  • ‘Trust me, it’s a risk’… Alex Pereira’s decision to corner Sean Strickland at UFC 312 slammed by former double champ

Ahead of Sean Strickland’s title rematch against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312, he has drafted in the assistance of current light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira.

Despite Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira being former opponents of each other, the two became good friends and now consistently train together.

‘Tarzan’ is scheduled to rematch the middleweight champion, Dricus Du Plessis in the UFC 312 main event on February 8, in what is one of the biggest rivalries in recent years.

Ahead of their scheduled fight, both fighters have continuously traded blows with each other online, which started with Strickland offering a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ pact for their fight to only be striking.

Daniel Cormier questions Pereira’s decision to corner Strickland at UFC 312

With Strickland having controversially earned a rematch with ‘Stillknocks’ despite having only picked up a win over Paulo Costa since their last fight, he is hoping to re-write the wrongs of his last fight.

And in hoping to do that, he has drafted in the help of ‘Poatan’, who will be part of his corner team in Sydney, Australia.

Despite the 37-year-old champion agreeing to help his teammate, his decision has been questioned by former UFC double champion turned commentator, Daniel Cormier.

‘DC’ has questioned whether it is sensible for the Brazilian to travel all the way across the world to sit in Strickland’s corner when he should be preparing for his own title fight.

At UFC 313 on March 8, Pereira will defend his 205lb title against his most difficult test to date in number one contender, Magomed Ankalaev.

With his fight against the soaring Russian so close to UFC 312, Cormier believes Pereira is making a ‘dangerous’ decision that he could come to regret.

“What we do know is that Alex Pereira is going to be fighting a guy that could be his most formidable opponent because of the style,” Cormier began to explain on his YouTube channel.

“But we also have to take into effect that his relationship with Strickland is so strong that he’s willing to travel across the world to corner him. To me, it seems dangerous.

“It seems risky for Alex to go all the way to Australia knowing everything that goes into a training camp and how hard that travel can be on your body when you’re preparing to continue to defend your world championship.

“So how strong is that bond? How much does Sean Strickland now mean to Alex Pereira for him to take that risk? Because trust me, it’s a risk,” he continued.

Alex Pereira continues to tease a move up to heavyweight

Prior to the UFC booking his title defense against Ankalaev, ‘Poatan’ continuously hinted at potentially moving up to heavyweight to take on Jon Jones in a superfight.

Although interim champion, Tom Aspinall is still confident a title unification fight can be made, Pereira wants to shake things up by fighting ‘Bones’ himself.

If Jones does stick around to fight Aspinall, despite having admitted that he isn’t keen on the idea and will likely retire instead, Pereira will be keeping a close eye on that as he will potentially face the winner.

Former double champ Alex Pereira’s decision to corner Sean Strickland at UFC 312 has raised eyebrows among fans and fellow fighters alike.

Pereira, known for his knockout power and striking prowess, has made a name for himself in the MMA world. However, his decision to corner Strickland, a potential future opponent, has left many questioning his motives.

While some believe Pereira’s move is a strategic one, others see it as a risky gamble that could backfire. With tensions already running high between the two fighters, Pereira’s presence in Strickland’s corner could potentially add fuel to the fire.

Only time will tell if Pereira’s decision will pay off or if it will end up being a costly mistake. One thing is for sure, though – in the world of MMA, trust is hard to come by, and sometimes, taking a risk is the only way to get ahead.

  • Trump foe Letitia James slammed for post-NYC ICE raid comments

As President Donald Trump’s federal raids ramp up across the United States, New York Attorney General Letitia James’ pushback against his illegal immigration strategy has been slammed for not prioritizing public safety.

One longtime New York City police officer said the state’s politicians need to “get on the same page” after James’ comments in the wake of Tuesday’s raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agents.

“My office is aware of the increased presence of ICE across New York City. I am monitoring the situation to ensure our laws are being respected and people’s rights are not being violated,” James wrote in a post on X Tuesday.

Along with her post, she attached guidance that emphasizes the rights of illegal migrants and federal, state and local laws that the state’s law enforcement agencies must adhere to.

One example is that local law enforcement agencies in New York are “not ordinarily permitted to detain people at the request of federal civil immigration authorities alone without a judicial warrant.”

