    Injury news

    Updated through 5 p.m. ET, Dec. 26

    Thursday Night Football

Zach Charbonnet, RB, SEA (elbow) — Active
Kenneth Walker III, RB, SEA (ankle) — Injured reserve
Seattle placed Walker on injured reserve, while Charbonnet is off the injury report and expected to play. After Charbonnet excelled with Walker out due to injury, the expectation was that the two backs would share carries. But Walker had eight carries and eight receptions to Charbonnet’s single carry for negative yards and two receptions in Week 16. Without Walker, Charbonnet is back in RB1 territory against an ever-worsening Bears rush defense.

Noah Fant, TE, SEA (knee) — Active
Fant was a limited participant in Monday’s practice but is expected to play. Last week, he had three receptions for 50 yards and is averaging only 6.53 PPR points per game this year.

    Saturday

J.K. Dobbins, RB, LAC (knee) — Questionable
Gus Edwards, RB, LAC (ankle) — Out
Los Angeles opened Dobbins’ 21-day practice window, according to the Chargers’ official site. Gus Edwards, Kimani Vidal and company have been largely unable to replace Dobbins’ production, and the Chargers would love to get their RB1 back. Edwards had his best game in Week 16, finishing with 20.1 PPR points, 68 rushing yards and two touchdowns but has been ruled out for Week 17. If Dobbins and Edwards sit, Vidal could lead the backfield in Week 17.

Will Dissly, TE, LAC (shoulder) — Questionable
Dissly hasn’t played since Week 14, and in his absence, Stone Smartt has been the top tight end (even with Hayden Hurst’s return). Smartt had three receptions for 37 yards in Week 16, but if Dissly returns, he’s the tight end to roster for the Chargers.

Tee Higgins, WR, CIN (ankle/knee) — Questionable
Higgins was limited in practice Tuesday. He began last week on the injury report, too, and then scored 19.8 PPR points for the second week in a row. The Bengals have one of the best WR duos in the league in Ja’Marr Chase and Higgins.

James Conner, RB, ARI (knee) — Questionable
Trey Benson, RB, ARI (ankle) — Questionable
Conner injured his knee against Carolina in Week 16 and is questionable for Week 17. Backup Trey Benson has been on the injury report lately, but he’s an RB2 with RB1 upside if he starts. If Benson and Conner sit, Michael Carter will start and can be flexed. DeeJay Dallas could see some carries too in that scenario; Emari Demercado is on injured reserve.

Matt Prater, K, ARI (knee) — Questionable
Prater put in a limited practice Wednesday. If he sits this week, Chad Ryland will kick again. Ryland has made 86.2 percent of his field goals and is 3-for-3 on 50-plus yard attempts. He’s also made all extra-point attempts.

    Sunday 1 p.m.

Xavier Legette, WR, CAR (hip) — Questionable
Adam Thielen, WR, CAR (hamstring) — Questionable
Head coach Dave Canales said Legette is day-to-day but would need to make “significant” progress to suit up in Week 17, according to The Athletic’s Joe Person. Without Legette last week, Adam Thielen (limited in practice Thursday) had five catches for 43 yards and a touchdown. David Moore also caught a touchdown pass but was targeted only three times. Jalen Coker saw five targets but ended with only eight receiving yards.

Chuba Hubbard, RB, CAR (knee) — Questionable
Hubbard was limited in practice with a knee injury. Hubbard had a massive Week 16 with 152 rushing yards on 25 carries, two touchdowns, and four receptions for 13 yards. Raheem Blackshear and Velus Jones Jr. are next on the Panthers’ depth chart.

CeeDee Lamb, WR, DAL (shoulder) — Out
Lamb is out for the final two games of the season, the Cowboys said in a statement, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. In Week 16, he had 100-plus receiving yards for the second week in a row; he had 93 and a touchdown the week before that. Now it’s up to Brandin Cooks, Jalen Tolbert and TE Jake Ferguson to fill the massive void Lamb leaves behind.

