Just one more day until the Daytona 500 (as long as the weather cooperates; it’s already had its time changed). Until then, we’ve got two races today, capped by the NASCAR Xfinity Series, which already had its qualifying delayed by rain.
The ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR’s second-tier stock car event usually both run Saturday at Daytona International Speedway. But rain last year pushed the Daytona ARCA 200 up to Friday and the United Rentals 300 to Monday night after the delayed Daytona 500.
Once the race finally finished, Austin Hill walked away with his third straight checkered flag at the Daytona 500 Xfinity race. Justin Allgaier will look to begin his series championship defense with a victory. And no, Frankie Muniz isn’t racing this year: “Agent Cody Banks” took part in the Truck Series race.