James’ statement came after newly confirmed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem descended on the country’s largest sanctuary city early Tuesday for the arrests of illegal immigrants wanted for violent crimes.

“7 AM in NYC. Getting the dirtbags off the streets,” Noem posted on X.

Several hours after the raid, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement that the city “will not hesitate to partner with federal authorities to bring violent criminals to justice — just as we have done for years.”

The Democratic mayor said he “directed the NYPD to coordinate with DHS’ Homeland Security Investigations and other federal law enforcement agencies — as allowed by law — to conduct a targeted operation.”

NYPD Sgt. Joseph Imperatrice, the founder of Blue Lives Matter NYC, told Fox News Digital that the attorney general should prioritize her constituents’ safety over making political statements.

The number one goal of any person in office is the safety of their constituents. And I believe that, across the board, our politicians need to get on the same page, work together, understand each other and why we’re doing what we’re doing,” he said.

“We cannot have people coming into our country committing violent felonies and then speaking out about it when it could have been prevented,” he said. “This can all be prevented. The second you break our rules or commit a violent felony or any type of felony, your rights should be rescinded. And that’s where we all need to get on the same page to work for a safer America and a safer New York City.”

Local law enforcement, Imperatrice said, want to serve their communities and “come together” to make America safer.

“We need to listen to the communities we serve since they’re the ones that pay our taxes to be able to pay for the salaries of our first responders, and they’re the ones that vote for our politicians. Their voices need to be heard,” he said. “As long as ICE arrests are done within the guidelines and through the Constitution, we need to come together to work on making New York City and America safe.”

Imperatrice said that law enforcement, despite being in different departments, want to work together to “get the worst of the worst off our streets.”

“I never understood why law enforcement wouldn’t work with other law enforcement agencies. That just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense,” he said. “The goal is we should be welcoming each other across the board to make this community safer and get the worst of the worst off of our streets.”

New York is one of a number of “sanctuary” jurisdictions that do not cooperate with ICE detainers

The raids came as Democratic states and cities are preparing their response to Trump’s freezing of “all federal financial assistance,” prompting outrage from James.

“My office will be taking imminent legal action against this administration’s unconstitutional pause on federal funding,” the attorney general wrote on X. “We won’t sit idly by while this administration harms our families.”

In a Monday post on X, ICE reported 1,179 single-day arrests and lodged 853 detainers, which means “there’s probable cause to believe that the person is removable from the United States under federal immigration law.”

In the last week, the Department of Homeland Security said that “law enforcement officials have removed and returned 7,300 illegal aliens.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to the White House and James’ office for comment.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is facing backlash after her comments following a recent ICE raid in New York City. James, a vocal critic of President Trump and his immigration policies, took to social media to condemn the raid and express her support for the immigrant community.

Many critics are slamming James for what they see as politicizing the issue and using it to further her own agenda. Some are calling her comments irresponsible and questioning her ability to effectively represent all New Yorkers, regardless of their immigration status.

It remains to be seen how James will respond to the criticism, but one thing is clear: her remarks have sparked a heated debate about the role of elected officials in immigration enforcement.

  • Fox News Host Slammed for Saying Husbands Shouldn’t Help with This Errand

Fox News host Jesse Watters is getting backlash for his recent comments about former second gentleman Doug Emhoff completing a common household errand.

During a segment on Fox News Live, Watters, 46, discussed a clip of Emhoff grocery shopping with his wife, former Vice President Kamala Harris.

“What kind of husband goes grocery shopping with his wife?” Watters asked.

“A normal one?” one person commented on X, along with several others who criticized Watters for asking the question.

“What kind of husband does not?” another commenter said on X, while a further user joked, “This has to be a skit.”

Some husbands chimed in as well, with one writing on X, “My wife I shop together, frequently! So what is Watters’ issue?” Another said, “Dude needs to get out more. Heck, I do a lot of the grocery shopping since I love cooking and eating.”

    John Lamparski/Getty

This isn’t the first time Watters has received backlash for comments he’s made on a Fox broadcast.

Shortly after Harris entered the presidential race in July 2024, Watters made similarly controversial comments about masculinity in response to a “White Dudes for Harris” fundraising event, saying that he couldn’t understand why “any man would vote Democrat” because it’s “not the party of strength.”