Anthony Richardson, QB, IND (back/foot) — Questionable
Richardson didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice, but the Colts are optimistic that he will start, according to ESPN’s Stephen Holder. The Colts have recommitted to Richardson as the starter, but if he can’t play, Joe Flacco will likely get the nod. While inconsistent, Richardson is in QB1 territory this week going against the Giants. In the past five weeks, Richardson has scored over 20 fantasy points three times.

Alec Pierce, WR, IND (concussion) — Questionable
Pierce missed last week due to a concussion but was a full participant during Wednesday’s practice. Pierce is the third-most targeted receiver in Indianapolis on a per-game basis (4.14) behind Josh Downs (7.5) and Michael Pittman Jr. (6.5).

Brenton Strange, TE, JAX (shoulder)  — Questionable
Strange was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice. In Week 15, Strange had 11 receptions and 73 yards receiving but had only two receptions for 22 yards in Week 16.

Derek Carr, QB, NO (hand) — Questionable
Carr fractured his left hand and hasn’t played since Week 14. The Saints were thumped by Green Bay on “Monday Night Football” in an embarrassing 34-0 loss. They’d love to get Carr back, but as recently as last week, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Saints QB was a few weeks away from being cleared for contact.

Alvin Kamara, RB, NO (groin) — Questionable
The Saints couldn’t get the running game going without Kamara against Green Bay on MNF. If he can’t play again, it’s hard to trust Kendre Miller after his 1.9-yards-per-carry performance Monday.

Chris Olave, RB, NO (concussion) — Questionable
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, NO (chest) — Questionable
Juwan Johnson, TE, NO (foot) — Questionable
Olave’s 21-day practice window was opened, and he could return for the Saints’ matchup against the Raiders on Sunday. But even then he’s hard to trust with QB Spencer Rattler under center. MVS had two good fantasy performances in Weeks 10 and 11 but since has averaged 9.83 PPR points. In Week 16, Johnson had two receptions for 27 yards, while Foster Moreau had two for 33. Until (if) Carr returns, the safest choice in fantasy is to avoid Saints pass catchers.

Malik Nabers, WR, NYG (ankle)  — Questionable
Nabers didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice and considers himself a “gameday decision,” according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. Nabers is averaging 16.93 PPR points per game, despite playing with three different (struggling) quarterbacks this season. He had 13.8 points last week but scored 24.2 in Week 15.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB, NYG (ankle) — Questionable
Head coach Brian Daboll said Tracy aggravated his ankle injury against the Falcons, according to the Giants’ official site. If he sits, Devin Singletary will lead the backfield. But in Week 16, neither RB was productive; Tracy had seven carries for 26 yards, while Singletary had four for 12 yards.

Drew Lock, QB, NYG (shoulder) — Questionable
Head coach Brian Daboll said Lock is on track to play Sunday, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. If Lock can’t play, Tommy DeVito will likely start for the Giants in Week 17.

Davante Adams, WR, NYJ (hip) — Questionable
Aaron Rodgers and Adams have established chemistry over the past four weeks, and Adams has averaged 26.52 PPR points per game since Week 13. He’s also been targeted an average of 12 times, compared to Garrett Wilson’s 8.25. If Adams sits, Wilson could have a strong Week 17 performance.

Jalen Hurts, QB, PHI (concussion) — Questionable
Kenny Pickett, QB, PHI (ribs) — Questionable
Hurts left Week 16 with a concussion and was replaced by Kenny Pickett during the Eagles’ 3-point loss to the Commanders. Hurts is in concussion protocol, and Pickett had imaging done on his ribs. Tanner McKee is the third QB on Philly’s depth chart, and the Eagles are signing Ian Book to the practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo. If Hurts can’t play, temper expectations for A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but Brown could still fare well against a Dallas defense ranked 22nd in passing yards per game allowed (223.7) and 30th in yards per play allowed (5.8).

Cade Otton, TE, TB (knee) — Questionable
Otton was inactive for Week 16, and backup TE Payne Durham had five catches for 29 yards. Otton has been a great addition to Tampa Bay, but his best performance in the past six weeks came in Week 14 when he had 70 receiving yards on three catches and four targets.

