‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans Think Vanna White Said NSFW Word

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

A slip of the tongue on Wheel of Fortune has fans replaying a clip to determine if Vanna White just dropped the F-bomb on TV.

During the Wednesday, January 22 episode of the game show, as part of their Winter Wonderland Week, host Ryan Seacrest and White, 67, appeared in a segment where they were skiing in Park City, Utah. While Seacrest, 50, tumbled down the slope off-camera, White’s reaction caused a stir.

Many viewers believe that White’s response to the fall sounded suspiciously like a four-letter expletive and debated about it on the Wheel Reddit forum.

“I swear she says the F word!” one fan commented, while another agreed, “That’s what I thought she said too!”

A third corrected, “She said ‘Look,’not the F word,” while a fourth confirmed via subtitles, “She said ‘Look’. At least that’s what the closed captioning said.”

Despite some viewers pointing out that closed captions indicated White said “look,” others were unconvinced, continuing to speculate about what was really said. “I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she said duck, lol, NOPE!” another fan added.

This isn’t Seacrest’s first tumble on Wheel this week. The TV personality lost his footing on the Tuesday, January 21 episode— though this time, it was thanks to a contestant’s excitement. Pittsburgh native Daniel Thomas made it to the bonus round and, after correctly solving a puzzle, hugged Seacrest so enthusiastically that he toppled the host onto the floor. The audience laughed as Seacrest quickly got to his feet, assuring Thomas, “No, I’m good! I’m good!”

While the audience was clearly entertained by the unexpected mishap, Seacrest was all smiles, telling Thomas, “Don’t worry — I loved it!” The excited contestant went on to win $71,950, but not before accidentally taking down Seacrest with his celebratory hug.

In a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune, fans were left shocked and confused when longtime co-host Vanna White appeared to say a NSFW word while turning a letter on the iconic game show’s famous puzzle board.

Viewers took to social media to express their disbelief, with many speculating on what they believed they heard White say. Some fans even went as far as to rewind and replay the moment in question, trying to decipher if it was a genuine slip of the tongue or just a misunderstanding.

Despite the controversy, White has yet to address the incident publicly. However, Wheel of Fortune producers have assured fans that there was no foul language used during the taping of the episode and that any perceived slip-up was simply a case of mishearing.

Whether or not Vanna White actually said a NSFW word remains a topic of debate among Wheel of Fortune fans, but one thing is for sure – this unexpected moment has certainly added some excitement to an already thrilling game show!
