The newly installed walls of the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean lounge at Magic Kingdom have received a fresh coat of paint.

Construction walls remain up inside and outside Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop in Adventureland.
Over the construction walls, the new exterior walls for the lounge have been painted with a texturized stone look.
The same texturing can be seen here, along with some plastic coverings and painter’s tape around the ceiling beam.

Steel frames first went up for the walls in mid-November, followed by sheathing and later concrete in December.
The new Pirates of the Caribbean lounge will occupy the space of the former transformation experience The Pirates League, which permanently closed in 2020. Despite its closure, the sign for the defunct experience remains outside Pirates of the Caribbean.
Recently, Disney announced a late 2025 opening for the new lounge, which will expand the lore of Pirates of the Caribbean and reintroduce Peg-Leg Pete, a.k.a. the Barker Bird. New concept art of the space was released in November 2024.
Disney Parks Blog described the new space as a place where “…bandits and buccaneers-to-be from every corner of the seven seas are welcome to join together and raise a toast to the pirate life!”
