  • Chelsea Green Recalls Her Experience On WWE’s Tough Enough

Chelsea Green is enjoying her first-ever championship run in WWE as the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, but not too long ago she was scrambling her way to the top. Even before her first run with the promotion, she tried to make her way in through “Tough Enough.”

During an interview with “The Wrestling Classic,” Green looked back at her time in the gameshow.

“I did terribly,” Green recalled. “It only took me ten years to actually, like, get retribution, but we’re fine.”

The champion described what it was like going into “Tough Enough,” and how incredible her fellow competitors were, both in the ring and in their appearance. Green noted that she learned a lot during her time in “Tough Enough” and jokingly listed things like lip filler and Botox as some of the things the women taught her, which she claims Canadian women didn’t know.

“They had this like ‘je ne sais quoi’ about them, they were just, like, just so much more grown up in America,” said Green. “So, I learned a lot from that experience but I knew, I knew while I was in it — these girls are meant to be stars. So I wasn’t surprised when I left and a bunch of them got called back.”

The WWE star further noted that the experience opened her eyes to being an adult. Following her “Tough Enough” appearance, Green wrestled for the likes of TNA, Lucha Underground, and Ring of Honor, before being signed to WWE, where she has now truly made her mark.

WWE has entered 2025 with a huge wave of momentum, owning to the spectacular success they experienced in the last year. However, the company has always been planning for the long run, already having plans for the next year much before.
One of those plans will see one of the major events, WWE SummerSlam take place under a two-day format in 2026 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although the 2025 edition of WWE SummerSlam will also be a two-night show, the announcement of the 2026 show was made months prior and was the first major plan for WWE in that year. According to a new report by PWInsider, the highly popular Big 4 WWE event, Royal Rumble, will take place in Saudi Arabia in 2026. This comes as a surprising move by the company to host one of its most significant events outside its primary market, i.e., the. United States.

WWE has had a deep relationship with Saudi Arabia since 2018 when the company signed a 10-year deal with them to host major shows in their cities. The deal also saw them open WWE Experience, a world-class fan experiential zone in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Moreover, at the 2024 WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, the company crowned the first-ever WWE Crown Jewel Champions in the Men’s and Women’s divisions, Cody Rhodes and Liv Morga,n respectively.
In regards to the Royal Rumble, it was the very starting point of WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia. WWE hosted its very first Saudi show in 2018, titled ‘The Greatest Royal Rumble.’ It took place at theon April 27, 2018, at the King Abdullah Sports City’s King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event saw some of the top names like John Cena, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, Triple H and Brock Lesnar compete at the show. Moreover, the event was headlined by the first-ever 50 man over-the-tope-rope Rumble match, which was won by Braun Strowman.

  • Matt Hardy Recalls Backstage Altercation Between WWE’s Vince McMahon & Paul Heyman

Matt Hardy Recalls Backstage Altercation Between WWE’s Vince McMahon & Paul Heyman

Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman were on opposing ends in the wrestling industry during the ’90s, when Heyman ran his ECW promotion and was the second competitor to WWE behind WCW. While their rivalry was legitimate, the two men ultimately were on the same side when Heyman signed with WWE in 2001, becoming a renowned manager.

Things, though, weren’t rosy between the two wrestling promoters, according to former WWE star Matt Hardy. In his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, he claimed McMahon and Heyman once had a blowout backstage during ECW’s December to Dismember pay-per-view in 2006.

“We heard there was a big dust-up between Paul Heyman and Vince. And I guess, as the show was going on, there was big arguments and I guess the show, as it was going down, Vince wasn’t happy with it,” Hardy claimed. “There had always been a lot of tension between VKM and Paul Heyman, and I think a lot of that just comes from professional pride.”

He further suggested that McMahon sees himself as the greatest promoter while Heyman sees himself as a “breakthrough promoter” and that these two ideologies would naturally clash, especially during an infamous PPV, like December to Dismember

“I feel like there was probably a little, you know, personal pride in the matter as well, and then, you know, Vince, like, made him eat the bullet for the show not being good,” said Hardy.

Heyman eventually left WWE at the end of December 2006, but returned six years later and has played a prominent role on WWE television since.

In a recent interview, WWE legend Matt Hardy shared a story about a heated backstage altercation between WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and former ECW owner Paul Heyman.

Hardy revealed that tensions were running high between McMahon and Heyman during the early 2000s, as WWE was in the midst of a rivalry with Heyman’s ECW promotion. According to Hardy, the altercation took place at a backstage meeting where McMahon and Heyman were discussing business matters.

“Vince and Paul were going back and forth, arguing about something related to the business. The tension was palpable in the room,” Hardy recounted. “Things quickly escalated and before we knew it, Vince and Paul were standing nose to nose, shouting at each other.”

Hardy added that the situation became so intense that other wrestlers and staff members had to step in to defuse the situation before it escalated further. Despite their differences, both McMahon and Heyman were able to eventually resolve their issues and continue working together in the future.

“It was definitely a memorable moment backstage, that’s for sure. Both Vince and Paul are fiery personalities, so it’s not surprising that things got heated between them,” Hardy said.

The incident serves as a reminder of the high-pressure environment that exists behind the scenes in the world of professional wrestling, where egos and strong personalities often clash. Hardy’s firsthand account sheds light on the complex dynamics that can exist between top wrestling executives, even when they are working towards a common goal.

  • WWE’s Michin Explains Current State Of The OC, Reveals Their Role In Her New Ring Name

WWE’s Michin Explains Current State Of The OC, Reveals Their Role In Her New Ring Name

Before going solo and challenging for the newly minted WWE Women’s United States Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Michin was the lone woman in The OC faction. Formerly known as Mia Yim, Michin opened up about her bond with the group and her unique new moniker during an appearance on “Casual Conversations With the Classic.”

“It feels like a situationship, like a complicated situationship that I don’t even know what’s happening because AJ is on the dark side. But I still have so much love for him, like that’s my Uncle Al right there. I told him I might accidentally slip up and call you Oppa, which in Korean, that means like big brother, like that’s my Oppa. And Luke [Gallows] and Karl [Anderson], even though they’re with AJ on the dark side, I’m like, regardless of what they do I will always support them. I will always love them.”

Turning her focus to her current ring name, Michin revealed that it was inspired by both her childhood and The OC’s established traditions.

“The OC … when they wrestled in Japan they had their own nicknames and stuff. So when I came back and I joined them, they’re like, you need a nickname, like that’s just part of the crew, like you need one. So Michin is something that I’ve had since I was a kid from my mom, like she would call me and my sister crazy.”

The nickname, which translates to “crazy” in Korean, perfectly complements Michin’s bold, no-holds-barred attitude on screen. As far as the leader of The OC, AJ Styles remains on the shelf after injuring his foot during a match with Carmelo Hayes in October. Anderson, meanwhile, is expected to be out until after WWE WrestleMania 41 with an arm injury.
