When does season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’ premiere?

The highly-anticipated next chapter of HBO’s anthology series “The White Lotus” is almost here.

Season 3 of “The White Lotus” premieres on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. EST and consists of eight episodes. The finale will air on Sunday, April 6.

Like the past two installments, season 3 will take place at the fictional hotel chain The White Lotus. After setting seasons 1 and 2 in Hawaii and Sicily, respectively, “The White Lotus” creator Mike White wanted season 3 to take place in Asia.

“The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” White explained during a December 2022 interview with Variety. “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.”

White ultimately settled on Thailand as the backdrop for season 3 of “The White Lotus.” The cast is comprised of all new faces, save for season 1 alum Natasha Rothwell, who will reprise her role as Belinda.

Viewers last saw Belinda working as a spa manager at White Lotus Maui — and getting her hopes of opening her own spa dashed by Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge). But in season 3, she’s a guest.

“She’s in Thailand doing sort of an exchange program to learn more about the wellness programs that the Thailand White Lotus offers,” Rothwell said during a December 2024 interview with Entertainment Weekly. “She’s going to be a guest for the first time, even though she’s taking classes and it’s a work trip. She’s staying at the hotel, which is something that she hasn’t done before, and so we get to see her really dip her toe in the other side of life.”

In addition to Rothwell, the season 3 ensemble cast includes Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Lek Patravadi, Tayme Thapthimthong, Blackpink’s Lisa, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola and Patrick Schwarzenegger

A trailer for the season shows free-spirited Chelsea (Wood) telling her older boyfriend Rick (Goggins) that he needs “stress management meditation” and Jaclyn’s (Monaghan) friends and travel companions judging her lifestyle.

“She literally lives off male attention,” Laurie (Coon) tells Kate (Bibb) of Jaclyn behind her back. “It’s pathetic.”

If the first two installments are any indicator, season 3 of “The White Lotus” will be packed with drama, deceit, entitlement, and intrigue.

“I really do think that this season is magic,” Rothwell told EW last month. “That’s the only word.”

White, meanwhile, teased that season 3 will be “longer, bigger, [and] crazier” than past iterations of the show.

“It’s going to be a supersized ‘White Lotus,’” he told Variety in November 2023. ” I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing. … I’m super excited about the content of the season.”
