Track & Field Signs Five New Wildcats

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track & Field has added five new Wildcats to its 2025 class in the first couple months after National Signing Day.
 
Three of the newcomers will make their Wildcat debuts this indoor and outdoor season, and two will join the team next year. Thus far, the team has added one high jumper, one hurdler, one distance runner, and two mid-distance runners. The Wildcats added talent from across the world, with two signees coming from Serbia, one from Mexico, one from Indiana, and one from Arizona.

 
Kya Crooke
High Jump / Fishers, Ind. / Heritage Christian High School
High School: Attends Heritage Christian High School in Fishers, Ind. … 2023 USA U20 Champion in the high jump as a fifteen-year-old… Indiana State Champion in the high jump and a finalist in both the long jump and 4x100m relay… Has posted top marks in Indiana in the 100m (11.46), high jump (1.80m five times), and long jump (6.02m)… Ranks 15th in the world in the high jump for U18… Chose between Arizona, Kentucky, Arkansas, LSU, and Cincinnati… Sought after recruit that Coach Myers believes will contribute right away at Arizona as one of the most talented high school recruits in a number of years.
 
Personal: From Fishers, Ind. … Daughter of Julie and Denzil… Her mother was a high-level soccer player and high jumper, and her father is from St. Kitts and coaches her at Soca Speed Track Club… Has one brother and one sister, Kenzie, who also competes in track & field.

Fr. / Mid-Distance / Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico / Colegio Regis La Salle
High School: Attended Colegio Regis La Salle in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico… Competed in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m… 4x Region “A” in the 800m… 4x State Champion in the 800m and 1500m… Finished second in the 800m at the U23 National Championships and third in the 4x400m… Placed third in the National Championship cross country 2k relax mix… Posted the third best Mexican 800m performance in 2024… Finished first place in the state and region in the 4x400m… Will compete this season for the Wildcats.
 
Personal: From Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico… Son of Denis and Tomas… Has one sister, Sofia… Played soccer in elementary and secondary school… Pursuing a degree in Microbiology with aspirations of being a doctor… Enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games, watching movies, and reading in his free time… Chose Arizona because of the team bonding, teammates, staff, coaches, academics, and facilities.

 
Amelia North
Distance / Tucson, Ariz. / University High School
High School: Attended University High School in Tucson, Ariz. … Four-year letterwinner in both track & field and cross country… 3x First Team All-Region (Arizona Southwest)… First Team All-State her senior year… 2024 All Sports Runner of the Year and All Sports D1 Runner of the Year… Rincon University MVP in 2024… 2x Jet Sports Athlete of the Month… AZ Central Athlete of the Week in October… School record holder in the 5k (17:44).
 
Personal: Born in Tucson, Ariz. … Daughter of Sheli and Travis… Has three sisters, Alyssa, Ashli, and Annasten… Her grandfather, Daniel, wrestled at the University of Arizona… Her second cousin is Blake Martinez, who played football for Stanford and in the NFL… Pursuing a degree in Physiology and Medical Science with an emphasis in Exercise and Extreme Physiology… Has aspirations of being a physical therapist… Enjoys spending time with family, hiking, being outdoors, and trying new coffee shops in her free time… Chose Arizona because of the coaches, team, and support that made her feel at home immediately.

 
Dunja Sikima
Fr. / Mid-Distance / Zrenjanin, Serbia / Zrenjaninska Gimnazija
High School: Attended Zrenjaninska Gimnazija in Zrenjanin, Serbia… Has clocked personal best times of 2:08.09 in the 800m and 57.43 in the 400m… 2023 National Champion in the 800m and 2021 National Champion in the 1500m… 2x National Indoor Champion in the 1500m in 2021 and 2022… In 2024, competed in the 800m at the Serbian Championships, Serbian U20 Championships, and World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru… Will compete this season for the Wildcats.
 
Personal: From Zrenjanin, Serbia.

 
Bogdan Vidojkovic
Fr. / Hurdles / Belgrade, Serbia / Elektrotehnicka Škola “Nikola Tesla” (High School of Electrical Engineering)
High School: Attended Elektrotehnicka Škola “Nikola Tesla” (High School of Electrical Engineering) in Belgrade, Serbia… Participated in track & field for all four years of high school in the 110m hurdles, 100m, and 200m… Serbian National Champion in the 60m hurdles and 110m hurdles… Serbian National U20 Record Holder in the 110m hurdles (13.69)… 2022 U20 World Championships finalist in Cali, Colombia… Was a member of the Serbian team that won championships in the junior and senior categories… Will compete this season for the Wildcats.
 
Personal: Born in Belgrade, Serbia… Son of Miodrag and Jelena… Has one sister, Maja… Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering… Enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with friends… Chose Arizona because of the school and their great environment for his future development.
