SEEKONK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Seekonk Police Department was urging drivers to avoid the area of Fall River Avenue near Route 195 due to a large gas leak, but both roads are now open to all traffic.
According to Seekonk police, the leak originated from the demolition site of the Clarion Inn at 940 Fall River Ave.
Route 114A and a part of I-195 had to be shut down for a period of time, both of which are expected to be open by approximately 10:30 a.m.
Eversource Gas arrived at the scene and situation appears to be under control.