“And to be a man and then vote for a woman just because she’s a woman is either childish — that person has mommy issues — or they are just trying to be accepted by other women,” Watters said, before adding the divisive line: “I heard the scientists say the other day that when a man votes for a woman, he actually transitions into a woman.”

In April 2022 he sparked controversy after he shared that he once “let the air out of” his now-wife Emma DiGiovine’s tires when he “was trying to get [her] to date” him.

“She couldn’t go anywhere. She needed a lift, I said, ‘Hey, you need a lift?’ She hopped right in the car,” Watters said during an episode of his panel series The Five.

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

“Is that the first time you did it or did you use that before?” asked Jeanine Pirro about Watters’ tire-deflating strategy, to which he responded at the time, “Works like a charm.”

“It has a happy ending!” added Watters, who wed DiGiovine in December 2019. “We’re married!”

The moment subsequently went viral on social media, drawing a range of reactions and criticism. This prompted Watters to clarify in a later episode of the show that his comments about the incident had been “a joke” and he had “never deflated anyone’s tires.”

Watters also received some criticism in July 2023 for comments he made after the Florida State Board of Education approved academic standards requiring middle schools to teach students that enslaved people “developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”

“This is historical fact that slaves did develop skills while they were enslaved and used those skills as blacksmiths, in agriculture, tailoring, in the shipping business, to then use to benefit themselves and their families once they were freed,” Watters said on The Five.

Stating that the issue was “not controversial,” Watters added that it “actually speaks to the resistance and the aptitude of the enslaved African Americans who were at the time able to better themselves and able to improve their situation despite brutal, brutal conditions.”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham recently came under fire for controversial comments she made on her show, where she argued that husbands shouldn’t have to help with grocery shopping.

Ingraham stated, “Husbands shouldn’t have to waste their time and energy on something as trivial as grocery shopping. It’s the wife’s job to take care of the household duties, while the husband focuses on more important matters.”

Her remarks sparked outrage among viewers and social media users, who criticized her outdated and sexist views on gender roles. Many pointed out that household chores should be shared equally between partners, regardless of gender.

Ingraham’s comments not only perpetuate harmful stereotypes and reinforce traditional gender norms, but they also undermine the importance of teamwork and mutual respect in a relationship.

It’s clear that Ingraham’s remarks were tone-deaf and out of touch with the modern reality of many households, where both partners work and share responsibilities. It’s important to challenge and push back against such harmful and regressive attitudes, and instead promote equality and partnership in all aspects of life.

  • Bill Maher’s new stand-up special slammed by liberal media outlets

Liberal media outlets dumped on comedian Bill Maher’s new HBO stand-up special, urging viewers to “SKIP IT.”

Reviewers at MSNBC.com, Decider, Salon, and Cracked slammed the special that came out Jan. 10, “Is Anyone Else Seeing This?” as “lazy” and rehashed. They also took issue with the comedian’s jokes that poked fun at far-left ideology.

“There’s nothing exciting here, and nothing you’re not already seeing or hearing from him on most other weekends in Real Time, so SKIP IT,” Decider’s Sean McCarthy wrote in his Monday review.

Maher’s special targeted the fringes on the right and left, mocking everything from MAGA to “woke” culture. He also took his share of digs at President-elect Donald Trump, saying he could possibly “blow up the world on the first day” and quipping about him getting his “ear pierced” in last year’s assassination attempt.

BILL MAHER DISMISSES SPECULATION OF QUITTING HBO SHOW: ‘HAVE TO DRAG ME OFF’

A variety of liberal outlets slammed HBO host Bill Maher with scathing reviews of his new comedy special.  (Screenshot/HBO)

McCarthy ripped the comedian for a lack of memorable or edgy material, stating that it doesn’t push the envelope for his viewers in any real way.

“Maher believes he has found a comfortable lane by claiming to be a centrist liberal who’s only seemed to move right-wing because the liberals have gotten ‘too woke,’” he said, adding, “It’s not so much a place for comedians so much as it’s a place for those Americans who’ve already established comfortable lifestyles for themselves and don’t want to be disrupted by anything outside of their bubble.”