Tony Pollard, RB, TEN (ankle) — Questionable
Pollard didn’t practice Wednesday, and if he can’t play, Tyjae Spears could be in for a big week. In Week 16, Spears had 10 carries for 27 rushing yards and added 39 receiving yards. Pollard rushed eight times for 35 yards and caught two passes for five yards.

Nick Folk, K, TEN (abdomen) — Questionable
Folk didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice. In Week 16, Brayden Narveson filled in and missed his only field-goal attempt. On the season (primarily with the Packers), Narevson has made only 66.7 percent of his kicks.

    Sunday 4 p.m.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, QB, CLE (calf) — Questionable
Jameis Winston, QB, CLE (shoulder) — Questionable
Jerry Jeudy, WR, CLE (knee/shin) — Questionable
Cedric Tillman, WR, CLE (concussion) — Questionable
David Njoku, TE, CLE (knee) — Questionable
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Njoku would need an MRI to diagnose the severity of his knee injury, according to the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram’s Scott Petrak. The Browns were dismal with Thompson-Robinson under center, losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 24-6, but Njoku was the primary pass catcher with 10 targets, eight receptions and 66 yards receiving. Jerry Jeudy had only two receptions for 20 yards. Tillman hasn’t played since Week 12 and shouldn’t start in fantasy championships. Stefanski said Thompson-Robinson will start as QB as long as he’s healthy, but DTR is questionable with a calf injury, and Jameis Winston was inactive in Week 16 with a shoulder injury. Maybe Bailey Zappe will get a chance this week?

Christian Watson, WR, GB (knee) — Questionable
Watson said after Monday’s lashing of New Orleans that he would get his knee examined and is “hoping for the best,” according to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman. On MNF, Dontayvion Wicks had a team-high seven targets but only three receptions and 13 receiving yards, though he did have a TD reception. Jayden Reed had three receptions and 76 receiving yards, while TE Tucker Kraft finished with 63 receiving yards.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, MIA (hip) — Questionable
Tyreek Hill, WR, MIA (wrist) — Questionable
Jaylen Waddle, WR, MIA (knee) — Questionable
Tagovailoa threw for 215 yards and a touchdown, finishing with a 92.2 passer rating in Week 16, but it’s hard to continue depending on Hill and Miami receivers for big points. Hill was targeted seven times but finished with only three catches for 29 yards, though he did score a touchdown. TE Jonnu Smith and RB De’Von Achane led the Dolphins in receiving. Hill is still averaging 12.98 PPR points per game, and his ceiling is at the 28 points he scored in Week 14. Waddle is averaging just over 10 PPR points per game and has a similar ceiling to Hill. Tua and Hill likely play this week, but Waddle missed Week 16 and didn’t practice Wednesday.

Tucker Kraft, TE, GB (hip) — Questionable
Luke Musgrave, TE, GB (ankle) — Questionable
Kraft and Musgrave were limited at Wednesday’s practice. While Musgrave returned to the field in Week 16, Kraft is the starting tight end for the Packers. Musgrave had only one target and no receptions; Kraft had three receptions for 63 receiving yards on four targets.

    Sunday Night Football

Drake London, WR, ATL (hamstring) — Questionable
Head coach Raheem Morris said London could have returned against the Giants in Week 16, according to the Falcons’ official site. With rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. under center in Week 16, London was targeted eight times and caught five passes for 59 yards. Darnell Mooney saw six targets and had five receptions for 82 yards. TE Kyle Pitts had one reception for seven yards and continues to disappoint.

Terry McLaurin, WR, WAS (ankle) — Questionable
McLaurin didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice. Since Week 12, McLaurin is averaging 22.95 PPR points per game, but last week Olamide Zaccheaus saw more targets and had two touchdowns. Still, McLaurin is the most reliable receiver in the Commanders’ offense and a fringe WR1 this week.

