Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse Orange basketball team, with a week of rest, wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule against the Bucknell Bison on Saturday afternoon in the JMA Wireless Dome.

Syracuse is coming off a 87-60 loss to Maryland, its largest margin of defeat on the season.

The Orange was run out of Barclays Center last week, hampered by a dire situation at guard in which the team has one trusted ball-handler with junior JJ Starling sidelined with a left hand injury.

Syracuse coach Adrian Autry vowed changes were coming after the lopsided loss, though the second-year coach did not specify what that meant.

It could be a shakeup of the starting five, a shorter bench, a strategic shift to fix the team’s defensive struggles or something else.

Regardless, Syracuse (5-6, 0-1 ACC) has done nothing in the non-conference schedule to suggest it can rally to put together an NCAA Tournament-worthy resume in ACC play.

Bucknell, of the Patriot League, is the final non-con tune-up before the Orange embarks on uninterrupted ACC play beginning New Year’s Eve against Wake Forest.