“Real talk: Maher seems incapable or unwilling to listen or learn. Just like too many people radicalized by their social media feeds, Maher’s comedy is stuck in his own bubble,” he said, adding, “This is comedy for people who still post on Facebook, still forward email chains, and still watch his show.”

In a review titled, “Bill Maher serves up old, warmed-over beefs in new special,” MSNBC.com columnist Jacques Berlinerblau described the special as a “rather listless set.”

CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURE

“That’s partly because Maher’s positions on these issues are so well known that his punchlines failed to surprise. He also seems unwilling to put in the craftwork needed to make his stand-up material edgy or thought-provoking,” the reviewer explained.

Berlinerblau added that Maher isn’t even self-aware enough in his own special to critique the fact that he “seems to have transmogrified into an old, conservative White guy shaking his fist at Gen Z, new gender categories, EpiPens and anything else that didn’t exist in 1964.”

Cracked.com’s Matt Solomon savaged Maher’s special by comparing it to comedy from another entertainer he appeared to disdain.

“[T]he veteran comic makes the same lazy arguments Rob Schneider does anytime a podcast host offers him a mic and a chair:  The Left is trying to take away his free speech, and everyone but the comic is crazy,” he wrote.

Solomon continued, “He hates victims, and yet the irony escapes him as he wails about all who would squash his free speech. (Another irony: At last check, no one has attempted to silence Bill Maher.)”

His review concluded with a plea for Maher to end his stand-up career.  He wrote, “Back in May, Maher told Jerry Seinfeld that this HBO special might well be his last. With his TV show and podcasts doing well, maybe it’s time to move on. ‘After this year, I’m going to stop (doing stand-up),’ he pledged. After watching Is Anyone Else Seeing This, I have one question: Bill, can we get that in writing?”

Maher confirmed to CNN’s Jake Tapper that he was likely to retire from his stand-up career soon, though he insisted he’ll continue HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.

Salon.com’s senior critic Melanie McFarland described the special as “lazy comedy,” saying that it consisted of material that “better jesters composted years ago.”

McFarland mocked Maher, stating, “How’s this for breaking news? Maher hates cancel culture, which doesn’t exist, and ‘woke-ism,’ the exhausted right-wing specter none can define. Maher announces his professed support of the trans community in the same way every other hack comic does, in that he says the obligatory words to make the audience comfortable with the uninspired observations that follow them.”

Seemingly addressing complaints from progressives about his targeting of the far-left, Maher made clear in the special that he views Republicans, Trump and the political far-right as the greater threat to the country because of their refusal to accept the 2020 election defeat, but he added, “I don’t hold my tongue for anybody.”

Bill Maher discussed his past calls for President Biden to drop out of the 2024 race before it became fashionable in his new comedy special. (Screenshot/HBO – Getty Images)

“Don’t tell me the left hasn’t changed,” Maher said. “So you can threaten me with whatever label you want. I don’t bend the knee. If you do something goofy, I’m going to call you out, no matter where you are on the spectrum. I speak to a different group of people who are not ideologically captured by either side. Democrats, independents, and non-drooling Republicans, that’s my constituency.”

Maher also addressed transgender ideology, free speech, fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, his past calls for President Biden to drop out of the race and more in the one-hour special.

Bill Maher, known for his controversial and unapologetic humor, has once again found himself facing criticism from liberal media outlets for his latest stand-up special.

Titled “Politically Incorrect,” Maher’s special has been accused of perpetuating harmful stereotypes and making insensitive jokes about marginalized communities. Critics have called out Maher for his offensive language and lack of sensitivity towards current social issues.

Many liberal media outlets have slammed Maher for his outdated and offensive humor, with some even calling for a boycott of his stand-up special. The backlash has sparked a debate about the line between edgy comedy and harmful rhetoric, with some defending Maher’s right to free speech and others calling for accountability for his words.

Despite the controversy, Maher has remained unapologetic and defiant in the face of criticism. Whether this will have a lasting impact on his career remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – Bill Maher’s latest stand-up special has certainly stirred up a storm in the world of comedy.

  • Whitney Cummings slammed for wild conspiracy about L.A. lesbian firefighters

Comedian, actress, writer, and podcaster Whitney Cummings has been slammed for sharing controversial remarks on social media in reaction to the Los Angeles fires — including a homophobic conspiracy theory.