    Monday Night Football

Isaac Guerendo, RB, SF (foot/hamstring) — Questionable
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the 49ers expect Guerendo to practice Thursday, according to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. In Guerendo’s Week 16 absence, Patrick Taylor had eight carries for 24 yards, while WR Deebo Samuel had five carries for 25 yards.

    Thursday Night

Seattle Seahawks (8-7) vs. Chicago Bears (4-11)

    • Venue: Soldier Field — Chicago

Geno Smith and the Seahawks were prey to Sam Darnold’s 2024 redemption tour in Week 16, losing to the Vikings 27-24. In the loss, Jaxon Smith-Njigba once again out-targeted (12) and outgained (95 yards receiving) DK Metcalf (seven targets, 57 yards), but both receivers finished with a touchdown. Smith-Njigba is an easy start this week against a Bears defense that gives up 225.2 passing yards per game (23rd) and ranks second to last in opponent passing yards per attempt. Despite Zach Charbonnet’s promising performances in Kenneth Walker III’s absence due to injury, Walker returned as lead back (eight carries, 31 yards; eight receptions, 28 yards), and Kenny McIntosh saw more carries than Charbonnet. But Walker injured his ankle late in the game and has been placed on injured reserve, making Charbonnet an RB1/2 this week and next.

Chicago has lost its last nine games and was trolled by the Detroit Lions last week 34-17. Caleb Williams threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with a 107.7 passer rating and was Chicago’s leading rusher (six carries, 34 rushing yards). D’Andre Swift rushed nine times for 20 yards — just 2.2 yards per carry. Roschon Johnson had one carry for three yards. WR Keenan Allen was the standout, finishing with 141 yards receiving and a touchdown on a team-high 13 targets. DJ Moore and Rome Odunze also finished strong with 68 and 77 receiving yards, respectively. Since Week 11, on a per-game basis, Allen has led the team in targets, targets per route run, epa per target and receiving yards.

Jake Ciely’s Week 17 waiver wire guide

    Waiver wire running back ranks

    1. Jerome Ford, CLE — The D’Onta Foreman goal-line fumble opened the door for more Ford work, and he’s in the RB2 tier for the final week.
    2. Trey Benson and Michael Carter, ARI — If James Conner is out and Benson returns, Benson would be a Top 20 option — assuming he’s 100%. That would make Carter a flier RB3, but if Benson is out too, Carter becomes a fringe RB2 given his inconsistent career, and in the Tank Bigsby/Tyjae Spears range as a pickup.
    3. J.K. Dobbins, LAC — Could return. If Dobbins is back, he’s a huge risk but with upside for Top 20 value. Your call if you need the desperation start.

    Waiver wire wide receiver ranks

    1. Jalen McMillan, TB — Not much more to say at this point. McMillan has gone from locked-in WR3 status with upside to potentially WR2 value against the Panthers.
    2. Rashod Bateman, BAL — Only here if Zay Flowers is out. If Flowers plays, Bateman is down at the bottom of the list.
    3. Hollywood Brown, KC — Boom/bust WR4, as the Chiefs don’t use wideouts more than around 60% of the dropbacks, and maybe that changes with Brown, but it’s still a tough matchup.

The final week of the NFL regular season is upon us, and fantasy football managers and bettors alike are looking for any edge they can get to finish the year strong. In this cheat sheet, we’ll cover the latest news on player availability and injuries to help you make the best decisions for your lineups and wagers.

First up, running back Zach Charbonnet is active for the Los Angeles Rams in their crucial Week 17 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Charbonnet has been a key contributor for the Rams in recent weeks, and his presence in the backfield should give a boost to fantasy managers who have him in their lineup.

On the flip side, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury. Lamb has been a fantasy stud all year long, so this news is a tough blow for managers who were counting on him in the final week of the season. Look for other options to fill the void left by Lamb in your lineup.

As you prepare for Week 17, keep these updates in mind and make sure to adjust your fantasy lineups and betting strategies accordingly. Good luck and happy gaming!

