It’s one of the most notorious, long-enduring real-life mysteries out there: the tale of skyjacker DB Cooper. Recently, people claiming to be Cooper’s family said they have new evidence related to the case.
However, the Cooper case was closed in 2016 after a decades-long investigation, and other researchers aren’t convinced that the new evidence is evidence at all. This week on “Something Offbeat” host Mike Rogers was joined by researcher Eric Ulis to dig into the case.
“I’ve done an enormous amount of research and I really started with reading the FBI files,” he said. “We’ve got some 40,000 pages of FBI files that have been released through the Freedom of Information Act, which has been terrific because it’s given me the opportunity to follow the case that the FBI executed from the very beginning, to see what they did.”
