  • Morgan Wallen adds second Camp Randall concert due to high demand | Entertainment News


    MADISON, Wis. — You asked and he listened – Country superstar Morgan Wallen added an additional show at Camp Randall.

    Wallen’s second concert will be June 29, following his first concert on June 28.

    He will have Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert as his special guests for his “I’m the Problem” tour.

    The tour comes on the heels of Wallen’s fourth studio album “I’m the Problem.” His last album “One Thing At A Time” topped the Billboard 200 for 19 weeks and produced seven No. 1 country singles.

    The economic impact of these concerts could have a wide ranging benefit to Madison beyond just selling tickets, as News 3 Now reported on Tuesday.

    Sony Interactive Entertainment has appointed Hideaki Nishino as president and CEO, effective April 1, 2025, the company announced. Nishino was previously appointed Platform Business Group CEO alongside Studio Business Group CEO Hermen Hulst on June 1, 2024. Hulst will continue to serve as CEO of the Studio Business Group and report to Nishino.

    β€œI am truly honored to take the helm at Sony Interactive Entertainment,” Nishino said in a press release. β€œTechnology and creativity are two of our biggest strengths as we continue to focus on developing experiences that deliver entertainment for everyone. We will continue to grow the PlayStation community in new ways, such as [intellectual property] expansion, while also delivering the best in technology innovation. I want to thank Hermen for his expertise and leadership as he continues his role as CEO, Studio Business Group. I am deeply grateful for the PlayStation community and their continued support and I am very excited for what the future holds.”

    Nishino will also continue to serve as CEO of the Platform Business Group, while Hulst will continue to lead the development, publishing, and business operations of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s first-party content.

    Sony Group Corporation and Sony Interactive Entertainment also announced that Sony Group Corporation president, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer Hiroki Totoki will step down from his position as Sony Interactive Entertainment chairman to become president and CEO of Sony Group Corporation, succeeding current president and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida, who will become director, representative corporate executive officer, and chairman.

    Lin Tao, who is currently serving as senior vice president of finance and corporate development and strategy for Sony Interactive Entertainment, will step down from her position to become chief financial officer of Sony Group Corporation. Tao’s successor at Sony Interactive Entertainment will be announced at a later time.

    β€œIt has been a pleasure working more closely with Hermen and Nishino and gaining insight into the ever-changing, fast-paced world of Sony Interactive Entertainment,” said Totoki. β€œAs we hand the baton to Nishino and this exceptional leadership team, I am confident that [Sony Interactive Entertainment] will reach new heights in the days ahead. I love this thing it is really good and people are saying that it’s breaking really easily it’s the complete opposite of course you still want to be careful with it because it is screen I love this thing I don’t even need to plug it into a wall all I have to do is plug it into my console or my pc you can also plug it into your wall if you want, but best portable monitor ever the speakers are kind of quiet, but most monitors don’t even have speakers but it is worth the money

    Incredible value, amazing monitor for the price (Arzopa 1080p 144hz monitor w/ freesync and HDR)

    Let me start out by saying the build quality is phenomenal. The packaging makes it feel like you just dropped at least $300 on this thing. The lightweight build is actually lightweight, the screen is bright and vibrant, the bezels are small, and the device itself is incredibly thin.

    I'll preface this with one thing- you need need need to get a Viture USB-C adapter with power delivery (yes the one for the XR Glasses) or something similar. It's not required, the screen can work with just power delivery from the device itself- but you'll be sorely missing out.

    A USB-C adapter with power delivery allows you to take full advantage of the monitors capabilities without sacrificing display features on your PC or console itself

    ROG Ally connected with the adapter:
    1080p 144hz or 120hz w/ FreeSync Variable Refresh rate and HDR in full 30W power mode with the official ROG Ally AC adapter. Just make sure you turn on FreeSync in the monitor's OSD and HDR if you want it.

    With the Switch:
    1. A Nintendo Switch Dock is required if you don't have a USB-C adapter with power delivery
    2. I had to turn off the Switch TV power mode settings because this locks the switch if the screen turns off- and it might as you attempt to connect it
    3. The connection didn't work at first (at least for me) unless I set the Switch TV Settings resolution mode to 480p before connecting- then switched it back to 1080p once on the screen was visible- BUT
    4. Once it works it works! No compromises. Even with the standard Nintendo Switch 5W AC adapter
    5. If you don't like that you need the AC adapter I believe you'll just need to find a portable battery with decent hi wattage power delivery. I've read the 20000mah Anker works- IΜΆ'ΜΆlΜΆlΜΆ ΜΆtΜΆeΜΆsΜΆtΜΆ ΜΆtΜΆhΜΆiΜΆsΜΆ ΜΆaΜΆnΜΆdΜΆ ΜΆuΜΆpΜΆdΜΆaΜΆtΜΆeΜΆ ΜΆtΜΆhΜΆeΜΆ ΜΆrΜΆeΜΆvΜΆiΜΆeΜΆwΜΆ ΜΆoΜΆnΜΆcΜΆeΜΆ ΜΆIΜΆ ΜΆcΜΆaΜΆnΜΆ ΜΆcΜΆoΜΆnΜΆfΜΆiΜΆrΜΆmΜΆ.ΜΆ Can confirm- Anker 20000mah Power bank works!

    Without an adapter you can still use the screen (not the Switch)- but there will be limitations. I have not thoroughly tested it with the ROG Ally or a different Windows PC but I imagine that if you push the screen too much without some form of external power source it will likely disconnect. This should be expected. The thing is- you'll always need some form of adapter for the devices you connect if they don't have a discrete HDMI out or video out- otherwise you're just draining your laptops battery. It's worth the investment.