Amid sharing posts that declared she would arm herself with a wooden sword to fight alleged arsonists and blaming the media for misreporting information about the fires, Cummings posted a video Friday questioning the leadership of the “lesbians in charge of” the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Sign up for the Out Newsletter to keep up with what’s new in LGBTQ+ culture and entertainment — delivered three times a week straight (well…) to your inbox!

“I came across a video of the fire chief. A lesbian. Love it…. Tried to be one, didn’t take,” Cummings said in an X video. “I don’t think I’m a lesbian…I just live in Los Angeles. The men are so effeminate that honestly, at this point, dating a woman is like the straightest thing you can do.”

Cummings is referring to Los Angeles’s first out LGBTQ+ fire chief, Kristin Crowley. Throughout the disaster, Crowley has become a lightning rod of social media criticism among conservatives, who have called her a “DEI hire” and accused her of being unqualified — despite decades of experience.

Though Cummings acknowledged that “lesbians can be firefighters” and that she’s not “thinking about your genitals or your preferences” when it comes to emergency responders, she then proposed that gay women running the LAFD are deliberately “recruiting more lesbians” to work with them.

Cummings compared this alleged hiring process to a gay man only hiring other gay men, a straight woman wanting to hire “more hot guys” to work with, or a straight man declaring that his workplace needs “more hot blondes.” Cummings then posed the question, “Isn’t that essentially just recruiting people in your dating pool to work at your office?”

The video concluded with Cummings showing an X post claiming that “all of the people in charge of L.A.’s fire response are lesbians named Kristin.” She adds, “I don’t recall voting on a prop that said we could recruit our fire team off Grindr. What?”

    x.com

Lesbians were not Cummings’s only controversial target. In other incendiary social media posts, Cummings mused about “people in L.A. talking about fire retardant more than they need to because they’re having fun using the R-word again.” She also joked about hoping that alleged arsonists “aren’t near where Diddy stored his video tapes.”

And when an X user replied with a conspiracy theory that the recent L.A. fires were related to a “massive land grab and the upcoming Olympics,” Cummings replied, “A lot of people talking about this.”

Out has reached out to Whitney Cummings for comment.

Best known for creating the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls, starring on NBC’s Whitney, and hosting the Good for You podcast, Cummings is set to appear soon as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17.

How are people reacting to Whitney Cummings’s posts?

Whitney Cummings’s conspiracy theories about the 2025 Los Angeles fires have prompted a negative response from Hollywood stars, influencers, and other social media users. Content creator and Out100 honoree Matt Bernstein (@mattxiv) wrote on X: “I’m fine with a straight guy but THREE straight men? Something’s fishy,” in response to Cummings’s reaction about three lesbian firefighters.

    x.com

Without naming names, actor, writer, and comedian Guy Branum shared a few reactions Saturday that seem pointed at Cummings. These X posts read: “Multiple lesbians being at the top of an organization that requires brute strength, technical skill, and a desire to save people isn’t DEI, it’s nature taking its course.”

    x.com

In what seemed to be a reaction to Cummings’s intent to fight arsonists with wooden swords, Branum stated, “If you are trying to hunt down an arsonist with a blowtorch, you should probably bring a weapon that isn’t, you know, highly flammable.”

    x.com

Branum also called out this type of behavior in an Instagram video:

“This is not a universal amongst comedians right now, but I just wanted to say that I think being a vigilante is bad. Going into dangerous areas where there are active fires and emergency crews are working, with weapons, because you think you’re going to hunt down the arsonists… It’s danger to yourself, it’s a danger to innocent people who you could mistake for arsonists, and it’s a danger to the rescue crews who might have to save you from harm you do to yourself.”

