Teddy Bridgewater to be Lions’ emergency QB; here are the inactives

Santa Clara, Calif. — The Detroit Lions didn’t have any surprise names pop up on the inactives report prior to taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football in Santa Clara.

Aside from running back David Montgomery (knee), the Lions didn’t have an ailing player listed on the pregame inactives report. Backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was made inactive but will serve as the team’s emergency quarterback, meaning Hendon Hooker will be in line to enter the game if Lions starter Jared Goff is forced to exit the game.

Teddy Bridgewater is the emergency third quarterback for the Lions' matchup against San Francisco.

The 49ers will be without cornerback Charvarius Ward and linebacker Dre Greenlaw for the primetime showdown.

Also inactive for Detroit: Offensive linemen Giovanni Manu, Kayode Awosika and Colby Sorsdal and defensive linemen Jonah Williams and Brodric Martin. The Lions will have cornerback Emmanuel Moseley in the lineup for the second game in a row.