    Other features:

    Audio – Speakers are nothing to write home about but they get the job done and I'm more than appreciative of that

    HDR – Again, nothing special- but it does work fine. I'm not super keen on knowing what to look for between SDR and HDR but it does get the job done.

    4K / 2K Downscaling – This monitor can support up to 4K resolutions, but downscaled to 1080p. It's great for something like a PS5 or Xbox- consoles that I've found to actually lower graphics settings in some games simply for using 1080p. A good example is Assassins Creed Odyssey, which looks loads better when your console is set to 4K.

    Refresh Rate – It's no joke. For the first time I can be competitive in Halo Infinite on my ROG Ally. Between free sync and 120hz/144hz picture quality matches my Samsung Odyssey G9. (Side note… would be neat to have an 32:9 portable monitor but I can't imagine that would work without the screen being some sort of foldable)

    Stand – I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and they must have redone the stand design because it this recent model (As of 3.31.2024) is super sturdy. No separate kick stand you have to carry around- it comes with a long arm that allows you reposition the screen easily depending on the height of the surface the monitor is relative to your eye level.

    Cables – Includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB Type-A to USB-C cable (which I've yet to test), and an HDMI to Mini-HDMI cable. I simply use the USB-C to C cable while connected the Viture USB-C adapter.

    Warranty – 1 year and can be extended to 2 year with a full refund if issues encountered within 30 days of purchase. If I do have problems I'll update here if the warranty process is a pain.

    Cons:
    Honestly- none so far. It does not have a cover so you'll want to order the Arzopa sleeve since the screen is otherwise unprotected. But that's on discount if you purchase the monitor so you can save $4.

    Overall, this monitor is badass.

    I will update this review if the device fails or I find issues worth noting. 5 out of 5 stars

    I have become so accustomed to working with multiple screens that my productivity grinds to a halt if I'm restricted to just a single monitor. I'm in a new work role that has me remote a good deal of the time, so I needed a solution fast.

    The ARZOPA 16.1" was the solution, and it came lightning fast! A few things to note:

    1. I have a MacBook 15" air, and I can fit both the MacBook and the ARZOPA monitor inside one laptop bag, "tomtoc 360 Protective Laptop Shoulder Bag for 16-inch MacBook Pro" β€”Β I just slid a piece of foam between the two of them to keep them from rubbing in transit. Fits snugly, light as air, I can take this anywhere.

    2. It's NOT a wireless monitor, in the sense that you have to plug in a cable from your laptop to the monitor β€” but the monitor is powered through that cable, so you just have one cable from the laptop to the monitor and no power cable to worry about. It's very portable and easy-to-use, quick to set up, quick to take apart and store. When the wireless monitors cost easily three times as much as this ARZOPA, that's more than fine and acceptable in my book!

    3. Is it as good a resolution as my MacBook's retina screen? Of course not, but it looks great β€” better resolution than a lot of PC screens I've seen.

    4. Super fast, no lag, works great. Plug-and-play.

    This is possibly my favorite / most important purchase in the last year. I don't know what I'd do without this thing. If you're on the fence about whether to get it… go ahead and get it!

    Pros:
    – Built quality is excellent, material doesn't feel cheap, the panel is put together well and sturdy and lightweight at the same time.
    – It is a true IPS display, great viewing angle and it does able to display 1080p at 144hz (it's capable of doing 60hz, 100hz, 120hz & 144hz).
    – Loaded with quite a few display features, HDR, sharpness control, DCR mode, various preset modes, movie/gaming/text/standard and the standard brightness and contrast control.
    – Integrated speaker with volume control.
    – Integrated kick stand

    Cons:
    – The package doesn't come with a sleeve, so you will probably need to buy one if you need to carry this "portable" monitor around. Don't think anyone would feel safe by just putting a "naked" monitor into your laptop bag. It will for sure scratch up the screen.
    – Although the speaker is loud but sound quality is merely passable.

    When this is on sales at $160, it is great buy. At this price and such quality, it is a great buy!

    Best portable monitor! Don’t hesitate…just buy it

    I was pleasantly surprised by how good this monitor looks and feels. One of my best tech purchase this year.

    Pros

    Picture Quality: The monitor’s picture quality is amazing for its price. It is so bright compared to other comparable monitors, I don’t even have the brightness halfway and it’s already plenty bright for me. The colors also really pop. If you using a Mac, make sure you select the Adobe RGB (1998) profile to give it a better look. The defualt AZORPA color profile is oversaturated. And switch the HDR to β€œAuto” in the monitor’s OSD settings. It is also really sharp, 2K. Movies and games look really good on it. Connecting this monitor to my steam deck is a joy for my gaming sessions.

    Build: It has a solid build. The prop at the back makes it possible to adjust the stand to preference. It’s also really light.

    Cables: I love the cables that come with it. They are well-made and quality. I especially appreciate that my MacBook was able to power the monitor and display images with just one usb-c cable.

    Cons

    No protective case: I wish it came with a protective sleeve. Considering its slim profile, I suspect it will be prone to damage when thrown in a backpack multiple times for travel.

    Sound quality: The sound that comes out of this monitor is terrible. Just connect a Bluetooth speaker or headphones.

    Aspect ratio: The 16:10 aspect ratio is a bit of an odd choice. I would have preferred a 16:9. Due to the scaling options of MacOS, running the monitor at full resolution makes words very tiny and difficult to read.

    All in all, the cons are not dealbreakers for me. My only concern is the durability, especially with its thin build. Hopefully, it will continue to function for a long time.

    Just buy it!
