    Welcome to the Race Day Feed, coming to you from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. From practice reports to the blow-by-blow from tonight’s program, you’ll find it all right here on the Racer X Race Day Feed.     After four exciting 250SX West races to start the season and four different 250SX winners, today brings us our first 250SX East race—and a gaurentee different 250SX winner. But good luck guessing who it will be! With almost a dozen factory riders on the starting gates today, it is tough to say just who is the title favorite of this big group that features riders such as both 2024 250SX Champions—250SX West Champion RJ Hampshire and 250SX East Champion Tom Vialle—Pierce Brown, Max Anstie, Nate Thrasher, Daxton Bennick, Levi Kitchen, Cameron McAdoo, Seth Hammaker, Chance Hymas, Austin Forkner, and more. Some of these guys are banged up—most notable McAdoo, who confirmed he tore his ACL in his knee last week—but still, there are some seriously talented guys in this field. It is anyone’s guess as to who will finish inside the top five to start the 250SX East season off.

    In the 450SX Class, the big headline is Jett Lawrence’s ACL injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the supercross season. You hate to see anyone go out with an injury, especially the 450SX defending champion. Chase Sexton, last weekend’s overall winner in Arizona, comes into today’s fifth round as the championship leader, but Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, and Cooper Webb are all riding super well and ready to battle today at Raymond James Stadium. Don’t count out Webb, remember, back in 2023 this round was his first win of the season.

    And speaking off the stadium, we will have two sand sections in today’s layout, as well a right-hand first turn. Maybe Maximus Vohland will be able to take advantage of his rear-hand brake lever off the starts?! With the temperature high of 82° Fahrenheit, it will be by far the hottest race day so far this season. Things will cool off some come the night show and the main events. Luckily, it seems like we will avoid the rain we saw the last time the series raced here in 2023.

  • Live Written Updates and Results From 2025 Glendale Supercross


    This track is known for dry, slick desert conditions but during yesterday’s press day and this morning’s track walk it looked soft and tacky. That won’t last forever but it might be a little better than expected during the night show. This track features some long lanes and lots of 180 turns, which means the opportunity to go big in the rhythm lanes. 

    Garrett Marchbanks told us a week of therapy went a long way toward making his dislocated shoulder feel better, and he simply could not stomach sitting on the couch another weekend, so he asked the team if he could ride Thursday. He did and he felt good so he’s racing. He thinks the shorter races might actually be better for his shoulder, which could get fatigued as the laps unfold.

    Also Honda HRC Team Manager Lars Lindstrom says Jo Shimoda visited Doc G’s office all week and witnessed a big drop in the swelling in his broken fingers. He still can’t ride during the week, but the injury is feeling much better.

    Malcolm Stewart is getting better and better after taking a big hit in his Anaheim 1 heat race, he’s confident he’ll be around the top five soon. Aaron Plessinger has had terrible results the last two weeks but he says he feels he’s riding well, and in fact this week is as good as he as ever felt, he says. Cooper Webb spent the week testing at Yamaha’s California test track to try to find a better setup for dry, slick tracks. He knows he’s struggled here in the past but needs to fix that. He says this is the first time he’s made any real bike changes in nearly a year.

  • Live Written Updates and Results From 2025 Anaheim 2 Supercross


    In 250 free practice it was Jordon Smith fast early, then Cole Davies took over the top spot. Late in the session Haiden Deegan took over the top spot on the board with Smith and Michael Mosiman also in the hunt. Late in the session Smith struck back with another fast lap.

    It was Eli Tomac, Jett Lawrence and Jason Anderson as the top three early in free practice for 450s, Jett then did a quad in a rhythm the riders were working during yesterday’s press day. He jumped it and went to the top over Tomac, with Malcolm Stewart also showing speed.

    For 250 timed practice, Deegan controlled the early laps then Julien Beaumer took it back and Deegan responded on the last lap to regain the top spot. Mosiman also logged a heater on the last lap took third away from Smith, with Enzo Lopes fifth in his return to

    AMA Supercross! And rookie Drew Adams was sixth!