Seattle Seahawks (8-7) vs. Chicago Bears (4-11)

    • Venue: Soldier Field — Chicago
    • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
    • TV: Prime Video

Week 17 Injury Update, Start/Sit Advice, Projections, and More

The Chicago Bears will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding RB D’Andre Swift.

Is D’Andre Swift Playing in Week 17?

Swift is not listed on the injury report this week. Barring any setbacks, he is expected to play on Thursday.

We’ll continue to monitor the Bears’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.

Should You Start or Sit D’Andre Swift in Week 17?

Swift hasn’t been a top-20 performer at the position since Week 11, and that was the last time he overachieved expectations. He’s averaging just 1.39 yards per carry before contact this season, a low rate that he has failed to reach in each of his past three games.

The role feels safe, and the versatility is enough to keep him in the Flex mix, but I can’t tell you that I’m thrilled about playing Swift. Remove two outlier carries this season, and we are talking about a running back who is averaging 3.4 yards per carry on an inconsistent offense.

There is more risk than reward with Swift these days, but 15+ touch projections don’t grow on trees. That’s enough to land him in the low end of my PPR Flex rankings.

D’Andre Swift’s Fantasy Points Projection in Week 17

As of Thursday, Swift is projected to score 13.7 fantasy points in PPR formats. This includes 11.6 rushing attempts for 51.2 yards and 0.4 touchdowns. It also includes 3.3 receptions for 24.8 yards and 0.1 touchdowns.

PFN Insight on the Seahawks’ Defense

After three straight weeks of above-average grades, Seattle’s defense has regressed in a pair of critical home losses to the Packers and Vikings. Week 16 brought a Defense+ grade of 73.2 (C-), which ranks ninth out of the Seahawks’ 15 games played this season.

The Seahawks have boasted an above-average red-zone defense, ranking 13th in TD rate allowed. However, they gave up touchdowns on both of the Vikings’ trips to the red zone on Sunday, contributing to the team’s fifth-worst defensive EPA per dropback average (-0.11) of the season.

This comes a week after the Seahawks averaged their second-worst defensive EPA per dropback and pass success rate of the season in the Packers’ loss.

While Mike Macdonald’s bold midseason personnel changes helped this unit make tremendous strides, it appears another offseason of evaluation and turnover is needed for the unit to thrive against the NFC’s best offenses.

Seahawks at Bears Trends and Insight

    Seattle Seahawks

Team: The Seahawks are 0-3 against the NFC North this season, allowing 27+ points in each of those losses (8-4 against everyone else with 27+ points allowed just three times).

QB: Geno Smith has been much more aggressive under pressure this season (8.1 aDOT) than last (6.4).

Offense: This Seattle offense was behind the eight-ball most of Week 16. Their average starting field position was their lowest of the year (their own 22.5-yard line).

Defense: The Seahawks allowed the Vikings to average 2.1 points per drive on Sunday, falling to 0-6 this season when they allow at least 1.9 points per drive.

Fantasy: All three of Kenneth Walker III’s career games with at least seven receptions have come this season (Weeks 5, 6, and 16). Fantasy managers can up his pass game projection in a significant way when you pencil in Seattle to lose – they are 1-9 when he sees at least five targets in a game.

Betting: Seattle has covered four straight road games, all coming by more than six points.

    Chicago Bears

Team: The Bears have lost nine straight this season with a rookie QB. If they lose their final two games, that will run their total to 11 straight — only twice in the 2000s has a team had a longer such streak in a single season (2017 Browns and 2001 Panthers)

QB: Caleb Williams has run for at least 27 yards in five of his past six games and has thrown for multiple scores in four of his past five (first 10 games: three multi-pass TD games)

Offense: The Bears averaged 39.4 yards of offense per drive on Sunday against the Lions, their second-highest rate of the season.

Defense: Chicago forced a punt on a season-low 10% of possessions last week against Detroit (three of their four lowest opponent punt rates have come since Week 11).

Fantasy: Williams has three games with 330+ passing yards and multiple passing scores – Andrew Luck is the only QB to have more such games as a rookie (four).

