Today viewers gush over Jenna Bush Hager’s new cohosts as fans praise show for ‘diverse’ lineup

Today viewers have praised Jenna & Friends for offering up a ‘diverse’ range of cohosts following Hoda Kotb‘s departure earlier this month. 

Hoda, 60, bid farewell to Today and her fourth hour cohost Jenna Bush Hager on January 10, and the morning show has now been renamed Today with Jenna & Friends. 

So far, Jenna has been joined by the likes of Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Keke Palmer, and Michelle Buteau.

On Monday, the program’s official Instagram account confirmed the new hosting lineup for this week – featuring Kelsea Ballerini, Kimberly Schlapman, Ciara and Wynonna Judd – and fans were quick to share their excitement.

‘Yeah, cannot wait!! I have been watching ever since the debut!!’ one person commented on the post.

Another said: ‘Can’t wait. Your team is really putting together some phenomenal women. I love it.’

A third viewer wrote: ‘Love that you’re keeping it diverse in culture, ages and interests. That’s the best part of the Today Shows. It speaks to a broad audience.’

And a fourth person added: ”What a fun lineup! I like your choices!’

Fans were particularly excited to learn that singer Wynonna Judd will be sitting alongside mother-of-three Jenna this week.

‘Can’t wait to watch Wynonna!’ one person said, while another agreed: ‘Wynonna yeah baby!!!!’ 

‘Can’t wait for Wynonna!! She’ll be an awesome co-host!!’ a third viewer predicted. 

A fourth commented: ‘Looking forward to Wynonna!!!’ and a fifth added: ‘Wow… Great line up… What day is Wynonna on?’ 

Another person appeared to the answer the question and said: ‘I’m watching on the 30th when Wynonna will be on there! Can’t wait!’

Jenna hosted the show alongside Little Big Town singer Kimberly Schlapman on Monday and Tuesday, and she’ll also be joined by music stars Ciara and Kelsea Ballerini this week too.

The latest lineup comes after many fans of the show called for Black Widow actress Scarlett to become Jenna’s permanent cohost.

Scarlett, 40, joined Jenna on the show last week from January 21 until January 24 and some viewers claimed she ‘upstaged’ the former first daughter.

Viewers simply couldn’t get enough of Scarlett and showered her with praise following the program – while also applauding her and Jenna’s undeniable on-screen chemistry.

Commenting on the show’s official Instagram page, one said: ‘This gotta be the best show without Hoda [Kotb] man, you and Scarlett Johansson have amazing chemistry.’

‘Scarlet got the assignment!!! Best show ever!!!’ added another.

‘Scarlett was so good!!! She did upstage Jenna though,’ a third wrote.

‘I love this combination of women today!’ said another, while a fifth agreed, ‘Fabulous duo… great chemistry.’

And some viewers clearly want there to be a permanent cohost as one person commented this week: ‘Jenna, I hope they pick someone soon, I feel like it’s a dating game, and I am getting exhausted for you.’
