Jeff’s King of the End Zone Picks for Sunday, January 19: Puka Nacua and Rashod Bateman
I’m rolling with a pair of bonafide big-play receivers on Sunday’s slate.
Rashod Bateman has quietly been finding the end zone at an unreal rate down the stretch, scoring in five of Baltimore’s last six contests. With Zay Flowers likely out — or at the very least really banged up — Bateman should continue to serve as Lamar Jackson’s No. 1 receiver. That’s a role that will get him plenty of deep ball opportunities.
Not much needs to be said about Nacua, who has been banged up quite a bit this year but has been stellar when available. The star wideout will certainly be looking to contribute at a higher level than his performance against the Vikings, in which he only grabbed five receptions for 44 yards. Matthew Stafford should get his top option involved early and often against the Eagles.