Betting: Overs are 8-4 in Chicago’s past 12 games played as an underdog on short rest

    – Julio Jones (WR, ATL) is still battling a hamstring injury and may be a game-time decision.

    Start/Sit Advice:
    – Start: Jalen Hurts (QB, PHI) has been a fantasy stud since taking over as the Eagles’ starting quarterback. He has a favorable matchup against Washington.
    – Start: David Montgomery (RB, CHI) has been on fire in recent weeks and faces a weak Green Bay run defense.
    – Sit: Antonio Gibson (RB, WAS) is dealing with a toe injury and may be limited against the Eagles.
    – Sit: Mike Evans (WR, TB) could see limited snaps as the Buccaneers have already clinched a playoff spot.

    Projections:
    – Patrick Mahomes (QB, KC) is projected to have a big game against the Chargers.
    – Derrick Henry (RB, TEN) is expected to have a monster performance against the Texans.
    – Stefon Diggs (WR, BUF) should have a solid outing against the Dolphins.

Fantasy playbook: NFL Week 17 scores, projections, matchups

Welcome to the Fantasy Football Playbook for Week 17, which kicks off Wednesday with a pair of Christmas Day games.

This column features score projections, Over/unders, win probabilities and, of course, easily digestible fantasy advice for seasonlong leagues and DFS. This guide should help you with all sorts of decision-making, including sit/start moves, last-minute waiver adds and lineup choices.

The advice is centered on 12-team PPR leagues with relatively standard scoring and lineup settings (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 flex, 1 K, 1 D/ST), although I’ll often mention “shallow” or “deep” leagues for some starters. The charts show all players who have been projected for at least 6.0 fantasy points this week, as well as all D/STs. “Matchup” is automatically determined using a proprietary metric that factors in raw and volume-adjusted fantasy points allowed to each position by the opposing defense this season.

(Editor’s note: Projections and rankings will align almost perfectly, but sometimes when a projection is close, a player might be ranked slightly higher or lower because of other factors, including upside or risk. This column is subject to updates during the weekend, although at the very minimum, rankings will be updated on the site and projections will always be updated inside the game leading up to kickoff.)

Week 17 of the NFL is upon us, and it’s crunch time for fantasy football owners. With playoffs on the line, every point matters. Here’s a rundown of the scores, projections, and matchups for this week:

    Scores:
    – Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Colts projected to win 28-14
    – Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions: Packers projected to win 35-21
    – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos: Chiefs projected to win 31-17
    – Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers: Rams projected to win 24-20
    – New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons: Saints projected to win 27-24

    Projections:
    – Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers (Packers) projected to have a big game with 300+ passing yards and 3 touchdowns
    – Running back: Derrick Henry (Titans) projected to rush for over 100 yards and score 2 touchdowns
    – Wide receiver: Davante Adams (Packers) projected to have a monster game with 150+ receiving yards and 2 touchdowns

    Matchups to watch:
    – Indianapolis Colts defense vs. Jacksonville Jaguars offense: The Colts defense has been dominant all season, while the Jaguars offense has struggled. This could be a lopsided matchup in favor of the Colts.
    – Kansas City Chiefs offense vs. Denver Broncos defense: The Chiefs offense, led by Patrick Mahomes, is one of the best in the league. But the Broncos defense has been solid all season. This will be a matchup to watch closely.

As we head into the final week of the regular season, every point matters. Make sure to set your lineups wisely and keep an eye on these key matchups. Good luck to all fantasy football owners in Week 17!

  • Tight ends for Week 17

    Tight ends for Week 17

Don’t look now but Okonkwo has 21 targets over his last two games. He caught 17 of those targets for 140 yards and scored 13.9 and 19.1 fantasy points, respectively, in those games. Those were both top seven fantasy TE finishes. Tennessee’s move to Mason Rudolph has clearly benefitted Okonkwo, who has been the QB’s top option. According to Fantasy Points Data, Okonkwo was the first read on 32 percent of the Titans’ dropbacks last week. On Sunday, he faces a Jaguars defense that has allowed the seventh-most yards and rank top 10 in fantasy PPG allowed to tight ends. For those of you who have been streaming tight ends, Okonkwo is a name for you this week.

