BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Thousands of Entergy and other utility customers across the state of Louisiana are out of power as a rare winter snowstorm impacts the area.
Statewide, Entergy is reporting 2,383 outages as of 1:30pm on Tuesday 1/21/25.
So far Ascension has the most outages in our area, 192 customers followed by Iberville, East Baton Rouge and Assumption Parishes.
Demco reported hundreds out outages this morning but has since restored them. The majority of the outages were in St. Helena Parish.
This evening, dangerously cold temperatures will impact the area.
Locally, officials have implemented curfews in many areas and want you to stay off the roads unless you are trying to get to a warming shelter or a home with heat.
