alvaro Morata is heading to Galatasaray, Davide Calabria to Bologna, with new signing Santiago Gimenez watching from the stands ahead of his move from Feyenoord.

So Abraham has to lead the attack with Pulisic and Leao, while Walker is thrown straight into the starting XI for his Serie A debut.

Confidence is low after Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

MILAN, ITALY – NOVEMBER 10: Hakan Calhanoglu of FC Internazionale celebrates scoring his team’s first goal during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and Napoli at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on November 10, 2024 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by Marco Luzzani/Getty Images)

Inter only lost one Serie A match all season, the derby back in September 2024, and comfortably beat 10-man AS Monaco 3-0 to secure a place in the Round of 16.

Joaquin Correa is the only remaining injury absentee, as Calhanoglu returns to the starting XI against his former club and Francesco Acerbi is back on the bench.

So is Nicola Zalewski, who completed his loan with option to buy move from Roma just in time for the midnight deadline.

After a dry spell, Lautaro Martinez now can’t seem to stop scoring, with seven goals in the last five competitive games.

    Milan vs. Inter line-ups

NAPLES, ITALY – JANUARY 25: Randal Kolo Muani of Juventus during the Serie A match between Napoli and Juventus at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on January 25, 2025 in Naples, Italy. (Photo by Francesco Pecoraro/Getty Images)

Juventus hope Randal Kolo Muani and debutant Renato Veiga can revitalise their lagging campaign, as anything less than victory against Empoli would be deeply damaging.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 11.30 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games on the Liveblog.

Thiago Motta is really feeling the pressure now after some dismal results, culminating in a 2-1 defeat at Napoli and midweek 2-0 home loss to Benfica in the Champions League.

Bologna have now caught them in the Serie A table and injuries are also piling up, because Pierre Kalulu is out for a month, with Andrea Cambiaso, Arkadiusz Milik, Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal all on the treatment table.

Kolo Muani scored on his debut against Napoli, but was cup-tied in Europe, so makes his return here and pushes Dusan Vlahovic back onto the bench.

Renato Veiga, who arrived on loan from Chelsea this week, is thrown straight into the starting XI, with Tim Weah again a makeshift left-back.

Teun Koopmeiners was dropped midweek and comes back here, flanked by Nico Gonzalez and Kenan Yildiz.

    Renato Veiga Juventus

Empoli have just two points from the last seven Serie A games, which were 1-1 draws against Venezia and Bologna.

Alberto Grassi and Giuseppe Pezzella both sit out bans, with Nicolas Haas, Ola Solbakken, Tyronne Ebuehi, Saba Sazonov and Pietro Pellegri injured.

Defender Mattia Viti is also not at 100 per cent, but striker Lorenzo Colombo leads the way with support from Jacopo Fazzini.

It is a return to the Juventus Stadium for ex-Bianconeri player Mattia De Sciglio.

Curiously, these sides will cross paths again in the Coppa Italia quarter-final on February 26.

    Juventus vs. Empoli line-ups

Juventus: Di Gregorio; Savona, Gatti, Veiga, Weah; Locatelli, McKennie; Yildiz, Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez; Kolo Muani

Empoli: Vasquez; De Sciglio, Ismajli, Marianucci; Gyasi, Henderson, Anjorin, Cacace; Esposito, Fazzini; Colombo

    Juventus

    Empoli

Here are the official line-ups for Serie A Week 23 matches:

    1. Inter Milan vs. AC Milan
Inter Milan: Handanovic, Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni, Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Perisic, Martinez, Lukaku
AC Milan: Donnarumma, Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez, Kessie, Tonali, Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic, Ibrahimovic

    2. Juventus vs. Napoli
