Which guards are available tonight vs. 76ers?
The 2024-25 season opened for the Milwaukee Bucks in Philadelphia on Oct. 23 at Wells Fargo Arena, an evening that began with expectation and promise of what could be with two organizations that had made expensive gambits to contend for a title.
The teams meet again tonight at Fiserv Forum, 12 ½ weeks later, and the Bucks are perhaps beginning to reach that promise while the 76ers never were able to grasp any part of it due to injuries to Joel Embiid, Paul Geroge and Tyrese Maxey.
After beating the short-handed 76ers that night, the Bucks lost six straight and eventually dropped to 2-8. It took Milwaukee a month to get to .500. Now, they have won six of their last seven games and three in a row and are 23-17.
Philadelphia began 3-14 and have gotten to the bottom edge of the Eastern Conference play-in picture at 15-25, but Embiid has played just 13 games while George has played 27 and is currently managing groin tightness.
The Bucks have a chance to finish their current homestand 4-0 before heading to New Orleans on Wednesday.

Is Giannis playing?
Yes. The MVP candidate and league’s second-leading scorer has been managing pain in his right knee since training camp but has yet to miss a game with that issue.
What happened to Joel Embiid?
Embiid didn’t make his debut until Nov. 12 and played three straight games from Nov. 15-20 before being sidelined until early December. He played in nine of the 76ers next 12 games but has been out since Jan. 6 first with a foot injury and most recently a recurrence of swelling in his left knee.
He previously missed games due to soreness in that knee, a sinus fracture and a suspension for a locker room altercation with a reporter.
What time is the Bucks game?
It’s an earlier tip-off tonight, with the game scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CT.
