  • Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Admits He and Robyn Are in ‘Different Places’ About Coyote Pass Sale

Sister Wives star Kody Brown admitted that he and his wife, Robyn Brown, aren’t on the same page when it comes to selling their Coyote Pass property.

“I love Coyote Pass. I always have,” Robyn, 46, said in a teaser clip for the Sunday, January 26, episode shared by Us Weekly. “It’s hard to think of letting it go.”

Meanwhile, Kody, 55, admitted that he and Robyn “haven’t really synced up” of their future plans for the property.

“We’re in different places and it’s an in and out,” the Brown patriarch continued. “It’s like sometimes I want to keep it, sometimes I want to sell it. And Robyn knows we need to sell it but sometimes wants to keep it.”

Kody, Robyn and his ex-wives Christine Brown, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown bought the Arizona property in 2018 for $820,000. Shortly after they made the purchase, the family faced several delays when trying to break ground and his ultimate spiritual divorces prevented them from ever building houses on the property for each wife like they planned.

While the family once had high hopes for Coyote Pass, Robyn admitted that she now has mixed feelings about the land after their polygamous family fell apart.

“Every time I’m at Coyote Pass, I’m just like, my heart aches,” she said in the teaser clip. “I [just] see the vision that I’ve always imagined, you know, all of the space and the houses.”

Kody then admitted he understood where Robyn was coming from, noting that Coyote Pass is “literally the last place our family ever got everybody together.”

“It’s just been so difficult and so sad with the family,” Robyn added, noting that the property represents what their family could have been if they had not fallen apart. “I know everybody just wants out of the pain.”

Christine, 52, was Kody’s first wife to leave him in November 2021, while Janelle, 55, followed suit in December 2022. Shortly after, Kody and Meri, 54, confirmed they decided to end their spiritual marriage in January 2023.

While Christine sold her portion of Coyote Pass to Kody and Robyn for $10 in 2022, fans are currently watching Janelle and Meri navigate what they want to do with their portion of the land during season 19 of the TLC show.

Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Admits He and Robyn Are in ‘Different Places’ About Coyote Pass Sale

Janelle had expressed her concerns that Kody and Robyn would take advantage of her and Meri in the potential sale, and the businessman even admitted he “thought about screwing” Janelle over during the November 27, 2024, episode.

“OK, so I’m being honest, but I won’t. My wife with a conscience won’t let me,” Kody added that the time.

Kody went on to explain his reasoning by arguing that Janelle would do the same if she were in his position. “[Janelle] doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe,” he said.

More recently, Janelle revealed she hired a lawyer to deal with the situation during the January 19 episode. “I actually hired a lawyer. I’ve found one and I put the retainer down, and basically I’m just going to be going for separation of assets,” she explained. “You know what I mean? Like that’s really all I can go for.”

Sister Wives’ fans have been anxiously awaiting updates on the Brown family’s plans for their Coyote Pass property, and it seems that there may be some discord among the spouses. In a recent interview, Kody Brown admitted that he and his fourth wife, Robyn, are in “different places” when it comes to selling the property.

Kody explained that while he is eager to sell the property and move the family to one centralized location, Robyn is more hesitant about the idea. He shared that Robyn has concerns about uprooting their family and moving to a new location, especially with their children still in school.

This admission has sparked speculation among fans about potential rifts within the family and differing priorities among the spouses. Some fans have expressed concerns about the impact of this disagreement on the family dynamic and the future of their living arrangements.

As the Brown family continues to navigate their unique living situation, it remains to be seen how they will ultimately resolve this issue and what the future holds for Coyote Pass. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.

  • Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Says None of Us Are Talking’ Due to Lack of ‘Trust’ amid Coyote Pass Sale

Meri Brown is looking out for herself when it comes to her portion of Coyote Pass.

The Sister Wives star opened up about the ongoing drama surrounding the Flagstaff, Ariz. property that she shares with her ex Kody, his wife Robyn and her former sister wife Janelle in an all-new episode on Sunday, Jan. 26.

During a video call, Janelle asks Meri about an email she sent to the group, and Meri explains it was her way of “starting a conversation” about what to do with the property. After a series of email exchanges, Meri recalls how Kody finally decided that he wants to sell the land and he’s going to find a realtor to help him do it.

“I don’t think you get to decide what to do with it,” a frustrated Meri says to Janelle of their ex. “Sorry, you are not the head of my family.”

In a confessional clip, Meri dives deeper into her frustration surrounding the property, including how she thinks everyone has their own agenda.

“I feel like Kody and Robyn probably have some plan of what they want to do, and how they want to handle it,” she says of the sale. “I think that Janelle has some sort of plan, and I know that I do as well.”

She adds, “And none of us are talking to each other because none of us trust each other.”

During the call, Janelle admits she’s been talking to a lawyer about protecting her portion of the property.

After she advises Meri she should do the same, Meri reveals that she’s open to taking legal action as it feels like Kody is keeping her in the dark regarding the details of the sale.

“There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the way things have been done in the family, the way that Kody is with me and has been with me for many, many years,” she explains. “So I think that’s why I’m going to get a lawyer to help me through this process.”

She notes that she’s ready to put herself first for a change after years of trying to keep the peace between herself and Kody.

“I felt like for quite a few years, I’ve just kind of sat back and just not wanted to ruffle feathers. So I haven’t pushed the issue on many things, but I will push the issue now,” she says.

In a recent Jan. 19 episode, Janelle previously broke the news to her former sister wife, Christine, that she officially hired a lawyer to help her with the “separation of assets” and to make sure the sale is handled fairly.

Christine agreed that’s the right thing to do as Janelle explained she didn’t trust Kody to be fair during the process.