As we head into the final week of the NFL regular season, it’s important to make sure your fantasy football lineup is set with the best tight ends available. Here are some top tight end options for Week 17:

    1. Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs) – Kelce has been a consistent force at the tight end position all season and should continue to put up big numbers in Week 17 against the Denver Broncos.

    2. George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers) – Kittle has been a reliable option for fantasy owners and has a favorable matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17.

    3. Mark Andrews (Baltimore Ravens) – Andrews has been one of the top tight ends in the league this season and faces a Cincinnati Bengals defense that has struggled against tight ends.

    4. Darren Waller (Las Vegas Raiders) – Waller has been a consistent producer for the Raiders and has a good matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.

    5. T.J. Hockenson (Detroit Lions) – Hockenson has been a bright spot for the Lions this season and should continue to see plenty of targets against the Green Bay Packers in Week 17.

Make sure to check injury reports and matchups before setting your lineup, but these tight ends should be solid options for Week 17. Good luck in your fantasy football matchups!

  • Chicago weather: A soggy Friday ahead to round out the week

Chicago weather: A soggy Friday ahead to round out the week

It was a mild Thursday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 40s.

Clouds, areas of fog, and patchy drizzle will linger through tonight with temperatures falling into the lower 40s.

A low pressure system will approach the area on Friday, bringing rain to the area during the day. Despite clouds and rain, temperatures will still warm nicely into the upper 40s. A few scattered showers may linger into Saturday.

The weekend looks mild with highs in the lower 50s on Saturday and mid 40s on Sunday. Saturday will be cloudy with a few stray showers possible. A better chance of rain will arrive on Saturday night into Sunday, mainly for the south suburbs and northwest Indiana.

We may finally get a glimpse of some sun on Monday, before more clouds roll in ahead of Tuesday’s storm system. Monday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 40s.

Tuesday will bring another chance of precipitation, mainly in the form of rain, but some wet snowflakes may mix in. Highs will be around 40.

Colder, more seasonable air is set to move into Chicagoland by the middle of next week. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 30s, and then we drop to the 20s for highs by Thursday.

    Weather ForecastChicagoNews

The forecast for Chicago this Friday is looking rather dreary, with rain showers expected throughout the day. As we round out the week, it seems Mother Nature has decided to give us a soggy send-off.

Don’t forget to grab your umbrella and rain boots before heading out the door, as the wet weather is likely to stick around for most of the day. Despite the gloomy conditions, it’s always important to stay prepared and dress accordingly to stay dry and comfortable.

Whether you have outdoor plans or just need to run errands, be sure to take it slow on the roads and stay safe in the rainy conditions. And if you’re looking to stay cozy indoors, it may be the perfect day to curl up with a good book or binge-watch your favorite TV show.

Whatever your plans may be, be sure to stay dry and make the most of this soggy Friday in Chicago. Stay safe and have a great weekend ahead!

Jordan Addison Week 16 Outlook for Fantasy Football (2024)

    Share:

    Link copied to clipboard!

5 days agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will square off against the Seattle Seahawks in a road matchup this Sunday. The 22-year-old will look to continue a stretch of strong performances against a beatable Seahawks defense. Since Week 11, the second-year wideout is the WR5 in PPR formats – racking up 30 receptions, 473 yards, and five touchdowns on 44 targets. He’s been the clear second option for quarterback Sam Darnold recently and even outperformed superstar teammate Justin Jefferson several times over that frame. Seattle has been stingy in the yardage department, but they’re in the league’s top half regarding fantasy points allowed per game to wideouts (33.4). Addison ranks as RotoBaller’s PPR WR26 ahead of this weekend’s slate of action.Alex Ciulla

Jordan Addison Week 16 Outlook for Fantasy Football (2024)

As we head into Week 16 of the fantasy football season, Jordan Addison continues to be a reliable option for fantasy managers. The talented wide receiver has been a consistent performer all season long, making him a valuable asset for fantasy teams.

