The high school basketball season rolls on with more great action on Thursday night. Roselle Catholic rallies against Westfield on Naz Reid Night, plus Central Regional goes for its seventh-straight win in a divisional battle with Donovan Catholic. Tyrease Hunter scored all 24 of his points in the second half as the Lions rallied from a 14 point halftime deficit to score a win on the night they retired Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid’s jersey at halftime.  Westfield raced out to an 18-5 lead at the end of one and led 34-20 at the half.  Hunter scored 16 in the third to get RC within two heading into the fourth.  Trevon Lewis added 18 for the Lions (10-3) while Westfield was paced by Tyshawn Pearson’s 12 points.

The Golden Eagles turned in a fantastic defensive performance as they cruised past the Griffins for their seventh-straight victory and moved one step closer to clinching the Shore Conference “A” South division title. Jaycen Santucci and Jayson King paced Central as they both finished with a game-high 14 points. Royalty Riley added ten points in the win for Central Regional (11-1). Ryan Jacobs went for a team-high 11 points in the loss for Donovan Catholic (5-7).
