Man United star Joshua Zirkzee ‘splits with long-term model girlfriend’, just six months after moving to England in £36.5m deal

Manchester United star Joshua Zirkzee has reportedly split up with his long-time partner.

Zirkzee, 23, has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford since joining the club from Bologna for £36.5million in the summer.

The forward scored on his debut against Fulham, but has struggled to kick on, with the Dutchman unable to nail down a consistent starting place.

Zirkzee has netted just four times in 25 games and United boss Ruben Amorim has regularly preferred Rasmus Hojlund in attack. 

And now the 23-year-old has suffered a fresh blow, according to reports, with GSM claiming that Zirkzee has split with his girlfriend, Celina Jada Kerr.

The report claims the pair were known to be ‘longtime sweethearts’ from Zirkzee’s time at Bayern Munich, who he joined as a 16-year-old.

Kerr is a model and influencer from Germany who graduated in Berlin with a degree in Media and Communication Management. 

She had been by Zirkzee’s side during his time with the German giants and at Bologna, while the Dutchman also enjoyed loan spells with Parma and Anderlecht in his formative years in the game.

They had generally kept their personal lives private on social media, but were once seen embracing on a video shoot with JD Sports.

During the shoot, the couple wore unisex JD Sports tracksuits, with Kerr proudly sharing this on her Instagram feed.

However, questions began to surface about her relationship with Zirkzee when she wasn’t seen around the forward in Manchester following his move.

There were similarly eyebrows raised when neither of them shared pictures of each other during the summer.

The report goes onto add that Zirkzee and Kerr have now unfollowed each other on social media.

The model, who has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram, has also begun to delete posts of the couple, including the aforementioned JD Sports shoot.

Kerr now only follows Zirkzee’s father as they both continue to plot their new lives apart.

Zirkzee was substituted after 54 minutes during the Red Devils’ disastrous 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth on Sunday, which came after he had scored off the bench against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup last Thursday. 

The 23-year-old, who has started just 10 times for United, returns to action on Boxing Day when Amorim’s side take on Wolves at Molineux.