In Week 16, Addison and the rest of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be taking on a tough opponent in the Baltimore Ravens. While the Ravens have a solid defense, Addison has shown time and time again that he can produce against even the toughest matchups.

With his speed, route-running ability, and sure hands, Addison is always a threat to put up big numbers. Fantasy managers can expect him to be targeted early and often in this crucial matchup.

If you have Jordan Addison on your fantasy team, feel confident starting him in Week 16. He has the potential to put up WR1 numbers and help lead your team to victory. Don’t hesitate to plug him into your lineup and watch him work his magic on the field.

  • Breaking Down Seattle Seahawks Playoff Scenarios Heading Into Week 17

Breaking Down Seattle Seahawks Playoff Scenarios Heading Into Week 17

After dropping a tough 27-24 contest to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks no longer control their own destiny and to win the NFC West, they will have to have several dominos fall their way beyond simply winning their final two games.

As their first order of business, Geno Smith and the Seahawks will have to travel to Chicago on the day after Christmas and defeat the Bears at Soldier Field. A loss or a tie on Thursday night would not eliminate them from playoff contention, but in that scenario, the Rams would lock up the division by beating the Cardinals on Sunday, making the upcoming rematch between the two teams in Week 18 a non-factor in deciding the NFC West.

But even if Seattle does beat Chicago on the road, however, that will not guarantee the season finale ends up being a winner-take-all battle at SoFi Stadium in the final week. If Los Angeles beats Arizona, they will improve to 4-1 in the NFC West, meaning the worst they can finish for the season is with a 4-2 record, which would tie Seattle after a loss in the season finale.

Along with being equal with that tiebreaker and splitting their head-to-head series, the Seahawks and Rams would both have identical 4-4 records against similar opponents and the same conference record, making strength of victory the next tiebreaker to determine who would win the division. Going into Week 17, Los Angeles holds a nine-game advantage in that category after being Buffalo and Minnesota earlier this year, meaning Seattle will need teams that it beat earlier in the season to step up and win games this weekend to keep them alive in the title race and close that gap.

Specifically, per an official memo from the NFL, the Seahawks will need four wins from Packers, Jets, Lions, Falcons, Broncos, or Dolphins out of six games this weekend to stay in the NFC West hunt if both they and the Rams win in Week 17. In other words, they would need a ton of help from other teams to ensure that the season finale becomes a division title game.

In a more simple pathway to the division title and a home playoff game, if the Seahawks and Rams both lose this weekend, the winner of their Week 18 rematch would be the NFC West winner no matter what else happens around the league.

Considering all of those scenarios and the possibility that the Seahawks may or may not be in contention anymore next week regardless of whether they beat the Bears or not, 12s better buckle up, as the next several days should be quite interesting with playoff races reaching the final stretch during the holiday season.

The Seattle Seahawks are heading into Week 17 with a lot on the line as they look to secure a spot in the playoffs. With several scenarios in play, let’s break down their potential paths to the postseason.

    1. Win and In: The simplest scenario for the Seahawks is to win their Week 17 matchup against their division rival, the Arizona Cardinals. A victory would secure a playoff spot for Seattle regardless of other outcomes.

    2. Wild Card Spot: If the Seahawks were to lose to the Cardinals, they could still clinch a wild card spot with some help from other teams. They would need the New Orleans Saints to lose to the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Rams to lose to the San Francisco 49ers.

    3. Division Title: Although it’s a long shot, the Seahawks could still win the NFC West if they beat the Cardinals and the Rams lose to the 49ers. This scenario would give Seattle the division title and a higher seed in the playoffs.

    4. Home Field Advantage: In order to secure a first-round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs, the Seahawks would need to win against the Cardinals, have the Green Bay Packers lose to the Detroit Lions, and have the New Orleans Saints lose to the Atlanta Falcons.

Heading into Week 17, the Seahawks have a lot at stake and will need to bring their A-game to secure a spot in the playoffs. Stay tuned to see how things unfold in this crucial matchup.