    Jo Shimoda 19th but we visited him in the Honda truck and he indicated he’s racing no matter what. As long as he can stay precise and avoid clipping or over jumping he thinks he will tough it out.

    But mistakes can happen and it showed in the next 450 session. Jorge Prado got it wrong in a rhythm section and crashed over a berm and into the net. He was attended to by the Alpinestars Medics and eventually got up…sporting a sling on his shoulder. That’s not a good sign for the MXGP World Champion.

    Eli Tomac was ripping early on top quickly, Jett Lawrence didn’t look sorted and was cruising, but where was Chase Sexton? He didn’t throw down a good time in free practice. He finally jumped up to second here, then Jett put in a  fast lap but it was a second off of Tomac, but still good enough for second overall.

    It looked like Tomac was gonna take it until the final lap when Lawrence threw down and took the top spot.

    As is often the case, the season opener last week in Anaheim left us with even more questions than we had last week coming into the season opener. How long will it be before Jett Lawrence, who fought setup last week and finished 12th, feels comfortable enough on his motorcycle to start winning races again? Will it be as soon as tonight? Or will Chase Sexton keep things rolling by going back to back? In the 250 Class things didn’t go the way everyone thought they would—title favorite Haiden Deegan crashed on the first lap and was forced to charge back to fifth from dead last, while Jo Shimoda and Julien Beaumer battled it out for the win. Will Deegan make it happen this weekend if he gets a good start? Hopefully we’ll get answers these questions, and more, tonight!

    The track here in San Diego looks great. The first impression of the dirt is that it’s tacky and a little soft, and it seems like the kind of dirt in which big ruts will start to develop. We’ll see if that plays out once bikes roll out for practice here shortly. It also looks extremely jumpy. The start stretch, which is about three-quarters of the entire length of the stadium, leads in to a small, five-jump rhythm section, which is followed by a 180-degree right hander and another rhythm, which has an option for a three-four line through it. The quad to jump out of it is pretty big, but word is Justin Hill was already doing it yesterday in press day. Speaking of Hill, we spoke with him on press day yesterday, and he seemed pretty positive about his riding and how the rest of the season might play out for him. He was also throwing huge whips and wheelieing down the start stretch, so it seems like he’s having fun. You can check out our conversation here.

    Elsewhere on the track there are multiple rhythm sections, and there’s an interesting sand section following a triple. There’s an outside line that can be railed, and there’s an inside line that has an elevated entrance, followed by a large dip. It’s going to be very interesting to see how the line develops through here

    Charli xcx‘s BRAT roll-out has been anything but ordinary. The critically acclaimed 2024 LP by the British pop star has received two special editions and millions of memes centered around lighthearted TikTok dances to controversial political tweets. Now Charli has revealed that her chaos was cultivated long before “BRAT Summer” took place.

    On her private Instagram account 360_brat, the artist shared images of a manifesto for the BRAT album written in the Summer of 2023. “The artwork for Brat will be obnoxious, arrogant, and bold. Some people will hate it.” “It will be heavily text-based, either font on a plain background or painted on a wall or disregarded object,” she said.

    The manifesto further reveals that the progressive marketing strategies behind BRAT were rooted in her original intentions. “This is Global. I will provide the momentum and tell the story in a laser focussed way. We must execute everything with power and confidence, she explained. Charli said in another slide, “There is no explanation for what I do. The answer is always ‘no comment’. We must cultivate desire, chaos, and destruction. The whole album campaign is high art.”

    Charli’s tone is reminiscent of the Pop Art philosophy of artist Andy Warhol, who was famous for his visual exploration of early celebrity and mass marketing. And it seems that her laser focus paid off, as BRAT racked up seven Grammy nominations including Album of the Year and Record of the Year, and later became 2024’s most critically acclaimed album, according to data from Metacritic.