The division of Coyote Pass has been an ongoing point of contention between the exes.

Before their plural marriage fell apart, the group initially bought the land plots so their families could all live close to each other. Christine also had a share of the land, but she sold it back to Kody in August 2022 following their separation. (She was the first to leave the plural marriage in November 2021.)

Robyn is now Kody’s last remaining wife from the original marriage, as Meri and Janelle both announced their separation from Kody within 14 months of Christine leaving.

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

Sister Wives’ Meri Brown recently opened up about the strained relationship between her and her sister wives, revealing that they are not speaking to each other due to a lack of trust. The tension between the women has reportedly been escalating as they navigate the sale of their shared property, Coyote Pass.

In a candid post on social media, Meri shared her frustrations about the lack of communication among the group. She expressed her disappointment that none of the sister wives are talking to each other, highlighting the breakdown of trust as a major factor in their current situation.

The sale of Coyote Pass has been a contentious issue for the sister wives, with differing opinions on how to proceed. The ongoing negotiations and disagreements have only exacerbated the existing tensions within the family.

Meri’s honesty about the strained relationships within the sister wives’ dynamic sheds light on the challenges they are facing. As they navigate this difficult time, it is clear that rebuilding trust will be a crucial step towards resolving their issues and moving forward as a united family.

Stay tuned for more updates on the sister wives’ journey as they work through their differences and strive to find common ground amidst the sale of Coyote Pass.

  • Officers wrangle coyote by its tail from ‘odd’ hiding spot in grocery store, video shows

    By Mike Stunson
    The News Tribune (Tacoma, Wash.)

CHICAGO — Officers in Illinois made a startling discovery in the refrigerated aisle of an Aldi grocery store when they spotted a coyote hiding in the shelving, a video shows.

Wildlife officers with Chicago Animal Care and Control safely wrangled the coyote from the North Kedzie Avenue store Monday, Jan. 13, according to WTTW.

In a video shared to X, formerly Twitter, two officers were seen looking for the critter when one of them pulled it out of the refrigerator by its tail.

The video, which has been viewed more than 6.5 million times as of early Jan. 14, shows the officer begin to remove the wily coyote from the store. It appeared to be uninjured.

State troopers will be responsible for handling any police-related emergency calls in Central City until a decision is made as to the future of the department

“It picked an odd location. They do this sometimes. They make a mistake. They’re trying to avoid us. They’re trying to hide from us,” Stan Gehrt with the Cook County Coyote Project told WLS.

Chicago Animal Care and Control officials said the coyote will be assessed at Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation, according to WMAQ. If it is deemed healthy, it will be released back to the wild.

The organization took the opportunity to remind residents that January through March is coyote mating season, meaning the animals are “more active and may be seen more frequently.”

Coyotes typically try to avoid humans, but the organization encouraged people to stay alert and avoid feeding the animals.

Police said no injuries were reported from the Aldi incident, WMAQ reported.

In a bizarre turn of events, officers were called to a grocery store to wrangle a coyote that had somehow found its way inside. The coyote was discovered hiding in an ‘odd’ spot within the store, prompting a unique rescue operation.

Video footage shows officers carefully approaching the coyote, which had wedged itself into a tight corner near the produce section. With swift movements, the officers managed to grab the coyote by its tail and safely escort it out of the store.

Customers and employees looked on in disbelief as the unlikely scene unfolded before their eyes. Many praised the officers for their quick thinking and bravery in handling the situation.

While the coyote may have caused a stir in the grocery store, it was ultimately unharmed and released back into the wild. The incident serves as a reminder of the unexpected encounters that can occur in even the most mundane of places.

  • Coyote Pulled From Aldi Cold Food Section Is ‘In Great Shape’

Shoppers at an Aldi in Chicago got one deal they hadn’t bargained for on Monday ― a coyote hiding in the grocery store’s refrigerated section.

Video of the incident, which didn’t look pleasant for the coyote, went viral earlier this week. The footage shows Chicago police officers attempting to wrangle the canine with a mop, then pulling him out by his tail before he scurries back under a cold food display.

Ultimately, city animal control officers arrived and took the coyote into custody, CBS News reported. The coyote was then transferred to the care of Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation.

“The coyote is unharmed, but he is scared,” the nonprofit wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday. “We will return him to the wild as he is ready.”

The wildlife facility floated the theory that the coyote went into the store trying to flee “human traffic” and then “hid in the refrigerated section in an attempt to hide from people inside the store.”

Speaking to Chicago radio station B96 on Thursday, Chicago Animal Care and Control spokesperson Armando Tejeda said that the coyote is “in great shape” despite the harrowing experience seen in the video.

Tejeda noted that it’s coyote mating season, and that the animal was likely on an excursion to mark his territory, letting other males looking for love know the area was “taken.”

Responding to a (hopefully kidding) query on Facebook about whether the coyote will be “up for adoption,” Chicago animal control, which as of Saturday had 238 dogs needing homes, responded, “No, but some of his very distant cousins are!”

In a surprising turn of events at an Aldi grocery store, a coyote was found in the cold food section, but fortunately, it is reported to be “in great shape.”

Shoppers and employees were shocked to discover the wild animal among the frozen goods, but animal control was quickly called to safely remove the coyote from the store.

Despite the unusual circumstances, officials have assured the public that the coyote is healthy and unharmed. It is believed that the animal may have wandered into the store seeking shelter or food.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of coexisting with wildlife and handling such situations with care and compassion. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending with the coyote being safely relocated back to its natural habitat.

As for the Aldi store, it seems that things have returned to normal, but this unexpected visitor will surely be a topic of conversation for some time to come.
