Surprisingly, despite decades of experience, Dafoe says he doesn’t “give advice” as “everybody’s got to find their own way.”
The actor said up-and-coming stars should “just enjoy” their time in the industry.
Dafoe was then asked, “How do you want to be remembered?” to which he vaguely replied, “I don’t think about that.”
The Beetlejuice 2 star also confessed he didn’t know where he saw himself in five years, hilariously confessing: “I mean, I have a hard time thinking beyond tomorrow.”

The TikTok, created by the “Bleeker Street CEO” Khan, quickly amassed 8.9 million views, and thousands of viewers filled the comment section.
Many fans were shocked that the interviewer didn’t recognise the major Hollywood star, with one writing: “You don’t know who Willem Dafoe is? You gotta be kidding.”
“The fact that no young people know who Willem Dafoe is, is absolutely nuts. It’s like people not knowing who David Crosby is,” another added.
One person wrote, “Dude just asked the most recognisable man in the world who he was.”
Despite not being recognised on this occasion, Dafoe previously confessed that his “distinct face” means he is often noticed and remembered.

He told Sunday Today in 2023 that he became well-known after starring in the Spider-Man trilogy: “Some guys got on the train – and they’re sitting and they’re looking at me and they’re looking kind of rough and I think, ‘Oh God, even with my son here, they’re going to roll me for money or something. Something bad is going to happen.
“They were looking kind of mean and they were looking at each other, and then I heard one say, ‘Yeah, it’s gotta be him. Nobody looks like that m—–f——,’ “he continued.
“That’s when I knew [I was recognisable].”
