Good mount, but center point is not in the center when fully collapsed
This isn't a bad review, more of a heads up. Mount is great, but if you want it to be centered like I did between my 2 windows as seen in the photo, you'll need to mount it off center. I wanted it closest to the wall, but the ability to move it up and down for the most part and why I got the height adjustable model. I dont really need it to love out towards the wall, if anything an inch or two. Mount seems very sturdy and well made. You'll just need to mount the base to the wall approximately 6" one way or the other if you want it centered when it's closest to the wall. You basically want the center of the part that mounts to the tv in the middle of where you want it if this is your scenario. Hope this helps!

    I needed a simple clean looking articulation wall mount for my 43” Sony LED TV. There were so many to choose from and after a couple of days doing comparisons, I settled on this one. One arm with 180° rotation. And an arm length so that it could be extended and turned 90°, because the plan was to install this at the foot of my bed, which is up against the wall. First, this met my needs and more. Second, it took me all of 20 minutes from opening the box to tightening down the last nut securing the TV. Third, it is very well designed and built. I can easily move the tv vertically with one hand to change the height. It has the perfect amount of tilt. And when the tv is pushed back against the wall, there is minimum space behind and the tv sit flush with the wall. I will be purchasing another one to install my other tv across my room for my computers.

    Really nice mount but minor issues

    It is a fantastic TV mount. Use it for front of treadmill.
    The mount is heavy-duty and very strong. Thus, the difficulty with mounting because it is heavy/awkward, the wall side mount does not remove so you have to hold up the entire mount while trying to keep it plumb and mark the holes correctly. This was quite difficult.
    Finally, once installed, could not get the arm to maneuver down. Had to use the online chat operator who did help clarify some things.
    The best position of the arm is where the TV and arm is level (not up or down). This way, you have room to adjust up and down afterwards. When the arm is positioned up (almost permanently), it is hard to estimate where that middle position is. So had to do a lot of thinking, planning and calculating.
    Once it was mounted to the wall and TV placed onto the mount, I could not get the arm to move down. Took a LONG time and many, many turns of the screw before the internal gas cylinder released, causing the TV to nearly fall down. Then, you re-tighten the screw gradually until you get the correct tension of the arms to hold the TV steady in position. Now, I simply love the mount, but installation by myself was quite difficulty. Instructions did not help much.

    Worked with my Odyssey G9!

    I went off of a recommendation I saw on reddit. I mounted this to a dry wall stud, the mount was super secure in there. The mount extensions weren’t necessarily for the visa mount. The attachment mechanism was very sound, it hooks onto 2 bolts via gravity and a third bolt under the mount to seal the deal.

    The gas pump is super strong, can easily hold huge TV’s and it held the Odyssey G9 just fine, with it being around 33 lbs.

    One thing was the tilt sagging, that is normally an issue with mounts and I can say that the center of gravity for the monitor was a liiiitle too much for the tension on the tilt swivel for this mount. I tried tightening it, but it didn’t seem to work that well. You can probably tighten it just perfectly, but in the end we just stuck a bolt through the hole where the tilt sags. And the monitor is now perfectly straight, and we can move it around.

    This review is for the VIVO Premium Aluminum Single TV Wall Mount purchased in May 2024 for $49.99.

    Decided to purchase a more expensive TV wall mount in the hopes of getting a better quality product. Boy, was I disappointed. To start off with the good, the VIVO is constructed well and feels substantial. The gas shock arm works extremely well lowering/raising the TV with little effort (you will need to adjust the tension with a hex wrench depending on the weight of your TV). This is where the positives end.

    The installation instructions and video are confusing and it's difficult to ascertain which directions the arms and backplate should be oriented. A simple 1 minute video would have solved this but instead I struggled for 10 minutes trying to figure out the correct orientation.

    Once everything was assembled, I quickly realized that even though the VIVO is touted as a premium product, there is no real way of adjusting the pitch and level of the TV other than to constantly loosen and tighten the control screws. This is unlike high quality monitor arms that allow these adjustments by simply moving the articulating arm. I could adjust the tilt and level but as soon as I moved the control arm the TV would be off kilter again. You better ensure to install the mount dead plumb/straight on the wall otherwise your TV will not be level. Absolutely no mercy. Really frustrating. I could never get the TV perfectly level which made viewing (as an OCD) extremely irritating.

    I'd like to return this product but I've already drilled three large screw holes in my wall. My advice is save your money and buy the Amazon Basics wall mount for $32 unless raising/lowering the TV is of paramount importance to you. I'm now stuck watching a TV that's crooked and it's driving me crazy. LOL.
