Long, whose real name is Priscilla Renea Hamilton, won Best R&B Performance at the 2023 Grammys for her song “Hrs & Hrs.” This will be her second time nominated at music’s biggest night.
Long had a big year with her single “Made for Me” from her album “Revenge.” The song became a viral TikTok audio, sparking a video trend on the social media platform that saw participation from celebrities, influencers and regular users.
“When you go viral on TikTok, there’s this stigma there (suggesting) the impact isn’t real, or it’s just kind of fly by night,” Long told USA Today. “So to get the recognition from my peers that, like, ‘No, actually, it’s legit. We actually really like what she’s doing, and we love that she’s bringing R&B back.’ It’s really affirming for me.”
When are the Grammys?
Trevor Noah will return to host the 2025 Grammys, which will air live on CBS from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 2.
The awards ceremony will raise money for wildfire relief and “honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” according to a CBS release shared with USA Today.