The Bros star continued, “I love free speech, [and] I love America protecting free speech, but I think that people advocating, modeling, and doing dangerous things during times of crisis is dumb and it’s wrong. I feel obliged to say: I don’t think you should do it. I don’t think you should encourage people to do it. I think it’s really dumb. And I think, if you don’t like California, I’m excited for you to leave.”

    www.instagram.com

@theserfstv shared a Family Guy meme that shows Lois Griffin staring at a pill bottle that reads:

“Throwing LGBTQ+ people under the bus to salvage dead career.”

    x.com

    X user @KrangTNelson wrote:

“[Seeing people pour gasoline into the sewer] f*ck I gotta text comedian Whitney Cummings about this.”

    x.com

Cummings is far from the only person to blame LGBTQ+ people for the L.A. fires. In addition to the online vitriol aimed at Crowley, a man made headlines last week for saying “all the gay people in L.A.” were responsible for the destruction in an interview with local reporters, who quickly shut him down.

    This story is developing…

Whitney Cummings is facing backlash after making a controversial claim about lesbian firefighters in Los Angeles. In a recent podcast episode, Cummings suggested that there is a secret society of lesbian firefighters in L.A. who are deliberately setting fires in order to gain more power and influence in the city.

The comedian’s wild conspiracy theory has been met with widespread criticism and disbelief. Many people have called out Cummings for spreading baseless and harmful rumors about a group of dedicated public servants. Some have accused her of perpetuating harmful stereotypes and stoking fear and distrust among the public.

It is important to remember that conspiracy theories like the one Cummings has put forth can have real-world consequences, especially when they target marginalized communities. Spreading false information and inciting unfounded fear and suspicion only serves to divide us and undermine trust in our institutions.

As of now, Cummings has not issued a public apology or retracted her statements. It remains to be seen how she will address the backlash and whether she will take responsibility for her harmful words. In the meantime, it is important to approach such outlandish claims with skepticism and critical thinking, rather than giving in to fear and prejudice.

Louisiana Gov. Slammed For Tone-Deaf Post Hours After Terrorist Attack

Tough one yesterday. Tough way to start a new year. No denying that. No hiding from it. No running from it.

What happened in New Orleans was disgusting. The videos are something out of a third-world country, not America. It’s infuriating. Everyone should be angry today. This crap shouldn’t happen in the US of A. But it did, and it was awful.

Now that that’s all outta the way, let’s check in with Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who pumped out quite possibly the most tone-deaf tweet in the history of time last night as his state was still reeling from a literal terrorist attack mere hours earlier.

    Strap in:

The people of New Orleans saw right through this one

Whoaaaaaaa Nellie! What a post. Incredible.

    Now, couple things here …

    1. I get it. I understand what the Gov. was trying to do here. It’s sort of like what my great Gov. would do down here in Florida after a hurricane. You still have an economy to support and people need to eat. You also have to send a message of strength. I get it all.

    2. That being said, this was not some natural disaster. This was a terrorist attack in your state, right down the road from where you’re eating dinner and taking pictures. There were bodies lying in the street hours ago. Every single law enforcement agency in the country is in town right now.

Again, I get what the Gov. here was trying to convey, but … whoof. I just figured once he – or one of his social media interns – read the comments (which we will get to here in just a second) they would’ve immediately scrapped this post.

But nope. Here we are, hours later, and it’s still up and … thriving.

Well, thriving may not be the right word here. Let’s head to the comments section to see if we can pick out a better one:

    Tone-deaf. That’s the one! Let’s go with “tone-deaf.”

Again, I get it. Life has to go back to normal … somewhat … in these situations. The American people need to see it resume, because this country is built on resiliency and never, ever bending the knee to terrorists.

But, maybe pump out a post like this … tonight? Give it 24 hours and then maybe go out to dinner downtown?

Oh well. What’s done is done.

    Prime rib for all!

Louisiana Gov. Slammed For Tone-Deaf Post Hours After Terrorist Attack

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards is facing backlash for a tone-deaf post on social media just hours after a devastating terrorist attack rocked the nation.

The governor’s post, which featured a photo of him smiling and waving to the camera, was captioned with a message about the importance of staying positive and looking towards the future. Many critics have called out the governor for his insensitivity and lack of empathy during a time of national mourning.

In the wake of such a tragic event, it is crucial for our leaders to show compassion and solidarity with those who are grieving. Governor Edwards’ post not only missed the mark, but also showed a blatant disregard for the gravity of the situation.

As the nation comes together to mourn the lives lost in this senseless act of violence, it is clear that we need leaders who will stand with us in solidarity and offer comfort and support. Governor Edwards’ tone-deaf post only serves to further divide us during this difficult time.
